test are hard but overall very good, you learn alot out it.

Glad to address questions, but not always engaging. The lessons are based on slides available on blackboard.com in case you fall asleep. Book reading is important, attendance is not. I liked her English accent but others hated it.

Her tests ask you questions on details that you never thought you would have been tested on. The class average is a C. You've been warned.

She is a good teacher, but her Brititsh accent makes people go crazy. A lot of people leave throughout class and she becomes very angry, writing down their names to remeber when she gives out final grades. If your not going to stay, dont come to class.

I took her for 101 and 216 and I loved her. Her lectures are very clear and the tests were very straight-forward. Her grading policy is really good and if you go to class and read, you will definately get an A. I highly recommend her!

she's awesome!!! i've been to every class, so take it from the horse's mouth, you dont have to go! it's a waste of time, but she tells good stories and gets the class involved on good days. and she has a funky accent, she's really cute!!!

She is a very reasonable teacher. She is strict about her rules and policies but other wise very fair. If you go to her class take notes and study for the tests you can easily get an A. Her grading system is very fair.

great professor attendence doesnt count but if u come everyday ur grade rises an extra 1%(bigwoop)....everything is from the book and blackboard slides dont need to come except on tests and final...and has an interesting accent

She teaches different now. You must come to class. Tests on lectures and book. You can study for 6 yrs and only get low 80's on tests. Lots of case studies and all the answers look right. No points for class participation so don't be a kiss a*@#. Will put you in your place British style. Ovr all ok.

She's a very good professor. She makes the class very interesting (as least for me. My friend slept thru most of her lectures) Her exams aren't that bad, especially with the curves. I really like her grading system bc I got two 80's and one in the high 90's and came out with an A+. Highly recommend!

I loved her class, and she is a very good teacher in comparing with all others I had. I recomend you to take it if you prefer reading the book by yourself--no need for lectures-- and you also like MC exams. If you miss a test, she'll give u an essay exam--not hard at all.

I didn't really like her... she can be a bit insensitive at times. And you don't really need to go to her class. I went just to get some stuff clarified, but if you read her notes from Blackboard, and really, REALLY study the textbook, you'll do fine. I mean, she gave me an A+, so I guess I can't really complain.

A very classy, well-spoken woman. She's not EASY, but she's not overly difficult or unfair. If you hope to have a class you B.S. your way through, this isn't it. But if you're willing to do that crazy thing called studying, you'll do fine.

She is a funny, clear, well-spoken woman. She is also really patient and goes out of her way to help students to do well. I wish all my professors are like her.

she is a nice teacher, all you have to do is pay attention in class and the class should be easy. she does review sessions to fit everyones schedule. however she will not give extra credit assignments to only one student. she likes to be fair so dont expect extra credit assignments. great teacher overall

she is the EASIEST you'll have of all the Psychology Professors there are at QC. All her class notes are on slides. If you dont come to class, just read the notes online! And the grading policy ROCKS.2 exams...the best exam counting for 60% of your grade, and the other one 30% ,think 10% for attendance/misc! Material covered in class..BREEZE!

a wonderful professor who really cares for her students. gives review sessions, curves her exams, which come stright from the notes.., answers any questions you might have. she is a true inspiration. , i would definatly take her again

i dont understand why prof. berman doesnt have good ratings! she is SUCH AN EASY A!!! u dont have to show up to class-it doesnt count, she is soo sweet and the tests are mc and she gives an awesome curve on all the tests! you can get 8-10 wrong and still get 100!!!! take her if you want an easy a!!!!

I thought she was so good that I'm taking her for a second time! She counts the highest test the most, 50%, and the lowest grade the least, 10%, and the one in the middle, 40%. Her tests are really simple if you study the textbook, they're all m/c and all her notes are on a powerpoint presentation which you can download on Blackboard. Gr8 professor

Great professor. Very clear on lectures and very concerned with students' progress. You get to choose your own topic on term papers as long as it is approved.

Nice professor, attendance is not necessary at all to pass because she emails you the notes (however she does give extra pts if u attend class)and everything that is on the 3 tests is straight from the textbook so if u read the txt and notes it should be an easy A

This class is simple if you put a little effort into it. All you need to do well is to read the textbook, which is an easy read. Attendance isn't necessary since her lectures are available on blackboard. She is a sweet woman, but a little boring. Your highest grade is counted most and she applies a bell curve on the exams. Easy A.

Boring at times, but is an overall great professor. She knows what she's doing. Bonus advice: Complete the research requirement via being a guinea pig for a few hours, you'll be happy you did.

if u want to ace the class, buy the book! I went to most lectures(LATE) but didnt buy the book and got Bs on the exams but for the final I actually went to read the book at the Hunter college library(in case you dont wanna buy it)and read the chapters and i got a 98 on the final only 1 ques wrong.do the reviews/tests in the bk and u should be fine!

It's true, she does not require or or count attendance towards your final grade. In a lecture class of about 50, I would say only 20 showed up weekly. The tests always had a big turnout though. But she does require you read the textbook, and a lot of info on the tests. I didn't fail. But I didn't do well. Just make sure if you don't go, you study!
