Dori Levi is the funniest teacher i have ever had. SHE IS HILARIOUS. The students literally cry of laughter from her lectures. Furthermore, they are interesting and she tells a lot of "dori stories". Final was take-home.

Dori Levi is a cool, animate, funny, and outrageous. She teaches great and she is not boring. The class is fun and the assignments are fun to do. This class is very good.

The absolute funniest & best actress/teacher that I've had!! Exams are straight from lecture.

Easy A class if you do all the work *which aren't hard*. Exams are straight from the book. Only work required is coming to class on lecture day, attend dance workshops, and going to two dance concerts. The workshops are kinda fun if you enjoy the genre.

Very entertaining course. Assignments and tests are easy. I took it 2 years ago and I still have stories that I tell from experiences I had in her class. Great class to take to satisfy GE requirements.

the papers she requires you to do seems overwhelming at first, but she grades pretty easily. first test is not bad. second test was open book/note and the final was take-home.

Fun class! Great teacher!

Excellent teacher. Just go to class and have fun going on the labs. Don't wait till the last minute to watch a show. Great professor and interesting material.

Boring. Lectured, watched videos, had to go to 5 dance labs & 2 dance concerts. 2 concert critique papers, 1 movement in media paper. her assistant corrects the papers. wtf! 2 midterms and a final. papers r harder than the tests.

Fun class!!! Easy tests. Papers are time consuming, but she is a fair grader.

She was a very nice teacher who tried to make the lecture has fun as possible. Even though you have to go to two dance concerts it's not that bad. It also has 5 dance lab but they are so easy I mean I just played around and had fun with it and her grading is very fair. Basically, a fairly easy class

She is a wonderful professor!! she is a wonderful instructor, you need to take her to appreciate her and 2 know her Levy stories, the best!! just take her u will lover her!!

Very nice class. Took it a couple of years ago. Good stories. But Dr. Levy, you thought Jon Benet's parents were guilty but it looks like they are innocent. Thanks for a great class. I enjoyed it very much and learned a lot.

Dori is a nice lady, a little annoying and repetitive with her stories, but definitly nice. I didn't agree with a lot of her theories and have actually read studies to the contrary of what she says, but thats besides the point. If youre looking for an easy A, & an entertaining teacher, take her

Great professor! Great class to take, very entertaining and interesting.

She is a wonderful teacher. She loves to teach and help students so much. She is sooo cool

really easy class, the dance labs are fun but the concerts you go to are pretty boring.

Dori is nice and fun to listen to, very easy to get an A because all her exams are open book and open notes so it is too too easy.

Her class was very interesting, I enjoyed her teaching technique and dori stories... Her final is take home! You will learn alot from her class, I know I did!!!!!!

Really fun and interesting. Kept our class laughing from 6 to 10pm and got the lecture done.

Very nice and funny. She has great stories to go along with her interesting lectures. You won't fall asleep in her class.

Fairly easy and interesting class. I had it at 8:00 am so it made very hard to go. She doesn't ask that much of you, and she can be pretty funny, which is nice. I wasnt that interested in the class, but it definetly wasn't a painfull class to go to....:)

Lots of stories that really have to relevance to the class, but I loved her! She is the only proff I know that made an 8 am class exciting.

her lectures r interesting sumtimes, and at times they drag. On the midterm and final we were allowed to use books and notes, they were easy. she has two journal entries that r easy if u write bout what she lectures on and one paper that was pretty hard, but do - able.

She is a super awesome teacher. One of the best teacher at CSULB. The class is very easy. There are two journal entries, one term paper, midterm (open book and notes), and final (take home). If you take good notes you won't need the book. You have to attend every class because all of it will be on the exam. Every interesting class. Fun stories.

Kind of a control freak about assignments, but she admits that. Her stories are very funny and she makes nonverbal communication about as interesting as it could be. The term paper is hard though, but that's to be expected for a GE class.

i loved this class. such an interesting topic and she has a lot of knowledge in the area. her stories are great. open note/book midterm and take home test plus 1 paper. no reason you cant get an A. highly recommend dori!

You definaley need to go to class, the midterm and final are both open book open note, multi choice, but its mainly fromlecture. There is like 5 dance labs where you actually have to dance then write a short paragraph about it. Pretty easy class, go 4 it. Although the class is pretty boring

Great professor! She has a lot of interesting stories, some are a little long. I highly recomend taking her during winter-session. There are two papers and a take-home final. It is a relativly easy class as long as you do a though job on the papers. You should attend class, most of it is on the final. Plus her lectures are pretty entertaining.

the easiest class you will ever take. hard to believe it's an upper ge capstone. if you don't mind wasting your money, to get an easy A, take this class.

Great and Easy Class! All the notes are given to you if you come to class and FINAL is Open Note OPEN BOOk! Grades hard on Essays tho!

i loved this class. it was easy and fun. sometimes boring but Dori really gets into it with her stories. the final was open note/book and was a breeze. id recommend taking her to get this GE

She demonstrates the material with many examples which make it easy to understand concepts. I found her easy. You have to write 2 essays. Choose option 3 for the second essay if you want to write the most rewarding essay of your life

she makes the class interesting and easy to learn; however, grading papers depends on which TA, and 2 midterms and final are not open book and are in class. So if you want challege, feel free to take this class. Hard to get A....but easy to pass with a C.

Shes funny at times, and tries hard, but the information itself is boring. Don't have to buy the book to do good in class but you MUST by the packet. Everything you need to know is in the packet. Papers are easy. Tests are open book/packet/note. If you come to class and takes notes in the packet, you are set. Easy A/B.

This professor is funny most of the time, but it gets boring after a while because she exaggerated to much. She is very strict on the paper, and it's fit for a upper division capstone. Tests are open/book/notes. Be sure to buy the course packet, use it, and take notes in it. It's your bible to pass the class. It's easy A if you can write well.

easy class. much more interesting than theatre so take this instead. lectures can get a bit boring but she does take role. you need the book because the tests are directly out of the book but theyre open notes and book. two writing assignments that arent too bad. dance labs are a lot of fun!!! overall great class.

Wonderful and inspiring experience. She was very animated, had wonderful examples, and had a great sense of humor. Her 2 writing assignments are creative exercises, and she expects that you put some good time into the work. If you take good notes with the outlines she provides, you will do wonderfully on the open note tests.

WARNING: as of this semester, not all of her tests are open book&note so please don't be fooled. Our class grades consisted of: a midterm (50?'s), 2 papers (5 pages and 3-5 pages both in size 10 font) and a final (75%) open book & note. I think she only does take home during winter session. If you don't have lecture notes you won't get an A or b.

This is an interesting class because of funny her stories. She has a lot of fun with the subject and makes it easy for the students to understand the material. I would take her again because her lectures were so enjoyable.

Class can be a little boring but sometimes fun when she tells stories. Some material is interesting and pertinent to real life which is cool. I got an A without trying very hard. Just show up, do the 2 papers and take the 2 OPEN BOOK tests!

This is a very easy class. The writing assignments are easy and so are the exams-which are open book. Just make sure you go to class and take notes. Dori tells a lot of stories and is fun to listen to.

Very nice Professor, likes for you to call her Dori. Very easy A, open book open not class. Only 2 essays which are easy to do. Lectures in the beginning are very interactive and toward the end just her lectures and stories. I never bought the book and I am still getting an A. Take notes and pay attention you will do well.

This course is a no brainer. Paying attention to lectures(which are fairly interesting at times)will only help with understanding the outline in the course packet. Req'd: two papers (which are leniently graded) and two exams which are open book/notes. Take advantage of reviewing the midterm during office hours before taking the final, it's exact.

Great teacher, she explains the material very well. Two papers, midterm, and final. Follow her EXACT model when it comes to the papers tho bcuz she'll mark you off. Tests were open-book, open-note. Great class too - she made it fun. I RECOMMEND HER.

Open book/note tests. Just take good notes and you will probably get an A and you won't need to buy the book. She passes the subject matter on well, though sometimes her views and political beliefs are a little strange. It is not a boring class though.

Awesome teacher and very easy class. Learn how to read body language and detect deceit - very cool stuff. Midterm, final, and a paper. Just go to class, take notes on her lectures and the midterm and test is right from her lectures. Paper is very easy with the structure she has you do it in. Awesome class to take for a capstone, A++ class

Classes were interactive at times with all students participating. But once in a while, the class would go off topic with something not relevant.

I love Professor Levy. She makes everyone laugh. Attendance is crucial because if you attend all her lectures you will learn more in class. Make sure to read the articles and take some notes. Her exam and final is both open notes. Make sure you are organized for the tests. There is only two tests. And there is 2 essays which is a piece of cake. You will love this professor and you will not regret it.

Pretty fair and simple class. Goes off topic once in a while, but stays on topic for most of the time.

Very easy class. 2 midterms,1 final;both open-note, open-book. Take good notes because book doesn't cover everything on exams. She has you attend two performances. One consists of 3 different written tasks. The other is just 1 written review. Both are simple. 6 dance labs-for each there is an easy lab report of 2/3 questions. Nice, answers any ?'s.

This class was so easy. There were 2 short papers. All the exams were open note. Just come to class and take notes and you'll be fine. Dori is nice and has some interesting stories.

Points given for attendance. There are 2 essays that are not so difficult. 2 Midterms and a Final, which both are open notes/book.During class you just take notes and listen to her somewhat humorous stories. I highly recommend this capstone, not because its very easy ^_-

Didn't enjoy the class at all - it went by extremely slow. She's unclear what she wants and is a tough grader. She talks way too much - even during film clips. The only fun I had in this class were the labs.

Dori knows what she's talking about doesn't put up with any lazy students in her class. Go to class, take notes, and you will do well. I feel like Dori's sense of humor is misunderstood for being rude, and the students are too sensitive. Dori is great.

Really great teacher. She uses a lot of power points. The test are all open book but make sure you study.

Easy A. Take good notes in class and write in a lot of detail on the papers she assigns (only 2 the whole semester). One mid term and One final which were both open book open note and lots of videos.

Amazing lectures! So interesting, you never get bored. She really knows her stuff. 1 midterm and a final which are open notes. 2 papers which aren't very long. Attendance is mandatory. Best part of class are her Dori stories. I would take her again.

Good professor, i liked showing up to class everyday. I was surprised to take the midterm and see questions on things she mentioned once. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING SHE SAYS. Dori stories are cool but some just seem made up. you only need the book for the midterm the final i didnt use it.

TAKE THIS CLASS ! she's hilarious and lectures are fun. Took 8AM class, and everyone was awake in the class. Learned a lot, but you must take a good note in class to get an A. Books are not helpful when it comes to the tests.

Great prof! Two papers that are 3 pages long. Two test, midterm and final which are both open book and open note. Really easy class to get an A in but only if you attend class and take really really good notes. Write down everything she says because it will be on the test! Lecture was fun and informative. Would take her again in a heartbeat

Don't worry, no actual dancing required! Dori is hysterical and class time flies by. Deadlines and expectations are crystal clear. Only two short papers and a midterm and final, both open book/open note. Just come to class and take decent notes and it will be nearly impossible for you NOT to get an A! You will enjoy this class!

Professor Levy is amazing. Take her and you'll see a change in your attitude, you'll actually like to go to class. She makes lectures and/or topics interesting by using life experience examples (Dori Stories) and overall its a pretty chill environment. Take tons of great notes, open note & open book exams.

I loved her class it was a breeze after having three difficult classes. Dori is funny and cares about her students. just remember take very good notes each word counts!

Class was honestly not that bad. Professor Dori is very passionate about the subject and it's usually the people who feel that they are "different" that question her frequently. Her exams are not all that hard, since they are open EVERYTHING minus electronics so if you've been paying attention then it's an easy B class. The A depends on your essays

This class was recommended to me by a SOAR advisor to fill units. Was super easy. No homework. Just show up to the 1 hour class and pay attention. Teacher loves her subject and really wants everyone of her students to do well.
