Awful teacher!!! Unless you have a tutor or can teach yourself get out of this class. Test and quizzes do not match homework and test and quizzes, although multiple choice, have so many trick questions, the slightest word makes it wrong. Text book is also very confusing especially since there is no instruction!!
He is a terrible teacher. The powerpoints and synchrosummaries are just from the book. You don't even need to attend class because you can just read the book. You will have to teach yourself anyways.
You have to teach yourself everything. Lots of time consuming homework and quizzes. Im a straight A student and studied for about 6 hours and still failed the first test. He doesnt teach the material in a way it will be presented on the test. Another AC teacher makes the tests so they follow her teaching format. He is not helpful with HW at all.
Poor Professor Minyard... He really is a nice guy but this class just sucks. As others have said, the tests are a terrible representation of the material. Homework problems and quizzes do little to no good in preparing you and it takes FOREVER to study for the exams. Easily my least favorite class I have ever taken.
You are probably better off taking the class with the professor that makes the test. Dr. Minyard has not control over the test, homework, or quizzes.
Mr. Minyard is a nice guy and an ok teacher, but should take class with Mrs. Mckinley because she makes tests and the quizzes.
He is a nice guy. But like others have stated He IS NOT in control of the quizzes or HW. The material covered in class was not represented by what was on the test. He reiterates verbatim exactly what is in the book. Class was a complete waste of time. Good luck actually passing the tests- he wont cover most of the material.
Dr. Minyard was a great professor. He knew his material and was extremely smart. I enjoyed his class, I enjoyed having him teach me. Very manageable to do well, just read your material. If you ask Dr. Minyard for help he is more than willing to give assistance.
Terrible teacher.
He is a HORRIBLE teacher. Honestly, he doesn't even teach. He just goes over the slides. You basically have to teach yourself from reading the book. Tests are HARD. Please, do not take him. You will fail.
AWFUL! good luck passing his tests. they are not reflective of the homework or problems gone over in class. i cannot be more happy to be out of his class
EXTREMELY BORING! Very repetitive. Just reads from the slides. I never went to class because you're better off teaching yourself from the book. This is a hard class in general so make sure to get a really good professor.
If you go to class and pay attention this class is a breeze. He really cares about getting students to understand the material. Accounting itself is a hard class so attending class is necessary
This is a hard class, not because of who is teaching it but because of the material. He does examples from the book and goes through the powerpoints thoroughly. Not a bad teacher at all, but you have to go to class to understand the material, hands down.
Worst teacher in the U of A. Complained to the accounting department and they told me i was just upset because i was failing but actually had an A. DO NOT TAKE HIM OR ANY OTHER ACCOUNTING
He is a very tough teacher, but if you stick with the class he seems to ease up a bit. He knows a ton about accounting but is not very helpful to students and can be a little rude. READ THE BOOK it will help! Take someone else if you can, but it is not the end of the world if you get him. He'll teach you how to work hard.
Mineyard is not that bad! His tests are really hard but there are projects and in class participation (I did not talk in class once but sill got full credit) that help cushion your grade. Attendance is not required but he learns student faces and names so I have a feeling he knows who goes and who doesn't. Just stick it out and he will help you out
This material for this class is very tough. Dr. Minyard is not the only reason this class is bad. By the 3rd class period he already knows who every student is. His tests are the toughest i've seen so far. If youre not willing to spend a TON of time studying then you will struggle. But in the end he's a good guy to have on your side in the future.
WORST TEACHER EVER. My averages for the quizes in lab and my homework online did not match my test average because his tests are horrible. Extremely hard and 90 percent trick questions. DO NOT TAKE HIM.
Accounting is difficult. I took this course online and I take the same exams that on campus students take. I've never heard a lecture from him, I learned everything on my own. It's a tough class, but I studied HARD. If you try hard and put in a lot of effort, you'll be successful. Yes, exams are tricky so be careful.
Dr. Minyard is a very nice teacher. His tests and projects are very fair, and he will go above and beyond to help his students. I would recommend him as a teacher!
Minyard is the only instructor that teaches AC210 for Distance Education Students at UA. Not willing t help...he says his syllabus tells you everything you need to know. This is my last hurdle before upper division and have no idea how I'm going to take this class and pass it...Just finished with a D+ after hours spent each wk on this class.
Just awful, I read, studied the book, and "study guide" to end up not passing. I spent majority of my summer on this class doing homework, learnsmart, exams, and quizzes. The exams were difficult. If you need this class credit over the summer i recommend taking it anywhere but from him. This was my last class before going to upper division .
If you do your homework read the book and do practice questions you''ll do OK. Tests are tough and require you to know the material extremely well. This class isn''t 4 credits for nothing. For most it takes a lot of time and devotion. Welcome to business school.
Dr. Minyard is probably the smartest professor I have ever met. He gets a lot of grief from students because people are not willing to work as hard he would like for them to. If you actually get to know him, you will see how much he cares about the success of his students. Great man.
All of the people who rate him so poorly are either not very good at accounting or lack work ethic, IMO. Dr. Minyard is a great professor, and you can learn so much from him if you actually try.
Professor Minyard is a no nonsense type of teacher. A throwback to the days where you had to earn every point of your grade, and when the dust had settled, you were better because of it. I took this course online. His instructions were very clear and I would gladly take him again.
His lesson plans and deadlines are straightforward, and he supplies review materials, summaries, and problem solutions for each chapter and exam. His grading seems a little confusing because of built-in curves and HEAVILY-weighted exams, but if you do well on the online homeworks and quizzes then you'll have no problem getting an A in the class.
Hes not understanding at all
Not helpful and no extra credit!!!
I took AC 210 by distance. He lays out his expectations very well in his syllabus, but there are no lectures. You are on your own with the learn smart, quizzes, homework, and tests. Tests are weighted very heavy (75% of your grade) You must read the book, work the practice problems and do all the connect assignments to do well
Very clear on his expectations. Just be an adult and you will do fine. Tests are a large part of the grade. There is built in extra credit as part of assignments and quizzes. Do not expect any give from this professor! Do what you are assigned and you will be fine.
I took this class as a distance student. He's very clear that he expects you to teach yourself if you're an online student. The good news is that the assignments and LearnSmart activities on the publisher's website make teaching yourself fairly easy. If you want a professor that is involved in the class, take someone else.
Prof Minyard is an old dog. He won't budge for anything. For example, there was no scratch paper policy stated on syllabus, but would not allow it by stating that you have extra time in the test. Well, you are not testing on students for math skills, you are testing on the accounting skills. Unecessarily making calculations difficult!!!
He may be talented enough to become a professor, but he is not in charge of AC 210 class in general. The Accounting department set a specific policy for students and he won't allow distance online students to have a scratch paper during the test. There are only 25 questions and most of them are complex critical thinking problems. .
WORST TEACHER EVER!!! Homework are never due at the same time, which is totally different from syllabus!!!
Class: Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives us quizzes in class without telling us in advance. In my opinion, ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY! Class is tough. I have to study by myself. He gives us practice problems without answers which he will work on in class. His handwriting looks like abstract paintings, I can figure out even though I sit front.
His handwriting looks like abstract paintings, I can't figure out even though I sit front. Homework: It says homework due at noon every T&TH on syllabus. But he "loves" changing due time without noticing us in advance. Homework is tough too. But the good news is you can do multiple times.
Exams: His exam is tougher than Rich Houston's. He gives us 75min to complete 20 or 21 multiple choice and 3 big work-out problems. REALLY? He does not want to tell us average grade which is every important to me to decide whether drop his class or not. As I know, many students got 20, 30, 40 out of 100 in exam 1. He did't curve the grade. REALLY?
One of the worst professors at the University of Alabama!!! His tests are so hard. And tests on subject matter he doesn't teach. He doesn't give practice problem answers, meanwhile, his handwriting looks like abstract paintings, I can't figure out even though I ask my classmate, they can't figure out either. Both of us sit front!!!!
Worst teacher in UA! Do not take him, you won't pass!!!
I am a transfer student, to be honest, this is the worst teacher I've ever meet in both universities. You won't pass his class with a good grade. I tried really hard and got C-, 1/3of the class dropped, 1/3 of the class failed, only 1/3 of the class passed. But like me, even though I passed, I got a really bad grade that hurt my GPA.
This class is absolutely the worst class I have taken at UA. The proctored tests are set at the hardest level and the course work does very little to prepare you for the exams. I have learned a lot about accounting, but you can not make it through this class with a good grade. The absolutely killed my GPA, only B I have ever gotten.
Find someone else to take. The online lectures and quizzes do not even reflect onto the tests. You'll have to teach yourself if you want to even pass.
This is a very difficult class regardless of who is teaching it. That being said he also expects you to be an adult and review the material before class. Going to class is not mandatory but you will fail if you do not go. He does not curve tests whatsoever and offers no extra credit. Go to class and stay on top of the homework and you'll be fine.
Minyard gets a bad rep. He really is a good teacher. However, he expects you to put in effort outside of the class time given. Reading the textbook is essential to doing well on the tests. The class is hard regardless of the professor. I'd take Minyard again.
Minyard is a solid teacher. He knows his stuff and was always available for questions for me via email at several times of day. He does make you work for it though. Tests are 75% of grade, so study hard. No EC or curve though. Be an adult - do the work and you'll do fine. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand, look elsewhere.
This class was horrible. Make sure you complete the HW and get an A nothing less. He only counts the HW assignments you pass. Tests are a major portion of your grade. 75%. There are no pre-recorded lectures and you are completely on your own for teaching and understanding. No make ups or extra credit for any reason. DO NOT miss due dates. Not one!
Very minimal help outside of class. Not very considerate of students. He is pretty much a "his way or the highway" kind of guy.
The most horrific class and instructor I have EVER encountered! He is not helpful or caring at all! This will be my 3rd and final attempt at to pass his class! I am so disgusted that there are no other instructors available to teach Accounting online. The tests are critical although they are only 25 questions and worded extremely challenging!
Online class... lots of reading and homework. If you actually do the reading and homework, you'll do fine. Tests were straight from the end of chapter quizzes. He'll even give you sample questions before the exams that are spot on as to what is on the exam. If you don't keep up with the homework, you will not do well.
I took the online class as my first accounting course. Dr. Minyard was very responsive when I asked him questions about applying the concepts to real-world situations. Homework and exams were taken straight out of the book. Exams needed to be proctored since I was an online student.
You have to put in work if you want to do well, but that should be expected. Tests are easy if you actually read the textbook and practice the problems like he suggests in the syllabus. He has very clear grading policies laid out so you know exactly what is expected of you. As long as you put in effort and act like an adult it's not a hard class.
Terrible. Horrible. Ridiculously, Terribly horrible class and instructor. Please save yourself and take this class as a transient student at another university if required.
Accounting is not the most exciting subject to me and it was hard to get into it with just an e-book and the publisher's exercises. That's all you get. There's no lectures. I can't say what kind teacher Minyard is. I feel like I taught myself. His grading criteria is straight forward. Do the homework! Test are fine if you read and do the homework.
Don't expect the teacher to actually teach anything. You learn through McGraw Hill . Grading criteria too strict with the amount of information you have to learn and remember. Quizzes are hard. Tests are harder, and there are no guides for studying. Take this class when you have a free schedule to devote to it.
Minyard doesn't teach you a single thing. Everything is learned through McGraw-Hill. Tests are absurdly difficult, and not even remotely similar to the homework or book problems. 80%(!) of the grade in this "class" is from tests. The fact that you have to pay full tuition price for AC351 is a travesty.
Won't help you out, even if you reach out to him. Very difficult class. Would not reccomend taking.
Dr. Minyard's class is a NO GO. In order to receive an A you must participate through reading the material before class, good attendance, and sucking up to the professor. VERY easy to get a B, but hard to get an A based on his subjective participation grade. Very poor lecturer and class over all. (This is an MBA class)
He is not a teacher - he lets the textbook company teach you - he is not approachable. When a question is asked he responds in a way that makes you wish you would not have even of asked the question - not an uplifting person but a degrading feedback method.
Do whatever you can to not take Minyard for 361 (or any class ever). He is dry, awkward, and he basically just reads the textbook to you in class as his lecture. You have quizzes and long homework problems for each chapter. Cost Accounting should not be a difficult class, but he makes it about as hard as can be. Take anyone else.
I couldn't fit accounting in person into my schedule this last semester, so I decided to ignore about 90% of reviews on here and give Minyard the benefit of the doubt. I was so, so, so wrong. The only reason I managed to salvage a D is because a friend lent me his notes, which only slightly corresponded to what I was expected to know for this class
He is the only professor who is teaching AC-351, and it is almost unethical that you are not giving another choice for a professor. He does not teach you a single thing, but rather he expects you to learn everything on your own from the textbook without any help or reference from him. Even if you contact him, he will not be helpful at all.
His classes literally don't include a professor. I'm having a tough time wrapping my head around what he actually does for this class, because anyone can just tell their students to read, and not help them or do the bare minimum for teaching. I love UA but I am very disappointed that they are allowing Minyard to continue to teach accounting.
Great guy really funny. Easy class
Minyard is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He doesnt care, he doesnt help, and it is almost as if he tricks you just to prove how smart he is. I went to him multiple times for help and was never in his office for more than 2 minutes because his responses were always "its in the book". Absolute disgrace to this university & accounting dpt
Where do I even start? This guys tests are literally impossible I made 100s on all of my work in his class and felt as if I really understood the content but when the tests came none of it was anything that I had seen before On top of that he tries to trick you on the questions. He WILL NOT help you. He doesn't teach he just says "its in the book"
Hard class. Exams worth 75% of grade. Materials available for online class were terrible. Often had to look other places to figure out how to do certain problems.
Not sure how he has such a low rating. He was always so kind in class and after I didn't do that well on the first test he pulled me aside and asked how he could help me do better in his class. Also, after we had to switch to online classes after spring break, instead of making us take a test online he decided to give us all 100s.
This was an online class, and as with most distance learning classes, professors seems to have the option to help their students succeed or tell them to read the online textbooks and find other ways to learn concepts that could be helped by a professor. While Professor Minyard might be better in person, his online teaching was not my favorite.
The grading criteria is set up to put the person taking the course at a big disadvantage. If you do not do well on every test and the final, you will not pass this course. It involved a lot of reading and ultimately hoping you retain it as the material on the tests are not related to your homework, quizzes, or study guides. I would not recommend.
I took AC 210 as a summer class despite warnings from my advisor and peers. This is a tough class where you get NO instruction. His tests are very hard, in my section the average test grade was a D or F, nobody made A's, AT ALL. His homework and quizzes are very fair, but every test is a curveball with obscure concept questions that you won't know.
DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY IF YOU CAN HELP IT. If you want a class taught by those stupid McGraw-Hill videos, then you might like this class. I was forced to take this guy twice due to the fact he is the only online option and he sucked both times. He will not help you if you email him, you will get a short sarcastic response. NO CONNECTION TO HIS CLASS
The guy does not know how to work technology and will not let you have any sort of grace.
BEWARE this professor. The entirety of the class is taught by McGraw hill. He does not interact with the class at all except sending out the occasional sarcastic email to tell us an exam is coming up and to scold students that are having trouble with distant online learning. He cares more about having power over students than he does helping them.
You teach yourself everything. There are NO lecture videos, so you can read the text book or find outside resources. Also, a little rude, replies to emails with 'no flexibility' or 'read the syllabus' which means he is consistent and leaves it up to you, but he is a cold, unhelpful man.
I took his class twice. And failed. Twice. He doesn't teach anything. He just gives you the material to teach yourself. The tests are nearly impossible to get an A on. The only way to succeed in this class is if you dedicate every hour in the day to studying. If you value your wellbeing, don't take this man's class.
Not only does this man manage to be the most unpleasant and unhelpful professor I have ever had the misfortune of "teaching me" but he is also extremely disrespectful. This is an online class so it is expected to be difficult but the homeworks, quizzes, and 'study guides' (w/ many errors) do not prepare you for the test. Never take this guy.
For online students, he doesn't teach. You have the textbook & that's it. No lecture videos.
I was fully aware going into this course that it was going to be tough, given that it is an upper division accounting class. However, this class effectively has no professor. This class was online, and Mr. Minyard did not post any original material at all. The McGraw Hill textbook will teach you AC351. Tests are nothing like the homework or quizzes
Professor Minyard is not as bad as what others are saying. He is an old school professor, meaning the grade you get is the one that you earned. Unlike most professors these days, class participation will not get you an A. However, if you are willing to put in the work, you can earn an A. Me? I was lazy and earned a C. Good luck.
DO NOT TAKE DR MINYARD. Very unapproachable. He says to work probs in back of chapter and gives a review, but those do not reflect the tests at all. I studied 60+ hours for each test, did all work, never made better than an 80 on all tests. Need 1 more ac class, but to avoid taking him, I took a summer class with a different professor.
If you take this man over the summer good luck. He's on tenure so he legit doesn't care. You'll never get a chance to speak to him since he doesn't reply to emails. All textbook, no lectures, no extra work, nothing. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!! Save yourself the tears and take it somewhere else...
Worst professor at UA. I have failed every one of his tests while studying about over 16 hours a week. Tests ARE NOTHING like the textbook or lectures. Barely responds to emails. Tests are like 75% of your grade and he wont curve it or give out any extra credit. Tests are difficult and have nothing to do with any of the materials he gives you.
very difficult to communicate with. seems to know that this class is supposed to be difficult and makes it even harder. fully online class over the summer. teach yourself. not personable and will only point you to the syllabus.
Prof. Minyard is by far the worst professor I have ever encountered in my life. He does not teach at all. The tests are nothing like the homework or quizzes. He doesn't give any pointers on what to study for for the test. And when you email him about anything, he always reply, "its in the syllabus" or "its in the book". You have to teach yourself.
This class is awful. The book, homework and quizzes are absolutely useless when the test comes around. The man hates teaching and I have to assumed tenured bc this class is impossible to get a grasp of.
The Exams are very difficult. The homework does not seem to set up for success in the exams at all. All exam grades equal 70% of your grade- dont take this class if you can avoid it. Enroll in another school for this one class, if you dont, youll regret it. When I say run, run as far away as possible.
Dr. Minyard is the goat. Love him, he's so great. Such a cute and nice man
AC 210 is hard, but professor minyard made it 10x harder. Doesn't matter how you do on the homework because he will cap your points, and exams are worth more than half your grade. never saw the mans face or heard his voice, I had to completely teach myself. Uses a ridiculous formula to calculate grades that set you up for failure.
The class is essentially based on McGraw Hill. Class examples help but for the most part you just need to watch the narrated PowerPoint and read the book. Going to class was essentially useless. The class was not especially hard but was definitely something where you needed to teach yourself. I would recommend taking a different professor.
A terrible professor. He does not teach, he leaves it up to you to teach yourself. He is vague when answering questions and will immediately blame the class for a poor test average.
Not understanding of his students. When I told him I was feeling unwell he told me that if I did not take the final exam in-person that I would not receive credit (everyone else in the class took the exam online), so I took the exam in-person since I had no other option. After the exam my doctor called to tell me I tested positive for Covid.
Took this professors class during the summer, and had to pay $19 for each exam to use examity (live proctor). You teach yourself. He has book sense for accounting, but not professional accounting experience. No formulas are allowed on exams and exams make up over half of your grade. Would recommend avoiding this professor at all costs.
Took AC 351 this fall with Professor Minyard. It is by far one of the worst classes I've taken in my 4 years here. Each test taken requires a $20 fee, tests have little to no homework material, extremely convoluted grading and scaling system, no extra credit, and no study guides. AC351 is hard enough already, avoid Minyard at ALL COSTS!!
Literally the worst professor in history. The grading scale he uses is impossible to understand, the tests are nothing like the homework or practice, all the work was through the book, & he reached out only 2x the whole course. I'm not an accounting major and it's like he was testing experienced CPAs. He should NOT be allowed to "teach" this class.
AC544-Nice guy but painfully boring class. He uses no visuals in his lectures and rambles on and on about who knows what. Online modules are long and confusing and there's no leeway for wrong answers. There's also a long project that is barely explained at all and is super long and confusing. He's a really nice guy but not so great of a teacher.
Probably the worst Professor I have ever taken in my whole college experience. Not only was he super rude and brushed off everything students asked, he also did not care at all and never taught us anything. Seriously what was he even being paid to do cause he taught nothing and refused to meet with students or answer their emails
In the online class, all of the learning comes from linked YouTube videos. You then are expected to review a 80 slide power point every 4 days, then the homework assignment of 10-20 questions(each 5-10 part answers).Very very challenging tests. This class is an entry level accounting course and its treated as though you are an experienced CPA.
It was a 10 week course, spanning 19 chapters. Every 7 days or so, you were expected to have 5 chapters worth of homework done, 350 slides of PowerPoint memorized, and about 100 pages of the textbook reviewed. There are no lectures or videos. Tests have nothing to do with the listed above. This class sets you up for failure. Avoid at all cost.
Take a course outside UA and have it transfer, this teacher is horrible. 4 tests at 25 questions, multiple choice but you have to submit 1 question at a time, you cannot go back through the questions. 1 final test at 50 questions. Tests are 70 percent of your grade. Tests are set up to trick you. This is a CPA course, not intro to accounting.
Honestly the worst professor I have ever taken. You are on your own teaching yourself the material. Tests are worth 70% of your grade and are extremely difficult. No study guides. No extra credit. Tests are nothing like the material and are set up to trick you. Very disappointed that there is not another option for a professor in this course online
Listen to every one! Run away! There is no teacher in this class. No help what so ever.He tells you to hire a tutor. Uhhhmm how about you teach the class Sir. We are already paying you to teach it! You have been warned. I want my money back!
I could rate him a zero I would. I took this course online and he didn't teach at all. There weren't any lecture videos. You basically had to teach yourself from the book, and the exams are nothing like the homework and practice problems. He doesn't allow formulas on the exams and asks you trick questions. He also doesn't allow any extra credit.
For the grinder students who have limited or no other options but to take this course, it is not as bad as it is made out to be. This course is pretty difficult and will require some long study sessions, but if you can commit to mastering the basics in the first few chapters the chapters that follow are somewhat self-explanatory. Tests are hard.
I have never in my 6 years of college had a professor like this one. No study guides, no lectures, no calls to review modules. I felt so defeated in this course! If it was the ONLY course I took in a semester it MIGHT have been better because it requires so much of your time to read, take notes, and attempt to memorize an entire accounting textbook
I had to take this class somewhere else. I spent on average 16 hours/week and still couldn't pass a single exam! The exams are NOTHING like the homework and exams are 70% of your grade! You have to PAY a third party to take all online exams. He does not teach or help. Take this class elsewhere if possible, it would be the best decision ever made!
Horrible teacher. Take this class anywhere else. The comments are all legitimate. Do not assume they are students just complaining.
Impossible course. harder than OM, and GBA 490. The volume of the work in his class reaches heights that university of Alabama has never seen before. NO lectures, NO Study guides, requires to use an online proctor. In which they treat you like prisoner of war assuming you're cheating every time you take a test. How he is still there no-one knows.
He was no help when I asked how to study better because the test was nothing like the homework material.
All of the reviews are accurate. Minyard is an absolute menace. If you have to take this class, be prepared for a snarky emails and his signature "it's in the syllabus". No study guides, no test reviews, no meaningful correspondence....you're just raw-doggin' this course alone and unafraid.
This class is an intense grind. The professor provides little guidance, and the exams are designed to be tricky, not reflect the material. However, with dedication and tools like unstuck AI, it's possible to survive. Just be prepared for a tough semester.
Not sure how he even has the title of being a professor. There are zero lectures and his feedback when asked to help is always that you just aren't doing enough. I spent endless hours studying for this course and the tests are nothing like the information supplied. R U N.
Worst teacher I have ever had. He does not care. He will not help you or teach you anything directly! Avoid taking his class!
He doesn't teach at all. This is a “teach yourself” class. The only advice he gives is to “read the syllabus” and “good luck.” The material itself isn't hard but he makes it hard by not supplementing it with lectures. The test questions are barely anything like the textbook material. Please take this class somewhere else if possible.
The exams he gives are meant to be very confusing and not always what the material given focuses on. Asked for additional resources after not doing the best on an exam and was told that I was overthinking the questions. Would not recommend taking this class online with him as the professor.
If you already struggle with accounting- DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. I am usually a straight A student but I am not even sure if I am going to pass this class. You have to read the textbook and even if you do, it prob won't help.
This was one of my last classes in my final semester. I have passed every other class leading up to ac 351 with ease. There are no study guides, no calls to review modules, homework given that is almost opposite of what is on the tests. I spent hours upon hours of studying, and when it came to the tests I was dumbfounded. Good luck!
Class consisted of reading the entire textbook and being tested on things that weren't clearly taught or just completely not in the textbook, most of the time with different language. No study guides, no supplemental lectures or notes, and when asked for extra resources, he just replies with "keep it up" and never does anything. Terrible teacher.
Wonderful professor. He's a great guy and great teacher, everyone rating him low just made a mistake taking AC-210 online in the first place. Grade consisted of problem sets and quizzes.
Took it online. He doesn't post any lectures, you have to learn out of the textbook and tests are camera proctored. If you've taken an AC class before it's mostly review, but if not I would try to take a prof that actually teaches.
I ignored the poor reviews but PLEASE do not take this class. I have a 4.0 and am usually a very good student, even in online classes. I spent days studying for these tests and still failed two. Often, the test used language that had never been used before. I watched every video and read every word of the textbook and still failed.
