someone needs to stop her terror.
Not Good!
loves what she does, extremely interesting -- great if you're an english major
Very easy, as long as she likes you. Not much homework, but lots of reading.
Dr. Morosoff was the best professor I've ever had, even after transferring to a University. As long as you attend class and do your reading, you will get an A. I did, and I'm not a constant A student.
Great teacher, loves her subject, but doesn't practice what she preaches. Seems too busy to give help if needed. Would highly recommend her just for her enthusiasm and mastery of her art, also for value of material learned.
The class was interesting.. Dr. Moroscoff is a great professor.
she is prett good
i loved this class, expecially when we studdied descartes (my fav philosopher)! i'm gonna be a philosophy minor because of her class! "i think, therefore i am."
I enjoyed this class. Morosff explains the very-hard to understand readings well and makes class very interesting.
She's great...a true intellectual. She loves what she does, and she knows her stuff.
pretty easy, but if she doesn't like you, you and the whole building will know it. she's a screamer! she does know her subject and class is interactive so, stay alert. if you're attentive and pretty quiet you'll do well. i did.
Dr. Morosoff is an excellent professor and I would reccommend her to anyone taking a philosophy course.
kinda out of her MIND and a tad bit forgetful.
She is a very nice lady who cares about her students. A few warnings: don't be late for her class, and do not disturb her when she's teaching a class. She means buiseness so prepare to study.
good woman, jokes alot, which makes class interesting, and examples clear. Very strict, but nice at the same time, you'll enjoy the class even if it's not your field. She'll change your way of thinking in a heart beat. Trust me.
extremely down to earth lady, makes class very interesting...highly recommended
Best teacher at macomb by far. Its hard but she makes you want to do good. Very good class
best teacher I have ever had and the strongest woman I have ever met. What you learn you may not use in your career but it will stick with you for a lifetime!
Dr.Morosoff is the best teacher at Macomb. I was not interested at all the 1st week of the class, but she changed my mind once I got to know her. Very down to earth, happy person. The readings and class discussions are great, even if you don't like to read, like myself.
Well, she got quite a few good reviews, but I have a horror story. She has an attendance policy where if you miss more than three times you fail automatically. She refused to bend this rule for me when I had surgery and had to miss three weeks. Very upsetting since it was past the drop date.
Very strict on grading papers and her tests are *very* hard, they cover way too much information and are 100% fill in the blank which is usually the most difficult type of test. For that reason I wouldn't recommend her even though she tries to make class interesting and obviously loves her field.
Great teacher, very interesting although she hates it when u dont listen to her.
Nice lady but a bad professor.
Excellent Professor..........
Dr. Morosoff is completely and totally awesome. Her class is the most interesting class I ever took at macomb. She is extremely interesting and I actually enjoyed her class.

I think she expected too much from her tests, like if you didnt put EXACTLY what she want you would get no points for it, plus she foamed at the corners of her mouth which made it really hard to pay attention
Very erratic and too strict about attendance. She often was disorganized and would not have test/homework papers graded on time or would have left them at home. Not very interesting. I don't recomend it.
morosoff was exremly down to earth and she respected all students. she made the class extremly interesting and enjoyed having class discusions! she really listened to what you had to say. she is an excellent teacher and teaches this course very well. i strongly recommend her to everyone!!!
She is a wonderful women that is very into what she teaches. She does not give tests for this class, your grades are based on papers that you write. At first she can grade a little hard but if you do just as she asks and follows her guide lines you will get A's. She makes a boring subject interesting and is easy to talk to. She will help anyone.

Although I had no interest in this class she made it really enjoyable. If I ever have to take another PHIL class I would take her. BEWARE! Paper writing is extensive. Use the TUTOR she gives you! It really helps your grade!!!!!
I love her, she is the best at Macomb, she is awsome. Phil is not easy but she will explain and will be no problem. I liked her exams, not hard if you read your notes. I love her
She is an amazing teacher that makes everything very clear, and she omits nothing from her lessons. She made this subject very interesting and has inspired me to move farther in studying philosophy!
Really nice lady, but this is a tough class. Don't take her if you don't plan on attending every single class. Her tests are extremely hard, and consist only of essay questions. She will do what she can to help you, and I suggest giving her all of your papers to proof read before turning them in. Good class. I recommend it.
I found Dr. Morosoff very difficult to communicate with and very rude. She was not helpful at all. I would not recommend her to any student having to take an Philosophy class. I would suggest they go with another professor.
BEST PROF. I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. she's soooooo clear, very nice, and humorous! TAKE HER CLASS you wont be disappointed!
Very Knowledgable professor! Honestly the reading is like a foreign language!lol but her understanding and comprehension of the material is remarkable!really knew how to explain everything in great detail.
SHe was an interesting lady. She is nice but she could flip out at any moment. I did good in her class but i was intimated by her. Some of us would ask her for help and she would grab her hair. Beach if i ask you for help then help me dont just throw a fit.
Class attendance is a must. Buy her CD and use it!! She was very disorganized! However, I enjoyed the class discussions......
Excellent teacher. She makes very difficult reading material easy to comprehend and interesting. Do the readings, study, put effort into your papers, stay on top of your work and you will do well in the class. You will learn a lot! I recommend her to all!
She was a very good teacher. Some things were just new to me and was hard to comprehend, but by attending class it helped out a lot. If you do the readings and study you should do well in this class. I recommend this teacher.
Dr. Morosoff is very straight forward. She gives you a cd with helpful notes, class expectations, and the majority of the mandatory readings. She is respectful, but her class is not easy. You have to do work but there are no surprises out of her. She lets you know what she expects and if she cannot help you with something her tutor can. 5
I would like to adivise all fellow students that just 1 month ago this professor had many bad reviews. She must have complained because they are not listed anymore. She is so miserable in her own life that she makes it a point to take it out on her class. She is by far the worst profeesor ever. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, YOU'LL BE VERY SORRY.
Great instuctor and very knowledgable. Do the readings, participate in class, and you'll have no problem. Quite particular on grammar, so be careful when writing papers. Go in with a good attitude and be on time. Excellent instructor!
This professor was great. She didnt have time for games that some people wanted to play. She wanted everyone to do Well. She helped me through one of the toughest times of my life. We talked and she allow me to confide in her. She is an awesome lady. To this day she still speaks to me and ask how am I doing.
She teaches very well, and philosophy ias not easy - it is all about understanding the material. Cut her a slack because she has serious health issues! A very cheerful character for sure. She is strict but extremely helpful. She has a great grading system, meaning she is understanding and tries to ease stressful times for you. When you have to writ
Nice class, and interesting topics, but her personality is really difficult. If you ask a question she might not like, she will make you feel very stupid. Sometimes unorganized. Too strict on students entering the class, or being absent. Just overall rude, mean, not approachable; do not reccomend.
Do not recommend. She makes you feel very stupid and uncomfortable if you want to ask a question. She grades very hard, and you dont have much work to make up your grade. Shes strict and honestly sometimes rude. Although, the topics in this class are very interesting.
Completely unprepared and unprofessional. Is loud and rude. Takes a liking to certain students and they can do no wrong. Reminds me of being in the 6th grade.
Her class was pretty fun. Expect to read plenty of articles and write plenty of papers. She grades really tough on the papers. Have her check your papers before turning them in.
She is by far one of my favorite teachers a macomb. Her classes are insightful and interesting. She goes over everything in class and is more then willing to answer question. Read and go over the material, you should be fine
If you are fat and ugly, you will definitely be on her good side, if you are attractive and thin you will be DOOMED from the start. TRUST ME! Therefore, look to take this class with another professor.
Too demanding. Better to instill love of philosophy than to be demanding. I think many of the students are jaded and just want to get the class over. Should just be intro to philosophy. Reading one book of each philposoher won't give you understanding but only misunderstanding.
When Dr. Morosoff grades your paper the grade you get depends on her mood. She is very unfair. I have had many professors and have never reveived a C before. If you confront her about your grade the grade on your next paper will be even lower.
SHE EXPECTS SO MUCH FROM YOU!! She is also very sarcastic, ugh! So if you take her, make sure you are all eyes and ears because you learn about 3-4 different philosophers before each test. You have to know every little detail about each one!! When she explains everything to you, it's pretty interesting. DO NOT MISS CLASS!
Dorothy knows her stuff and she will make sure that you do too. She is very prepared and gives each student a CD that contains much of the information you will need to review. She doesn't play games and is very passionate about what she teaches. She has fun stories if you listen to her talk and she is very animated which makes the class fun.
DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH DOROTHY!!!! She can be a real Witch. She grades unfairly & thinks that she is always right. She also has to learn how to say Human. She says it Uman, drops the "h". She needs an attitude adjustment!
Tough Teacher! I took the 6 week class in the summer Whoa! Our grade consisted of the 5 essays that we had to write. She graded very hard. She does NOT believe in extra credit. She even made the comment that she rarely gives out 100%! I heard other professors were easy, not this one. Attendance is mandatory if your late she marks your papers down.
ethics with her was a blast. the discussions were fun. though she does grade kind of tough, I'd reccomend her for philosophy.
good teacher. her notes are a mess, she jumps all over the place while explaining philosophers. she can be very rude, i spend half the class praying to God that she won't call on me. haha. just do your reading and your golden.
Interesting class...You need to be involved with discussion. Morosoff is kinda...Difficult. She has her moments. Grades strictly on the essays. Not a bad class though, you just have to be prepared.
she was one of my first professors at mcc. at first i found her to be a bit demanding, but now after having other professors i really miss her. she is a great teacher who really enjoys teaching her philosophy.
I have very mixed feelings about this professor. She's very passionate in her lectures which make it very interesting, however her tests and quizzes are very detailed so make sure you know the material! Something that disapointed me though is a comment she made about essays, she said she begrudgingly gives As. Make sure you show up to class too!
Professor Morosoff is a great professor she makes it clear what she is expecting. do not expect this class to be easy it's not but at the same time she is very fair and if you do your work and show up to class she will give you a good grade! just try hard read and ask questions her lectures are long but very informative. Great teacher take Her!!!
I fell in love with philosophy becasue of dr. morosoff. She was and still is my favorite teacher by far. Attandance is mandatory and She does grade hard but if you pay attention and read all the material this class should be a breeze. I thought Dr. Morosoff was also very helpful and understanding when it came to missing assignments.
she is not bad but i dont like her you have to read alot i cant follow her but she is ok only she give mid and final exams her mid term almost same from review and her final is like essays
showed up every day did my best still got a d .I would not ever take her class again.
She isn't easy.I took the 4 week summer class with 6 more classes.I didn't have time for all the readings which were 30 pages a day just for this class. She expects you do alot. Got a C not good but fair.I think this class is good if is taken for 16 week. You can learn alot and enhance your reading & writing skills. She reviews midterm exam final is essays
I cannot believe the rather low rating Dr. Morosoff has. She was a wonderful teacher. Incredibly passionate and knowledgable about what she teaches, and if you show up, read, and actually contribute, you will do fine. The reading might be a lot for a midmester or summer class, but for a 16 week class, it's not bad at all. Loved the class.
Very good teacher. Take her, and you will learn a lot.
Great teacher, her lectures reflected the work and the ONLY way to pass this class is to attend, if you slack off by not doing the work, or showing up you will for sure not pass, all that is basically asked is show up, read and turn in what is asked, very easy to talk to about problems and issues, i took both into and ethics with her and is great!!
Warning! Avoid this teacher like the plauge. She is terrible. She is very rude and a tough grader. She will make your life a living hell if she does not like you. I am an all A student and I got a C in this class. It ruined my 4.0 GPA. Do NOT take this class with her if you want to get a good grade. Needs to be fired immediatly.
I find Professor Morosoff to be a marvelous teacher. She's funny and her class is refreshing. If you need help just talk to her, she'll try to steer you in the right direction. I don't know what the people who wrote the negative comments did to get on her bad side, but she's nothing like that. This was my first semester in college, & I'd recommend
Very passionate and interesting teacher. I don't know where any of the bad comments come from. I was actually afraid to take the class after I read some of these ratings, but I'm very glad I did. She's a great teacher and I have a good understanding of the material. If you want to learn and really think and talk about issues, take her class.
this teacher expects a lot from you when u go to class. it is very hard to understand the material and she will not help you understand it until after you've taken a 10 point quiz everyday. so you won't do good unless u try very hard. be careful if you take this class its going to take a lot of effort and time in order to do well.
This class and instructor was a refreshing surprise! Anyone that has a problem with this professor needs to take a look at themselves! She is passionate, knowledgeable, and very interesting. She will bring out the best in you and prepare you for your future academic endeavers! Do not be intimidated! She wants you to succeed!
great teacher very passionate. those who talk badly of her must be slackers and she has no patience for that. instructions clear, gives cd with everything you need on it cant get much easier. stickler for attendance. youre paying to go to school, BE THERE.
i think this teacher is writing her own reviews because of the wording being used seems just like hers so BEWARE!!
She made class interesting. She loves hearing other people's ideas and she shoots down the pretentious people which made class more bearable/ funny. But she is serious about her work. You have to read a lot but she always reviews the material. Exams aren't too hard. The only difficult things are the essays.
Awesome Professor! I was scared to take Philosophy because I had no idea what to expcect...after having Prof Morosoff I LOVE this class. She expects a lot from her students and there is a lot of reading to be done outside of class, but it's interesting stuff!! Definitely reccommend others to take her class!
"I think therefore I am" This professor is an excellent teacher and passionate about her material. She is a brilliant woman, but sometimes I think she believes everyone is as brilliant as she, with a phd. Shes tough but this class is very interesting and I really enjoyed it!
I've taken a lot of college classes, and for an intro class, she expects a lot of students. You have to do the readings, which can be difficult. Tests are very long, but if you study hard and do well on the 1st 2,you don't have to take a final. 2 papers. The film paper is fairly easy, she lays out exactly what she wants. Just follow directions. Not easy
the most horrible professor i have ever had. expects way too much for useless information.
First half of the class is very boring & bland. Second half is pretty interesting. There is an absurd amount of reading to be done though, & she does a quiz at the begining of the class on the reading. Most of my class failed the quizzes. But she is a good teacher. If only she'd do the quizes after the lecture it'd be a better class
Dr Morosoff was an excellent professor. The readings were difficult but she made the class fun. I recommend her for Ethics...the second half of the semester is more exciting than the first half.
14 years later....still remember things I learned from the good Dr. Thanks again Prof Morosoff
Great teacher. High expectations. Time consuming. Best life lessons - ever. I use this stuff all the time.
Great instructor!! She made sure we had the best experience at all times. She was willing to share her experience and knowledge in such a patient and kind way always making sure we understood the material. Highly recommended
I loved having her as a professor! She really makes you think about the topics of discussion. At first, I thought the exams were going to be really hard, but as long as you take her EXACT notes, they're SUPER easy!! Even the paper for the end of the semester was easier than I expected! Going to every class is helpful and she LOVES participation (it will reflect on your grade).
Theres a lot of reading, and some is long/boring, but its an easy A. There are few papers and one presentation, but the rest of the hw is just reading. Lots of open discussions. Morosoff is a great teacher. She is very passionate, and helpful, and just a great person. She loves her job, and you can tell. I would definitely recommend her.
I loved this class and Dr. Morosoff. Ethics (for me, anyhow) was full of really great information. You can't slide by without your text book as it's used frequently (the class itself is very reading intensive.) Highly recommend!
She is a great professor. Very interesting and caring. The reading is not fun but the discussions afterward are great. You have to do a 10 minute speech in the class but she grades it easy
I enjoyed her class dearly! She is a wise woman and I loved talking to her! While there is a lot of reading to do, the discussions we had in class were very interesting and eye opening. Some of th readings were astounding to me and I enjoyed them dearly! Highly recommend her!
How was i lucky enough to have her as a professor for three classes is beyond me. I went on to transfer to one of the best liberal arts college in the nation because of her. She is intelligent, brilliant, helpful, but not easy- and it is for your own good. . I am now in graduate school and i have never had such a great professor. She is the best.
The class is very interesting and has great class discussions but I think the way she grades is unfair. I got As on the homework and a C on my term paper and ended up with a C+ in the class. She is very set in her ways and not someone the is easy to approach.
I relly like Dr. Morosoff. Follow her instructions and handouts word for word and you will be fine. Great discussions in ethics. She wants you to do well.
In 2005, with her cold logic, she embarrassed me one day in class when I started questioning, yet who respected me so much, even though I was the youngest student, she exempt from taking her final because I had proven my aptitude so well in her intro class, taught me that when one’s will to know exceeds one’s ability to know, one makes mistakes.
She was a very nice teacher but her class is very difficult. This is a phil class and she expects you to wirte all your papers in phil format without informing you of that at the beginning of the semester. She pulled me aside and told me that I am a very good english writer but we are not suppose to write like that. So I was marked down like crazy.
The best proff I havever had. I took her in the accelerated 4 week spring class. You requires you to attend but she made it so I did not want to miss. The CD she gives is great and her test are over what she covers. I was afraid before as I had never taken a class like this being a science major. I am soooo happy I took it with her!
There are professors who try to inculcate you with their political views while you're in their class, and then there are professors who even use textbooks written by political think tanks. Doctor Morosoff is of the latter variety. Moreover, she thinks she is God's gift to writing; you may have published papers, but she will give your essay a "C."
She was AMAZING, she opened my eyes to a whole bunch of things I never would of thought of. Her reading assignments were sometimes hefty, but some of them were inspirational and stay with you.
She makes you want to learn and do better.
Best professor at Macomb! We are so lucky to have access to a teacher of this caliber at a community college. She is more than fair with tests and quizzes, no tricks and offers extra credit questions. This is a must take professor. Changes the way you look at the world-what a good teacher does.
Great lady. Make sure you can get the extra credit part of the exam. These questions are worth the most points!HINT-They are usually found in the first couple of lines from the readings. If you know these lines you will not have to study for the other part of the exam!
Great lady. Love her! Make sure you can get the extra credit part of the exam. These questions are worth the most points!HINT-They are usually found in the first couple of lines from the readings. If you know these lines you will not have to study for the other part of the exam!
Read only the first couple lines of the readings. This is where the extra credit questions come from. Do not really need to study anything except this. PS You are welcome!
Excellent professor! I loved her class, and made me even more interested in Ethics and Philosophy. One of my favorite classes throughout my college career. She incorporated her own experiences in the class and loved to talk about her travels. I'd definitely recommend her!
of all the classes I've taken, hers were the most interesting. She used real life examples, and taught relevant material. not an easy grade, but she was very fair and very motivated.I would recommend taking any of her classes if you can spare time to really learn from what she teaches.
Very smart, fair and interesting teacher. She is very helpful and her class was so much fun. Take it you won't regret it you learn so much
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HER! It is ridiculous in the expectation of material and what students are supposed to learn. She does teaches based on her opinion and she does not apply any of the lessons outside of those opinions. If you are looking for knowledge and reasonable material to learn, this is not a class or professor you should take.
easy A. she is funny and passionate. she is clear and will tell you what you need to know for tests.
You couldn't find a nicer person at MCCC. She'll help whenever she can, more of a friend then prof.Class has a lot of reading but its very interesting you'll learn a lot about yourself. I DID. 5 quizzes on readings and 2 exams, one being a take home!If you plan on coming to class to play-FORGET-she'll call you on it. Best Prof Ive had.R.R.
She missed half of the winter 2014 semester but overall i liked the class. She has reading quizzes, an oral presentation, presentation questions and 2 exams. 1/2 of the midterm is take home and the final is take home. she is very good at relating her subject matter to real life concepts and expects the same in the presentations. JWS
very nice teacher, so amazing, took her online for intro to philosophy all her papers are based on what you think so it is very hard to do poorly, last paper this semester she gave us free 100% surprise. Awesome woman only 1 page paper and test each week not obnoxious amounts of discussion posts and logging in every day like others ive had love her
She is a great teacher that really makes class fun, I enjoyed going to class, and loved hearing what she had to say. The tests are tough. No multiple choice. You have to study real hard if you want an A. She's an awesome person in general.
I TOOK THIS CLASS ONLINE. PLUSES ARE: - LOGING IN TO THE CLASS AND MAKE DISCUSSIONS IS NOT MENDATORY, YOU HAVE TO ONLY INTRODUCE YOURSELF AT THE FIRST WEEK -ONLY ONE PAGE ESSAY DURING A WEEK + TEST WHICH IS TIME LIMITED MINUSES ARE: - NO FAST FEEDBACK AT ALL, YOU HAVE TO WAIT ALMOST A WEEK TO HEAR FROM PROFESSOR -GRADES ARE POSTED LATE AS WELL -
Interesting class! great discussions. Quizzes and exams. Gives study guide. Take lecture notes. Books are low price. No research paper.
Worst teacher ever, my grade was .2 % close to a B+ she still gave me a B her exams were impossible so she cancelled all of them the average was like 50%. Plus the last few assignments i didn't get any grades on them, so i basically wasted my time writing them. If you can skip her do so, and if you take it at a university you will get an a for sur
Absolutely TERRIBLE! You have to wait sometimes more than a week for her to answer an email, and waited until the last week of class to grade everything. Tests are tough but essays are easy. Dealing with her as the professor was more of a headache than the actual class work.
She is a very quirky old lady. She suffered numerous personal tragedies during our semester, and thus class was cancelled a few times. She is a wonderful woman. I truly enjoyed her lectures and the subject matter. She gives a lot of quizzes but they are usually pretty easy. Overall a pretty easy grader.
This class was ridiculous on line. Morosoff didn't long on for weeks at a time the students of this class had to call the dean of humanities twice once to fix an error in grading and once for her to open assignments so we could do them! this was an 8 week class the test were terribly hard and she only gives you 30 minutes to answer 20 questions
My biggest qualm was that there was no rubric to justify the grade given on essays. I received a very poor grade with absolutely no justification on one of my essays. Also, she is an incredibly slow grader. I didn't get my final grade until nearly 2 weeks after the last day of class!
I took ethics and it was by far the best class I have ever had. She is the sweetest lady. She had a few personal issues and called off class several times and she os very slow with getting your grades to you. However, all of that is worth it for how much you learn about yourself. Easily the best Prof ive ever had.
Brings candy on test days. Interesting lectures which help with tests. Super energetic but cancels class at last minute
Ethics was the best class I have taken at Macomb. There's a lot of class discussion based on lectures and readings. The book is needed, but you could probably get by with borrowing someone else's or finding the text online. There are short quizes based on readings. She's slow and unorganized at getting grades back. I learned a lot from this course.
This professor is absolutely one of the best i have taken at Macomb. She is constantly engaged and tries her best to keep the class informed about upcoming quizzes and papers. The lectures are inspiring and insightful. I think if you need a humanities credit at Macomb take Ethics with Dr Morosoff.
Overall a pretty easy class the way she taught it. If I had anyone else I don't know if I would have done as well. We didn't use the book as often as she said we would, I opened it maybe twice. She's a great teacher, but is slow at getting back grades and it takes her a while to answer emails. But other than that it was a great class.
Alright here's my problem. If you are teaching an online class you have to check your e-mails! It would be weeks before I heard back from her, and it was only an 8 week class. She also did not report my grade so I received an "NR" (Not Reported). I e-mailed her 3 times about this until she finally submitted my grade. I would not take again.
I normally do not rate professors but my experience with this one was so terrible I had to try to warn others. Be prepared to email and not get responses. Do writing assignments and not receive feedback or grades for a least 2-3 weeks. Does not follow her stated means of communication via her syllabus. I would strictly avoid this prof if you can.
Always forgets what she lectures on from the previous class. She doesn't have power points, she writes random things on the white board. Random verbal pop quizzes from readings she assigns. Takes forever to get back grades and doesn't have a clear syllabus on what she grades. Gets off topic and can be kinda rude. Wouldn't recommend her at all
Her lectures make sense but once you go to study for a test, you realize how much information she's thrown at you. There is SO much to study for and it's hard because the tests are not multiple choice so you have to remember information word for word. As an intro class, I don't think it should be this time consuming/difficult.
Took her three weeks to grade barely one essay, so there's pretty much no way for you to know what you're doing wrong. Doesn't reply to emails in time, and she's very opinionated so you can't get a full grade. If you care about your grade, then avoid her.
8 week online class-- week three and I've turned in 8 essays and only had one grade come back. Waiting on the dean to get involved, because I'm not envisioning a way to pass with this level of communication in an ONLINE CLASS.
Professor Morosoff is a bit all over the place, but she is an overall super genuinely nice lady and she really cares about her students. She has AMAZING lectures, but their only amazing if you read the many materials that she assigns through the semester. You get a lot out of this class, learn alot about yourself. I would take another class of hers
Took her class in person. Wouldn't recommend online. She definitely reacts kinder to faces she can see, and is nicer to students who participate in class. She is kind of all over the place but if you do the work and go to class it's an easy A. Also brings candy to class! She is like a second grandma tbh.
easy class, take it in person. Her grading is awesome makes it so you basically cant fail. gives out free quizzes so go to class. shes a little all over the place but she older so just bare with her. very easy going & SUPER nice lady. Participate in class, read the material, & do assignments & you will pass with an A. I highly recommend taking her
I truly loved taking this class because of Professor Morosoff. Getting to know her through out the semester was a pleasure. Everything about this class was easy if you listened and participated. will always remember Professor Morosoff as being the best professor i have every taken
Currently in week 5 of an 8 week online course. Took her 2 weeks to get the right syllabus posted after many troubles. Sent only one email to which i got a rude response back. Takes forever for her to respond. Assignments keep changing after everyone completes them. Week 5 assignments still locked when tmrw is week 6. Only assignment posted changed
Took her over this Summer. In week 5, she was locked out of the website to post homework. She gave us extra time to complete week 5. Total of 15 assignments. She grades pretty tough. It's hard to get a 100% on an essay, A little disorganized, if you are good at comprehending EXACTLY what the question says, then you'll do good in her class.
She made the online class 16 weeks long instead of 8. She has many instructions and rules on all the essays you write. She is a tough grader. The quizzes and exams are timed. 20 minutes for 20 questions! Some questions take longer so it is unfair. She takes FOREVER to grade things. She is very rude and thinks she is better than everyone. Don't take
Shes a good teacher, shes hard on grading. she lectures the entire time. little notes to take. lectures go outside the subject sometimes. she gives quizes here and there. not much of an extra credit teacher either. also before you sumbit all your papers she makes you get them signed by a tutor for proofreading or she drops you one letter grade.
It does not look like she spent much time preparing exam. She exactly copied the questions out of internet. This is plagiarism.
She is a great professor. She gives great real-life examples to help you understand the material. The grading scale is great. Would definitely take this class again.
She is such a mean professor. She does not care to put anyone on the spot. Gives out random pop quizzes. Expects too much from students. Currently want to drop this course, would never take her again!
Professor Morosoff is a great teacher, she opens up modules the first day of the week, she gives precise detail on when an exam is due or discussion, and tells how much it is worth. She grades once everyone has taken the exam. would take again
Don't take her, directions aren't clear, she always takes days to respond back and she always responds back with an attitude. if you ask something about clarifying the assignment, she'll just tell you to read the directions and won't help.
Professor Morosoff is an inspiration to everyone that takes her class. She is so passionate about her material, and, even if you aren't a philosophy fan, you'll enjoy this class.
Professor Morosoff is really nice and gives good feedback on papers. She gives a clear criteria on her grading and If you do the exams and papers by the due date, you will get a good grade
She is a great professor to have in class. She thoroughly explains concepts and helps students to grasp the concept if having difficulty. Her examples are clear and has clear criteria for her grading.
She only has a syllabus for rules and everything else was a surprise. The class had to write for separate papers for the midterm. She expects way to reading, and if she felt the reading was not being done she threatened the class with pop quizzes.
Took about a week to receive an answer back from her through email. She doesn't upload grades consistently. Textbook problems: she would assign wrong page numbers and then not even bother to fix the problem. Essays aren't too bad because most are about a page.
This professor takes weeks to respond to any questions. She seems very disorganized and has a lot of typos in her directions. Her grading is inconsistent. Take her at your own risk... Not a good professor at all.
It takes forever to get a response. She says in the beginning you will get a response within 48 hours, it took her 4 days. One of the weeks were locked until the day AFTER it was due and 8 of us emailed her. She is rude in her comments when giving feedback- I dont feel professor should be, instead show ways to improve nicely and helpful.
Professor Morosoff is such a sweet lady. She kind of takes a while to get our assignments back to us, but that really did not bother me. Her lectures were always interesting. The second half of the semester was all just presentations, which was relaxing
Professor Morosoff is a sweet teacher, but if you talk about things she does not like, she will give you a low grade for your assignments. So just make sure your essay or discussions are what she wants to hear to get a good grade. I feel it is very unprofessional that a teacher can grade things by what she likes or wants, so beware.
She does not return graded homework in a timely fashion (sometimes not until after the next assignment was due which you needed the original assignment for). She also will not respond to emails from students, and when she does, she tells you that she can not help you. Dr. Morosoff also marks down assignments but does not specify what you did wrong.
Literally started grading all of our assignments after week 4. This was terrible because after she checked my first essay and gave me feedback there was no way to use the feedback for the rest of my assignments because they are already turned in. Another annoying thing was the absolute lack of instructions for all assignments.
This was the WORST CLASS I have ever taken! She does not interact with the class whatsoever. She does not respond to any emails in a timely manner. I had to email her weekly JUST to get that weeks assignment released. She takes WEEKS to grade assignments. If you want zero direction, no blogs and no support then this is the class for you!
Having finished a Graduate Degree then going back to school, I can honestly say this is the most disappointing professor I've ever had. Grading methods are very unorthodox and unwilling to help. Her feedback is absolutely worthless and gives one sentence descriptions on assignments, then marks you down for not following directions? DO NOT TAKE!
very kind and respectful teacher, get on her good side and make conversation! her grading can be tough but overall great teacher and would recommend.
Takes forever to grade homework and grades very harsh. Never received a full 10/10. Always was 7.8/10 and shell add comments like good. Last day of class I noticed one of my assignments wasnt graded so I asked for it to be graded. I had a 91%. After she graded my it grade in the class became a 89.4%. She refused to change or give extra credit.
One of the worst online professors I have ever taken, she grades assignments so late and never replies back. If you have a question about the material, you have to email her at least 3-4 times in order to get her attention. Syllabus, guidelines, & directions are so confusing. She writes too much information with no clear claim. DO NOT take her ever
Not quick at responding to emails or questions you may have. Grading criteria is clear, with lots of reading.
Each week you there is a quiz and an essay discussion board or paper. The essays are simple. Quizzes are difficult, just make sure to read the book and notes.
The material is easy, but Dr. Morosoff is unclear with grading criteria and takes long to grade assignments. She gave 0% to nearly everybody on the first essay because we didn't follow a rule that wasn't in the original rubric, and left very condescending and rude feedback. If you like having peace of mind, I definitely don't recommend her class.
This professor grades everything so late. She gave me a 0 on an essay but did not tell me what I did wrong. She simply told me to "go to the RLC and get help." We have a week left in our semester and has only graded one essay out of the whole semester. I wouldn't recommend her class if you have other options.
Didn't grade anything until the last two weeks, does not respond to emails or calls. Trying to contact with the dean of her department about filing a complaint since she falsely accused me of plagiarism and knocked my grade down. The dean is now avoiding my calls. Perfect example of how broken our academic system is. This woman needs to be fired.
This Dr is the absolute worst professor you can take. Tough grader despite the fact that she is absent the whole semester which gives you no chance to better your assignments. Goes missing half of the semester. Dont even think about emailing her because she aint even gonna to reply. You teach yourself shes useless
If attendance was mandatory she would fail. Impossible to engage with her because she never responded to any messages or emails. Offers no relative content for understanding work from book. Unclear assignments and makes work more difficult then needed. Save yourself a lot of stress and just avoid her class. Bad Professor!!
This professor is by far the worst professor I have ever had. DO NOT take this class or any class with her. She is EXTREMELY rude and provides negative feedback. When this class is opinionated she makes it about her instead.
Honestly, I am so mad that I even took this class with her. She is awful. I would highly recommend not taking this class with her. It's her opinion or you are wrong. I was holding a 4.0 and because of HER OPINION I was no longer holding a 4.0. I'm going to email the dean about her because this is ridiculous that she can grade the way she does.
This professor should have retired years ago. Rather than using the textbook, she uses copied articles from 20+ years ago. Doesn't grade in a timely manner-so midterm and final prep next to impossible. No learning objectives shared with class. Lectures tend to get sidetracked most days to include stories of her family. Spend your money elsewhere.
This lady was a whirlwind. Where do I start? Well I'll start by saying pick any teacher but her. She doesn't reply or give instructions on anything she could CARE LESS. My class had to work together to figure out what we had to do that is literally how bad she is at replying & giving instructions. You don't want a teacher like this I promise you.
Horrible. I would never take her again. She is unreachable and then is very rude.
One of the worst professors I have ever had. What seems like a easy class in the beginning is quickly changed by the end of the semester as she waits to grade all writing and discussion post such are majority of your grade until the last two days of the semester. She is unreachable but email. grades tough if your opinion is different then hers.
The other ratings are accurate for the online class. Do not expect to be able to communicate with the professor. She did go missing for a week. She does not grade quickly. (Weeks) However, from my experience, the professor was an easy grader. Not much to the essays other than using the readings for your ideas.
Worst professor I have ever had. She won't respond to your emails, doesn't grade assignments in a timely manner, and when she does provide feedback she is rude and not helpful. Beyond that her grading is inconsistent and instructions are unclear. She asked for a two page paper and then her response was that I wrote too much, it was two pages?
I am very surprised to see all of these red reviews. She was very ill when I had her years ago, and I checked back in with the college for her contact to find that Dorothy had passed. She was very responsive. I don't know if her declining health had an impact on her teaching. I witnessed her apologize for imposing her views onto a student.
The prof is respectful, but grading can be tough. ChatGPT and Unstuck AI were helpful for study prep. Overall a decent class, though attendance policy is unclear.
