She is a very fair professor. You have homework problems, but you also go over them in class. Exams are very extensive, but is over the material you learn. No suprises. Pop quizes, both in class and take home. No big final, but there is a project.

Class is very tough. Tests are challenging, but she is a great teacher. She is willing to work with you and is she makes her self available. Requires a lot of outside preparation but with a lot of hard work you can do well in her class. She really cares

This teacher is a GOD compared to Dillon. WAY better than Dillon. Explains material well, and goes over hwmk in class. Exams aren't easy, but not unfair like Dillon. Quizzes aren't too bad either, just keep up with the work and don't fall behind. If you do that you will be fine.

TOUGH class, but no she makes is MUCH more manageable than Dillon.Does not adjust exams, but they are fair. Gives a lot of take-home quizzes to help your grade and a cumulative project(not too hard). Explains things really well, but its really the class that sucks not her.TAKE her over Dillon.

Probably the best Accounting teacher at OU. Way better than Pelfrey or Dillon. She is really good at explaining things. Highly recommend her for any accounting class. Very nice and down to earth.

She is so approachable. She jokes around in class and makes Accounting understandable (believe it or not). She is SOOOOO much better than Dillon. She's SMOKIN HOT when compared to Dillon too!!!!

It's very hard not to like her. She has a passion for accounting and you can tell that she does during everyone of her lectures. The class is no cake walk though and you will have to make sure you know the concepts, because her tests are pretty extensive, and the final is cumulative. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat though.

Best Prof I've ever had at OU, Prof. Free is extrememly helpful, knowledgable and funny! Actually cares about the students and wants them to do well. Makes ACC easier to understand, exam are hard but fair. Overall A+++

Very good teacher even though it's annoying how much she enjoys accounting. She does a good job of explaining things in class but if you want to do well, plan on spending a few hours each week outside of class going over the material. Her tests and quizzes are hard, but they're very straightforward. Anyway, I hate accounting and still got a 3.7.

hard class but she explains the materially well. exams are so long but are like the problems you do in class. you really have to study your butt off to get a good grade.

I got a 2.2 in Dillon's ACC310 and that is because of extra credit and the final project. I got a 3.3 in Free's class and left knowing more about accounting then ever. The class is hard but with her as a professor anything is possible. A++++++

Awesome! Very clear and helpful and knows exactly what she is talking about. I highly recommend her!! The exams are straight forward and not too challenging. Just make sure to keep up on the HW and readings.

THE BEST. Makes accounting easy, its hard to believe theres a 50% failure rate for acc 200 with having free as your professor.

AWESOME!!! really loves what she does and it shows. She cares about every student, and tries her best to teach us accounting. I am grateful I had her as a professor.

AMAZING PROFESSOR!! Would take her again in a heart beat. The pace of the class made learning 10 times easier. Notes for class were very easy to follow and understand. Probably one of the best accounting professors at OU.

best accounting professor at OU.was scared at 1st taking this course but she taught it very well so you know what is going on You DO need to work though Read the chapters, come to class, take notes, do the homework, if you keep up and keep organized you will do great I got a 3.7 and could have done better if I wouldn't have slacked in the middle :)

Loved her! She is so patient with her students and so helpful! Always willing to sit down and talk to you. I would take her again in a second! Very enthusiastic about the subject, she shows her excitement in class, which makes it a lot easier!

Great intro class for accounting. You learn a lot of info but it's not too fast paced. She gives you notes to print off and you just follow along. I had questions during class and she always answered them. I couldn't imagine having a better experience and I look forward to taking her again in future accounting courses.

Donna Free is a terrific professor!! I definitely recommend taking her. She explains all the material very clearly.

Professor Free is a great instructor. She makes you work for your grades, no doubt, but she gives you all of the information that you need to do your work, through notes and examples.

She is the best accounting professor you will find at OU. Very helpful, homework, stay up with the class and you will do just fine!

Probably the best accounting professor OU has to offer. She wants you to understand accounting and will do anything to help you out. Made material that is difficult seem easy. Don't expect her to be on time, if she arrived at 9:59 for a 10:00 class we considered it a blessing. Beside that she's the best. Hint- really study cash flows for the final.

I had her for the day class twice a week. She is an amazing professor. Teaches subject very well! One thing i learned is accounting is not for the faint of heart. For the people that complain about the difficulty level need to change their major because this is going to be as easy as it gets acc 311 is much more difficult.

Even if u start off slacking she drops lowest quizzes and curves exam scores. extremely easy professor.

The quizzes were fairly easy and the lowest two got dropped anyway. She way very helpful and definately knew what she was doing.

Okay these ratings keep throwing people off. Yes Donna is a good professor and she is very helpful HOWEVER the class is extremely hard and she does have her favorites. ACC310 & 311 with her should come with a warning label: do not take more than 2 classes when taking 310 or 311 with her. Her exams are 10 pages long and you never know what to expect

OK yes this class is ridiculously hard. Forget about that for a second. Free is an amazing teacher. She will always help you out when you need it (trust me you will) and will explain anything until you understand it. Tests are very hard so study as much as you can. Great teacher.

Donna teaches the tough classes but she makes them interesting and fun. Her enthusiasm for teaching is very evident. Her tests are very long and will test you on everything you have studied, but are not that hard if you studied.

Great professor. Yes this is a hard class, but it's one of your major courses (Accounting Majors) so you should expect that. Go to class, take notes and study hard, and you will do just fine in this class. For any of Donna's classes, your grade directly reflects the work you put in OUTSIDE of the classroom.

Very great instructor. Accounting is not an easy subject but she will definitely help you and explain the material if you ASK!Attend every class, her lectures are thorough and notes are helpful when preparing for a test. You will get out of this class what you put into it, so if you study and do the exercise problems you will do well. I got a 3.6!

Donna is AMAZING! She is passionate, prompt, and fair. You work hard and she will reward you. Her projects were sometimes unclear but she is COMPLETELY open to questions that you might have. YOU MUST TAKE HER!!

Really great teacher, she definitely knows what she is talking about. This class has isn't too hard but it has a lot of projects that can be overwhelming in the beginning. Make sure you do the projects as soon as you can. Exams are mostly multiple choice. Take her if you can.

There are two Exams.

Her typed out notes help a lot. She tests you like you are taking the CPA exam. Exams can be challenging and it may take her longer to grade things than promised, but she's the best accounting professor at OU!

Free is a great professor but I think I would have done better in her course if the class had a longer lecture session. The amount of material covered is staggering and the cumulative final is hard to prepare for. I think if we had more time in class to go over examples it would've made a great difference on my exam scores.

Who doesn't love Donna Free? She's the best accounting professor at OU overall. She genuinely loves accounting and you can tell from her lectures. She's not the best at getting things graded on time, but she is very approachable and will respond with any questions you have! I try to take her for as many classes as I can!

The class is deceivingly tough, and is based mostly off of a few large projects and 2 exams. Study hard for the first exam as it is a bit tougher than one might expect. Free is a good professor though and definitely will help you if you need it. Try to do the excel/access projects as soon as she assigns them since they're just like the lectures.

Donna does a good job of teaching and she is another teacher that actually puts in the work. I don't really have any complaints for her either. The only thing i would like is to make the lectures more engaging for students.

She is a great professor, just know this class is probably one of hardest classes you will take. She teaches very well but even that wont help you because there's so much information that is given that you have to spend hours preparing for the class. I might fail but that's because I haven't fully put the time in. :(

Prof Free is by far the best prof at OU. 311 is a tough course but she does a great job of explaining the material in a way that's easy to understand. She is almost always available to help with any material you're struggling with. Try to read the material before lectures and do the problems she assigns after and you should be alright.

Professor Donna Free is a wonderful human being and is very passionate about accounting. You will love her, but she sometimes takes a VERY long time to grade assignments, but when you get them back she gives solid feedback.

The class isn't that difficult. The lectures are pretty straight forward, but she expects you to read the book before class. The access and excel projects are very similar to the in class exercises, so try to do them as soon as possible. There are only two tests that make up 65% of your grade. They aren't too tough if you study the class notes.

This class is by no means easy, but she tries her best to help you pass it. The exams are brutal. They are all short problems with multiple parts. You have to understand the material on the exams because every second counts. I ran out of time for a few of them. She is always willing to offer help though. She will stay after class to help anyone.

I don't know why people complain. She's a really good teacher. We had a couple of computer projects involving ACCESS and EXCEL but she'd show us what to do beforehand. I showed off by building a nested IF function to help with one of the what-if's scenarios. As long as you show up and partipcate, you'll be fine.

Donna is one of the nicest professors I've ever had, but she makes you work for it. There are only two tests in this class that make up a huge portion of your grade. Be sure to read every question carefully because one word can completely change the answer. She expects you to read the book before class. Overall, it was not a super tough class.

Great teacher, but the class is hard. Be prepared to spend 20 hours studying per exam if you want to pass. Replies to emails the same day and will help you outside of class. This class is hard no matter what. One thing that was annoying is that the questions covered in class are more simple than homework. Do the recommended problems she gives you.

4 exams, weekly quizzes, & Wiley HW assign. This class is obviously really hard HOWEVER, if you actually put in the time, you will do well. Make sure to pay attention to book problems, quizzes, & problems she made up because those will be similar to exams. Also, do the recommended book problems after each chapter. At the end she curves A LOT!!!!!!!

Great Instructor does her teaching old school so you will be in class and taking notes the whole time. You will learn alot.

As with most accounting classes it was a little difficult but Prof Free is easily one of the best professors at OU and couldn't recommend anyone better

She is the best accounting professor at OU. Intermediate acct 2 is hard and there is a lot of work to do. Her exams can be long but make sure you study well all her notes and quizzes before the exam. You should definitely put a lot of effort to do well in this class. Highly recommend!!

Free is understanding of the course load, difficulty, and grading system. Class is difficulty and stressful, but thats just the nature of the course/major. Do your homework, study notes, and study important problems. Go to OASIS meetings and participate.Don't get too overwhelmed but but in the work and you will be okay. Great prof out of class too!

Taking Prof Free was the best decision. It's a tough class and I took it accelerated, but prof Free makes it as easy as possible for you. Her lectures and notes are AMAZING. If you take good notes and study those notes well, you will easily pass this class. Her examples in notes are EXACTLY like exam questions. Put in the work and you will do well.

Free is the best ACC prof at OU. Her classes are extremely challenging and if you are looking for an easy A, she is not for you. If you put in the effort, you will pass. Additionally, she cares about her students both past and present. She is interested in the content she teaches and does her best to make it interesting for students as well.

hard class but great prof. she lectures slow enough and explains her thought process which is very helpful. you won't do well if you don't study, but she tells you what to focus on and pulls problems from the notes. I didn't read the textbook and did just fine. there are plenty of resources available in wiley including extra practice problems.

difficult course, but a great professor. If you go to class in person, do the homework, and study, you will be successful in this course. Lots of exams, but they cover only 2-3 chapters each. Homework takes a long time to complete. Show work on the exams, and she'll give partial credit. She wants her students to do well, I would recommend.

The material covered in this class is extreme. She does a good job explaining the material but you can only do so much. Reading the book will help you. Exam are tough.
