His English is fine, but with a Korean accent, definitely not hard to understand if you listen. Compared to some TA's, his English is refined :). My big issue with him is that he is strictly a math teacher and totally disregards the computer science sections of the book when 99% of the class is CS.

His tests are more about memorizing the formulas than knowing how to apply them. Also there are a lot of true/false and multiple choice which can be a good or bad thing. I know my grade should have been a C in the class but I somehow ended up with a B. Because of that I am happy with him.

Absolute joke, especially for zoom classes. He sounds like he is using a blackberry phone as his microphone for zoom; so I never actually hear what he is saying. On average, we will do 5-6 pages of notes easily during his hour and 15-minute lecture. When we are confused about something, he never actually explains it. Overall I would never take this

Don't take him. The 3 exams literally determine your grade and if you do bad on one you're screwed. You can figure out the homework (using the internet/YouTube) but that only counts for like 10 percent of your total grade. You cannot understand a word he's saying during the lecture, he goes way too fast, and it rude when you try to ask a question.
