This is an English class, so if you want to have good grades you must read and write a lot. Miss Lewis gives all the tools for the assignments. The class is a bit difficult but not impossible, she is available outside class to help you. However, you can not be late or miss more than 3 times. But she definitely helps you if she sees you try hard :)

Professor Lewis is one of the kind at Miami Dade College. I selected her this semester (ENC1102) and last semester (ENC1101). She makes you feel comfortable with the subject, improves your knowledge and cares about your grades.

She is super caring & nice. The whole class was remote & she is super organized & has a very good class set up. If you procrastinate & are lazy i don't recommend. She assigns ALOTTT of homework but its super easy & all will be well if you are ontop of it. I recommend her.

Professor Lewis is AMAZING. She gives you 2 assignments every week, but they're easy. She's well organized and clearly loves what she teaches. If you complain bc of the assignments, then idk what you're doing in college because her assignments are easy and are allowed to turn in late, even at the end of the course.

Great professor, Ive even decided to take her again for ECN1102 thats how much I enjoyed her class. She is very clear on what to do and how to do it. Answers emails quickly, very kind makes sure everyone understands assignments. As long as you do your work how she says and when its due youll have a easy time and a good grade. Not a hard class.

Professor Lewis is very nice and truly cares about her students. She sends 2 assignments every week, the only thing is that they open and they're due on the same day. If you have a lot going on in your personal life and don't like writing this professor isn't the best fit for you.

Professor Lewis is a great teacher, she does give a lot of home work but she is very fair with how she grades giving you up to 5 days to submit an assignment late. As long as you do your work you should pass the class.

Prof Lewis was amazing! I had a good experience with her for enc1101. She does assign a lot of weekly work, but if you don't slack off, you'll be fine. No exams, just essays. She's really understanding and helps you out when you need it.

All assignments are EASY. Discussions are mostly your opinion and you respond to 2 other classmates. 3 easy essays and a final research paper. She responds to messages pretty fast. I took her fully online and all the assignments are laid out so you understand them easily. She only replies to assignments if you need to fix something.

However, the professor tends to go off on tangents, which takes up too much class time. It's important to focus on the essays, as they make up 60% of the total score. Be sure to work hard on them and avoid using AI, she will know.

Professor Lewis is an outstanding professor, to say the least. She gave useful feedback and responded quickly to my emails. As long as you stay on top of your work, you'll be fine.

For an online 6 week mini term, it surely was a fair amount of work to be done but the actual work was not difficult. We had to do about 5-8 discussion posts per module of interesting and fun topics. She graded exactly how her rubric says she would. There were short quizzes per module, 2-3 essays and a final research paper. I recommend her!

Prof. Lewis is great at what she does. She is extremely understanding and clearly loves her students and her work. Had her for summer 2023 for a 6-week course. The entire course was done in group projects. Each week had a new assignment with a presentation at the end of the semester. She always gave extensive feedback and graded very fairly.

I believe that Prof. Lewis was amazing. When I had her class for ENC1102 she was so chill. She gave us one assignment per week and it wasn't even anything too hard, just a discussion assignment. Prof. Lewis is beyond amazing! You get2-3 short stories per week and talk about them in class and have a discussion assignment that you can choose one of the options she gives due on sunday. There's 1 midterm paper but she gives time to complete it we had the option to work with a partner. She is very caring and understandable. Def. recommend her.

Get ready to put in the work. Lots of assignments but they are very easy and clear to understand. For example, reading poems and analyzing, Watching a short movie, and writing your point of view on a certain topic. Great teacher. Clearly loves what she does. A lot of assignments are easy to get above 100% if you put in the work.

I had her for ENC1101-1102 and she's really a sweet heart if you grow close with her and engage in class. You can tell she's very passionate about her career. She does give lots of writing assignments, so I do recommend to see a tutor of some sort because some of the topics are like really hard lol. Attendance is mandatory in her class.

She was very passionate about her job. A bit of political and weird opinions on real-world issues but overall she was very helpful to any students who needed guidance,1 discussion + 1 packback a week, 2 papers =1 midterm paper, 1 final paper. The final was on whatever we wanted. Due dates were at weird times, you can ask her to change it though.

depends on the student you are if you'll like/not her. She talks a lot but it's cause she cares and doesn't give final or mid-term. Not so much homework and ALOT of time for assignments, if you need an extension let her know a minimum one day before due date shes very understanding and polite. 2 research papers and one group presi, dont be lazy tho

Just a 'heads up' her classes do involve LOTS of work, daily writings/readings etc. so be ready to dedicate some good time to studying & assignments for this class.

Absolutely love this professor She goes above and beyond always. I took her last semester for ENC1101 and had to come back for ENC1102.I don't like, writing but the dynamic and way she organizes the class makes it fun, its a class that makes you want to think. I'm very grateful to have had her as a professor and if I could take her again I would.

She's AMAZING! Easy ass work! She might give a "lot of work" But its an assignment once a week that takes 30-50 minute... She also will give extensions when ever you ask her before its do! We have to write one midterm paper and we get like 3 weeks... Honestly it's a really easy class with a good teacher.

Recently taken this professor and could not recommend more! Honestly she is very chill, and explains thoroughly so no ones really confused and gives good feedback. Her assignments are pretty easy to understand, usually one a week. All in all just pay attention to the reading and you should be fine.

My ENC1101 professor displayed exemplary professional skills, particularly in the aspect of their explanation of the content very clearly. Their mode of instruction was well, planned, and it was like walking through the material step by step, and they always took the most relevant examples to explain the writing, related concepts.

I will say some of the assignments a little near the end she can be particular in what she wants you to submit which is why I put "tough grader" but to be fair I missed the first two assignments.
