Very very nice teacher. I learned a lot from his course. As long as you do the work, he will give you the reasonable mark for your work done. Take his classes. No finals but there's just about a quiz every week.

He's a great instructor, he's funny and easy going and he makes class interesting. His tests are a little tough sometimes, but everything else is great. Read over the notes and the text and you'll do awesome in this class.

Fun class, lectures can be very fun at times and at times very boring as well. To do well on tests, you must read the book and ESPECIALLY read the study guide. Easy going,nice guy who is always willing to help and has a different teaching style. If you're looking for a good mark, take it with him!

He is a good teacher with interseting lectures, notes not clear and tests not what he talk about in class. But read the study guide and do the mc on the net and u'll get a good mark. Also no final exam and tests after each chapter one final paper done in groups so hes not hard just prepared.....be ready to read and do ur work and you'll do good! :)

Meen is unreal. Such a relaxed class which is nice. You can ace the course by basically reading the text book. And hes always there to help you incase you need it. Very leaneant with assignments and quizes.

I took his class in NW, liked him so much that I travelled to COQ to take the next level with him the next semester. His lextures overview the chapter content so it's helpful to read them first (I never did) and ask questions during classes - the 9 m/c chapter quizzes can be a little tricky if you don't read. Funny, helpful, all around good guy.

Dr meen is easily the one best, most approachable and insightful professors ive ever had. Very flexible, and his lectures are actually pretty interesting, even if the material itself can get weary. Tests are easy and he helps you out alot. Take his course if have the chance, you wont regret it.

Dr. Meen is a sincere guy! He makes the class interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory as long as you read the text book, but I loved his lectures so much that I felt bad whenever I skipped. The research paper was a bit tedious, but overall this class was awesome.

One of the best professor I've had! I love the way he convey the class lectures to real life situations which sometimes funny that will make it memorable and understandable! The course is very interesting, you will learn a lot! Just understand the chapter topics and I'm sure you'll do good.

This is one of the best profs i have had at this school! Very nice and helpful. Makes every class fun to attend and makes you interested in what is being taught. Only has quizzes and if you study then you should do well and then you have 3 essay type projects. Because of him i want to continue in psychology ....HE'S THE BEST!!

Don has a great sense of humor, tries to make class enjoyable. test are usually m/c unless theres a diagram or something. test are based on one chapter. best way to study is to go over notes you take in his class and do the m/c practice in the study guide. 3 assignments, 3 labs, and 40m/c for the final. totally recommend!! interesting course & easy

He's an awesome instructor, who makes the content incredibly fun and interesting! Quiz set up is great, with one quiz at the end of each chapter (two quizzes for the final), making the content easier to work thorugh. Quizzes are mostly multiple choice, save some longer things in the first few, and are generally similar to those in the study guide

easy course, a good prof, definitely a gpa booster. there are high potential for bonus percentage, but with easy quizzes that worth 7.5% each you really don't need any. final was 3 regular quizzes combined. all quizzes are mc questions and free marks available for lab completion, not to mention easy projects. not the best student, but got an A+

Great prof if you like interactive lectures. Friendly, knows your name, jokes around. Rips on you if you miss class. Unorthodox evaluation method- weekly chapter quizzes instead of midterm (final is worth 2 quizzes). NICE. Some strange(but simple) projects. Definitely recommended.

I had Dr. Meen for Psych 2341 and he is great! He's SO friendly and ALWAYS in a good mood! He is a clinical psychologist so he applies course concepts to his experiences which makes it interesting. He tells you exactly what he expects from you on the exam and tells you which stuff in the text is not important. Overall great teacher! Take his class!

Third time I've had Dr. Meen, and I honestly really only took the course because he taught it. AWESOME instructor! End of chapter quizzes (mostly multiple choice with the occasional longer answer question at the end) make things easier to study for. The paper in this course was a bit long, but there was certainly content (which he gives) to fill it

Excellent Prof. Chapter quizzes make up two thirds of the grade and are mostly m/c. Very positive interesting and helpful. His name should be Dr. Nice. Register as early as you can (his classes fill up).

A great teacher who really knows his subject and transfers his love of it into his teaching style. Chapter quizzes are easy to study for and makes learning a ton easier. An A+ teacher worthy of taking any class he teaches.

Dr. Meen is a nice and caring professor. His lectures are interesting and you learn a lot so do not skip his class! I took three courses with him. I really enjoyed 1100 and 1200. 2341 was a challenge. His lectures are more theoretical and his multiple choice exam questions were difficult.

Very nice guy, good speaker, and very clear with his lectures. There's a lot of material to cover and so he goes kinda fast, but will go back to a slide if you need it. Tells you written test questions in advance. I would recommend him 100%

Dr. Meen is so wonderful! This class was great and he's such a wonderful instructor. 6 mini quizzes (fairly straightforward) and a 20 page paper that he supplies content for. He's a delightful person and was always cheerful. Definitely recommend him!

Dr. Meen is a very good teacher. He has a great sense of humour and teaches the material in a way you can understand it. The textbook might be helpful, but I did not bother with it. I found the most effective learning method to be attending his class. One group paper, one final exam, and about 5-6 multiple choice quizzes make up your grade.

Doctor Meen had great stories, I enjoyed the class. Assignments consisted of quizzes (7) were pretty straight forward & a paper (20 pages) there wasn't a lot of direction about the paper, sources were provided - it was pretty dry in my opinion.

Dr. Meen is great! Great atmosphere in his classroom, always trying to make stale bits as exciting as possible (which can be pretty hard!) The class consists of 3 assignments, about 8 quizzes but no final. I honestly didn't bother with the textbook, we rarely used it and when we did in class (VERY RARELY) I would just look at an online version.

Dr. Meen is a really good prof. He looks very formal at first, but he is actually the total opposite of his surname! Take this class. I bet you won't ever regret it.

Dr. Meen is a great prof with a great sense of humour. I took both PSYC 1100 and 1200 with him and I just wish I could take more upper level classes with him! Be sure to attend class and write down whatever he has to say. And make sure to achieve understanding and not memorization for his quizzes. Highly recommend!

Dr. Meen has been by far the best teacher I'be ever had. He's caring and will make sure to help If you need to. He is also a really funny guy. Attendance is mandatory.

here's the breakdown. He makes the class enjoyable as he incorporates humour into lectures. He counts attendance for participation marks. Quizzes are easy if you study. You can draw some helpful information for quizzes from class so I suggest showing up. No mid-term but there is a major article review project/write up.

An amazing prof who truly cares about his students. A lot of people say he is an easy professor but the reason for this is that he truly makes the material easy to understand with great and relatable lectures, as well as notes. You can do perfectly fine in the class without a textbook but it will help.

10/10 would take again, amazing prof as he is so funny and nice. Notes are power point slides and then quizzes for the chapter that are multiple choice. Only have one major paper and labs are interesting. Attendance is taken time to time but notes are important. Awesome prof!

Dr. Meen is hands down one of my favourite professors at this school. He cares for his students and understands the stress we go through; because of this, he creates an enjoyable environment for everyone. He makes every class very interesting with a number of videos and fun examples. Make sure to take notes! Textbook is not really needed!

Donald Meen is one of the most passionate, experienced professors I've had. He worked as a clinical psychologists for most of his career, and has countless stories that relate to the course material. Exams are based upon slideshows in class, and you only need the textbook if you want a deeper learning experience.

Dr. Meen has a passion for psychology with many years in the field. He has a great sense of humour. There are no tests/exams, just quizzes which makes things less stressful. His slides/study guides are sometimes confusing, but he will answer any questions during his office hours. This class is super easy as long as you study and put in some work.

He is super sweet and helpful when you have questions. He gives you assignments that are actually helpful!!! And he has super reasonable deadlines. Just make sure you also read the textbook to understand the concepts and you'll pass. He is super passionate, I'm sad I couldn't enjoy his lectures in person.

It has been quite sometime that I have graduated from university and he is one of the professors that has left a positive impression on my educational experience. He does a good job teaching us, getting to know his students and providing real world examples to support our learning.

If you want to get good grades take him. No cumulative final exam. His online lectures were very easy going and you can also send him the assignments before submitting the final for feedback. Overall, worth taking course with him.

Dr. Meen is very kind, hilarious, & accommodating. He is clear on what he wants from the class, especially on the paper. He made sure we understood the concepts, responds to emails quickly & is always available outside of class. He has student study guides & lecture notes! Don't buy the text as the quizzes (which were easy) go by his notes only.

This course made me reflect on myself and see others' abnormal behaviours without judgment, but from a clinical perspective. The professor is truly an angel, yet the class is heavy—it's the core of psychology. Be ready for many written assignments, a term paper, and 6 exams divided into 5 sessions. Challenging but worth it!
