He is extremely interesting, and I always enjoy his class, there should be more professors as willing as he is to teach, and help students. It is also a fairly easy class.

The best part about this class is that he acts out each disorder! It is hilarious! He knows his stuff too...he has had so much experience with people with personality disorders, it is quite impressing! His stories of his experiences are very helpful in learning the material! TAKE THIS CLASS!

This is one of the few classes that I actually hate to miss. This man will do anything to get your attention and usually it's pretty funny. I would recommend this teacher to anyone trying to take a psych class at wake tech. He's also a hell of a snappy dresser.

This guy was awesome. Got out of class early just about every day. Tests were easy, considering he gave the answers to them before we took them. Wish i had more teachers like him.

really goofy! tells a lot of corny jokes and weird stunts. extremely easy class. none of his notes were in any order and his hand writing is atrocious but he gives study guides that follow the test questions EXACTLY. this is an easy A course, not an indepth one for learning more about psychology.

MR. Thompson is the man. Funny and easy. This dude will tell you all sort of funny stories. It is of no use taking the notes but yes do attend his review class because thats the real deal. There is no way you can get anything but an A.

He is so much fun. He made taking pyschology fun and exciting. Before this class, I just wanted to get it over with, now I just might take another class in psychology because it really is interesting. He has fun with the class an is very upbeat.

This guy is SO GOOFY!! He grades papers really easy, and his tests aren't bad either. He gives in-depth study guides straight from the textbook. We watched a bunch of psychology movies (not Blockbusters), and he made stupid jokes every class. Highly recommended!!

Definately a good teacher. If you dont know the answer on a pop-quiz, he'll give you credit for effort and creativity. A prodigy at keeping intrest and attention. We were able to understand him and we learned plenty.

Before I started PSY 118, I thought it would be interesting. I didn't think it would be THAT interesting. Dr. Thompson's class quickly became my favorite class that semester. It was really engaging and very simple.

Mr. Thompson is an amazing teacher! He is so knowledgeable and engaging in class. As long as you do the study guides he gives you, you should do just fine. Mr. Thompson is always willing to answer questions you may have and extremely easy to reach outside of class. I would recommend his class to anybody.

Thompson is possible the most student friendly professor on campus. He gives excellent analogies that help you retain the material. Each of your four exams come with an extensive study guide that details EXACTLY what is on the test. If you spend a minimal amount of time studying, you pass. Simple as that. Hands down, my favorite professor yet.

BEST PSYCH TEACHER EVER!! I had him once a week for 3 hours and we laughed the whole time. He keeps you on your feet with his stunts and gives extra credit, especially if you can work cheetos into your paper. Study guidesthe test(exact order). Don't procrastinate on the paper and ask for help if you need it. I usually hate psych but he made it fun

I was scared because I thought his tests were gonna be hard and I showed up and got a test that was the exact copy of the study guide pretty much. He's also very funny.

Uses many examples to make Psychology easy to understand. The tests were very easy as the study guide he gives is EXACTLY what will be on the test. He also "curves" grades!!

Professor Thompson was by far my FAVORITE professor I had this semester BY FAR. He makes the lectures informational but interesting yet fun. Yes there is quite a few note taking/power point slides but if you do the work and study like you are supposed to, then you will do fine. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Omg Mr. Thompson is the best teacher I have had a wake tech. He is hilarious and keeps the lectures interesting. He only gives one paper which he will mention on the first day of class and gives you almost 2 months to do it. Also he gave 10 points extra credit on a test how freaking awesome is that. He was a great teacher over all. Study though!

I've taken two classes with Professor Thompson and he is an amazing teacher. He truly cares about the success of his students. He is also super funny and loves to make jokes. His tests are almost word for word the study guide. For the term paper, as long as you format it correctly and its the right length, he will give you a 100.

Has a very light-hearted attitude and childish sense of humor (in a good way). Definitely makes the lectures fun and interesting, and can be serious when needed. 10/10 would reccommend. You take four tests (?), the exam, a project, and that's all of your grades.

Easiest class I've taken by far at Wake Tech online. (I'm almost done with my AS degree) Take him, you won't regret it! He's clear about assignments due during the week and he's an easy grader. I took an 8 week course with him and It was not any more work than a 16 week class. Weekly quizzes and DBs, 1 paper, tests are easy multiple choice.

A good choice and is fairly easy. Online, however, it's a bit more difficult, seeing as you don't have any lectures. There's a lot of reading and really technical terms, so get ready to stuff a ton of terms into your brain. Not extremely hard, but is definitely not one you can skate by

Prof. Thompson is a GREAT professor. The work load is heavy but not very hard. He answers questions through email. Very friendly guy. I appreciated that he really cared for the success of his students. There is a 6 page term paper but as long as you write a decent 6 page paper you will get a 100. Pretty easy class you just have to put the work in.

Professor Thompson is WONDERFUL! I took the 8-week course and it was a lot of work, but not difficult work. You just have to put in the time to be successful. Grading wasn't too difficult and he is very accommodating and understanding with the occasional late assignment. He makes psychology interesting and uses material aside from the textbook.

Only homework is one or two discussion boards each week. 1 or 2 quizzes each week, but you can retake them as many times are you want and there's no time limit. Tests are comprised of the quiz questions. One term paper but he gives hundreds so long as you follow the rubric. Final Exam wasn't bad. Offers 10 extra credit points for final exam.

There were about 40 pages of a textbook, a quiz, and a discussion board each week. The quizzes weren't hard, and there were unlimited attempts. 4 tests, and a final, all of which were worth 8%. The provided PowerPoints were great for taking notes. The professor himself was nice, and an easy grader. One research paper, five pages long.

This was one of the easies classes i have taken. However there are only 4 tests, a paper, and the final, which means if you fail one your screwed. Even though the whole class is powerpoints, he makes the class very engaging.

This course was the easiest course compared to my 3 other classes. If you use internet resources along with the textbook you should be fine. He was virtually rude with me being an online student w a hard schedule. He refused to meet outside office hours even though I was working during his office hours. He's just inconsiderate of students schedules

I took Professor Thompson's Social Psychology class and I fell in love with the subject. I have taken many Sociology courses and I found Social Psychology to be the perfect blend of Sociology and Psychology. The final paper was not super well outlined for people not familiar with APA but Professor Thompson made it right and added extra credit.

Professor Thompson's Social Psychology was a really easy class and he was an easy grader. It was an online class but he would give extensions on things if you asked and he gave clear feed back. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Thompson is quirky, energetic, and kind. The class was lecture heavy, but if you don't mind that, it's quite easy. If you listen and take notes, you'll do just fine. One essay which is only worth 10% of your grade. No homework or assignments, just the 4 tests, 1 essay, and final exam. Tests were open note. Dr. Thompson was super caring! :)

Professor Thompson was a fun and charismatic teacher, definitely tries to make the lectures enjoyable despite everything being read off of the powerpoint. Class is very lecture heavy. If you take notes and review the study guides before each test, you should be fine.

Overall a good professor. The course was very heavy on reading and quizzes and weekly discussion boards. Also a midterm paper. Unlimited attempts on quizzes but there were 4 unit tests and a final where only one attempt is allowed with a lockdown browser so you need to know the course material to pass. Not an easy class but not super hard either.

I enjoyed taking his psy 237 online class. It consisted of discussion boards, quizzes, 4 tests, 2 papers, and a final exam. He uses the quiz questions on the tests which is the part I like. He also allows us to take the quizzes as many times as we want. The paper is easy, make sure you follow the directions and his grading criteria.

I loved Dr Thompson's class! He went through PowerPoint every lecture and assigned test questions based on the powerpoints. My only wish would be that there would be more of a space to show my knowledge, other than tests. I am a very awful test taker so I mainly stuck with a C the whole semester. Overall though, great professor!

He was very understanding when I came to him about a major family emergencies. He also responds to emails in a reasonable time frame.

This class was very easy. Just do the readings and quizzes and you will be fine. Make sure to watch for the final paper and prepare it before it's too late.

He's a bit quirky and takes some adjusting to, but he's a really funny and entertaining teacher! The physical class consists of 4 tests, a midterm essay, and a final exam, but they're relatively easy even if you study just a little. (He also adds like an extra credit to tests so you can get a decent grade even if you miss some questions)

Take him for psychology! He has good lectures and powerpoints that are easy to follow, even if they are long. His tests follow the weekly quizzes so if you study those you should pass this class easily.

If u need to take a psych class, take it with him. I took it in person and he made the class so so fun, he's always got smth interesting to say and his tests are super easy, just do the study guide and you will ace every test.

If you're good at tests, Thompson's class is a breeze. The weekly quizzes and discussions help prepare for the exams. unstuckstudy and the textbook summaries are also great study tools.

I took this class along with 1 other in an 8 week summer session, and I still found myself getting a bit overwhelmed with work. I really like taking notes while reading textbooks, but there was too much work to have time for this. However, the terms are easy. There was a big writing assignment. As long as you stay on top of things, it's not hard.

There was a lot of reading and weekly discussion posts. He had one paper about half-way through the semester that was in APA format. His tests are proctored but the answers are the exact same as his quizzes so just drill them a lot. As long as you meet his discussion board word count and do well on the quizzes, you should be fine.

Donald Thompson was by far the easiest professor I've had. We had a discussion board with two replies, a quiz every week, and a Test every three chapters. Quizzes you would get 2 attempts on. For the discussion board, as long as you follow the prompt, it's an easy 100 every week. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed taking Mr. Thomspon class!! i took his class online for the summer and yes its fast paced but everything is manageable. 4 test, quizzes every chapter (due fridays) and Disscusion board as well one term paper and final, might seem like a lot but its really easy! One thing I will say is be prepared to read! overall great teacher!

I did less than 10 assignments for this class. Professor Thompson was very kind and accommodating. He even lets you drop (I believe) one grade for the course, which can be the single big essay you have to do for the class. The study guides have everything you need to know for the exams; just be ready to study before they arrive.

He made his lectures fun and interesting! There is a textbook but he puts all of the important information into slides, he also has a set of slides with a voice over which includes more details!
