Makes learning stressful. Penalizes students for handing in homework if incorrect as opposed to showing them what they need to work on. If you have a question, her answer is, "It's in your notes." If you miss something during class you're S.O
Not clear on things and "yes " she takes points off for late homework. A lot of group work but everyone is confused. Hardly ever lectures and she wants you to learn from each other. Try someone else.
Very good; explains very well.Must do homework.
She is horrible. Takes off points for not having a staple, or a little rip...etc. A lot of people fail. She blabbers on and you WILL LEARN NOTHING. Everyone is confused and you will aways fear what grade u might get. STAY AWAY
COMPLETELY lacks any form of respect for her students. Treats them like a nuisance rather than someone who is there to learn. Ridiculous grading system and stupid "group works". AVOID!!
She is very tough and will not tolarate, so if you are not good at this class do not take her any of class.
Is very moody and is very rude to students. At the begining of the semester my class had 35 students, by the midterm there were only 23 and ALL 23 of us were in the tutoring center getting help cause she would never help us...She ONLY helped an adult student who was her age and a complete suck up...
a very bad prof!! very very very bad i tell ya!! dont pick her.
I took her class over a year ago. It was one of my last classes before graduation. I wasn't a computer science major and just took the class because I thought it would be interesting, however,it turned out to be my nightmare. She gave me a D. Don't take her class unless you are serious.

Not Helpful, one of the worst professors in history. And she takes off points if homework is not done right.
HORRIBLE,H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E teacher!I have 1 word for you-tenure. She is the teacher that tenure horror stories are told about, referring to the lack of concern for students, has a nasty, almost BITTER attitude towards students, and has ridiculous grading policies. Don't dare ask a "stupid" question of her either. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!!
Expects alot and isn't helpful. Tests and quizzes are intense. I recommend you brush up on your algebra skills before taking this class because she WILL NOT help you and will recommend picking up an MAT035 book or the turtoring center.
She is the WORST professor i've ever had!! She just talks 2 u like ur supposed 2 kno what she's talking about and she's not AT ALL helpfull. She doesn't care about her students. don't take her unless ur serious about this class!!
A very good teacher! Explains well, always gives examples and shows how to do problems.I recommend her to everyone.
I could not understand her at all!!!
she is the best professor
For me, she was a pretty good teacher for elem. stat. She writes notes on the board and the tests/quizzes are based on these notes, so you don't need to buy the textbook. Attendance is key in this class. Math is challenging for most people, so make sure to understand the material from the start. If you need help ask the students who are doing well.
The worst professor in my life. Wanna know why? Ok its simple. SHE DOESNT TEACH!!! She is very subjective not very objective. If she doesnt like you answer that day, its wrong. Its almost like she wants you to fail. I swear she marked things wrong when they were right. She is a angry women with problems she takes out on her students.
She was absent a lot during the semster, and due to this the last 3 classes she taught us something new which cause many people including myself to get confused.. as the person said below me.. she is not a great teacher.. and goes veryyy quickly its a hard course to begin with.. she does not make it any easier.. however, she never used the text
COME ON~~ IF YOU DO YOUR BEST, SHE WILL HELP YOU. I WAS ONE OF HER STUDENT WHO DIDNT KNOW ABOUT C++, BUT JUST BE DILIGENT!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK REGULARLY.AND SHE ANSWERS NICELY AS LONG AS YOU BE NICE TO HER!
Never have I met such a non-objective grader in my learning career. She takes points off of assignments very liberally. You are allowed almost no freedom in your code. If it's not 100% to her specification (down to the comments), you're not getting full marks. Do your best to avoid this professor.
Great teacher, explains the new material in details, gives a lot of handouts (don't buy a book). Just do your homework (write it nicely) and you can earn extra credit. The problems on the exams are same from homework and class work. Not hard at all if you follow and dont miss classes. My favourite professor! A+++++
i think she was great for me, i ended up with a well deserved A. just work hard, study, make friends so they can help u when stuck. i loved her class if u love computers u'll love this. i had no knowledge about the material before this class, so it was a challenge. tests are a lil hard but if u study u'll do great. make sure to hand in ALL projects

she is really not that bad..take notes on everything she does..gives reviews for the tests/quizzes..she makes sure that u r totally prepared..its really an interesting class & u learn a great deal from her!..group works were a little iffy lol..all in all great teacher but dont by the book!..u dont need it just take notes!!
Good Advice, don't take her class!!!
Just take notes and do the homework and it's impossible to do poorly in her class. She is willing to help out, you just have to ask. Attendance is mandatory to get a good grade.
A completely horrible teacher. Very rude and completely disrespectful. Chastised a lady for leaving to use the bathroom and then "daring" to return to class. She will take off more than a questions worth for incorrectness and then rebuff you when you complain. She cannot teach at all and will not answer questions. Avoid her or fail
she is a very good teacher. she just gives out hard tests. be careful with the wording. its not the smartest thing to take her for stats in the summer. this is a subject to take for a regular semester. if you are going to take in the summer do not take it with her. VERY HARD in the summer.
She is falling all of the students. At list 5 people from last class are repeting that. She like to give papers and want students to study them. She take off points for almost everything even for one little spac. Also the program Turbo C++ is dinozaur and nobody should use it in school. SSij.
She is one of the most helpful teachers in BCC! She goes over the material in great detail, clarifies it and makes statistics crystal clear. She gives knowledge that is very useful for other courses. If you do homework and follow class work its an easy A. Her handouts are superb. I wish BCC had more teachers like her.
her wording is TERRIBLE on hw and tests. never opened the textbook, gives her own handouts. does not try to keep the entire class at the same level. most students were in danger of failing the semester. must attend class to know whats going on. would not take her again.
Horrible. Simply put. She went far too fast, most of my class was as lost as I was. Asking her questions were done in vain, she just liked to give a rude response that didn't help at all. Never even looked at the text book, just handouts. Tests were a nightmare unto themselves. This class is a waste. Kudos to those who pass/ed her though. Good Luck
She is a great teacher! Goes over the material in a good detail, clarifies everything and answers any question you can have about the material. Listen to her, do the homework, and show up. Study the handouts (no textbook necessary) and problems from class if you want to pass tests (3 of them). I also liked her sense of humor:).
She is very hard. Barly peple understand what she is trying to explain. She does one case study and just give same problem homework.even she grade our homework and most of the time people loose thier grade at that point. She donest use book at all. I paid $70 for book but i never even opened it cozshe prefer her own notes.Do not take her
Terrible teacher. If you ask a question its not answered. Doesnt give reviews for tests. Tests are HARD and worded different than the way you are taught. Dont take her!
I took her C++ Programming I in Fall 2008. She is a good teacher. Programs are easy to do. Not sure if she still teaches the course, but if she does TAKE HER!
WORST PROF. EVER, SHE DOESNT EXPLAIN ANYTHING, SHE JUST TALKS AND TALKS...she works in BCC but she thinks shes teaching in Harvard. she grades the HW and her Test are supper Hard. Please dont take her, more than 2/3 of the class dropped the class after the 1st test. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!
Please do not listen to the horrible comments. I took her over the summer- obviously the class will be more challenging b/c its 6 wks straight. If you GO TO CLASS, pay attention, take notes, and DO THE HW, you will pass this class. Challenging, but I learned a lot from her. I am usually a C student in math and i got an A.
she is very straight forward. she is a hard grader, if u have the right answer and the set up is wrong u get it WRONG but she explains things very clearly and goes over them repeatedly. if you study.. alot you will do fine
As long as you came to class, paid attention, took notes, did the homework, and read the few pages she assigned you couldn't even try and fail the class. Negatives: her way or the highway, a little demeaning, and grading policy. If you don't have an A exam average but your homework grades boost your overall grade up to an A, you still can't have it
she's a nice and respectful woman but not for teaching because she doesn't explain things well.
Nice lady, but a boring class. The course is so easy, I felt like I was in a sped class. Despite strict rules against cellphones and class interruptions, she's a really nice professor. She's a harsh grader but the course is so easy... It's pretty much adding/division/subtraction and that's it.
her classes r staright up boring...shes a kind person n all but da way she teaches u is horrible...p.s shes very demanding...she took 3 pts pts off an hw assignment because it was not stapled......DO NOT TAKE HER
I took MAt 130 with her. That course is not hard at all but if u take a course with her she mill make it impossible b/c she wants her students to fail. She is so nasty. She will not help her students. DO YOUR BEST TO AVOID HER. repeating that class right now and i have at least a B without putting in much effort.
Do not take her ! Her class is so hard. Everything looks easy ,but on the test she is giving much harder examples !!!
SHE IS THE BEST, BUT YOU NEED TO E A R N THE GRADE!!! IF YOU DON'T WANNA STUDY AVOID HER.
SHE IS VERY GOOD, KIND AND WILLING TO HELP A LOT TO PEOPLE THAT WILLING TO PUT THE EFFORT IN STUDY....
Not bad at all. She will take off points for anything, but be careful and that isn't an issue. Outlines are provided before tests, so there are no surprises, though don't expect them to be easy. Lectures are easy to understand (just don't miss any or risk falling behind). There is little participation, but the group work and homework is easy.
Super nice professor. She explains everything clearly the first go around, and her exams are never harder than the homework. Show up and listen carefully. You HAVE to know the terminology. If she puts something on the board, make sure you know what every step or process is called. Really friendly woman outside of the classroom as well.
The worst professor I've ever had! Do not take her! She is nice as a person but horrible as a professor. She would explain things and I seem to understand the work but she words them differently on tests, causing students to fail. Also, the group work was bad because if one student gets an F on the assignment, the whole group fails! And she takes o
A nightmare.
prof. lukaszewski is great! idk what anybody else is talking about. i was exempt from her final, due to the fact that i came to class regularly, had neat homework, and did good on her tests. Just make sure you do your homework NEAT and also she provides a lot of extra credit on tests. Take her shes good!
She is really nice as a person, but her grading system makes no sense & she takes off hw points for ANY erasure marks or minor cross outs. Her tests are hard & she has a definition list thats worth 40 pts, so even if your applied work is all correct and your definitions aren't, you just failed. She makes stats harder than it needs to be. i

She is very clear on what she says if you ask question she helps , its just the class is hard Stats is not easy but study your notes and all outline she gives you dont miss no class you should pass with minimum D loved her class though me She love me and Derek we brought smiles to her face..
Statistics is one of those classes that you must put effort into and have to hope it "clicks" for you. If you have both going for you, this is a fine statistics class. Review sheets are given, some extra credit is given, and things are covered adequately. Recommended.
Very difficult. Only 3 exams. 2 quizzes and minimal homework. If you're looking for a professor that will give GOOD examples of how to do problems, this is not the one. Even the tutors have difficulty helping you with the work she assigns.
Statistics is hard to begin with. She has to be the worst prof I have ever had as far as providing good examples and exams. She takes points off for everything! She expects everyone to fully understand what she teaching the first time and has no patience with her students unless you older.
THIS WAS THE WORST TEACHER IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! I WENT TO TUTORORING ALL THE TIME DID ALL MY HOME AND STILL FAILED.. HORRIBLE SHE MAKE N SENSE WHEN SHE SPEAKS JUST REALLY BAD PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND DO NOT TAKE THIS LADY!!!
No nonsense teacher.Attendance is a must. Does not explain concepts enough. Leaves you to figure out when you have no frame of reference. Makes the learning harder than it should be for this elective class. Is abrupt if you ask questions after class if you don't get something. Unless you are a logic wiz you are going to work very hard to get an A.
I had her in contemporary math..when i asked her a question she usually says "dont look into it too much" or "it is what it is" She doesnt really explain problems to you..when i taught myself and/or went to tutoring it was much easier..if you want to pass the class you have to be willing to teach yourself or go to tutoring..but she is a nice person
Show up to class, pay attention, do the homework neatly. She teaches the information TWICE. Teaches in one class, reviews the next. There is no way to go wrong. Show up, pay attention. She is willing to help you and is a kind lady! Extra credit on tests too. I am really awful at math but I did very well in this class!
Not your normal math class. It's logic and truth tables. Teacher is ok. Need the textbook. Assigns homework 90% of the time. She assigns in class group works. There is only 3 tests and the final and she is very strict on her tests. No retakes and you must follow her directions as to what she wants. Hard class. I managed to get a B.
misery. material would be easy if she taught well. you watch her do examples on the board for the entirety of class and only does each thing once then expects you to know it for the homework and grades it strictly!! test questions are much more complex than class examples. practically brushes you off when asking for help. no phones or coffee, why
I am a math major and the material was easy for me to understand on my own, but she is, by far, the WORST teacher I have ever had in my life. She doesn't answer questions straightforwardly, she doesn't explain concepts well, and she doesn't know how to teach. She's a nice person, but she shouldn't be a teacher. Talking slow =/= explaining well.
Nice lady, horrible teacher. "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough" was honestly ringing through my head the entire semester. I learned more from my classmates than her. Her strict rules are nonsense.
I appreciate that she is eager to help, but she doesn't notice when the class isn't following. I wish she would explain things differently when it's complicated instead of repeating the same sentence a few times over. The group work was a great way to catch up, but I wish I was able to understand the information just through the lecture.
First of all, you can probably get by without buying the book. In this class, she works strictly from handouts. You are given a formula sheet for exams, but be forewarned, not every formula is provided. You are given the base formulas and must either derive or memorize the others (Pro Tip: just memorize them). Exams closely resemble assigned work.
not sure how i got an F
She is a good teacher in the sense that she wants you to understand mathematical concepts; HOWEVER what she says and how she grades is COMPLETELY different. You can understand statistical concepts yet she grades based on neatness, presentation and the explicit details rather than the correct answer and whether you grasp the concept. SHE'S TERRIBLE.
Terrible. She says she wants you to understand the concepts, yet grades you on neatness and the explicit details rather than the correct answer. Take her if you're a methodical person with a firm grasp on stats already. No not otherwise.
SHE IS THE WORST ! SHE SEEMS REALLY NICE AT FIRST AND THEN .. NOT SO MUCH. PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING WITH HER. TAKES POINTS OFF FOR NO REASON. AVOID ALL TOGETHER!
Wish I had checked ratemyprofessor before taking her class. Everyone in our Stats class is confused. EVERYONE! I am someone who is generally good at math but her lessons explain nothing, honestly I can't follow the way she teaches and can only hope to barely pass. OH YEAH, she takes off points for just about everything. She almost wants to fail us.
If you're not good at math do not take this class. It is challenging and she teaches a particular way. Not extremely hard to follow, but presentation is key on homework. Must be a neat person and able to remain organized with all of the handouts she gives.
HORRRIBLEEE WORST! SHE LEAVES YOU TO FAILLLL!
I detest math but with some effort I got A in stat I.She is GREAT, goes over the concepts slowly and clearly, repeats the last ones at start of new class so u get it.Write neatly on exams n hw n u will get 100.Plenty chances for extra credit from groupwork!gives out handouts, no need for txtbk. plenty of lazy ppl in my class. DONT LISTEN TO NEG REV
I took her class in the summer but couldn't keep up with her. She seems to make easy things alot longer.
She makes many mistakes in calculations, packs her exams with the hardest questions and takes points off unreasonably. She seems to need to write everything down in order to remember. She makes simple concepts confusing and a confusing concept the entire whiteboard long. She has ridiculous rules like refusing to follow an arrow in a step problem.
Shouldn't be a teacher, she just isn't good at it. The negative feedback is SO on point. I've had straight A's the last two semesters except for in her class. I would try to communicate with her and get help but she made it virtually impossible. Math has always been my best subject. I've had straight A's since high school in math without trying tsk
a good and tough prof ... simply .. its math you have to practice for it plus she is very clear but you have to work
dr. lukaszewski is a sweet lady and cares and respects her students but she is by far one of the worst professors ive ever had. she is unclear in class, lectures and boring and tedious. i could not understand stats the way she taught it , i had to drop the class because i had a 38. i had straight a's and b's in my last 3 math courses in college btw
the worst teacher i've had in my life. im a straight A student but I got a C in her class although i worked my ass off. she does not help with anything. when asking her a question she would respond with something like "thats just the way it is". she takes off points every chance she can. half the class failed. nice lady but DONT TAKE!
Seems like a very nice woman, but her class was overly difficult. She made frequent mistakes on the problems she demonstrated on the board & she was often absent. Her grading policy on homework was ludicrous, taking off 'style' points if she thought your work wasn't neat enough. She was not an effective teacher.i had a 3.8 before her class. AVOID!
She is nice lady but easy things she makes soo difficult . Easy thins she makes too long and she explains like to children. But the most difikult things she explains " this is the way "
Professor Lukaszewski is a efficient, fair, caring, flexible and professional person. She is always clear when lecturing. Professor Lukaszewki seems to grades homeworks and exams for neatness and styles. She is so willing to give extra credits on exams and include group work as well. Professor Lukaszewsk seems to give her students a grade report.
I have never had this much trouble with math. She took off points because i crossed out an answer. This should tell you what kind of professor she is. Gives almost no partial credit. Take her if you want to struggle in math. Im one of the few lucky winners in my class that received a B, thats because half of the students had to drop.
lectures are confusing. claims to want to help you but once you email her for class she tells you she went over it in lecture and gives no help. Claims to be so caring and helpful then show otherwise when a student reaches out for help. do not recommend.
I thought she gave a lot of opportunities for students to raise their grades with group works and graded homework. Her lectures were pretty clear but if you missed a class, you will be confused for the next few classes. I think she really cares about her students and wants us to do well.
She teaches too fast, being a basic math course she says we should already know everything. She is a good person but shouldn't teach math.
Normally, math class is an overall easy class for me. Go to class, pay attention, take notes, ask questions, do the work, and I'll pass with at least a B. Not this time. In this class, if you don't understand it, you won't get it. She doesn't answer questions and often teaches material not related to the class. I don't recommend her.
Don't bring coffee to the class walk behind her not in front of her don't be late put your phone away don't sleep during class folks :)))))) Donna lukaszewski
I have an student visa and if I had to chose between losing it or making her class again I'd lose it!
She's a tough grader but also a nice person. It's impossible to teach a 700+ page book in one semester, so make sure you study the topics voluntarily. Hand in every homework, do extra credits, attend to every class, and study the cumulative review sheet from the Math Walk-in Center for the final.
Her way of teaching is very sloppy. She uses random examples that she creates, and are significantly simpler than the questions she posts on her tests. She does occasional group works which makes the class more bearable. Very tough grader. I used to average nothing less than B+ in my math courses, with her I barely have a C.
poor teacher, don't take her. she doesn't go with book, jumps all over the place, cant answer simple questions.
Uses random examples that she just makes up. These examples are nothing compared to the problems on the exams, which take up 85% of your grade. Terrible at giving you help, usually just tells you to figure it out on your own at home. Awful teacher, nice person, but awful teacher.
You'll end up doubting yourself after taking her class. Her method of teaching is one size fits all. She does not bend or try to accommodate different levels of understanding. She requires to purchase the textbook but not once used in class and gives handouts of problems to practice instead. Strict classroom policy enforcer. A rocket scientist.
Terrible. Unspecific, vague and cloying. Shes a terrible woman and shouldnt be teaching as he goal isnt to educate.
Worst teacher I ever had. Get's a joy out of failing kids and teaches beyond the course level. I'm mad BCC would subject students to a teacher like this
She pretends to care, even if you know what she is teaching she confuses you and herself. She makes at least 2 mistakes every class. At the start of The semester the class had over 30 students by the end their were only 15 and half failing
She's a good teacher, she explains very well and understanding. The only problem is she is very strict at scoring your paper. She make difficult exams and too much pressure.
Appears kind and caring at first but do not let it deceive you. She is not one to go the extra mile. I strongly advise that you choose a different professor.
She is not as bad as people wrote about her. Her homework is very easy. Tests are a little tricky and heavy. You just have to revise whatever she does in class and you will be fine
She is not a good professor, I advise you to switch out of her class ASAP!!!! Her tests are pretty difficult and she is one of the toughest graders I have ever seen. Her teaching methods aren't the best (you can definitely find a better professor). Don't waste your money or your time taking this class with her.
Never take her, the class is not even difficult but she makes it so difficult that you are unaware of what's she teaching. If you ask a question, she makes u feel stupid and just continues her work and she is very fast when teaching
Dont take her. Confusing. Her penmanship is difficult to understand. She makes things complicated. If you wanna take her, rely on stock knowledge, tutor, or watch videos.
I do not recommend this professor for MAT-160. She does not take the time to lecture to the class, instead of handed out paper notes and assigned us to read them with no lecture what so ever. When she did chose to lecture, it was to the point but would confuse us by using future concepts as examples. Sarcastic when asking questions to her.
This teacher did not care for their students at all for Mat-160. She didn't teach at all. She posted videos and assigned homework that was never graded. When she sent the answer sheet on moodle, it was impossible to understand her writing. 3 tests and 1 final. She will not post your grade until it's too late.
Professor L. is very straight forward with what she wants. Exams are difficult but if you're good at algebra, you'll pass or else you have to end up teaching yourself! Homework assignments aren't graded but it definitely benefits you doing it in order to learn the subject. 4 exams are graded along with confirmation emails that count as attendance.
Does not teach, gives dead links as the resources. Gives no graded work; dependent on tests alone. Instead you send "confirmation emails" every week. Does not respond to emails. Makes you calculate your own grade average if you'd like to see it. Stingy on math notation.
