one of the easiest teacher at SCC. research paper is only a 3000 word paper. tests are multiple choice based on lecture. just go through the book to understand better. u don't need to do a lot of work to get A in her class.

She is an incredible teacher, she really cares about her students. Just as long as you put in the effort in the class you will get a good grade. Her test's are straightforward, so if you study you will get a good grade. She also offers a lot of extra credit which will definitely help.

Collins is very helpful with her students. She will pass you if you really show effort and try. Her tests are 40% in class multiple choice and 60% take home essay. Take her if you are intersted in developmental psychology or need to increase your GPA. She's also pretty hot.

She is a great professor. I really like her class. She makes it easy to get good grades on her exams. There are three exams, three papers, and if you take all three exams you do not have to take the final exam. She never takes attendance execept for the first few days of class and then she forgets.

Definately a great professor! I would reccomend her to anyone! Tests aren't too bad as long as you review the study guide and take a couple of the practice quizes from the books website online. She gives you the essay questions before you even take the test so you have time to prepare for them. Take her class, you won't regret it.

she is cool and easy, but not organized at all... she has some a.d.d. and will go off topic. you need the book and will use it. tests are easy if you read and took notes. She never really answers your question about work or on the essay... lack of communication.

Awesome teacher! Knowledgable & flexible, she will work with you if you have legit attendence issues. You have to write several papers & take exams, use the online test bank for practice. Gives extra credit. Lots of great stories in the class, we would sometimes get off track but it was fun. Do the work and get an A, laziness = C or worse.

Development with her is kinda hard. your test are on 6 chapters at a time and she gives you this crazy study guides to use that dont really help. She takes forever to hand back papers and I think she is kinda rude. She also doesnt do alot of stuff she says she will. idk if i would take her again.

Really great teacher. Will work with you to get you a good grade and really passionate about psychology. She has a lot of experience with it so that made the class more interesting.

Summer online. Read about 2 chapters, one post and one response (100-200 words each)weekly. One 2 page theory paper. One 2,000 words case study. Offer extra credits. 3 exams and one optional final exam. The exams are not hard but the available time is very short.The study guide is very broad but still useful. She grades easy.

Online class is very self paced. Most read all the assigned work. do 2 post/wk. was a bit confusing on the assigned case & theory paper at first. not explicit directions. much easier to take her n classroom. very easy grader.

She really is pretty cool! This class she made the Learnsmart program from the book 20% of our grade because she thought it helps on tests and it really does! SAME questions from that program are on the test! Goes through the notes too fast but you can always go online and save the powerpoints/notes. Gets off topic sometimes but it's fun!

One of the sweetest professors. She is unorganized, but it's because she teaches too many classes. The tests are difficult there's opportunites for extra credit and papers that help your grade. I'd take another class with her!

She is a great professor! Explains with real life examples, but she is over-worked. She has A LOT of work though. A lot of extra things/papers. Myvirtualchild is required in her course, and if you didn't buy your text book new, you have to purchase a $25 access or write a 3500 word research paper, shoot, i opted for 25 bucks and an automatic A.

Great professor. Goes over the textbook powerpoints during class, which are available online. Very interactive class. She provides study guides for the 3 tests throughout the semester. The final is optional and replaces your lowest test grade. DO THE STUDY GUIDE! I rarely paid attention in class but used the study guides and got a solid A.

I took her online course and it was pretty good. She's a bit disorganized and takes a while to return/grade assignments but overall she's very helpful if you need to clarify anything.

I took Prof. Collins for general psyc and for dev. psyc. She provides power points, study guides, goes over everything and personalize them, so that her students can get a better understanding. BEST Psych teacher ever. She is so helpful, and has such a passion for psychology. She loves telling stories and gets involved with the material. Only drawback ( which isnt much of one) is you have to do Connect (online txtbk flashcards) and they are a pain, and it counts for 20% of the total grade.

DO NOT TAKE A HALF TERM COURSE!!!! I am taking developmental psychology online Term A and I'm on the verge of crying. The entire book all 19 chapters in just term A a case study paper, a theory paper, discussions, virtual child and a paper on that. If you have nothing else to do in life the class is easy but it is far too time consuming!!!

She's a beast. If you fail...you failed on your own - don't blame anyone but you. I'm 23 and received an A without buying a book. If your social aware of life you should pass easily, like I did. Show up listen, do connect, and pass test. That easy.

Was a very good professor. The class is easy as long as you pay attention. I did the study sheets she posted online and did well. We had a paper and a case study recieved A's on both. Would definetely take her again she is fun and in tune with her students :)

She was a great teacher, she gave me great assistance and continuous feedback and comments. I got a 100 on my case study and the ease of the teaching and information was wonderful. If you are taking this course to go into psychology field you will not be disappointed.

Missed a few days of class which pushed us behind. Never caught up, so she dropped chapters. You must read the book, the power points don't help. And do the online homework, it's part of your grade & it helps A Lot with the tests! Nice, willing to help, went out of her way for myself and other students all semester. Great teacher, and I will be taking her again for Developmental Psychology too. She is thorough, but the extra credit that she gives (which is a lot) can easily bring you up an entire letter grade. This class is good for those who are self starters, and don't mind reading the book. Only complaint is that she doesn't post grades quickly enough.

Just expect donating an hour a week to little elementary kids other then that class Is super easy few test mostly all are take home. She is so down to earth with her students , gives many examples fine project is a group project hard to not get an "A" in the class.

Teacher is very nice! She sometimes takes a little while to grade and respond to your emails. But, as long as you do the work you will get an A. I took her online in the fall and she only assigned one paper. The rest are all quizzes and tests. The required discussion posts are 1 question about an article/video, 1 about the text, and 1 optional :)

Professor Collins was great. Her online class was pretty straight forward. Just as any other online class, procrastination is not your friend, so ensure to complete all assignments. If you complete all 5 test with a grade you are happy with throughout the semester, the final is optional which was amazing!

Be mindful on what class of her's you sign up for. Her class is normally associated with Service learning. It sounds scary but It actually was an amazing experience for me and I learned a lot. Doctor Collins is an amazing teacher. Yes there's a lot of reading, you'll have about 3 weeks to read over 3 chapters then take about a 60 question test on it. She also goes over a PowerPoint on them each. She also requires you to volunteer (AS A MANDO GRADE) at a elementary school called Pinecrest (you can ask to go to a different one) and don't be fooled, the kids are AMAZING I loved them I'm going continue to go to the school and volunteer.

She likes to start off with relaxation everyday, which is nice, I guess. You will have to make time to go to a school and help out with a child or a teacher though. That was unexpected, so if you work or have a lot to do, you might want to take a different class, or find a way around it, because it's required to pass.

By far the best professor I have ever had. Very caring and understanding! I'm actually taking her for Developmental Psychology again! Do the work, study for the tests and you will pass with an A!!!

If you have a busy schedule I wouldn't sign up for this class because you have to do service learning outside of school hours.

Dr. Collins is a great professor she really knows what she is talking about. 4 tests (2 take home 2 in class). Make sure you study they are not easy. However, her class is enjoyable and the service learning that is mandatory is very humbling. At first I thought service learning(8 wk) why would I want to do that, but I really liked going each week.

She is super nice, awesome and wants to hear from her students. She loves to talk to us. Its a psychology class so she has us talk about our dreams, experiences... ect and she is more than grateful about us sharing it. Its not a sit down and listen class. Shes more interactive with her students than other professors. Grateful for this class.

Hands down one of my favorite professors!! I took her for General Phycology and i loved it! She's super sweet, caring and cares about your grade. She always answered my questions and emails, always was super understanding about late work and always made sure the study guides covered what was on the test. EASY A!

Gives very minimal work for online. You have about 6 easy assignments due every two weeks, they're assignments where you keep answering until you reach enough points to stop, so its impossible to fail. She also responds to emails very well and has let me take two exams late after forgetting them. I would definitely take her online.

Such an easy class. Grades are mainly focused on the service learning which I LOVE. I am continuing volunteering at Pine Crest because of her. Has an easy guideline to her course. Nothing unexpected. You have one Case Study/Developmental Profile due near the end of the semester. Everything else consists of tests, discussions and the online textbook assignment "quizzes".

Great teacher. It was easy to work ahead to keep all my responsibilities in balance. She opens up the course for students to work at their own pace. Exams are easy enough. Read through the text book right. I made sticky notes and wrote down page numbers with key concepts. Start the case study early. It takes time. She always answered emails.

The tests were focused on her notes so just take notes with the power points and you will be fine. It's not hard but I noticed most people didn't start to take notes till they were already failing.

This was my second class with this Professor. The class is simple and not stressful but you will learn a lot which is great! If you need help with the course ask and you will receive. Email response is quick and grading is fast. Professor Collins went above and beyond in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. By far my favorite Professor!

I personally like this teacher because her assignments are not that hard compared to other teachers. The test are multiple choice. Every week you have a discussion question due and an assignment that takes an hour due. She does take a long time to grade assignments but she is an easy grader.

She is by far one of the best teacher I've had so far. I took her online class and it was very easy. Discussions are due every week, therefore I suggest buying the book. There's a lot of Homework assignments/quizzes but if you put in the work you should get an easy A. she might take a while to grade, but always submit your work even if it's late.

Prof. Collins was a great professor I had for this class. She gives quite a large load of work but gives you a decent 2- week period to complete them. Professor Collins is also punctual and respectful in responding to emails with whatever concerns you have. She also gives brief but kind feedback on assignments but patience is required.

Amazing teacher. She makes class interesting and cares a lot about her students! About 3 assignments a week, a discussion post, quiz, and a McGraw hill thing. They are not hard at all and don't take much time but the McGraw hill assignment can be tedious. She is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend taking her class!

3 things per week its very easy

Her class was organized considering we had the same tasks every week. Everything was easy except for the Mcgraw Hill lessons where you basically answer a lot of multiple-choice questions...easy but lengthy. The class itself was interesting, she did a great job explaining the material. The class did take a little time, but I would recommend.

Only a few assignments every week (though they are a bit lengthy) which is very do-able. She's easy to contact outside of school as well, and very understanding about due dates (I am always turning in things late). Would take again :)

She was super sweet, she doesn't use any honorlock thing for her quizzes and tests, but her class is super easy there is no reason to cheat. Defiantly recommend her.

Take her class. I picked it up last minute, and I do not regret it. My only regret is not putting more effort, I 100% would have had an A had I done more assignments. I actually love her discussion posts, which is rare. Her class is very engaging, you just have to do the work. And it's a class with a free textbook.
