Respondus is used on exams which is very frustrating because if wifi crashes, you can't leave or you will get an academic misconduct. She is condescending and only held one zoom a week where she bragged about herself until OU got us a new professor to teach the remainder if you decided to switch. DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU WANT TO LEARN FOR MCAT/EXAMS

I was given the opportunity to switch professors mid semester (so I did because im not dumb). Her only grades are exams and she uses a lockdown browser (respondus) that will mess up your exam. But it is never her fault, and if you dare to claim it is you'll be sent to the academic misconduct office so fast your head will spin. DONT TAKE HER CLASS!

You will learn by the book, and she will teach you nothing! Get ready to hire a tutor or teach yourself. The only thing she is good for is reporting people for academic misconduct. She will report you for just about anything (no camera on during lecture, asking questions, ext.) For the love of god do not take her class unless you hate your GPA! :)

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! If you have to take an extra semester so be it. Paying thousands in tuition will be cheaper than what you will have to pay a therapist after you take her course. She has a mindset she is some God that has no right to be asked questions. She will report you for academic misconduct for breathing in her direction, so just dont.

She does not care for her students but rather blame every little issue on them. She does not hold zoom meeting OR try to help you to understand the concept. Her class are self-paced and she is so lazy that she literally jeopardize our exam 1 so the dean had to step in and hired another professor. That should speaks for itself about her teaching.

I don't know where to begin. She was the WORST professor I have ever taken. Because of this pandemic the class was online, yet she never held any actual classes. She would only hold one zoom meeting a week in where she talked about reporting students for academic misconduct. If someone asked a question during this zoom she would get mad. DONT TAKE!

Worst proff I have ever had at the University. And thats coming from a 4.0 Pre-Med/ Mechanical ENGR major. SHE has zero care for students and their performance. AVOID PLZ

I stayed in Prof. Nelson's class after the class split and I am so glad I did. Prof. Nelson worked with the students who stayed. She worked problems with us step by step and made sure we understood. The class definitely had a rough start but was infinitely better by the end of the semester.

Please, please do not take her for ochem. When you see 80% of the class drop out in the first 4 weeks of class, you know that there is something really bad going on. Nobody got above a 78 on the first exam. So far, she only holds classes on about half the days where we are supposed to have class. Want to go to office hours? She won't even be there.

Dr. Nelson has changed alot. I would recommend taking her over Sims. She really cares about her students and preaches that no one dumb makes it to Ochem and that she believes everyone deserved to be there. Make friends with the people you sit with and you will be okay. She will write you a letter of rec and offer research opportunities!

Get ready to self learn! It's a flipped class structure, so you watch pre lectures before class and do these practice problems in class. However, she expects you to watch 2-3 hours worth of OChem videos in 1 weekend, so it's just really annoying. Best thing to do is just go at your own pace and read the textbook/slides.

You watch her lectures at home (they don't help answer the practice problems in class). No need to go to class if you can get the pictures of practice problems from someone else.

AVOID HER! If you are a pre-med student taking the MCAT, you won't understand anything from her class. She posts hour long lecture videos to watch before every lecture, otherwise you will be lost. You don't have any grades other than 4 exams. Take a different professor for ochem, especially if you need to understand it for the MCAT.
