This is my last semester here at Baruch/Zicklin School of Business, and Prof. Groh is by far, the absolute best professor I ever had in the graduate program. He is concerned with students understanding the material and nothing else. Exams are problems similar to assigned homeworks, no tricks, ever.

Prof. Groh is a great guy and very knowledgeable in his field, understanding the real reason you’re pursuing an MBA. He is there to ensure you learn the material and he is not concerned with trying to overburden students with tricky exams or inundate students with assignments.

One of the best professors Baruch has to offer!!! Highly recommended...

Prof Groh is knowledgeable, easy to follow, and is respectful and fair. I felt that I learned a lot in his class. There was homework and exams, but they tested how much you learned, not how well he could trick you. Excellent Professor!

The person below obviously doesn't know how lucky she/he is to have this class with Prof. Groh. Although it is easy to doze off in class, prof. Groh expects you to be mature enough as an grad. student to pay attention in the class. Overall, he is very nice and you can learn a lot from him.

Disregard the town idiot who fails to see that Prof. Groh is one of the few professors who takes time to teach and not just test on what you don't know. This professor is very respectful and goes out of his way to make one learns and not memorizes. Any NORMAL student would appreciate being taught by this professor.

Prof. Groh is an excellent teacher. He makes the class interesting by discussing situations that he faces at work and how they deal with the subject. He is always well prepared and is always there to help a student in need despite his own busy schedule. I wish that we had more teachers like him at Baruch.

Prof. Groh is a very respectful person. His lecture is very interesting and he teaches the material clearly and thoroughly. His way of teaching is also very inspiring. I did learn a lot from him. I think Baruch needs more great professors like him!

Highly recommended! Unlike others who host the same class as i heard, he did not try to trick us in the exam. Decent to students. Prepared before classes and available after classes. Well paced in course framework. Could learn things without being overloaded. Highly recommended again.

Prof Groh is one of the best Baruch has to offer. You'd be hard pressed to find more knowledgeable, understanding or polite faculty. I know this b/c this is my last semester and I had my share of threatening, chest-pounding hooligans who pass for prof in other classes. Prof. Groh is the best and respectful Prof. I have had at baruch. He is always there and glad to provide help to his students. He makes the boring materials interesting and helps you understand the materials easily. He gave you homework assignment and exams which he thinks are the most important and useful. He never tests you with tricky problems.

Professor Groh is passionate about his teaching. You can tell that he really loves his work and cares for his students. His course is easy to understand and no tricks. A great professor who truly deserves recognition from all.

Professor Groh is a very detailed and Knowledgable instructor. He prepares weekly handouts and homework assignments. As he grades for both attendance and homework, it forces you to apply yourself in learning the material. In addition to having a PHD, he brings to the table a wealth of real world experience. One more note, he is a great person.

Great professor. Very respectful and helpful. For once Baruch picked a winner. It's about time. The material is presented in an easy fashion. Don't miss out.

This class includes topics which are NOT easy, however this prof. has been able to explain everything in a clear and concise fashion. supposedly the school is giving him a hard time for handing out grades inconsistent with their policy, but if you do not understand the subject entirely and get an A after the way he explains it, something is wrong.

Smart, clear, helpful, kind, very into subject. But I hate to say it, TOO easy. HW is mainly T/F lifted from the book, so you really don't need to read the chptrs. Tests were open book/notes. Difficult to NOT do well thus hard to keep focused. He is a great prof, eager to teach, but I'm concerned he'd be fired cause way too easy. He reads this site

Prof Groh is teaching this course to have you learn, not to make you sweat.The tests are straight forward, the hw's come from the chapters...why he needs to deal with the political crap from the administrators at Baruch is beyond me.They want him to make the class harder...why, they got their tuition money from us prior to taking this class...stupi

One of the best professors at Baruch. Open book exams. He's very helpful with homework, kind, considerate, intelligent and passionate about the subject. Great teacher. You gotta take his class! Textbook is helpful to complete homework. Otherwise his lecture notes are sufficient.

Tends to go long on detailed information and short on the big picture. Real world examples tend to be overly simplified. Explains difficult topics very well. He explains very clearly what you need to do to get a good grade. Excellent teacher. No case studies, presentations or long assignments.

Dr Groh is a kind and caring professor. One of the nicest profs at Baruch. If you put forth some effort, you will do fine.Open book exam helps but you must have an idea what you are doing 1st. You cant just figure it out during the test. Dr Groh is more than willing to help if you have trouble, but it is up to you to do the work and seek the help

Dr. Groh is a great person and easy grader. He wasn't very strict about attendance until one day everybody stopped coming to class. HW is super easy, midterms and final are a joke. He reviewed problems that will be on the test. If you study a bit, just a bit, you won't get 'em wrong. Lecture is boring though. A+ professor.

professor groh is a horrible professor. He can not make the class a bit interesting even if his life depended on it. His tests are easy but his lectures bored me to death.

D Groth was very fair and available to answer questions. Problems on exams were similar to the ones we did for homework. All in all, I would highly recommend.

I love Prof. Groh. He is the nicest man in the world. Unfortunatly student end up taking advantage of him, which i cant Stand! do the homework and you will get an A on your exams. thats it, show up and do the homework. i reccommend him to all of the honest, hard working business students at Baruch! Professor Groh is very nice. The class isn't the most interesting subject but he tries to make it that way. Gives a midterm and a final both of which are open book. Homework is given usually about every week and it must be handed in. It is not difficult and it will help prepare you for the exams. Take him!

Messed up my gpa this semester

Professor makes you understand the staff and not just memorize the book! Midterm and final are just like homework. If you do your homework you will be fine. Also tells you real life stories. Baruch need more professors like this! Thank you Dr. Groh!

Everybody repeat after me "Professor Donald Groh is the best!" He really is, very very smart, hard-working and polite person. He once even apologized to students whom he previously asked to stop talking (I remember myself thinking that those jerks didn't deserve his apology) The class is interestins and pretyy easy. Dr. Groh, you are special!

Whoever wrote that bad rating is a complete mess and should be discharged from college b/c u don't deserve to be here. Prof. Groh teaches and tests you in a most efficient way this subject can be thought. Mostly you don't need a book, if you do HW, it saves you on the tests. So what more do you want?

Professor Groh is soooo awesome! He is very smart, very nice, and he does care about the students and wants us to do good! Take him!

Lecture is kinda boring, but it's managament, not fun to begin with. Professor Groh is a very nice dude. Tries hard to help students understand the material. Take him if you can.

He knows his stuff, and is a good prof but, he had very little control of the class. Class room was a disruptive, and he did little to stop it. HWs are a MUST, do them, and do them on time. Overall a good prof.

I am taking Prof Groh's Mgt class now and really like it. He is very clear in explaining the material. While HW's are a must, they will help when the test comes around. Overall, very happy with the class. Thanks Prof Groh!

I am not agree with the rating below. Professor Groh is very clear when it comes to lectures. He tries hard to keep the class awake even through the material is tedious and may be not interesting quite often. To do well, you have to know basic statistics and math.

I do not know what are talking about here but Prof. Groh is knowledgeable. He explains the material very good. I do not have any difficulty understanding him.

Professor Groh is a very intelligent professor and is passionate about the subject. His homeworks are very helpful to succeed on the tests. His lectures are very dull but has some quick jokes and stories in the middle that are funny. His stories about the army are very interesting. He wants you to get an A. I would reccomend MGT 9700

Im straight A and senior so I dnt really care abt gpa anymore.Got A- cuz I copied most hw from others.Tests r like hw questions so ppl should score fine.Tip:do the hw well n u'll be fine.He teaches lots of stuff in slides but u r ONLY responsible for calculation questions in hw(not even MC's).So relax and don't feel overwhelmed.Boring prof but easy

This class and professor are very boring. However, his tests are not bad since they follow the hw questions. Got an A, if anything just study the hw and you are good to go. Attendance is mandatory with sign in sheet.

the class is extremely boring and most of the things he talks about in class arent in the tests. Make sure you do the hw and understand it because the long problems from the hw are going to be on the test. very nice professor, knowledgeable and helpful

Dr. Groh is an easy going respectable gentleman. Material not very exciting, hw easy to understand no stress. Understanding the hw is key to passing his exams. A must take!

Very good professor,and material is really boring. One midterm, many homework assignments, final exam. Lectures with slides. You don't have to buy a book if you can read it in the library to answer questions from the assignments.

His class is boring but if you do the homework you can pass the class easy. Just practice the homework and you'll do good. Lesson wise is very boring, if you want to learn don't take home but if you you just want to pass with a heavy load of other works take hime. 1 midterm 1 final exactly like the homework different numbers. He's a very sweet man, who really does enjoy what he lectures. The material itself is just devoid of anything interesting, but he tries his best to add some humor and I respect it. The homeworks are basically the exams, and if you get familiar with the topics on those, you'll do just fine.

The subject matter is very dull, but Groh is a great person. If he ends up teaching again, I'd recommend taking him, as the final was very easy (just like the homework), and he's fun to interact with. He truly cares about his students and wants everyone to take an interest in management . It's a boring class, but i'd recommend Groh.

He is a great Professor, who care for his students. Too bad Baruch is letting him go. By far he is the best Professor in Management department. His classes are interesting and easy. He is the nicest professor that I have ever taken. Its sad that Baruch is letting him go. Baruch needs more professors like him. I got a C on the midterm, but managed to get full score on the final and got an A-. The homework and attendance really helped my grade. Dry, boring material, tests straight from the homework, and quantitative problems.

It's an easy A class if you do your homework. class consists of some home works, Sam projects. 1 midterm and final. Try to do all home works cause exams are exactly like homework questions just with different numbers.
