Easiest tests ever... goes over entire test in the class before the test! Classes are very interesting and fun!

It is impossible to fail this class! She talks a lot about her Native American heritage and her glory days in the police acadamy. The final paper was omitted if you learned a Native American dance...E-A-S-Y

Minnich is a pretty great teacher. She honestly cares about her students and gives them respect. Encourages students to think for themselves and will scrap a lesson if she doesn't think her students are getting anything out of it. Asks students for their opinions, really listens to them.

A true human being that cares about the rest of the world...kinda hard to beat!

Her teaching style does make you think and you will learn a lot from this class. However, if you want to learn the basics of Sociology (i.e. the theorists) take someone else because she doesn't teach them.

I really enjoyed this class. It was very interesting. We did not get alot of use out of the books and the bookstore did not buy them back because new editions are coming out. This would be my only complaint.

TAKE HER!! She is such a great crazy teacher. She makes class fun! And her exams are soooo easy...i got an A on both the midterm & final and I looked over the material like 2 hours before the exam. Plus, you will get an A on the research paper if you do it...no matter how good it is! I wish I was a sociology major just so I could have her again!!!

Very exciting teacher and talks about a lot of interesting life lessons. This teacher will make you look at life through different perspectives. Homework assignments and test are easy. Don't be shy though.

Honestly, its a drag to get up early in the morning & pretty much attend every class to keep up. The 1st 1/2 of the semester is hard, but then the 2nd 1/2 of the semester is easy. Lots of busy work -daily HW assignments, 2 tests, & 1 group project. Its worth it for that easy A in the end though. This class required lots of discipline to get through

Do yourself a favor and take this professor! Professor Minnich is extremely fair and genuinely cares about ALL of her students. It helps that the subject matter is interesting too! Take her class if you want a professor who respects you and makes a 7:30 am class enjoyable.

Considering it's a 7:30 class, not bad at all. Don't expect to get an answer when you email her though... she never answers. Tests are hard, but if you study it's fine. Make sure you go to class, because everything on the tests are in notes given during lectures. One research paper, and is graded very easily. Not bad at all!

really easy, interesting prof. it was a mwf class and she decided to not have class on fri all her exams are just the vocab from the class notes SO EASY.

Like the previous poster said, VERY EASY. You can skip class, not buy the book, and just get the notes from someone else and still easily get an A. Tests are fill in the blank (no word bank) straight from the notes she gives in class. This class is a complete joke and I would recommend to anyone trying to get an easy A for their soci gen ed.

GREAT TEACHER! So much fun. tells awesome life stories. Easy class if you get her. I heard other teacher sucks. Do the hw helps your grade a lot. study definitions in textbook for test and you'll get an A. Gives you lots of days off and attendence is not manditory but you should go its a lot of fun. First off, she's loves her caffeine. She is a fun teacher. There are a lot of movies, but make sure not to skip those classes because you'll have questions based on them. Make sure to read the text, just because she doesn't give you specific chapters to read, she expects you to know the stuff. And very approachable if you're having trouble.

honestly i think she just gives everyone an A...i did like half the hw, got a D on the research paper cuz it was short, C on midterm, and probly failed the final but still got an A lmfao...still the classes actually are pretty interesting to go to...take it for an easy A

3 Exams(75%,substituted 1 with a research paper because everyone failed) 2 short assignments(25%) Takes attendance. Dr. Minnich is by far my favorite teacher this semester even though I had a 730am class. She is easy but only if you do the 2 assignments and study for the tests. She makes class enjoyable with her stories. (She also hates this site)

Prof. Minnich made this class fun. Her knowledge is unmatched and her personal stories are the best part of the class. Like any Sociology class if you can listen with an open mind and accept the dissenting opinions, you will learn something. TONS of homework, every class you are expected to turn in questions from chapters in the book.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! I took a 7:30 a.m. class and got up that early just to go to her class. Her stories are the BEST and she is HILARIOUS! I wish she taught all my classes. Just do your homework, research paper, group presentation and take home test and you will get and A. Definitely take her if you can. She is WONDERFUL :)

She is the greatest professor ever (for sociology, that is)! Anyway, she is hilarious and going to class is the highlight of my week! Readings and doing the assignments are mandatory, but other than that it's one easy breeze of a class!

O.M.G. You are going to love this professor! She teaches all sorts of subjects under the Sociology belt, and seriously, she is the one professor YOU NEED TO TAKE! Dr. Minnich is rowdy, fun and gets the class moving. 2 exams; midterm, final. 2 group projects. In class assignments- fairly easy- must be typed. As for the exams, learn the term names since the structure of her exams tend to be fill in the blank with no word bank, might be difficult to those who have test anxiety. No make-up work. Easy.

She is awesome!She is hilarious and keeps you awake. Her tests are so easy, its a shame for anyone to fail. She literally outlines the test for you and all you have to do is memorize definitions.But she does take attendance and she doesn't put up notes online.Didn't use the textbook at all. I have taken multiple sociology courses with her and they are extremely easy, but you do take a lot with you. She does not want to exhaust students with exams, so instead makes them do papers (better in my opinion). SHE'S ENTERTAINING, AWESOME AND FUNNY! you must take her! sure it's an easy A, and you may not attend some classes, but she's worth it

For those who stumbled across Minnich's profile page...PLEEEEASE TAKE HER COURSES! If she's teaching a course, JUMP ON IT because it's an easy A. she gives out assignments but NOT exams...just know you will have to do readings but they are extremely easy! Heck, she even changed the syllabus around because we found several errors! TAKE HER CLASS!

She is terribly amusing! Just paper assignments (She doesn't hand them back to you) and does not record attendance. She will even cancel some classes due to personal illnesses and other things, but don't fret...you will learn a lot from her courses. She is amazing.

This class was awesome. Watched movies chilled, 1 group project which was fun. 2 exams- straight from the study guide. Barley attended class cuz she would cancel A LOT. but she would give us like a 1 page paper whenever we did. EXTREMELY easy though. I recommend her to EVERYONE. I actually liked attending class. She's great and incredibly interesting. Anyone who says she gives a lot of work is absolutely insane. The class was composed of three assignments and two tests. If you can't handle that, good luck with the rest of college. She has a lot of cool stories and tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on the midterm and final. TAKE HER!!!

Nicest teacher ever. Unlike a lot of the professors at this school, she is actually understanding and helpful during and after class. I received an A in this class...but it was a joke. She assigned a ridiculous amount of work which I don't even think she graded. Numerous weekly assignments, an 8 page paper on an independent read book that's extremely dry and then a 15-20 page research paper. Everything is due on the last day of class..no way she could have graded it. It's a joke.

Hands down must entertaining professor in GMU. I never look forward for classes, but her class is an exception. I love her stories about her personal life. Shes very energetic and extremely funny. Waste of momey. Didn't learn a thing. Got out of class every day an hour early. All we did was listen to her life story and opinions all class. Doesn't grade assignments and then chooses a grade for you at the end of the semester.
