Very knowledgeable and funny. Enjoyed the class. Tests took lots of stufying because she asks questions in many different formats. Take her if you want to learn something.
Class is not to hard but she plays favorites, get on her good side and you will be alright, if you don't shes a ****
She def. plays favorites to the boys. her test take forever to study for and even if u study, it could go either way bc the questions are tricky. I got a B in the class and studied ALOT! but maybe it was bc i was a girl!
Like her alot, but i was a guy and sat in the front. Her test are average but class is really hands on and makes the time fly.
She is the worst professor I've ever had in my entire life! She doesn't explain assignments, she doesn't lesten to students. A lot of students are complaining about her.

I thought she was a great teacher.,,,down to earth, made class enjoyable. You do have to study for her tests. I'm a girl and i don't think she favored the boys. Take her if you want to learn!!!
She was any easy person to talk to but favored the boys so much more. Her tests were tricky and controversial, she always thougt she was right when everyone else knew she was wrong. She's under review. . .I wouldn't take her. . .
If you are not a guy then do not take her! She favors the guys and hates girls. She is not a nice person and her tests are confusing. Her tests always have more than one right answer and when you ask her for credit for your answer she will never give it. I wouldn't take her.
i was told to take her b/c she was an easy teacher but her tests arent that easy and they take forever to study for....her classes are so boring and she really doesnt know what she is talking about either
She was a great teacher. She doesnt take BS so dont think her coarses are a breeze. She cares a lot about the students learning and is helpful with tests and assignments. Ive had her for 2 years now and she is an excellent teacher.
Once again, completely favors the guys. Tests were MUCH harder than anyone expected, as said earlier as well, tests have many answers that could be correct. i would say very fake and inappropriate.
Easier for communications than research. SOOOOO true about the guys. I dont know if she hates girls necessarily, but if you cant take dave allen shes a decent backup
I really dont see how she favors guys... she was always fair with me, and im a girl. she is a total sweetheart, and i enjoyed the classes. MR is def tougher than MC, and class could be boring at times, but MC you have an easy A and MR and easy B.
I really dislike this woman. Tests were unclear and it was impossible to know what you would be tested on. I played a sport and missed some classes which was okay for the boys but if you are a girl forget it. She has no symapthy for girls. Even if you take time to do ex credit she still doesnt respect ur effort. Reminds me of Corella Deville
Tests were easy, subject was easy, class was fun. Didn't notice her picking on the women. Do the work and you'll get the grades people.
I had no idea that she had a reputation of being a sadist and grades very badly. She is not very helpful in directing you in class and you would have no idea about your grade until the end of the class which is not very helpful either.I really regret taking taking her class, I wish I knew before how she was.
good teacher, i learned a lot from her.
Very un-clear about what she is looking for in assignments, never knew where i stood with my grade
tests are some what easy, helps a lot if you read the chapters. she's not very good with helping you with the project. the students set the bar for how she grades the projects. homework every week, not hard. shes funny sometimes. classes are quick. i would recommend her.
Not the best marketing professor I've had, but definately not as bad as her reputation. The class is easy if you go... the tests are challenging though. Participation really helps, she seems to like knowing her students. Nice lady
I liked this class alot..sometimes can be boring because its mostly slides but 50min goes by fast..homeworks are interesting and fun-not usually from the text..she makes class fun by involving real life situations..tests are multiple choice/true n false..mostly straight out of the book and review...i would take her again..cares about her students
she doesnt give deadlines for the project so you will probably only have a days notice when the next part is due. definately my least favorite marketing professor ive had thus far.
She teaches from slides but just runs through them without teaching the information thoroughly. She is not clear about homework assignments. If no one answers her questions in class, she'll punish the class with a pop quiz. Her tests are tough and tricky. You basically have to teach the information to yourself. She always make unfunny jokes.
her class is all about powepoints. it's boring hard to follow and even when you do follow it she isn't teaching the information very well. she plays favorites. if you are a basketball player or in the ama then you are good to go. her tests were poorly worded and tricky and she grades harder then she should for how she teaches. take someone else.
Not a good teacher. Its a shame you'll have to take her because she is the only Research teacher. Plays favorites(AMA students). Grading scale is too broad and not defined. Tests aren't bad but she words them to trick you. Project was easiest part. Overall pretty bad teacher and unreasonably unfair. Don't buy the book, download her powerpoints.
She is a very nice and helpful woman. Her tests are very hard though. The project was not too bad. Overall, a good class just very hard tests.
Not very nice nor is she a good professor. Unclear with what she expects and her exam questions are not clear at all. I am not taking some electives because she is teaching the class. Try to get anyone else for research!
Worst professor I have taken at St. Joseph's. Cannot get higher than a C if you don't particpate regulary and do good on her tests. Teaches from slides and tests are hard.
Not very nice! The exam were very hard considering she goes through the material very fast. She teaches 100% from slides. She does play favorites and if you are not one of them look out! She took points off of my grade for missing class when my car battery died.
Just reads what is on the slides. Not very helpful and if she does not like you (for what ever reason she has) she will treat you different. Unclear and mean. Would look for someone else for research.
Do not take this lady if you value your grade. She does not explain projects or the homework whatsoever. Her class is boring and all she does is read off the slides.
Donna Falgiatore is by far the worst professor I've had since attending SJU. I wish I'd read this website before I registered for her class. You will not receive any guidance..ANY. This woman should not be at SJU.
She is a VERY nice lady, understanding, easy going, and does not choose favorites. I'm a female and she treated me just as she did the boys. All she asks from the students is to make it easy for both you and her by participating in class. If you participate and put in effort in class like an adult then she will respect you like an adult.
i personally love dr. falgiatore, she is my advisor and i had her for principles. i am taking her next semester for communications. attendance is mandatory and you must study but if you pay attention in class, its really not hard. she respects you if you respect her. do the assignments. participate. study what she says is important n ur golden
Professor Falgiatore is an excellent teacher! She gives 3 exams and a final exam. The group project was interesting to write about (ours was TCBY). She definitely knows what she is talking about and she is very helpful. Even though I did not do very well on the exams, she is still an excellent professor.
This class wasn't the hardest class I've taken, but she wasn't very good at explaining what needed to be done. You never know when the homework is due, the project is not clearly explained and the test questions are always not what you study. Shes a nice enough lady but I wouldnt reccommend.
She's definitely a ball buster, but she knows what she's doing. Go to her for help, she's really nice and wants you to do well. The class may have been a little boring but she offered advice that you just won't find in a text book. Overall, I really liked her!
Awful. Homework is due before the lesson is taught so you basically teach it to yourself. She spends about ten minutes rambling about one slide and basically bores students to death. Tests are hard even though the material is increidbly easy. Worst business school teacher I have had. Stay away if you can.
Overall, Donna has an understandingof the material, but she is not the greatest human being. I enjoyed learning about marketing, but not from her. I don't know why she is a professor because she is so mean to her students. Don't take her class because she will ruin marketing for you.
I loved Professor Falgiatore! Her tests can be challenging but if you read the chapters you'll do fine. As long as you show up to class on time and prepared she's actually a sweetheart!
if you are looking for a nice teacher who cares about you as a student, do not take this professor. had her all semester and she probably knew 2 students by name out of 20.
Tests are extremely difficult. She suggests studying from the power points, text book and MyMarketingLab and about half of that information is the test and the other half we've never seen before. Also assignments due dates are not clear.
Ugh she is a piece of work. Rude and insensitive, I feel bad for whomever she lives with. A tough grader, she gives no slack for not following her stupid essay instructions on the tests. She will manhandle you on your group project. It doesn't matter if you're intelligent; you need to seriously suck up to her if you want something close to/ or an A
This person is what gives educators a bad name. She is sarcastic, mean, rude, and a terrible teacher. I am baffled by how she is a teacher at this fine school.
3 tests 1 group project and 10 individual activities. Tests are 1 essay and multiple choice. Overall not a lot of work, but she can be very difficult to deal with and extremely difficult to reach. Also is rude and doesn't bring much excitement to class but she does care about marketing and your learning and always wants to help with career advice
She will help you if you go see her but she is generally rude and condescending to her students. She'll interrupt you in the middle of your presentation because she assumes that you're missing information even if it's on a later slide. She's not afraid to make you feel like an idiot.
This woman is the WOST teacher at SJU. She's rude, doesn't help you, and her work is impossible. I did okay in the class b/c I studied for days for her test. I was so relieved when that class was over. If you can, DON'T TAKE HER, but if you don't have a choice then I'd recommend reading the text book, my marketing lab, and a lot of studying.
She is a horrible person and an even worse teacher. I tried to like her, but I just couldn't do it. Her tests are hard, she isn't clear on any due dates, and she is a really tough grader. I thought marketing would be fun, but she ruined it. She doesn't allow laptops and has a strict attendance policy. I would NOT recommend her.
Simply put she is a terrible teacher and shouldn't be one. You have to teach yourself and that barely helps for those impossible tests.
I would consider myself optimistic and give even the worst of teachers a chance. Even if she likes you, she'll rip you apart, on open ended test questions and the group project. She thinks too highly of herself and makes a fun class not fun at all. Make sure your answers are all repeated from what she said or you're 100% wrong. Terrible experience
If you have the option DO NOT take her. I put in more work in this class then i did for all my class in the spring. Group project is a mess...
It's true, she's not easy. You have to try incredibly hard in this course to get a decent grade and, most of the time, she's not very helpful. With that being said, those who care about getting good marks will learn a lot from the course as they try to manage everything. She gives you study guides for the exams, but the project can be difficult.
I crack up at how mean she can be. She is very intimidating and will make you feel stupid. She's a very tough teacher, but the class itself isn't THAT bad. The group projects are a lot of work and she rips you apart if you don't follow instructions and go in depth. Good luck!
Donna is a really tough professor. Gives no leeway with any of the assignments. Her exams are hard and she gives a 50 minute time limit on them. This course requires you to stay on top of your work and study or you will fail. She is nice personally, but not as a professor. Learned a lot though.
Falgiatore was not as terrible as others described her, but nonetheless she is a very tough teacher. At times, she can be disrespectful, unprofessional, and even unfair. I put the most work into her class and never felt that I received the grade that I deserved. I probably would not choose to have her as a professor again.
Donna does take some getting used to. She's definitely a tough teacher, but she makes class somewhat interesting and really just wants to have an active class. If you go to see her, she will give you pretty helpful advice. Overall, the class was stressful, but not as bad as I originally thought it would be.
Falgiatore has a bad rep and I admit before taking her class I was terrified. But I have respect for this woman. She is brutally honest and tough but if you get on her good side you will do well. Participate and ask questions and you will get on her good side. Her project and all of her tests were very straightforward. She gives good directions
Tough but fair teacher. She seems mean, and can be if no one participates. If everyone does participate, however, she livens up and the class can actually be kind of enjoyable. Tests are alright but she grades the essay questions and group project pretty harshly. Overall she's not a bad teacher, but you'll have to work for your grade.
a very bad experience. first C on my transcript and im a senior.
Professor Falgiatore is unclear in her directives, and due dates/deadlines are almost impossible to keep straight. She is derisive towards students and curt in both written and verbal communication. Lectures are right from the textbook, & tests aren't bad if you study. Course content is interesting, but the group project is a nightmare. Good luck.
This might be the worst prof that I have ever taken at SJU, she is abusive, lazy, and unknowledgeable. Study guides for tests are useless as well as the lectures, exam questions will often be from chapters not yet covered. Group project is an absolute nightmare, took over 12 proposals to get approval. High majority of people get some kind of C
I feel she would've been a great teacher in 1985, but age and a changing industry has ruined her. Because of this, she projects a lot of her anger on other students, and her ineptitude with technology doesn't help. However, if you talk with her and understand how she runs things, you'll be okay. She's very old school.
Dreaded going to her class, endlessly boring lectures, was no help for the group project and interrupts every presentation Participation is a must. Cant believe some of her comments in class
The worst teacher at SJU, she is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Do not take if you have the choice.
I'll give her one thing, she's a smart woman. Other than that, she is intimidating and one of the worst professors I have ever encountered. The group project is absolutely miserable and completely unclear. I worked so hard for every exam and in this class in general but it doesn't show. Only take her if you hate yourself and want to be miserable.
Not a good class to take, she only talks and gets mad when you take notes and not look at her when she talks. She doesn't tell you what you get wrong on the test when handed back. Very rude and doesn't help if you have questions about projects or homework. Do not take. Worst. Teacher. Ever. Had.
During class, the professor will call on random students and berate them if they do not know the answer to the question at hand. She will also critisize students for their opinions. The tests in the online class are all multiple choice and true or false, but will have questions on chapters even covered yet.I would not recommend her to anyone.
Professor does not care about her students, makes what should be an easy class unnecessarily difficult. Just flat out mean and the group project is a mess, she provides no direction whatsoever. would not recommend to anyone
Dr. Falgiatore's class is pretty dry, but she does attempt to ease the tension by cracking the occasional joke now and then. Her group project is a bit of a mess as she does not clearly explain what criteria is required to get an A. Her exams are not that difficult if you properly study the subject material, which demands a lot of reading.
Falgiatore makes everything 10x more difficult than necessary & is extremely hypocritical. She really could not care less about her students. Acts very unprofessional, has no teaching method, & talks down to everyone. There is also no technology use allowed at all. Exams are not that bad if you study but group projects are a disaster- don't take!
Truly the worst professor at SJU. She is inappropriate, rude, and disrespectful. She thinks that she is being funny but is truly rude. She treats anyone who has a different opinion than her is stupid and does everything possible to make students' lives miserable. Don't take her at all but especially if you're a marketing major.
Easy class- she gives out the test material in study guides and if you go through the slides she posts you can make comprehensive study guides and ace them all. She's not nice though- since a lot of majors have to take MKT201 for credit she thinks no one wants to be there, and her attitude borderlines on cruel. She also won't reschedule ANYTHING.
I've never hated going to a class more than this one, she is disrespectful, rude and does not care about her student at all. She didn't welcome any answers that was not word from word what she wanted. Never have had a professor put me down and make me feel as stupid as Professor Falgiatore. She has her favorites, If you aren't one of them, you know
Please save yourself. I would rather do anything else in the world than sit in one of Falgiatore's classes. She's the worst teacher ever. No matter how much work you put into your work she does not care, almost as of she wants her students to do bad. She needs to be in control 24/7 and isnt afraid to be rude when you get an answer wrong.
Prof. Falgiatore expects more than enough from everyone. Final grades were based mostly on group project which combines everything learned in class. Participation and attention to details is required, otherwise you will just waste money, time and most likely end up with a mediocre grade. Prof is knowledgeable and knows a lot about marketing.
Worst teacher i have ever had. expects students to know literally the entire textbook and gets mad when students dont know the answer to a question. she will call on you randomly and expect that you get the answer right. her tests are hard and she doesn't really care about her students. if you email her she will only email you back one or two words
She is a great teacher and super nice but she for some reason has a bad reputation. I loved her class!
Worst teacher I've ever had in my life. 50 questions per exam but you only have 45 minutes to complete the exam. If she's the only teacher available for you to take, wait a semester for literally anyone else. Makes an "intro" class feel like a 500+ level course.
This class is one where you have to constantly be studying every week, her tests are hard but she is very willing to help you and re-explain things in office hours. DO PARTICIPATE in every class, take notes even on speakers (because she puts them on the test). Her class is very insightful I learned so much more than what my grade represents.
Please take another class, she is very difficult when it comes to grading and setting up exams. Her classes are very dry and she expects you to know everything that she is going to be teaching even though you haven't learned the material yet. Her exams are atrocious and you have more questions than time available to answer them. Stay Away!!!!!
This teacher gives 50 question exams to be completed in 50 minutes, in which you cannot go back on questions previously answered. I believe the class average for one of them was a 62. Lectures do not reflect the exams. Feedback on the group project is very vague, with no substantiated criticism. Her canvas page is extremely difficult to navigate.
Horrible professor. Your grade will be determined heavily by three confusing exams and a semester long project with very vague directions. Her feedback during project stages is completely unhelpful and she is a very tough grader. You will never understand why you got the grade you got. She is out of touch and rude, avoid at all costs.
You never know what mood she is going to be in. She also doesn't give clear instructions when it comes to the big class project, and makes it very difficult to even start on the project because she'll usually reject the first couple idea's your group will come up with. With that said, she did appreciate all of the final presentations.
Extremely stubborn and difficult grader over the littlest things, graded by a small amount of assessments and mostly a group project in which she is never pleased no matter how much effort is put in
If you want to pass, don't take this class with her. She will never be pleased. You need to go to class and participate, if not, she'll be rude. The exams are hard. When she explains something in class and it shows up in the exam she changes the correct answers to things she never said in class. Highly don't recommend it.
Worst professor I've had at SJU. Unclear instructions all around, boring lectures, her personal mood determines her level of rudeness for the day, group project heavy, tough grader, tests based on minor details mentioned once in class, things due at odd times, and does not even tell you that you have homework (only reason you even need textbook)
If you could take this class in person, I would. Dr. Falgiatore is a tough-love person and is very tough when it comes to grades. The class is based on a couple of tests, participation, and one big group presentation, It is very important if you read the chapters before class and participate during class time. Make sure you stick to the syllabus.
She posted an assignment called "Media Roulette", here's part of the assignment description: "If you are not prepared, expect a 10 point deduction on your next exam and embarassing yourself in front of the the other stduents." Any professor using embarrassment as a threat doesn't care about students' mental health. It's power hungry and demeaning.
She isn't horrible as a teacher its just when it comes to grading thats a whole different thing. Her classes are just lectures that are tolerable, but her semester long project is confusing and she barely helps you. If you miss the assignment by a minute its a zero. She is super stingy with that and can be rude. Her tests are based off powerpoints.
WORST PROFESSOR AT SJU. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE STUDENTS AND YOU WILL END UP WITH A BAD GRADE NO MATTER HOW MUCH EFFORT YOU PUT INTO IT.
She definitely knew what she was talking about in her lectures, but the tests were really difficult. You have to make sure you really read, watch videos she posts, and take extensive notes to do well in this class. Also make sure you have good members for your project. She harshly grades those and it's a big part of your grade so you wanna do well
