Its was since High School that I did not take a class so animated and engage. I was actually able to even make friends in this class from the group projects that we made. The professor was fair, clear and fun!!! Of my my favorite classes. A lot of people from the class tell me the same thing but they don't come in here and write about it.

Please DO NOT believe the negativity. Her class is extremely easy! the first month is strictly the book,(just going over what you should have read) but then after that, its smooth sailing. She practically tells you what she wants in the speeches, and wants the best for you! best part of it all, NO EXAMS!!!! just 4 speeches!

A truly AMAZING Professor. Will prepare you for public speaking. The group project was FUN... When the semester comes to an end, you won't want to leave her class. That's the feeling she leaves you with... Very caring and helpful. She is willing to help and makes the class so much fun. Never a dull moment. She's amazing and a great instructor!

I love doing public speaking in her class. It's very easy if you go to class and do what your supposed to do you'll get a easy A. If you get know her she very funny and easygoing.

Proffessor Dennis-Austin is an amazing person, she's hillarious and makes classes entretaining. However, she's going to make you work for your grade and she mostly likes perfection, other than that it's a good class!

Professor Austin was very helpful when it came to speeches and gives you another chance if you did not do a speak to redo it for partial credit. overall fun enjoyable class was never a dull moment she did give a decent amount of extra credit. she actually cares for her students as if they are her own kids i would definitely take her class again :D

this professor gives a very interesting class. I personally learned a lot from her. Also, she teaches a dynamic class and she gives the opportunity to every student to participate in class and do things to get extra credits.

My favorite of all. I've never had a professor so inspiring, caring, and lovable. Professor Austin is by far one of the best professors I've ever had. It is public speaking class and I never thought I'd like it,but she made it fun and easy. She cares for her students as if they are her children. I love her and I would take her class again and again

Her presentations assignments are a little long and tough but it's easy and she helps with the grades, teaches you how to speak and you make friends with everyone so the presentations become less nerve wrecking. Over all easy grade to get.

At first I was nervous, it was my first semester in college but she was very clear with what she wanted from us. I would take her again. Her class helped me loosen up and not be shy!! She gave me confidence. She knows a lot about life and gives good advice. LOTS of extra credit! I recommend her!

The speeches are fairly easy and there is a final group project that is worth more than both speeches combined. It's a friendly class but hope that you get good group partners for the project.

SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO EXPLAIN AND MAKE THINGS CLEAR AND SHE DIDN'T MIND IF SHE HAD TO GO OVER THE SAME THING A FEW TIMES. A VERY DEDICATED AND PROFESSIONAL PROFESSOR WHO CARE ABOUT HER STUDENTS PASSING HER CLASS. I WISH SHE WAS MY PROFESSOR FOR ALL MY CLASSES!

Professor Dennis-Austin is the best!!!! If I could take her for all my classes I would in a heartbeat. No tests or quiz are given at all, she gives a lot of extra credit and she is very helpful. She is the nicest professor ever and she tells you exactly what she wants and she wants it. Her class is an easy A and I highly recommend this professor.

Great professor. As long as you pay attention to her the class will be easy. There are 4 speeches - 3 individual speeches and one group speech. Start doing your research early for the speeches and you will be fine.

There are three main speeches and one group project. The first speech is a biography based on a partner you are assigned to in the class, second speech is an informative, and the third speech is a persuasive. The final is a group project where you create your own business, which is presented. Overall an easy class with lots of extra credit.

Great teacher, just make sure you come completely prepared with a folder when you present. She is easy going.

The professor is always open to helping the students. Very open minded and pleasant. Just stay on par with the schedule and agenda and you'll be fine.

The professor was very good, she really teach and help you to improve your speech. Also, if you have a good excuse to miss one of her classes, she give you the chance to do your presentation.

Nice teacher and seems to genuinely care for her students. I enjoyed the class. Sometimes a tough grader but if you do the work and go to class then you will pass. Ask questions and she will help. She can be unclear with project expectations at times.

Very easy course. There are no tests and she just book and summarize in class for the first few weeks. Speeches are very simple and as long as you don't read off power point you'll pass her speeches with an A. She has three individual speeches all semester and one final group presentation that she gives you plenty of time in class to work on.

If you want to get over your fears of public speaking, she is NOT the right professor for you. If you are already good at public speaking OR want an easy A, she's the BEST professor for you. She's nonjudgmental, extremely down-to-earth and easy going, and does not grade harshly at all. She may be disorganized at times, but you can pull through it.

The class is fun as long as you get comfortable. You can talk about pretty much anything but she is sort of unorganized. If you arent comfortable with speech and get really nervous and shake this would be a good class. Only 3 speeches and its towards the end of the class.

Great teacher honestly, she was able to connect with the class. I conquered my fear of public speaking. You really get interact with your classmates as well. Be ready to be social.
