I recieved a C in Mth 103.I have an A in Mth 135 because of her.

her class is easy if you take notes. write down the examples she gives you, most quizzes are open notes, and the hmwk is closely based on the notes. she does tend to give a lot of hmwk though, so be prepared.

The easiest class on earth! Seriously, if you did okay in Algebra 2 in high school,this class will be a breeze. Very very easy. Do your homework though because she gives lots of pop quizes and collects homework with out warning. Easy A if you do the work

She is a nice teacher that will help you (but only if you ask). She doesn't teach out of the book all that much so I think it is a waste of money. If your a good note taker and good at doing your homework you should be fine.

Not easy, but fair and helpful.

I understood it all, but then I took higher level mth courses in HS. She is very helpful, just look off your notes, and you'll understand it. Not really all that picky, she gives enough bonus to make up a few missed points. A good math teacher.

I never have liked math and she just makes me hate it more. She's never very clear when she'll collect homework or have quizzes.

Athletes beware. She doesnt let you make up any quizes or homework even if its an authorised athletic absence. Apart from that shes nice, just do all the hwk and quizzes and you'll be fine, the tests aren't too bad either.

Although at first she seems mean she really does want us to do good and she goes a little fast, but we are in college now.

She teaches very thoroughly, gives good examples in class. Tests are actually pretty short and easy -- takes a lot of questions from examples in class. She likes the people that participate in class!!! Put forth effort in her class and she'll help you on the side if you need it.

Easy in-class examples, but hard homework problems. Too many quizzes (7 in a row at one point).

She is one of the easiest teachers I've ever had! She is a very good teacher and is very helpful and understanding. You will get homework every night, but it's sooo easy if you understand math at all! I took this class at 8 and am still getting around 100%! Tests are easy. Easy A!

Sherrill is very thorough in her teaching methods. Expect to do a lot of homework and quizzes. She covers material quickly. BUT she offers lots of extra credit! If you work hard, you'll do fine in this class. I liked her.

She is a great Teacher. However this is math and unless it just comes easy to you you'll have a little bit of difficulty. Her lectures are really clear! If I can pass her class with a B everyone else should get an A!!

She is a great teacher!! she explains everything thouroughly and gives great notes. if you pay attn. and come to class it is an EASY A! she's very nice and clear, but there is a lot of homework and she doesn't tell you if she's going to collect it. but she does give study guides for tests, which are collected for EXTRA credit! take this class!!

She is a very thorough teacher with her notes, and you do learn a lot. However, she gives a TON of homework, and you never know when she is going to pick it up. There is always a review before the test for extra credit.

i really liked her. i heard bad things but she helped me out a lot.

Moves fast. Gives extra credit for test reviews. Explains the material very well and gives plenty of examples. She doesnt tell you when shes going to collect homework or give a quiz so you have to go every class.

Awesome teacher. Explains real well, must go to class, but then again it is math what do you expect. Test are easy, and gives EX. CREDIT

She explains everything well becaue she teaches a methods class for math education majors. Do the homework (its worth a lot of points), the tests aren't bad, she gives you good reviews before each test and lots of bonus. Show up, pay attention and you'll do fine if you know math at all.

I may have never had Donna for a teacher, but she has mentored me in ways that no other has. She is as fine a person you could ever meet. She has a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. She is kind and compassionate; she has qualities that so few have these days. I've seen her teaching, I've seen her students respond. She's awesome. :)

It's math it's not going to be easy no matter the teacher, but if you attend class take notes and do your homework the test are easy to ace.

She is a great teacher, her notes are extremely helpful & she repeats them several times. She gives alot of examples & makes sure you understand. BUT, she gives TONS of homework, so be prepared. Her tests and finals aren't bad if you study and are prepared. If you have to meet your math requirement, she would be a really good choice.

She gives a lot of helpful examples in class. The tests aren't hard if you actually show up for class and do your homework. Definitely do your homework though, because she often gives homework quizzes, and homework is a large part of your grade, as well as attendance. The class is a little like high school, but that only makes it easier!

Donna is a nice lady, a bit hard but you can do it. Just study for the tests and do they homework. For the final, study but she posts all the tests on Blackboard so just do them a few times and its just like that again. Not a bad teacher, you just have to do your part!

i struggled a lot in this class. your grade is weighted heavily by tests. although homework is less than 20% of the final grade its really helpful to learn the material. if you work hard you are garenteed to learn but not to get an A.

Offers lots of extra credit

Mrs. Sherrill is a WONDERFUL teacher. Anyone who don't think so are crazy, and those who complain about homework-you really have not been in college very long, and you don't realize how it really helps you in the long run. She is very helpful and is willing to help you however she can if you go to her office. I wish I could take her again!

I really enjoyed and learned a lot from Sherrill. I honestly think the bad rankings and comments about her teaching must be from students who either did not show up to class or do their homework. WELL OF COURSE YOU ARE GOING TO DO BAD IN HER CLASS IF YOU DON'T DO THESE THINGS! Her homework quizes really made me stay on top of things. Great teacher!

I was in the 8:00 math class.I have always been good in math but I got a C in it this semester.You have to go to class because she will give homework quizes that you can use your homework on.Bring your book every day;you use them most of the time.DO NOT BUY A GRAPHING CALC FOR THIS CLASS!She was hard but I took her to strengthen my math.

This was a hard class!! As long as you make it to each class and take notes you will be fine. BUT YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ON THE TEST!!! The tests are what will make or break you. She doesnt give extra credit assignments but she does explain things well. Homework isnt required and it doesnt hurt if you dont do it!

This was one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. I never studied for a test, but I did always do my homework. I would recommend her, the lowest grade I ever made on a test was a 95%.

Mrs. Sherrill is super personable and helpful. She really taught me that I am not stupid at math, sometimes I just have to work a little bit harder. If you give effort in her class- it will pay off.

If you are a responsible student, you should have no problem with this class. Mrs. Shirrell is a decent teacher. Not fun by any means (duh it's math). She makes a test review. Some test questions are tricky. If you have any prior algebra experience you will do fine (I had very little). She also gives lots of extra credit opportunities.

I think she is a very good teacher. She goes slow but not too slow. The homework points and homework quiz points help a lot when it comes to your grade and she is willing to help anyone.

One of the best teachers I have had while at Missouri State. Very picky about how you explain your answers, but if you go to class, participate, and study everything she tells you too, you will do fine. I have always been awful at math and I got an A in her class for the first time ever.

The class is not super easy, but if you go to class and participate and do the homework then it isn't too bad. Also she is very good about helping you outside of class if you need it and before class if you get there a few minutes early.

She was the best math teacher and one of the best overall teachers I have had here at the university. She does require a lot of work, but she wants all of her students to succeed and will help you outside of the classroom. She gives weekly quizzes and daily homework, but none of it is busy work; it all helps you to understand the material!

She makes the math easier and she is good at explaining the processes of solving certain problems. If you have a problem, she always likes to help you after or during class. Provided test review sheets before test days, so take notes, study and practice, you will do fine in her math class.

If you take this class, just attend and do the homework and reviews and you should be fine. She's very good about teaching clearly and using the easiest methods.

Sherrill is great at explaining things! If you do your work and attend class/pay attention, you will receive the grade you deserve. This is the best math teacher I've ever had. She makes Math easier than it has ever been, and that's good to know since this is College Algebra. I would 100% recommend her!

Donna Sherrill is really nice and easy to talk to as a individual. She is a tough grader but she is great in explaining the material before the test. Their are a lot of quizzes to so always be prepared.

She is a great teacher! She is not one to just give you an A, if you put effort in you can come out with the grade deserved. In the beginning I had a D in her class. I had a conference with her and she is very approachable and i finished her class with a B. She is a very fair person. She drops lowest 3 hwk and lowest 2 quizzes.

Mrs. Sherrill was extremely helpful. She was very clear at explaining all material, and you also knew what to expect to be well prepared for her tests. She is always willing to help. She made me actually enjoy this class. I ended with an A, but I had to work for it. I would definitely recommend her and would take another class with her if I could!

Ms. Sherrill is a fantastic math professor. She is there to help you. She wants you to understand how to do the problems. Everything that is graded comes back with a key so you can find you mistakes and see the correct way to work out the problem. By far the best math teacher I have had.

Would for sure take her class again. Although her lessons are boring, she is really good at teaching if you stay tuned in. She will assign a good amount of homework, but it is a large pillow to your grade. She always gives good test reviews that are worth extra credit

Go to class! Missing notes kinda leaves you behind, but the times I missed she gladly emailed me a scan of the notes. Extra credit homework points for doing the optional test reviews, but the test reviews are very close to the tests so it's good study material. She even sets up extra out of class review sessions for any questions you still have.

Sherrill is the best math teacher I've ever had. I'm pretty OK at math, so most of the stuff we learned wasn't too hard. She gives homework every class period but it's never super hard. She's super nice and explains things well. Make sure you show up to class, you CANNOT make up quizzes or tests. Great teacher overall!

Good Teacher, the usual when it comes to math classes. She is always on time and prepared for class. Expect a lot of homework which means little to your grade which is frustrating, and pretty tough tests. She does the best to help you in her grading though.

She is amazing, she really tries to get students to understand why they're doing what they're doing instead of just memorizing. She plans a study session before every test, the day before the test, and it is incredible help. She does take attendance at the beginning of class, and gives you a study guide well before the test. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Clear teaching, always prepared, always on time. Wants you to understand the material. Homework everyday, combination of my math lab assignments and ones you have to print off. Three tests and comprehensive departmental final. Limited book use, don't purchase book, use e-text that comes with code. Gives awesome test study guides, do them!!

I really liked Mrs. Sherill. She was super nice and I vited you to her office hours. I went serveral times and she was able to help me. You have to go to class or you won't pass. She has very through notes. Be prepared for pop quizzes.

I really enjoyed having her as a teacher. Gives you thorough notes sheets and tells you exactly how you need to show your work for it to be counted right on tests and final. She also makes a point to make sure you understand the material and aren't just memorizing it, which helped me learn. You need to go to class to pass though a lot of pop quizes

EASY class, just a lot of work. Tests(3) are worth 60% of the grade. There is 1 final which is worth 25% of the grade. she will drop 3 homeworks and 2 quizzes at the end of the semester. Plus, test reviews are basically extra credit. SO DO THEM! If you score high on your final, she will replace your lowest test score with your final's score.

She is a very nice professor and cares about how the students are doing. Attendance is mandatory. She has pop quizzes in beginning of semester. Test reviews are super long, but they are for bonus points and help prepare you for exams. Exams are short. 3 exams total and 1 final. There is a lot of homework, but that is a given with any MTH135 class.
