Incredible teacher. Geometry is not a good subject for me but she made it so much better. She was very helpful and genuinely cared for her students. I recommend her to everyone.

Ms. Katula does a very thorough job. She does tend to let the students ask too many questions and falls behind, but all in all I learned alot. Great teaching style and really laid back atmosphere.

donna was very helpful and made a class that really sucks not so bad...she always told us exactly what we needed to know on the test and gave us plenty of time to hand in our work...i failed this class in hs but with donna i got a high C...i strongly suggest you take her in any class you can!

Definetly the nicest and most helpful teacher I've had in college. If you have a question she will work with you untill you understand. In Math 153 there is a lot of homework and you need to do it because the tests are based of those problems.

Ms. Katula is a great teacher and she does a great job. She knows different ways to teach elementary students and she teaches us to be able to teach them. She is the Greatest Teacher for elementary education 123 and 124. She is highly recommended and I hope everyone gets her as a teacher for these classes.

She is very nice and helpful!! she's the best! but for her classes you have to pay attention, do your homework..and study! she does not just pass everyone! you get the grade u deserve but she is definetly very nice and willing to help students outside the class!! I love her!!!

Donna is a really sweet lady who actually wants he students to succeed, unlike many of the math teachers at JJC. She is merciful and takes a vested interest in your improvement. Just be honest with her about your needs and ability and she'll help you out.

Took class online. Well organized materials. Keeps you on track with set dates for turning in materials. Class discussions are a great way to earn points towards that A. Gives notes on tests to help in problem areas. Provides help if you ask for it. Will take her again for other classes. She's a great teacher, take her classes if you can.

I took this as an online class, and this professor is the best out there. I don't like math, but she's so patient and helpful, that I actually started to enjoy it. I only wish I could take more of her classes. If you get the chance, definitely take her! A bright, cheerful teacher who will boost your confidence in your abilities. :)

Katula is such a sweetheart! She definitely loves what she does and she has an awesome sense of humor. However, you can't make up any work that you've missed... she does drop the lowest test grade though.. Just make sure you don't miss any more than one test.. and do well on the rest. I would definitely take her again if I could.

She's a great teacher. She's very patient and helpfull. She makes sure you understand what is being taught and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking questions.

She grades fair and explains things clearly. She does not take late work, but that is no different than any other class I have taken. If you do the homework her test are a breeze. Just make sure you do the homework(but that should be given in any class) Nice person, very excited about Math.

Katula is the SWEETEST person EVER. She breaks EVERYTHING down for you. I despise math but I actually enjoyed her class. She's really understanding. If I could, I'd take her again. She writes up the tests, so if you take notes and actually study, you shouldn't have a problem. Notes are fill in the blank packets she hands out btw.

Very hard class, she is helps as much as she can and at the end of the semester she drops your 3 lowest homework grades and 1 lowest quiz grade. No matter how good you do on the discussion board,quizzes and homework if you fail the written tests you probably won't pass the class.

AWESOME teacher! took her online stats class over the summer and she was so helpful and made very clear exactly what was expected! her lecture notes are great-i hardly read the book, just learned the info from her notes! 6 exams, a couple online quizzes, easy homework assignments online, 5 discussions posts. AWESOME ONLINE TEACHER!

She is a great teacher! Very understanding. You have to do the homework which online it was at least an hrs. worth of homework each night. I hate math and had a hard time, but she took the time during the day to help me out with what I didn't understand! She wants you to succeed! I am taking her again in the fall!

Donna is a wonderful teacher!! I am an older student and have not had to do any of this math in years. This is not an easy class, unless u r good in math, although the teacher and the on-line material makes it much easier for those who need additional help. I would reccommend this teacher to everyone!!

Great teacher who really cares about her students. I was a little nervous at first about calc, but she made it easier than I expected. The content in this class isn't easy since it's calculus, but she does a great job explaining it. Do the hw, study for the quizes and test and you should be good if you put the time in.

Content not the easiest but she made it understandable. Do the homework and study for tests and you should be fine. Would recommend her for any math course, especially calc.

You get what you put into the class! Mrs. Katula gives out 100 points of optional assignments to help your grade and those assignments are homework! If you don't do the homework it won't count against you, but if you do it counts as a regular assignment and boosts the total points of your grade at the end of the semester! I thought Professor Katula was a very clear and thorough professor. She takes the time to answer any questions and will stop and review a certain topic if many people are having trouble with it. The exams were long and required you to study. Every exam took me around an hour and a half to complete. I would recommend her for Stats.

The course was not easy but she was very helpful. The tests are long and and difficult so be sure to study study study.

Challenging class but Donna will do everything possible to help you get the grade you want. Optional homework can boost your grade, but tests and quizzes are not easy. Overall she is a great teacher.

She is extremely helpful, not too boring and she utilize's Windows Journal for lecture. The white board is used minimally and the notes are uploaded to i-campus. My only complaint was that she seemed too helpful to lazy students, covering the same thing multiple times, causing us to get a bit behind. Only a 6wk course though, so that can happen.

She is very helpful, attendance is mandotary if you dont show up she does take off points but in general the class is easy, whatever homework she assigns thats exactly whats going to be on the test therefore tests are easy. I would definitely recommend her

I took one of her math classes online & I hated it. However I just took a summer class with her it was 24 days only & I passed with a 81.1%! I wouldnt take her online class again. But honestly she is so nice and helpful I'd take her in person. I can't imagine how great it would be to take her for a full regular course. I definitely recommend her!

I took her for a summer math 094 and while it is a lot of material to cover, she made it all easy to understand. Even though she is a tough grader, she's explains why she marked you off. I passed her class with a 96% and missed one day in the 6 weeks.

Took math 098 over the summer, and she was amazing! I don't think I would have passed if I had a different teacher. She is very patient and she wants everyone to understand the material. Tests are tough, but as long as you do the homework and ask for help if you don't understand, you will do fine. Definitely one of my favorite teachers at JJC!

great professor! would recommend to anyone especially if you are struggling in math. she explains everything clearly and will answer any questions. the homework is optional but it can boost your grade. expect a test every other week. and she also uses every minute of the class so don't expect to be let out early

Amazing teacher, answers questions on homework at the beginning of every class. Goes through the notes clearly, and puts them online. Have the book and don't skip class on review days.

Professor Katula has put together a fantastic online course. She has lots of extra videos and specifies what is need on the tests - so watch those! She grades the tests and offers more points for proper work - but will also deduct points if you miss work. She responds promptly to all emails. Very personable. Very clear.

Just about every week you receive 3-5 sections to watch videos on and receive homework for. The class is very very time consuming and not easy, but she is helpful and you have a lot of tools to understand the material. It is difficult, but you can still get an A in this class.

she lets u turn in the homework on the day of the test. u can get up to 100% on the homework if u choose to re-do the questions u got wrong. all of the homework,quizzes, and tests are online. u get graded instantly. shes very helpful and sweet. her voice is too soft and u can fall asleep from it. she makes math more understandable.

Pretty good experience with finite mathematics overall. If you work full time though, you probably won't have enough time to do all of the assigned homework. She's pretty tough on all of the grading and doesn't really give partial credit, so study hard. She explains problems thoroughly and leaves room for questions though.

Prof Katula was excellent. She's always willing to help, so utilize it. She makes math easy to understand. There's a LOT of homework, but it's so helpful on the test because you really understand the material. I found the homework was a bit harder than tests, so if you get the homework you'll do well.

Really nice Prof. She explains everything and makes herself available if needed. I emailed her at 11pm and she replied by 4am! weekly hw assignments, bi weekly test, and weekly quiz, drops worst test and replaces it w/the % you received on final. Very quick to email back tests, with feedback provided. Offers partial credit- great teacher!

she's very respectful and caring. She loves to help after or before class. Speaks slow and goes step by step for you to understand problems.

Amazing professor. I'm not good at math but she makes the material really easy to understand. She does drop your worst test score and replaces it with the % you received on the final. Test and quizzes are consistent but easy. I usually just looked over the material once to prepare and passed the test/quiz with an A. Would 100% recommend her.

U do all the work on ur own gives good feedback, lots of homework, as long as u do homework & watch the videos you'll get it. Quiz weekly, my math lab, & test every 2 weeks, she'll drop ur worst test % & replace w/ final %Tests require u to write the steps u took. Only downside does not allow scratch paper for test which to me is a must in math.

Would take again, very nice but pretty much you teach yourself, gives good feed bad, and partial credit depending on your work.

Professor makes learning the content easy, posts notes for online access should you miss a class, that being said make sure you actually attend otherwise you'll get lost on something, my only gripe is she grades like a high school teacher for accuracy (at least in general Education Math 127)

Professor Katula is a great professor. You're only graded by homework, tests, and the final. She will drop your lowest test score if you do better on your final, than on your lowest test. Come to class, as missing one day can turn your A on the test, to an automatic B. She will always be able to help you out. Material is a bit tough. Good luck!

She was really nice. She grades very fairly, has flexibility in her office hours, and allows a 24 hour extension on homework assignments without penalty.

Dont listen to the people badrapping Katula on the online course. That is not how you learn math. Shes a fantastic professor. Now, you will earn your grade in that class. No quizzes, no extra credit, no reviews worth points. 5 chapter tests and optional homework each chapter, and its a good amount of homework, too. Katula knows how to TEACH.

Her online class was laid out with perfect instructions. She even gave you the opportunity to work ahead which was great if you wanted to work at a faster pace to get it over with. The class was online but donna sent out weekly emails reminding people of due dates. This class is a super easy A if you just keep up with the work.

Mrs. Katula is AMAZING. if you're terrible at math like i was, TAKE THIS CLASS. she is one of the best math teachers in the world. she explains everything, always have review days before tests and quizzes, is ALWAYS offering help outside class, makes all her explanations to her math CLEAR, just amazing. shes so sweet too. always willing to help.

Don't listen to people bad mouthing Katula about the homework. I took the same exact class in high school, with a terrible teacher, and she gave me the same amount of homework that Katula does. its just the class in general. of you want to do good on the tests and quizzes do your homework. shes an amazing teacher so youll actually understand the hw

She is a lovely teacher, actually pay attention in class and do your homework and there's not really a reason that you shouldn't walk away with at least a B. She drops your lowest exam grade if it's lower than the final, she gives you plenty of chances to succeed.

The course itself was a nightmare and if you are terrible at math.. do not take this online! The math lab program was a pain to navigate! However, Professor Katula was very caring and wants her students to succeed! She even reached out personally to show her concerns! She includes a schedule of times shes available outside of class in the syllabus

Donna is honestly one of the best math professors Ive had! Her lectures were always really helpful and she was good at communicating the information. I felt she was a tough grader at times, Id get points taken off for silly things. Shes really nice and understanding. Definitely recommend!!!

Prof Katula was super nice and helpful. She explains things very well and makes sure that the whole class is understanding each concept before moving on.

I seriously underrated this professor. While she is a tough grader, she truly cares about you learning the material & knowing it. With that being said, she puts 80% of your grade on tests so if you suck at taking tests find a different teacher. She also reminds you of due dates for homework.

Tough class but the professor was super responsive to emails and willing to help. Online coursework but her online lectures were great and easy to follow. The math was hard but doing the lectures and the homework completely will set you up very well for the exams.

She was an amazing teacher. She will go out of her way to make sure you understand the material. She always reviews quizzes and creates a schedule for students so they stay on time with turning in assignments. Zero complaints about her as a teacher!

She is a very nice professor who is always willing to help you understand the work even outside of class. The homework assignments took a long time, and she is a tough grader. The tests were hard too. But if you listen to what she says in class you can pass easily.

Really enjoyed her class! Lectures are clear, with a helpful note taking guide to go along with each of her lectures. She does grade tests on the work shown, but you'll be fine if you follow the lectures. The expectations for written work are given clearly. She's very quick and responsive to emails, and is overall just very nice.

Professor Katula made this the easiest online math course. Her lecture videos were recorded by her which was super helpful rather than the MyMathLab people. Even though I took this class online, she was super caring and met me with during office hours to help me out. I highly recommend her!

Great professor. She is retiring but wanted to still leave a review. I dropped this class online but was able to pass this semester by going in twice weekly. Very sweet woman who takes the time to make sure everyone in class understands the material. Homework was optional and she drops lowest exam. No complaints, wouldn't have passed without her.

Professor Katula is a great professor to take for an online course. She was a great teacher who provided feedback on questions I had throughout the course and was great at reminding students when assignments and tests were due. I am not the brightest in math but her class was easy to get through with the help of tutoring.
