Professor Hand has a wealth of experience in his field and everyone could learn a thing or two in his field. He is fair and very understanding yet challenging. Coming from a sub par school at NJCU, he is a true gem among the adjunct professors.

Professor Hand is an awesome instructor and i will recommend him to anybody who has the opportunity to take him. I am going to take him again because he is that good. Class sessions get right to the point and all the work is done hands on, if you have any questions pertaining to the work he will get back to you within a couple of hours. AWESOME

Great Professor! No Midterm or Final! However, you must do what he calls "Journals" Every week and they are due every friday by midnight online. For the most part the class is pretty easy with some challenges along the way. But this professor by all means is not tough at all.

Professor Hand teaches in such a modern way he really makes you understand what the topic is about and gets the whole class to participate. Professor Hand shows how learning can be fun and interesting still even in college.

Professor Hand is one of the best professors at NJCU. His lectures are to the point and easy to understand. If you do not understand certain material he will stay and explain if needed.

Professor Hand is a great professor! He does a solid job of giving students a strong understanding of the topic.

As long as you do the readings and take your time on the journal you will receive a deserving grade. He has zero tolerance to late work so get it done by 12:00am on Friday night or say good bye to 15%. All in all fun to have as a teacher and would take him again if I need more Computer classes.

Straight forward

As a prof he is pretty good and besides the power points the class in enjoyable because he makes funny comments. There are NO quizzes or tests but there are journals due every week.

Professor Hand loves what he teaches. Interesting powerpoints, no exams or papers. Just a journal every week but pay attention to detail and follow directions! He clearly explains what he wants. He also gives bonuses which are an easy extra 10 points. Highly recommend taking each of his classes!

Professor Hand is a great professor! He is very knowledge about the courses he teaches. He is very thorough with his grading and informs you concerning why you got an answer wrong. The class is not difficult, one only has to apply him or herself and do the weekly journals, participate in class, and be present for all classes. I recommend to anyone.

Homework assignments are easy and clear cut. You get credit for each time you come to class so if you don't show up to a single class, don't expect to pass. Weekly journals are due to make sure you're doing the reading. One great thing is there are no textbooks. He uses actual books which is more realistic to real-life learning.

First semester at NJCU and I must say that Professor Hand is by far my favorite professor. No exams or essays but you will receive Journals to make sure you're doing the reading and they make up your passing grade. its not hard, the material he makes us read helps us learn. His lecturers are awesome. Funny guy and fun class. Everyone participates!

Professor Hand was a very well-educated professor with a phenominal background in the field that he teaches. His classes are very uniform, so you know just what to expect each week and although there are weekly assigments, they are not demanding, and there are no exams. Professor Hand has a traditional Texas sense of humor that is very funny. I would suggest that anyone who has to take SECU 222, take it with Professor Hand.

Professor Hand is one of the best professors at NJCU. His whole class is out of 190 points (130 for journals and 60 for participation). The journals and participation are the whole class. No tests, papers, or anything else. If you need this course, TAKE HIM

Prof Hand is a excellent teacher. He does not give tests however you must complete a weekly journal. Prof Hand is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Take this class if you want to learn and have fun at the same time. I wish he taught more classes.

As long as you show up and do the journals that's all you need to pass. Lectures are cool. Did enjoy coming. Makes a point to learn who you are so I wouldn't recommend not coming to class.

One of the best processors at NJCU. Lectures aren't long, but have a quality mix of comedy, inspiration, and critical thinking. 13 journals, no midterm, no final, but still learned more than in most of my classes. Would definitely take again.

One of the best professor at NJCU. He injects a bit of humor in his classes which make them fun and not boring. I highly recommend this professor to any one computer security.

There was an easy amount of homework to be completed weekly. As long as everything was read, the homework was always correct. Constantly gave extra credit. No tests, only grade is homework assignments and class participation. Calls on students to read parts of PowerPoint's that he explains throughout class.

Great Teacher, he helped me out so much this semester. I had a lot of other problems with my other classes and his class made it so much easier it was a great class learned a lot very fair teacher.

Professor Hand is a great and funny professor. There is no midterm and final. Gives out extra credit assignments. However, gives you a lot of pages to read and if you do not read you will fail his class. Textbook use is MUST.

Prof. Hand gives clear grading criteria when class begins and extra credit. He's fair, has cool lectures/power points, keeps class interesting and relevant to computer security, and really knows his stuff if you have any qs. outside of what he teaches. Show up, do the journals, and participate and you'll get an A.

Great Professor

Just register for his class! Honestly, there is absolutely nothing to loose. Great GPA booster as long as you do your work and attend class. One of the BEST professors at NJCU and grateful I had him. Hand's a great guy. I'm sure if someone had trouble understanding his course he'll go out of his way to help that person out the best way possible.

The class itself is simple enough, so long one reads the materials. The Professor is also a fair man when it comes to grades, just don't show up late. Otherwise I would recommend this class and his previous computer security class.

Donald Hand is the best professor at NJCU. He is the kind of guy whom I would like to sit down with, while drinking scotch reminiscing about life. Don is a great man and role model for his students, always answering every question promptly in times of need. I am glad that I decided to take a class with Don.
