Professor Ross was a great professor to have for my first English class in college. The assignments and projects were engaging. I strongly suggest taking his class.

By far the best English professor Ive had. He has a great sense of humor and prepares you for everything you need to know. I would definitely recommend giving him a chance because he will teach you everything you need to know in your next class in a fun and refreshing way style.

Professor Ross was funny and helpful, you write papers but it's not too overwhelming. Don't skip, it's the only thing that really lowers your grade and it's not worth it, he has good classes with barely any lectures. 11/10, favorite Prof of the the semester.

Professor Ross makes English Composition fun by trying to use new education tools such as Flipgrid to keep the class feeling new and fresh. He gets the students to talk more about themselves and become friends with other students in the class. He is funny and makes every lecture awesome, rather than a typical and boring English Comp class.

One of my favorite professor definitely recommend he was able to really break me out of my comfort zone and force me to do things I have always wanted to do but never got around to.

Professor Jackson-Ross is a great teacher. All his assignments are well paced and fun. He makes sure to engage with everyone to ensure that you pass. As long as you show up to class, you shouldnt get anything lower than a C. Youre guaranteed to make at least 1 friend while learning in his class.

Also the classes are never boring because he is hilarious and interactive. He goes over really important information during the lectures that help with writing essays.

Honestly wasn't expecting to have this amazing of a prof. He's very fun and intelligent. He is always there to help. The textbook is free online and is used sometimes. Class is essay heavy but they aren't very hard. Show up, pay attention, and you'll do just fine!!

In all honesty Professor Ross is one of the best professors I've ever had. He has a genuine passion for teaching, and it shows in his teaching style which is engaging and upbeat for all of his students. He will help you succeed and does not demand anything unreasonable of you during the course. I would absolutely recommend him to anybody.

Professor Ross gives great and passion energy to a class that could easily be very boring. Something to note is that class participation is a must, whether you're fully engaged or simply laughing at his jokes. This class has always had one group video project and a few essays. Fairly simple as long as you're engaged!

Professor Ross is unlike any professor you will come by. His main objective is getting you to where you need to be, so that you don't have to sit and listen to some boring lecture but a great one because you and your classmates are what inspire him to inspire you. If you get a chance to pick him as your professor well then you are one lucky duck.

My favorite was that he didnt make you feel dumb for not knowing something. He has no problem explaining something that you didnt know and he didnt expect you to know everything. Some teachers make you feel bad when you dont know something and he didnt do that at all. He was really patient and had no problem helping you.

Professor Ross was great and is super funny. I would most def take this class again or any other class by him. He make the work super easy and fun to do. There wasn't much homework besides your typical reading assignments and answer a couple of questions here and there. Earning extra credit is available in the class.

We do have a few essays, but the class difficulty is based on what youre willing to participate in.

Professor Ross is an amazing professor and also a very understanding one. He is very flexible and reasonable with his assignments. For example, he cancelled the final exam during corona virus and we only had to do a 5 page paper at the very end.

I took his class in the 2020 Summer at the 6 week pace. His class wasn't hard at all. We had a few video assignments, discussion posts, quizzes, and essays of course. It's easy to get an A if you follow everything he has posted and use the resources if you don't understand. The rubric and what he expects from you is very clear.

Overall a great professor! Pop quizzes were ALL for extra credit, so dont worry. He had office hours where he encourages you to ask any questions you have and go over your essays. MR. Ross is a pretty dope teacher who is a good grader. YOU DONT NEED A BOOK just ask someone in class for a picture of the questions because there are only two question assignments. it was hard to stay awake but not bc of prof, but bc its 3 hours long. he lets out early sometimes. he is rly sweet, loves tea, and he wants you to pass. Professor Dontrel Ross, is a wonderful professor who teaches us students to think meteocognitively and to be more intuitive about the literature that we read in his class. You will learn to find the allegory in the story, to understand the author and the characters in the plot.
