Good class....even though a pt professor, he came in early to help when I and others asked him for help. Responds to emails quickly....go to class, do the HW and poject and U will do ok

Don was a great teacher and made accounting 1A class fun to be in. He was very helpful - even to the point where he would come in early to help students. He made acctg easy to understand.

Hes a really good teacher. Really clear on expectations, if the class does bad he gives you a life line. He let us take home to tests to average our scores out and gives a good amount of extra credit. Hes an awesome teacher. His test are fair,but not easy. But he gives enough extra credit to make up for it. Overall awesome prof

Mr. Bowman is a good teacher. When the class performed poorly on the tests, he made it possible for the students to increase their scores. Reading/understanding the book is key to getting a good grade. Ask questions if you're struggling with the material. There is a group presentation project.

Bowman does a great job helping people out. He will explain things as many times as needed and he is really very nice. He loves accounting and it shows in class. He likes to make jokes sometimes that are really hit and miss. But it is definitely a good class to take if you need a helpful professor.

Great teacher and genuinely concerned with student's understanding of concepts. Takes textbook concepts and translates into "this is how it will apply at your job, work". Encourages classroom discussion, students helping each other. Do the HW, turn in the quizzes and ask questions in class. Highly recommend this professor.

I took the online version of this class. While the midterms in this class were quite challenging, I found that they made the proctored final seem easy in comparison. Prof. Bowman always posed online discussion questions that were relevant to the class. However, I realized that this class would have been more engaging in a traditional classroom.

Professor Bowman rocks, if you do all the extra credit you will definitely get a B but an A is certainly within reach. The homework is tedious and difficult but if you can that then you will pass test. Accounting is a difficult subject but Bowman makes it worth it. I'm taking him again!

Prof. Bowman will clearly outline what needs to be done to earn a good grade. I took the class online and when I had to email a question, he promptly answered and was very helpful. You'll get what you put in to this class, but you can expect Prof. Bowman to help out in any way he can. Great class, expect to learn a lot!

I can not find any word to express my feelings ! There is not enough words in English either ! He is the best ! He is the best Professor i've ever had in my education path ! People think he is EASY ! Took both 1A & 1B online w connect (which is great). Liked both. Online midterms (3 chapters) can be tricky, but 3 hrs long, open-note & book (since it's online). Found in-person final to be easier than midterms. Allows 2 handwritten notecards (front and back) for the final. Your best bet if you don't like in-person classes.

This class does require you to do the weekly assignments, which are pretty easy to accomplish. There is an online discussion board, a virtual lecture worth points, and a homework assignment. Homework assignments are usually 7 questions, and half of them give you a walkthrough on how to do them. You will pass this class if you do the assignments!!!!

Professor Bowman was clear with the grading, dates, and etc. You need to be self-motivated to take ACCT online at Saddleback. Everything was online except the final. Weekly homework assignments are not the easiest, but important to finish. The points from the homework helped me pass both online ACCT classes.

This class was difficult, there's a lot of homework, the concepts are confusing, and I got all low scores on the four exams. However, he offers a ton of extra credit! I went from barely a B to an A! Also, I went to account tutoring (I highly recommend this) 2 times a week so he gave me extra points for that.

Bowman is one of the best teachers I've taken at Saddleback. He is able to explain everything in a way that makes sense without being horribly boring. He is very polite to all his students, and if someone has a question during his lecture he'll stop and discuss it. Note cards are also allowed on tests. With the extra credit I easily got over a 100.

I don't know about any of you reading this, but its my first time taking effort to write about a professor. The best Accounting professor there is in the world until today!! makes you LOVE, not like, LOVE accounting and playing with number. He has a great character, takes jokes and jokes with you. He also is a very kind man, etc etc.! TAKE HIM!!

I took the online Summer class (8 week). The first test was tough, but Professor Bowman was willing to answer questions on the tests and homework. He gets back to email usually within 24 hours. Tutoring available at the College. Extra credit was easy, and helped prepare me for the exams. Everything but the final was open book. Syllabus was clear.

Took Bowman for both Accounting 1A and 1B! Uses real life examples to help understand accounting better. Practice tests are really helpful, lots of extra credit and you can use a notecard (or 2). Great teacher- wants his students to learn and if you don't understand it he will focus on the subject till you do- just ask!

Bowman is a great professor. Really knows accounting and is funny! Grade is based off 4 tests and online homework. Tests can be hard. Work through the homework to study for the tests! Showing up to class everyday is critical. Lectures cover A LOT of information. One group presentation in front of the class at end of semester. Pretty easy though.

Bowman was great for an online teacher! The entire schedule was posted ahead of time and very clear. He also allows extra credit which saved my grade in addition to dropping the lowest online test score. The final is required in person on campus but he gives a few options for time/date. The class was hard but I still finished with a B!

I took professor Bowman for Acct1A and 1B. He was such a caring and entertaining professor. Lectures were clear and helpfull. He has his "tools" that will seriously help you everywhere else (if you are a business major). He gives practice tests and you get flashcards for tests and the final. HW is a must! Lots of online extra credit. Loved him.

Weekly homework on Connect. He sends reminders weekly. Best accounting professor. Three online exams based on homework. One on campus final exam. Lots of extra credit so I think this class is an easy A. six discussions very easy.

Take him! He explains so well and you do problems in class to help with the hw. Provides extra credit and it helps so much. Tests are medium level. U can use a note card on the test. For sure will pass the tests and class! Really nice professor ! Highly recommend!

Professor Bowman isn't a good professor... He Great Professor!!! (Show up+ do the homework+ do the study guide+ take notes+ do the practice exam and E.C. opportunities)high chance of doing well on tests and passing the class. Test make up roughly 60-65% of your grade. 1 group presentation worth 20 points, pretty easy. Makes lectures entertaining.

Took the online version of this course - syllabus is very straight forward. Everything is done on McGraw-Hill Connect. 12 homework modules, 12 Interactive Presentations, 12 discussion posts/responses, 4 exams (also administered through Connect), and 12 extra credit assignments. The final is much easier than the tests themselves. An easy A for sure.

Professor Bowman is such a smart man. Truly thankful for professors like him, he really loves what he is teaching and his little life examples throughout the lecture help so much to understand the material. Will be definitely taking 1B with him, so glad I picked Professor Bowman for Accounting. Take him and don't expect it to be easy.

Taken his 1A in class and now 1B online in the summer due to my traveling other wise I would of taken him in class again. He is such a great guy and you can see he is so passionable about what he is teaching. He also offer a 10% extra credit, so do it! helps out a lot in the end its a whole letter grade! Pros: Relates everything back to real life and is concise. He also gives A LOT of extra credit. DO IT ALL. It'll easily boost your grade by a letter grade. Cons: Doesn't work problems out completely like Meddling does. His study guide is close to the exam for the first 2 exams and then it doesn't match as much for the last 2. Study the slides.

I am still currently taking his class half way through the semester. Professor Bowman is probably the best teacher I have ever had in terms of teaching the curriculum. The curriculum for ACCT 1B is more difficult than 1A but Professor Bowman's lectures make the curriculum very understandable if you pay attention. Go to class and study test guides.

Very wholesome class. Would take again. He has a lot of experience in the industry and applies his knowledge to his teaching which I really enjoyed. Really nice guy and cares about his students. It's not hard to get an A, you just have to put in the work for it.

Professor Bowman had a different way of teaching when it comes to accounting. He has techniques to solve the accounting problem easier and compared to Prof. Medling who did things by the book or exactly. He was a funny professor and does his best to teach accounting in a fun way. If you put effort and study hard you will get an A.

I took Mr. Bowman's online 1A class and liked it so much that I took 1B online this semester. Class was a total of 590 points with 60 extra credit points available (over 10%). If you put in the work you should get a B at a minimum. Do alright on the final and you will get an A. (Final is in-class, but you get to bring 2 note cards to help you.

I took Accounting 1A and 1B with professor Bowman and I highly recommend him. Super caring, offers a lot of extra credit and is really passionate about the subject and gives out a ton of real life examples which makes his class more interesting.

I took Bowman for Accounting 1B. He is really caring and passionate about accounting, he will always relate everything to a real-life situation. A LOT of extra credit if you have a C by the end of the course and did all the extra credit and homework you can get up to an A.

This was my first accounting class and it definitely wasnt easy. Although, Professor Bowman helps his students understand the material and gives many opportunities to earn extra points! He gives you the answers to the test study guides the session before the test which isnt enough time to study the study guide. Other than that, i would take again

A professional accountant teaching an accounting class. Straightforward, thorough, solid teaching style. Throws in real life examples. Follows textbook and covers course material. Very organized. Keeps excellent control of classroom. No monkey business. Humorous at times. Great Hawaiian shirt wardrobe!!

I enjoyed Professor Bowman so much I'm taking his 1B course too. If you pay attention in class, do the homework, and look over the study guide then you'll do well on the tests. He also offers a ton of extra credit so take advantage of it!!

Genuine and easy to understand because he gives real life examples. He really cares about his students therefore, he gives A LOT of extra credit to pass his class.

Attend the lectures and do all the homework / extra credit and you will pass the class. (extra credit can boost your grade by 10%) The class is math intensive and does require the memorization of various accounting terms.

Took online over summer. 4 quizzes & 1 final. Quizzes are open note&book. Can use 2 notecards for final,which is easier than the quizzes. Extra credit of one whole letter grade (10%). But, the online class is very time consuming! Homework, which is really helpful to learn the material. 6 very short discussion posts. Practice quizzes for each quiz.

I've taken this professor twice now and he's the best!! Students respect and refer him to other incoming students for a reason. He's clear on what's expected extremely active and involved if you have any questions at all. Every single thing is posted online, he even emails us weekly reminders to help. He's kind and wants everyone to do well.

This ACCT 1B class was really hard, however I was already expecting it to be hard because ACCT 1A was intense as well. Professor Bowman gives his class the opportunity to earn a lot of extra credit points. If you work hard all semester and do the extra credit you will earn an A.

This class was a little hard by the 3/4 of the class but then at the end got easy again. Professor Bowman, gives a lot of extra credit. If you get a B or a C in this class is because you were too lazy.

Bowman is hands down the nicest professor ever! Although it is an online course he provides power point slides with notes for every chapter to help you understand the concept. Offers A LOT of extra credit so take advantage of it to pad your grade! He would also set up optional zoom meetings to go over concepts if students needed. Take his class!

Professor Bowman was very communicative in this online course. The requirements for success were incredibly clear, but I do wish I had him an in person teacher as I feel I would have gotten much more out of it. The few video conferences I attended he was very knowledgeable and patient and truly wanted to ensure everyone understood the material.

I took this class online. Just like acct 1A its all on connect and the learn smart is all extra credit! DO IT! I did terrible on the midterm and final and passed this course with a B. I took his online ACCT1B class. Every week there was a discussion post, homework (excel sheets), and lecture. There is 1 midterm & 1 final heavily weighted. There is a chance to do a total of 60 points extra credit! Do the extra credit if you want to pass!! He curves the grades at the end of the semester.

I did it online. We had an easy discussion and Connect homework every week. He doesn't really teach, you have to read the book to figure it out on your own. We have 4 Quizzes (50 questions) and a proctored midterm and final. You have to be self-sufficient to do well but overall he is easy!

Professor Bowman was an outstanding teacher. Super nice guy and actually cares about what he teaches. The lectures are taught perfectly, not a lot of homework and it is not too difficult. Gives lots of extra credit so it is very easy to receive an A as long as you go to class. Would highly recommend this teacher! 11/10

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU WANT TO PASS THIS CLASS. Hands down one of the best professors ever. As long as you do the work and do the practice tests you should be fine. He is the nicest professor and will help you pass this class. Put some effort in studying and reviewing before the test and you should be good. But overall great teacher!

Super easy class and Professor Bowman does a good job making sure that everyone understands the material.

No makeup in this class so DO NOT GET BEHIND! I had some trouble with this but the extra credit helped. Great professor, he was always helpful when I needed him. They have a great accounting team at Saddleback. Tough class but the textbook/company make the difference and is very helpful with tons of practice exercises.

Very straightforward accounting class with everything being online. 4 tests, connect homework and discussion boards plus plenty of extra credit opportunities. Would recommend taking Mr. Bowman.

Best professor. The whole class is open right away besides the 4 exams. Ended with 105% in the class. The extra credit connect assignments are very very generous!!! The homework is simple and still gave me 100% even though I got questions wrong. Really organized class. I recommend! No proctor on exams

Prof Bowman makes acct easy. I took the hybrid class and enjoyed it. Uses McGraw-Hill Connect. I took 1A at another University but was still able to jump into his class easily. There's so much extra credit, literally hundreds of points. 3 tests online, 1 in-person final. I will say he is a bit harsh in lectures, but he really is a nice guy.

Everything is on McGraw, including midterm and final. Which are 450 points. Overall class is easy, quite a few assignments per week and smart books took some time but was not too hard esp during summer.

Took hybrid class, great guy and is helpful. PLEASE just make sure to not get behind on HW/reading and do it little by little, use McGraw concept vids instead of reading the lame textbook if that helps, I could have gotten an A if I actually did all the online work. Offers generous EC, but don't miss deadlines. Tests are light if you get the gist.
