This is one of the nicest teachers ive ever had. She is fair, interesting, knowlegable, and makes class fun.i learned sociology with almost no pain

Ms. Robinson was a great teacher. Her lectures were so interesting, it was the class I looked forward to everyday. She is not afraid to say things that need to be said in lectures. I would take any one of her classes again. I HIGHLY recommend her. Her tests are not too hard and she explains the material very well.

This was my favorite class this semester. Took her for socio 310 & loved it. Topics are interesting & she's a great teacher. Two thumbs up--easy A if you attend lecture and do all assignments :)

Super Easy Class, an A is easily attainable in this class. She made the class pretty interesting, although alot of class periods do go wasted. For people who don't want to go to class alot this may be a good thing. No Final in this class also which was nice, instead there's a Group Debate final which was really fun for some, not for others lol.

I always looked forward to coming to this class because the discussions were so interesting, unlike the typical boring lectures. Exams were fairly simple, she pretty much told you exactly what would be on it. She's a little slow at uploading grades, but other than that she is an amazing professor.

This professor is very nice she is an amazing teacher she knows how to teach she gives alot of examples she is ready to help when ever you need, she is very clear, she stays on the topic all the time i really enjoyed her class 100% recommanded love to take more classes with her.

I loved this class and Prof Lugo, she's friendly, upbeat, speaks like we do, gives entertaining lectures and funny. She likes group work, we watched several movies and you tube videos. Constantly plays music. Three writing assignments and tests, thats it. I was four points from an A and got a B only because I failed myself. Learn APA!

I really enjoyed having Professor Lugo. She is so knowledgeable and really helps you to understand all aspects of sociology using great examples and tools (videos, scenarios, articles, etc.) She makes the class very fun and really tries to engage her students. 301 is an easy A & 305 requires a little more effort (readingwriting a lot). Take her!

I loved being in her class. She talks about things that are interesting and I found myself wanting to participate. She does have a lot of group work, there is a lot of writing, but no tests. I liked this class because there was a group debate, and you do have to read a book and write a report for the final. Attendance is graded.

She's very straightforward with her lectures and the whole class gets to interact as well as interact in groups. Most of the information is from lectures so showing up to class is a must. I love her! She is so understanding and has such a kind heart. I love her. She's really intelligent and she is amazing. She's easy. She does not grade hard. She does have assignments, but she explains them clearly. Her essays are broken down by paragraphs.

After taking her class, I learned to enjoy debates. I am usually opposite, but she makes all the assignments fun, clear, and easy. I enjoyed her class from the beginning until the end. No final exam, just a paper, but trust me it is easy.

Prof Lugo is amazing! Her lectures are never boring and encourages you to participate. Normally i don't like group work but the group work we do in her class are a great way to know your classmates. 3 exams and they're easy if you read the textbook. and 3 - 3 page essays which are easy to write. Work hard and you'll earn an A

Great Professor! Very good information gleaned in this class. With the midnight deadline on Sunday, you had the weekend to get things done. Initial posts are due by Wednesday - lose 5 points if not. However, grading was easy as long as work was done. Textbook is definitely needed

Excellent Professor. Her online class consist of doing discussions every single week. Read her syllabus carefully about discussions. She offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. She also assigns you a total of 3 essays throughout the semester. Then there are 3 exams. She is very efficient when it comes to trying to contact with her.

Amazing teacher! By far my favorite teacher that I have taken. She asks only for 3 essays and 3 tests. If you stay engaged in class discussions and keep up with the work(which is very minimal), you will pass the class with no problem. Each of her classes require a textbook, but if you just take notes during class, you will be completely okay.

She would love all students to be Sociology majors. I am but didn't say so when she asked just to see if treatment differed. It didn't at all. She is very accessible, relevant and engaging. Counts off room into small group discussions a lot so move around room to mingle more. No need for extreme notes, just pay attention and grasp concepts

She is my FAVORITE professor! Her class is very fun and interactive. You will be doing a lot of group discussions - so get ready to be put in groups! You have 4 essays and 4 tests. Reading the textbook and being in class is mandatory for passing the class!

If this is your major, take her, PLEASE! Very passionate and you will def. learn a lot. Her lectures are so engaging and entertaining. You won't get bored. Shows a lot of videos and movies so you're not only listening to her. Only 4 papers (3 pgs each) and 3 exams. 50 Q's on exam and if you don't read textbook, you won't pass.

Great teacher! Always starts the class with music. Always takes real life situations and adds it to her lesson. Class is easy if you show up. You will need your book. She really loves what she does and Ive really enjoyed my time in her class.

Waking up 730 am wasn't a problem for me. She would make class really fun and have music playing before class starts which really helped. Has really interesting stories and cares about her students. One of the best Professors I have taken.

Professor Lugo really cares about her students. She is really approachable and encourages you to participate in whatever form you feel the most conformable, Through twitter, email or in class. She doesn't pressure you although and as long as you complete most of the assignments you will do well.

Professor Lugo is one of the chillest professor I've had. She's easy to talk to is there for you when you need it as long as you let her know. Easy class as long as you pay attention. You don't need to study much, just bring your book everyday for pop quizzes cause it's open book.

Her online class was very simple and easy. Just post a discussion/response three times a week. Three writing assignments that were easy and received A's, but deducted for APA format. The exams are not hard, but they are not easy as well, they're mainly definitions and terms.

I took her online class. Weekly participation/discussions are mandatory in order to receive a good grade. Goes straight by the book. If you do the readings you should be fine.

Online Soc301 summer class: All in all an easy to pass if you genuinely put the work in. I read chapters thoroughly and took notes and still barely passed with an A. I felt that many of the quiz questions were trick questions/ worded poorly. Other than that, an interesting class and not too heavy a work load. She was a nice teacher too.

She cares about the students. There are a few pop quizzes here and there. In total there are four papers that are extremely easy. When she teaches she makes sure the students are contributing to the discussions and they are pretty interesting. Honestly this class is an easy A.

Take Professor Lugo's classes! This is my 2nd online class with her and I want to take more! 3 papers, 3 tests, 3 discussion posts a week. I got a B in her last class but hoping to get a A in this one

Very understanding and inspirational. Reading is required but the material was interesting and eye-opening. Prof was understanding and thoughtful throughout the course. I would take her class again. If you're interested in social justice and systemic issues, I highly recommend her class because she is very passionate about her teachings.

This class started off in person but changed because of COVID. The transition was super easy from in-person to online. Tests are very easy and she gave us the test the week before to study and get the correct answers. I would recommend this class to anyone who needs a social science class or needs a major requirement.

Professor Lugo is extremely passionate about her class and the subjects she teaches. A majority of the class is based off of two discussion posts a week with an IRF every few weeks and about two essays. She is really easy to work with and has your best interest in mind always.

Best SOC Professor there is! I changed my major to Sociology because I fell in love with her class. Assignments are pretty simple, as long as you study. Zoom attendance isnt required and she records them so you can watch later, if needed. *PLEASE NOTE* discussions have TWO PARTS! Your initial post AND a response are due on DIFFERENT DAYS. A+

Very realistic and willing to help students. Repetitive work every week but its only reading and a few assignments. Very laid back and wants her students to learn. Prof. Lugo is amazing. She is familiar with the transfer colleges nearby and really wants you to switch to a Sociology Major!! I have taken 300, 341, and 305 with professor Lugo. Lectures are optional and she usually uses class time to go over any questions students have from the material learned that week. There are a lot of essays, but they are very easy, and she offers to look over them before they are due and give you feedback. She is a very laid back, caring professor

The best Soc professor you'll ever meet. Her class was super easy and flexible. I had to leave the country for about a month and she made everything accessible to me. A few quizzes, and documentary analysis. A couple of discussions and that's literally all. Book analysis's are super easy too. The textbook is cheap and understandable.

I believe I received an A in SOC305 and a B in SOC301 class. Each lecture had the same setup and it was easy to follow. Textbooks were accessible online and able to be downloaded. Professor Lugo is caring and checks in with her students frequently. Definitely a class I'd take again because she is consistent, organized, and very informative. :)

She is a approachable, wonderful & incredible Proffesir. She truly wants you to succeed! She is very inspirational, caring and she is a wonderful woman. She is overall is just a wonderful woman and you can see that in the lectures, and she is passionate about her profession. I would take all of her classes if I could!

If you work full time, have kids... this is the class for you! Professor Lugo let us pick our own assignments based on what worked for us. She gives you the points for each assignment and how much you need to get each letter grade. Assignments were great and she's so personable. The issues she chose really opened my eyes and broadened my thinking.

Loved Prof Lugo! My class was totally online so I went mostly at my own pace throughout the week. There were lots of papers but easy to do. Prof Lugo is super understanding as long as you communicate well imo. I'd totally take her again.

Ms. Lugo is very passionate about Sociology. I loved that we were in charge of our grades. She made assignments due and they were worth different amounts of points. Once we had the grade we desired, we did not have to do anymore. Her lectures were AMAZING and made you think. I would love to take her for more classes.

Choosing our assignments was cool because I had enough points for an A nearing the end of the semester, giving me more time to study for my STEM class finals. What really helped me was Prof. Lugo's generous late policy -- it saved my butt a couple of times, so thank you very very much Prof. Lugo!!! My only critique is grading took a while.

One of my most favorite professors up to date. Extremely caring and takes students situations seriously and helps in any way she can. The assignments are extremely beneficial and are actually fun to do. Extremely engaging professor and beneficial course work. Definitely recommend!

I took online classes from Professor Lugo for two consecutive semesters. She was highly driven to ensure that everyone in her classes passed with a C or higher in both SOC300 & SOC305. Throughout the semester, she provided us with numerous opportunities to improve our grades. She is a sincere, compassionate, & all-around an excellent teacher.

As long as you get your work done and read (or skim) the textbook, you'll get a passing grade. Much more writing if you want an A or B, but you end up learning more, too. She responds quickly to emails and is willing to accommodate. Would recommend!

I was already struggling to keep up with my classes but this class was the one class I genuinely felt interested in. Professor Lugo truly makes learning amazing. Her grading is so unique and her feedback is clear. You get to pick the amount of assignments you want to do which means your grade is based on your decisions.

Her class is flexible and she's an easy grader. She allows us to choose which assignments we want to complete, final is just a vocab sheet. Funny professor, she genuinely wants her students to be interested. I slacked off by not doing any of the assignments but she still let me pass with a C lol. If you have space in your schedule, take her!

One of the most understanding professors out there. Wished we have more professors like her. She understands that students have a life outside of school and some weeks are tougher than others. Therefore, she lets us chose which assignments to work on.

Professor Lugo does this point system which can be helpful but was personally confusing for me; make sure you read the syllabus and understand her grading rubric. Assignments overall were pretty easy, weekly discussions, quizzes, and reflection/writing papers plus final paper (ALA); e-textbook (free--she wrote it) and documentaries she has listed.

She was amazing. One of my favorite professors since I have attended CRC. I would 100% have her as a professor again. She's a cutie patootie and really cares about all of her students. If you need a SOC class you should consider having her as a professor.

Super easy professor, allows you to turn in assignments late for full credit.

She allows her students to pick the assignments as long as it accumulates certain amount of points in the class you'll get an A. Essays are given within reasonable amount of time. If you complete most of the assignments no final needed! Plus you do not need to purchase a textbook! I definitely recommend taking her class she is very passionate!

I took summer class and Professor Lugo allows you to choose the assignments you want to do to get the grade you want. You just need to watch videos, write essays, reply to discussion board question weekly and do some reading. She provides free online textbook. She's a good teacher and I recommend her class.

Professor Lugo is super accommodating with her assignments. I had to submit late work occasionally because of other obligations I needed to fulfill, but we had a free grace period. Do not expect to have an easy A; there are many papers you will have to write over the course and you will need to read the textbook. Otherwise, this class was great!

Professor Lugo is genuinely one of the nicest professors I have ever had. She structures the class in a points-based style rather than a percentage-based one. There are 855 points total; you need 630 to get an A. You can pick and choose which assignments you would like to do, and can even skip the last week's assignments + final and still get an A.

She mostly posts a few assignments to canvas each week, and when 3 were given it would only take an hour or two at most, A WEEK! She is super sweet and you can tell she loves SOC. I would take her for an easy A

Donnisha Lugo is an amazing professor! I would definitely take her class again. During my semester, she offered free passes on some homework assignments before the final, which gave me valuable time to focus on other classes. She is very understanding and great at answering questions.

I am so glad that I got to take Professor Lugo again! I took her in-person SOC 300 class before. I love this woman. She is super flexible, understanding, and so kind to her students. Her classes are so interesting too. (I may be biased though since I am a Sociology major haha) If you need to take any SOC class, TAKE HER! I cannot stress that enough

I absolutely love this teacher and I would no doubt take her again. She doesn't do late work and she makes it optional if you want to do quizzes instead of papers or papers instead of quizzes and depending on how your final grade is then you dont have to do the final. She really cares about her students and not every lecture is about sociology.

I took her 8wk SOC 300 online class, honestly I slacked A LOT. I had an F because I lacked turning in assignments, however I was able to turn that into a B in 2 days!! Take her class!

She was amazing i really liked her. She grades very generously and is understanding about late assignments. The only thing i would say is there's lots of papers to do, get ready to write lol and also you have to watch hour documentaries and write 3-4 pages about it. But the class was good just lots of reading and stuff

Professor Lugo's SOC301 class can be challenging, but engaging with the content and using study tools like Unstuck ai and the free textbook can really help. Attend class, do the assignments, and you'll likely do well.

I took the 8 week SOC305. She is a really sweet professor and lets you choose between assignments. It's an easy class that just requires a decent amount of writing. She grades really nicely and gives full credit for everything if you follow the instructions. There are also no tests, only written assignments and discussion posts. I'd recommend!

Best professor ever! Super responsive and understanding. Lets some assignments go, depends on the course. Should be one of the easiest classes if you just do the simple assignments. Will always recommend her, absolute queen. Wish all my profs formatted their courses like hers with a rewarding point system.

GO TO LECTURE!! The in-class activities counts for major assignments. I didn't have to do the last 3 weeks worth of materials + final because of her grading system. You get to choose which assignments you do as long as they add up to 630 points.
