very good teacher. explains things very well and always opened for questions. always willing to work out a time to meet for help. gives lots of quizzes but if you do the homework youll do fine. ill be taking her again in the spring! for mac 1105

This Teacher is the best math teacher at TCC. She is an old school teacher thats uses every inch of her chalk board to get you to learn it. When she takes off her shoes, you know she's ready to throw down and teach. She gives quizzes almost every time. And her teaching method is the best. I really enjoyed her class,, great and helpful teacher.. she gives extra credit and replacement quizzes to help you get an A. Also around test and exam times she host 2 or 3 day tutor sessions for students.I am taking her for MAC 1105 because she is very understandable. hint: she gives extra credit when you do boardwork in class and ask question

Excellent professor, especially for students who have been out of school for a while. Same as with most classes. If you show and do the homework, you will do fine. She always makes herself available for 1 on 1 if you ask for it. I will be taking MAC1105 with her this summer.

She is a great teacher! She gives multiple oppurtunies to make higher grades on your quizes and you have unlimited tries on your homeworks. There is no reason why you should not atleast get a B in the class, it was an easy A for me.

She makes everything easy and gives easy quizzes to those that actually show up to class for extra credit. She is very organized and humorous as well! This teacher is amazing!If u miss a quiz, she gives replacement quizzes that have questions like 1+1 on em or what day is a test. I took this class before with another teacher and I had to drop it but there was no way i'd drop this lady's class. Its super easy and all you have to do is do the online homework, the 3 tests and a couple of quizzes!!!

she is a really great teacher. i got an A in her class. i took her express term so we had to learn alot in one day. she lets you ask question during the test. she hold study sessions on weekends. and she would stay after class for any questions. just do the online home work cause it makes a big difference. highly recommend her.

Ms. Massey is an AWESOME teacher. She's willing to help out everyone and she's super nice. I strongly recommend her. Textbook is online. All homework is online and you can retake all online quizzes and homework's till you get 100%. She gives 3 tests and it's based on the practice test she gives you with answers. Final exam is cumulative.

Ms. Massey was an excellent teacher! Very helpful, explains math clearly and gives extra credit. I did very well in the class and math is not my strongest subject. Make sure you do the online homework. Also, she gives replacement quizzes occasionally which helps out a lot too. Just don't be rude and talk while she's trying to teach.

Ms. Massey is one of the best, most caring professors I've met at TCC. She works her hardest just to make sure passing is simple and intuitive for her students. She makes a lot of brief jokes in class, so if you don't have a sense of humor it's probably best not to take her. Quizzes once/week at least, no formulas on tests, but tons of bonus points all around. She illustrates graphs extremely well and she focuses on the visual and spatial aspects of algebra, making the material more memorable. I wish she taught higher level math...

Ms. Massey is a God-sent. She cares so much about her students and goes OUT OF HER WAY to make sure they understand the material. She gives a lot of replacement quizzes & chances for bonus points on tests, so your chances of failing are slim. She always welcomes questions and makes herself available to everyone. She's such a great teacher take her!

It's easy to get behind if you miss even 1 day. If you attend, and do the homework, the class is easy to get an A in. She gives lots of chances to bring your grade up with all of the quizzes she gives. Many of them are replacement quizzes. She's a great teacher.

One of the best professors at TCC. She is amazing and will help you if you are willing to help yourself. If you don't show up to class you are really screwing yourself. It's easy to fall behind though. Do your work and show up ready to work and u should get a B at the MINIMUM.

Took Ms Massey in an express session during summer. She was very helpful in explaining anything you did not understand but you have to be willing to speak up. Don't fall behind on homework since its a BIG part of your grade and always come to class and stay until the end (you never know when she will give those unexpected bonuses)

Professor Massey is a great professor. She gives you a lot of practice in class. And its mandatory to do your online homework and quizzes. Those are easy A's For those who hate math, you would need to do to class. She gives help on the weekend close to test and she makes class fun. And she will explain in great detail to make sure u understand.

Massey does not take attendance but if you don't go you will mis quizzes. She is very helpful if you ask and does a great job going over problems. Prepares you very well for all tests and makes the class very simple.

Had to take College Algebra again and Im so glad I picked her. If you suck at math and have a hard time understanding it TAKE her. She is very easy to understand and if you dont she is always willing to help out! She provides study sessions on weekends and the study guide is pretty much the test.

Ms. Massey is an AWESOME professor! I had to retake MAC1105 after withdrawing the first time with an F. I passed Ms. Massey's class with an A+! She helps you understand the work even if you have never understood math before. She has weekend sessions before tests and also gives you old tests as the reviews for coming up tests! TAKE HER!!

GREAT TEACHER. Certainly will make the material crystal clear, very helpful with preparing her students for the tests!!! I would recommend her to anyone if you fail her class, you weren't pro-active with studying the material.

Genuinely a good teacher. She cares and gives countless possibilities to get help. She will provide you with stacks of different study guides, and just the right amount of work. Attendance is not mandatory; however, I did miss several days and had to catch up. She was honestly more understanding about it that I would have been on myself.

I have been out of school for 14 years. MAC 1105 was intimidating to me, Professor Massey was a huge help to me. She explains all material, lets you know how the class will be taught and is extremely helpful to those who have questions, by far one the best math teachers that I have had.

I LOVE HER. She's such a nice person, and she's very clear and helpful. You can tell she really cares about her students. Definitely go to class because she gives out random quizzes, but sometimes they're so easy (like 2+2=4) or you just put your name on it, and she gives you full credit. TAKE HER. SHE'S AWESOME.

I took the class last year and we had to use Pearson's mymathlab. The book was on there but we never had to use it. Ms. Massey is a great teacher and you won't regret taking her.

She is very clear and super patient with you if you need any help. I never had to study much for her tests because of how thorough she was in class. No textbook&no final. Gives you option to retake test.

Ms. Massey is an all around great teacher. She is knowledgeable, very helpful and accessible, is approachable and extremely friendly, and expects from her students what she gives as a teacher. There is no final, just a retest for any test you want to improve on. Just show up to class. She gives easy surprise quizzes as rewards.

While Donna Massey might be a good teacher to some, I found her class to be painstakingly boring. I could literally not bear to be in her class, the lectures are dull and the material is even duller.

I am horrible in math yet received an A in college alg! I went to class every single day because of notes and the random extra credit quizzes. There's a good bit of homework but it counts as a quiz grade, its an easy A, and it helps you understand the problems you'll be seeing come test day. You have to work for your grade but she helps big time!!

Super sweet, funny lady. She teaches just like Salak, uses all of his material. There is a bunch of online homework!!! She has two review days before the test where she goes over everything you need to know! She answers every question and doesn't make you feel dumb.

Donna Massey is fantastic! She is very caring about her students. If you ask, she'll offer Saturday help sessions before a test. I've learned a lot from her. Also, she gives VERY easy pop quizzes.

The text is online and a must. Professor Massey will help you succeed if you put in the time. She goes above and beyond the call of duty regularly. She is a super nice person and a treat to learn from. I am not a math person, historically, but Indid very well in her class. Take her if you can.

She is the most wonderful math teacher I've ever had the pleasure to have. I've never enjoyed math and have had a bad experience and overall found it boring but she changes that. Notes were in the mymathlab, and she taught from the notes. she explained things when needed, and overall was just as awesome as the reviews. i would love to take her again.

She is an amazing teacher! She will be there for you if you need help with anything you don't understand. There are specific instructions on how she grades and there are bonus points included. Homework is all online, very simple and not much if you don't procrastinate. If you study the Test Study Guide, you WILL pass the test, Very similar to Test.

Professor Massey was extremely helpful with college algebra. I struggle with math and attended her office hours daily because the lectures moved fast. She helped me every step of the way in this class. The homework is definitely important and a large part of your grade. Tests aren't bad if you study and the final is straight from the review guide.

Professor Massey was the best math teacher I have ever had. This was the first time I truly understood math thanks to her. She is always willing to work with you and answer any questions you have. There is a lot of homework assigned but you have plenty of time to complete it. 10/10 would recommend.

You are only graded by a few tests and the homework in this class; so its important to do good on her tests. It was probably easier for me because I have learned all the material before, but if I had a question on the homework she would always email back very quickly. The homework can be a little excessive and take a while.

This class was an easy A. Mrs Massey made the class extremely easy, print out the notes that she gives you because she goes over each page as her lectures. Her review sheets for tests help a lot for the actual test itself, and she really wants you to do well meaning she will work with you.

In the beginning she seemed like she was so hard but really she's not. She gives you all the notes and study guides to help you study for the tests. She literally gave out pop quizzes with questions like "2+4?" If you do the work you'll pass.

Honestly, she's a great professor you literally have to pass her tests that's it which are just like her reviews. The homework is 10X's harder than her actual test and it's just solo much and barely effects your grade. I passed with a 97 by just passing her tests, I barely did any homework. She's amazing:)

If you're looking for an easy way out, you won't like Ms. Massey. But if you actually care about learning, Ms. Massey is an AMAZING teacher. She's a tough grader, but really cares about her students so if you study and ask questions when you don't understand, you will get a very good grade. She offers lots of extra credit. Best professor ever!! There were 4 units cover and there was 1 test and a few homework assignments for each. For the homework and had 100 tries for each problem. The teacher was very understanding and gave SOOO MANYYY extra credit opportunities. She was always ready to help when I needed help with an assignment. A++ RATING FROM ME!

She has very few graded assignments but she makes up for it with her easy explaining. If you get stuck she will go back to the specific question and she will do it in class. She treats her classes like group work, she waits for people to ask questions so she can help you! She was also EXTREMELY accessible outside of class, she was ALWAYS available!

She uses Lumen, not Canvas so that would be my only complaint. She cares about her student's grades and is always willing to help if you ask. I had her for zoom and I loved it. She's the first math teacher I've had where I wasn't struggling 24/7. Her way of teaching made it easy to understand.

Great professor! You can tell she cares about her student's success. There are 4 tests and each is worth 22% of your grade, but there's an alternate grading scale if you're not a good test taker. She also allows test retakes as well. I hate math but this class is not hard.

There are 4 tests with an opportunity to retake each test, she let us use open notes, and we did a mock test for almost all tests. Homework is online and doesn't always follow the teaching but she helps you if you ask. Wish she was available for all of my math classes.

Professor Massey is an amazing professor. I am usually very bad at math, but she is great at explaining. Is always eager to help you and answer questions if anyone is confused. Tests are open notes, and at the end of the semester you are allowed to re take all 4 of the exams once if you choose to. I'd recommend her to anyone!

Was an amazing teacher, overall great and super helpful. If your not ready to put in the hard work you will not be successful in this class. It is hard but worth it because I now know math very well! Shes also super helpful so work with her if you struggle.

Mrs. Massey is a kind person and she is always open to helping students. There is a bit of homework nothing insane but still a lot. There was 4 tests and they were each worth 20% with one replacement grade with a higher score on the final. Effort matters. I wouldn't recommend this class to FSU pathways students but if you just need a C take it.

Prof. Massey has high expectations, but if you put in the work, it's worth it. The tests are tough, but she's always willing to help. Unstuck AI was a game-changer for my study prep.
