this class is so easy! i mean all you have to do is come up with some idea for your paper, take it to her and i'm not kidding but she will write the whole paper for you! she'll make every little change and add stuff so that when you go home all you do is rewrite what she wrote! take her class!easy A

My worst class is english. Im a slacker on top of that, but this teacher was very helpful. Long as you wrote your papers you would get a good grade. I turned in almost all of my papers in late, but I still got a good grade. Take this professor. Check my grammer its bad and I got a C in the class

She is very strict, but she has to be. If you're not retarted, you'll be ok. She treats you like an adult if you act like one. She doesnt like disruptions or distractions, especially hats. She will help you and will almost write your paper for you. She grades VERY hard though. No b.s.ing your way through the class at all! Just try your hardest.

she was tough on me, and everyone else. i almost dropped her class because of all the rules but i'm glad i didnt because she is VERY fair. the only people who complain about her are the ones who BS in class and haven't grown up yet so they talked back. Take it seriously and you will get an A.

Firm, but a great teacher. A bit strict, but she just wants whats best for her students. Attendence is mandatory, taken everyday at the second class starts. Like i said, she's very strict, but extremelly intelligent and very helpful. Well organized and runs a very smooth class.

your grade is based off of six papers (the first two are short, and the 6th is written in class). she's nice and knows a lot about writing papers. if you do bad on a paper, you can redo it and she'll give you full credit for the re-write

She's way old school on the rules and the HAND-WRITTEN in-class papers, but intelligent and helpful... will show you exactly how to write an A paper. I DESPISE english classes, but got an A in hers.

Schouman was a pretty good professor. I respected her for her no non-sense approach, as there are many immature people out of high school in 1180. She was helpful and clear in her expectations. I would recommend her. I got an A- and I'm not the best english student.

I can understand why people don't like her, but overall I thought she was a very good teacher. She gives very good feedback regarding papers. If you show her your outline and idea, its almost impossible to get below a B in the class. She's very old-school but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

She is a VERY hard professor but she is honestly the BEST professor I've ever had! She is such a good teacher and she really helps you when grading your papers and gives you a chance to revise them for a better grade. Don't give her attitude cause I've seen her kick people out, but she really does know what she's doing! Would recommend to anyone!

This Professor is very clear and understandable when teaching. Always be prepared, always attend alot, DO NOT be late. And again always be prepared for her class. She is very helpful and gives you another chance to re-write your paper. If you can't pass this class you are ridiculous because she is a great teacher. And you will learn alot.

Really nice. Do what she says and you will pass. She basically writes your papers for you, so you do well. Easy quizzes. She claims there is 2 pop quizzes, but there is not. Grammer is not gradded, nor the notes. easy A for me =]

6-week Summer Comp 2 class. Show her respect and you will get it back. Sometimes boring. 4 papers to complete in little time. Major research paper minimum 3000 words when she says to start immediately, START! Lots of work! Show up to class, read the short stories before the class, do NOT procrastinate with the papers and you will be fine in comp 2!

Mrs. Schouman is a great teacher. If you are not good at English, she will give you the basics and walk you through step by step. If you pay attention and attend class it is super easy! She grades very fairly. I highly recommend her for English 1180.

Take her, easy, essays are very vague but gives a lot of in class time to do work, checks all outlines, makes sure you know what do to get an A on the essay, OCD about phones being out. Grammar hw is easy

P. Shouman is the most amazing professor. She's so clear on what she expects from you. There are 6 essays due throughout the semester which are piece of cake. The quizzes are super easy as long as you do the grammar homework. Who ever says she's not good SHAME ON YOU because I was in ESL and I passed her class with an A. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!!!

Professor schouman is probably the easiest professor out there!! She walks you through your essays and she makes sure you have everything correct before you turn it in. Grammar homework is easy! She's a tough person, but gives GREAT feedback. When we write our papers she proof reads everyones paper. She also goes over each paragraph and tells you what she wants in it. She give two planned grammar quizzes and two pop quizzes. I'm glad the i took her class bec she help me a lot. Come prepared and at least five minutes early. ALWAYS DO HW!

I took Mrs. Schouman for my first English class at Macomb Community College in Fall of 2014 and absolutely loved her class. She is a true teacher. If you do the work, participate and pay attention in class and are respectful there is no reason you shouldn't get an A. The homework is relatively easy as it is simply a few pages of grammar work.

Schouman showed up either right on the dot or late to class; she was never early. She took weeks to get grades back to you and questioned the students when we said we had not received grades back. Her lectures are dry; however, she is very clear. A little hard of hearing so sometimes it can be difficult to answer questions. DON'T go on your phone.

Honestly, her class is very easy. She's a very easy grader. there's no way you can fail her class. The only bad thing is that her class is very boring. She's a boring teacher, but overall she's very easy to take.

Professor Schouman overall was lovely to have as a teacher and will pretty much tell you exactly what to do to get an A and as long as you do that you will be fine. She is very funny and overall made a class that I normally find very boring bearable.

She takes attendance everyday and you need to make sure she doesn't mark you absent by accident. It happened to me and she refused to change it. Every paper is broken up into sections that your classmates grade which you then compile for her to grade. It's a very easy class.

A real caring teacher with a passion for what she does. Show up, participate, and do your homework and it's an easy grade if you are trying. The syllabus clearly outlines what is required, there are plenty of helpful handouts, and she is helpful with any questions one might have. Highly recommended.
