A really good a REALLY helpful prof. I am a night-owl but it is worth it to get up for her 8 am class.

She is nice! That course is VERY EASY if u go all the class and do all the assignment by yrself!

Dot's help on WebCt is unbelievable. If it werent for her so many people would fail this class. She checks the internet for our questions all the time even during the weekend. She is definately one of the most dedicated teachers at any university.

Dot is really cute and she explains really well. She also uses visual aids, which doesn't help me but it must help some people. Sometimes she mumbles but overall, she really seems to like teaching and helping explain ideas.

This teacher is very helpful if you go see her after class.. When in lecture she needs to learn to take a deep breath, relax, organize her thoughts and continue... Mumbles like she has a bag or rocks in her mouth and makes many mistakes when she rushes... all in all not too bad though

definately mumbles and talks fast at times, but she seems to really know the material well (i.e. make examples on the spot) and she is very helpful outside of lecture

Dot's an amazing teacher! Constantly available for questions and concerns, and goes the extra miles for not only her students but any students in 1P97/8. Interactive games, visual demonstrations, and lots of resources provided a great learning experience.

I didn't have her as my 1p98 prof, but I know the work she put in. With the web assignments, tests, managing the tests. Wow! She provided us with enough resources to succeed. I came in from High school with a 74 from data management. I ended up getting 95% in this class. Thank you so much dot!

I couldn't believe how easy she made calculus. The way she taught just made so much sense and I wish other teachers that I've had would be more like her. The course is structured in a way that helps you to succeed and tests/exams are very fair. It is almost like she wants you to do really well! Imagine! I ended easily getting a 95 on the course.

She is just an AMAZING prof! Highly recommended for students who have never done stats or calculus before or hate math, because she makes it so much fun!

I had her for both my STATS and Calculus classes and she is by far the best prof. I switched into her section after originally having Professor Kerman. She is great and is such a nice and fun prof. The only problem is she mumbles sometimes, so make sure you sit at the front of the class, it definitely helps.

Extremely dedicated. Very patient and always available for inquiries and questions. Out of the several professors teaching stats I'd strongly recommend her lecture.

Amazing teacher... got 60's in math all through highschool, came out of calculus with a 90! Has a tendency to talk super fast sometimes, but her notes are very helpful. She makes it soo clear!

Dot is just a fantastic Math professor who really goes out of her way to ensure that you succeed in her courses. I'd highly recommend her to anyone who has ever suffered unnecessarily with a bad Math teacher/professor. Dot will make you love Math and Statistics (or at least make it as painless as possible!).

Great Prof! I dont like math but she made me like it. Gives lots of examples to help your understand the concepts. She uses random objects to help you visualize the question which for some people helps then understand the question. Little childish but it works at the end of the day.

Also for 1p97. She is a great teacher. she likes to illustrate her lessons by placing objects on the overhead which is actually kind of funny (eg. fresh sliced watermelon, leaves, etc.). copy down all notes and you will do great.

I wish she teaches me ALL courses! :) She's amazing at making you lovin' any type of Math. I will never forget her kindness and warmhearted feeling when I told her about a problem I have, she totally helped me out. She's so supportive, responds to any question clearly and in a way that you can get a good mark after all. Definitely the best in Brock

let me tell you bro, there are only few TEACHERS in Brock. I mean people who can teach instead of rephrasing the textbook. GURUS in another word. She's def. one of them. Dot speaks to your mind and makes everything so easy. She's also tremendously brilliant at reviewing the material before tests. One downside though, the class is 500 students!

Great Professor. Extremely helpful outside of the classroom. Sit near the front, she talks quietly sometimes.

Want a good mark in her exams overall 80%+. Do webwork's start early easy 26%. Midterms to finals exactly the same year by year from the ones she posts. Understand the concepts by doing her practice problems then near exam time just do her practice exams. Easy 90% there is no surprise, those who rate her low never studied hard enough!

Dot Miners is a special kind of person....she actually teaches. And not only does she teach, but she explains everything in such a way that there could be no possible way for you not to understand. She's brilliant and her enthusiasm is infectious. I have never ever....EVER understood Calculus...until I sat in her class.

Really sweet, very helpful, and tries her hardest to make sure the students understand the material. Often brought sweets and timbits to class to explain her material better, and then handed them out, which is always a positive

She is very hard to understand initially but as the course progresses you get use to her clarity and volume. Course is quite easy and Dot is EXTREMELY helpful if you fail to understand a concept.

Course material can be tricky if calculus is new to you. This course is pretty much a repeat of high school calculus. Dot is VERY helpful if you need additional aid. Can be a little tricky to understand.
