Mr.George is an awesome teacher! he makes computers fun! sometimes boring but you will have fun!

was a really good guy, funny as hell too. sometimes i wonder what hes talkin about but then i'm like eh whatever and i end up gettin good grades i dunno how but, i dont ask questions...MR GEORGE FOR PRESIDENT

I have him for HTML and even though I know this class like the back of my hand from having done HTML for 6 years already, he's a GREAT professor. He teaches very well and he's just got this genuine care for his students.

Has a lot of surface knowledge but can't answer the hard questions you might have for him.

Awesome teacher with a good personality. He writes programs during class on the overhead and asks the students questions and what to do as he does it. He even throws in a few jokes in class occasionally, it's a good time.

Right on brother, this guy is the man, and hilarious in a goofy way. Class is a breeze but the best thing about George is that he really cares and he understands those that don't care are just there for the requirement.

Took Professor George in summer of 2003. It was a 5 week course and he made it so easy to understand about how a computer works and what are its components. I got a B+ from him and would recommend taking him. He makes the class feel at ease when he's teaching and he's a real funny guy!!!!

I enjoyed his class. He is always wiling to help a student out and he understands you just need the class for a requirement. Any work you don't understand he will gladly help you

I loved this teacher. Got a A+ in the class. Great funny out going person. It was my first time with a college professor since I took this class as early out from High School and it was an awesome first experince of college.

Amazing guy. So friendly. One of the most helpful people I've ever met, let alone taken a class with. This guy is a great teacher and seems to just have fun with his job. This guy needs a raise and to train others cause he rules.

He is a very funny, quirky guy. His teaching is very clear and the assignments are easy as long as you do work during each class.

This guy is seriously awesome. He's genuine, quirky, and just makes you feel good. Computer Lit is so boring, but at the same time it's insanely easy. I dont think I got lower than a 95 on any assignment the entire semester. He's so willing to help and he pushes back due dates constantly. If you get it done before the semesters over, youre golden.

Mr. George was a very funny teacher. He is very willing to help you if needed. the only thing i did not like about his class was at the end, he piled on alot of work that needed to be done and expected you to do alot of at home work. otherwise, it was a pretty easygoing class.

HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE! His class is fairly easy and pretty straight forward. He has a tendency to take things a little too slow if you are anything other than a retard. Very easy going. Always willing to give you extra time for assignments. Do the work and the class should be easy.

Took this class cuz I needed an easy A, and that is pretty much what it was. A lot of assignments but he gives a lot of time to complete them in class. Not too much homework, the tests are easy. Hes a funny guy so that makes this lifeless subject a little better. Take him!

I loved this guy...he was so nice..so helpful and grades really fairly..all you have to do is show up..pay attention and do the work and your guaranteed an A..he is sooooo nice..take him..you won't be sorry.He's late for class most the time..but who cares..i'm not perfect are you.

He is the man! Class is funny and completely easy. He constantly cracks jokes and is aware that people arent paying attention to what he says. The homework is easy, tests may be a little tough but otherwise it was an excellent class and professor. He is very layed back and will help you any way he can! Nicest man in the world! Dynamite!!

What a fun class and we learned a lot! Fun, fast pace and he packs a lot of information into his classes but all is easy to understand and he presents otherwise boring material in a fun easy to access way. TAKE HIM!

Prof George is one of the nicest teachers I have had. He is extremely helpful and flexible. Always smiling and never raises his voice to anyone.

Best Prof on campus, really funny guy, uses some great examples.the best was following along with his code, while most prof at my school read off of boring slides, this guy forces students to do actual programming, which is handed at the end of the day for class participation, and if you get stuck, he comes over and helps you out, easy A class.

This is my second week in Prof. George 5 week summer class. So far I'm liking this class right now I have no complains. Just do the home work, answer some of the question he ask in class , and you will be just fine. This is not a easy A for me, because I know nothing about computers. I'm extremely horrible with computers.

He was OK. He relys to much on the computer labs to teach rather then actually teach. He is nice, and funny though. Very understanding and will work with you if you have a problem. For a mandatory class he is a good teacher.

Really boring class especially if you hate computers. He definitely knows how to teach but it is way too much work for such a basic class. All busy work. And he takes forever to grade things.

Prof. George is the best! He teaches everything at a simple enough level that anyone can understand and shows exactly what to do with all the work. Grades fairly, is alway smiling and joking around in class - definitely one of the best teachers in OCC.

If you go to class, smile, and do the work he assigns you will get a A. Pretty easy going professor just do the work. DYNOMITE!

Prof George is so friendly, A really great guy! Take him because he's a good professor. But be prepared to be bored out of your skull.

This professor is so nice, but there is SO much work to do. I fell behind, and wound up having to do 20 assignments in a weekend. DO NOT fall behind. Assignments due every other day... Easy course, just tedious work. Professor is very lenient on when work is submitted though and will work with you. Great guy.

He's the freaking man. He is GLAD TO HAVE YA! Honestly just a really chill dude and always willing to help. He makes really interestingfunny analogies. I'll be taking him for anything I can.

Very very nice guy. He is always willing to help, and usually knows what he's talking about. We had 2 written tests the whole year, as most of our grades were based on our programming projects. The only (and slightly prominent) gripe I had with him is that his lectures move very very slowly, especially for someone with prior programming experience.

Although he is a slow speaker, he is very detailed about his lectures, and is very knowledgeable! So long as you attempt to do your best, he'll do his hardest to help you pass the class. This program language is hard to follow most of the time and the book is an absolute joke, but George will work with you!!!

He will give you as much help possible when you ask for it. He is a very good programmer and explains well if you don't know it well. He is a reccomend.

There for you when needed and the tests are online at the campus. Its difficult if youbdontbpay attention or study. But he is there for you.

I took George for Programming 2 and I really enjoyed it. He is very funny and has provided some very good analogies and illustrations to facilitate the learning process. He really helped reinforce some concepts that I didn't quite understand. My only complaint is that he didn't touch on all the necessary material that I needed for Data Structures.

Took him for Computer Lit, honestly a great professor! Very informative & makes sure everyone Is on the same page. Does give homework often, but it's easy stuff. Funny & sweet man! You will need book, attendance is mandatory but he is flexible & will let you make up work. I got a 98 in his class!

Professor George is a great person and very funny! He gives lots of homework. He weighs projects and tests fairly heavily (40% each I think) If you fall behind or slack off, you WILL do poorly. Very intelligent and a good teacher, explains everything clearly and gives good examples. I'll be taking him as a professor whenever possible!

Professor Donald is hilarious and tries to get the class to interact with his sense of humor. He is very nice and cares about students understanding the assignments/and or tasks related to the subject. He has a natural passion for computer science but won't hold that against you if you are... eh, passionate about other subjects.

Professor George is the nicest professor Ive ever had. He genuinely cares about all of his students and will pause class to assist anyone who is struggling. Truly respect this man and would definitely take his class again.

tests are straightforward if you attend. always gives hw last class of the week, always happy to help a student, never in his office though. not good at replying to emails. other than that hes knowledgeable and gives good lectures. enthusiastic about what he teaches and makes it engaging. i'd take him again.

professor George is an amazing professor. he teaches amazing and tries to make the class exciting. he is always smiling and makes sure everyone didn't miss anything in class, that they are on the same pace. he is very considerate and would help you if you are having any trouble. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Prof. George is a great guy. Makes lectures very fun and concepts easy to understand. He is a bit disorganized and puts grades in twice a semester, but you still have a decent idea of your performance. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class. Also posts all of the class notes online, which is helpful when doing projects.

If you are a CS major take his class 100%. He's the funniest guy in the world and he really tries to make his students understand the lessons with his hilarious analogies, he's the best. His class is not a gimmie though, a decent amount of homework/4 tests as expected from a CS course. Go to class and pay attention and you'll be alright.

Great professor who explains step by step, would take any of his classes in the future.

Professor George keeps a course about assembly language as exciting as possible. He mixes the lectures with humor to try to make things more lively. Computer organization might be boring, but as Professor George would say, "That's just the way it is."

I took Professor George in Fall 2020 for a remote class during coronavirus. He's a great teacher, reachable, very funny, generous grader. The entire class was spent programming with no review of the text, and about half of the test questions were from the text, but he gave review sheets before the tests so it wasn't too bad. Very nice guy.

Professor George's class was the only class I looked forward to, that means a lot for an online class. He's a bright spirit, never negative and always smiling! Despite having to adjust to such an unexpected way of learning, he makes it much more tolerable than most! Before COVID computer labs were in person, but he helped everyone along the way. TY

Took him for Programming 1 & 2. He tries his best to make class interesting and throws in a few laughs. Not a very easy class and tests are pretty hard, so make sure you pay attention and study. Tends to wait until the end of the semester to assign most of the work, but Id still take him again because hes a great guy and listens to feedback well.

CS MAJORS KNOW THIS!!! he is the goat, he is so easy, has funny interesting lectures, stays after class to help you if you need it, will make funny jokes to help you understand the code, and just makes coding easier! you will be working with java which is nice too! TAKE HIM FOR AN EASY A !

Even if we have an opportunity not to come to class due to whatever reason, I always attend just to make myself happy. He makes everyone enjoy the class too much while also learning a lot. He also has very good humor. I recommend taking all the courses he teaches. You won't get bored. I promise. If you don't have a father, he is the ideal one. LOL

I loved Professor George! He was so funny! He really cares about his students. His voice is so calming that sometimes it made me tired. His class could be VERY work heavy...mainly at the end of the semester. But he is willing to answer any and all questions that he can. He answered quite a few questions over email for me and it was very helpful.

He definitely makes a more challenging subject fun! Lots of homework in the beginning, but they are very easy assignments. All tests are "hands-on" which I really enjoyed because I did not need to study that much. If you need to meet a technology requirement, I highly recommend Professor George!!

Professor George is an awesome guy. He is very funny, but you can tell he cares about his teachings. His intro to computers class is a very entry-level class, and the lectures give you all the information you need. His tests include homework beforehand that shows the jist of the assignment. Overall, it was a very enjoyable class.

He really tries to get people engaged

I had him for Unix and Programming I. He is a very good professor, always trying to get us engaged, having great material such as labs and small projects, and you can see he respects his students and cares about them actually learning the material. On top of that, he's very funny.

This was my first year at occ as a computer science major. Professor George is an amazing professor, he breaks down everything easy to understand with real life examples. The homework is not too bad, and the exams are easy if you study for them. He also provides a study guide and gives extra credit. He is an amazing professor!

A cool guy, he'll help if you ask for it, but his classes do NOT need to be an hour and 40 minutes, and he has stated that on multiple occasions. If you have taken a Java course before (which I have), it's fairly easy. Only like 4 tests total, 3 big projects, but if you actually show up to the classes, you should have a good understanding for both
