Mr. Bridges is an great teacher. He is very patient and helpful. One of the best teachers ive had. He cares for his students. He does not make math serious, but rather fun and enjoyable.

I really appreciated that Doug made himself available to everyone by being in the Math Learning Center. Although, the MLC has tutors, I felt getting clarification from your specific teacher was more beneficial. His re-explaining something to you, in a way that everything else had been explained, was very helpful.

Doug was a fantastic teacher. I serve in the public school system and I am happy to know that the kids I serve will be moving on to teachers like DOug. He could be found in the Math lab when he said he would be there and was always willing to help. If I could not make it to class I would email him and he was responsive quickkly. Thank you!

Great Professor who is very clear and straight forward. I would recommend this professor for anyone who is needing to brush up on their math skills. Uses handouts to explain Sections so you wont have to read a 40 page section of the text book. Quizzes are half based on your knowledge and the other half is based on your home work. Over all Exelent!!

Mr. Bridges is by far the best math teacher that i have had he helps you tremendiously and has you take tests like most teachers do but he shows you what you got wrong and has you correct them because he wants you to understand the material. He is all about helping you and having others help as well. He is a really good teacher!

I had not had a math class for 14 years when I had Doug. He is a very organized teacher and his handouts are extremely helpful. He puts in time and even seeing him in the math lab during the 2 years at GRCC he still says hello and asks how my family is doing. I appreciate his dedication and time invested in his students.

Doug Bridges was a really great teacher, I have not been in school for over 16 years and he really helped to understand math. He would meet me any day I needed to. I also made sure to have his class for Math 70 and I will have him as a professor for Math72 as well.

He aims to help you succeed in any way. He is very nice, respectful, and respectable. Lucky you if you get him as your teacher. He sometimes will whip out little life lessons or stories that help with life in general or college life specifically.

This quarter was a challenge for me as I experienced unexpected major health issues, I was actually gone for about 1.5 months all together. Mr. Bridges emailed me to keep me updated, he did everything he could to help me not only pass but understand the material. He is so understanding and so helpful. While Professor Bridges can definitely allow the other students to take him off on some tangent, this is definitely the class for you if you struggle with math. He's clear and a little high school in his explanations sometimes, but you will not leave this class without learning what you need to. He also helped me when my uncle died unexpectedly.

Mr. Bridges is a very good math teacher. Math is not my best subject and yet he was a very helpful instructor getting me through my math requirements. He really wants students to pass and do well. He will work with you and allows other students to help you in class. He allows students to do extra credit to help you pass and achieve a higher grade.

Great teacher, thought I sucked at math til I had him. Some people get bored with how he explains and re-explains stuff, but if he didn't do that, I would have probably failed!! Nice older guy with a LOT of patience and tolerance for everyone. (Including ungrateful students)

Mr. bridges is an engaging and easy to follow instructor who makes Math available to all students and learning abilities. I was not one that thought myself good at math, but I got a new respect for it and enjoyed math for the first time ever. He offers extra credit and a pass on the final with some requirements so a raised hand day 1 is important

I really enjoyed Mr. Bridges' math class. He was easily able to convey the material to us. I like how he can not only handle the 17-21 year olds but he was very respectful of the older crowd (30-40 somethings). He also gave us a golden nugget that I will take with me - networking with your peers is a vital tool in class success.

This space is too small for all the reasons I feel he is the best math teacher. I never did well in math, it was always confusing to me. Now it is my favorite subject and I look forward to learning more. You must pay attention in class, there are a lot of helpful tips you will learn. I am so grateful to him for this new skill.

Doug is a fantastic teacher. He speaks slowly and intentionally with all of his instruction. The workload in his class is reasonable and fair. He is clear about his expectations and strongly encourages study groups. I learned a great deal in his course and found it easy to earn a 4.0. He is also very witty and clever, which made class enjoyable.

Mr. Bridges is the best teacher here at GRC. The amount of work is fair, and actually necessary to learn the subject. He gives practice tests right before the exams that are almost identical to the exams. He encourages study groups which really help. He is very funny and witty which makes class entertaining. He spends a lot of time on one subject.

Mr. Bridges was always looking to help you if you wanted to learn. If you were reasonable, so was he. If you got booked with homework, from other classes and missed your math homework, ask him, and he will most likely reset it for you. Point is, if you want to learn, than perfect, if you want to be on your device, he will kick you out. Simple.

SHOW UP TO CLASS!!! It's that easy. It's a math class, so if you miss something, you'll fall behind. Mr. Bridges is VERY fair with his grading, awarding partial credit where you missed it by a little bit. He also has a bad habit of extending the deadline for homework until right before the test, so on that end he's very lenient. Would take again!

If you go to class and do the homework, Mr. Bridges' class is extremely easy. He (usually) bumps homework assignments until they're due the Sunday before tests. He's very eager to work with students and has a policy where students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or better can SKIP THE FINAL if they actively help students in class. Excellent teacher!

Mr. Bridges is a wonderful math teacher! Always struggled with math but because of this class I finally have a better understanding of it and passed with an A. He's very helpful and has a good sense of humor. Clear grading material. Not too difficult if you show up to class everyday and do the math homework. Highly recommend!

Mr. Bridges' goal is to have everyone pass this class. He encourages working together, asking questions and taking advantage of the tutoring/lab close by. He is available in the lab before tests in case there is a last minute need to go over something on the test. Learned the material and enjoyed doing it!

At first he might seem weird and unprofessional. But don't let your feelings decide for you. After some time working with him I'm 100% sure I'll take next math class with him. He cares if you care. Bridges really cares about his students. He is heavy on lectures so attendance matters for your own good. Probably one of my favorite teachers. Mainly because he actually cares about getting you a good grade, and he has a personality. He's typically available in the math tutoring center for help. On test redo days, he spends the entire class helping whomever. He doesn't like phones, and he expects homework to be done before class. Typical class rules.

Took Professor Bridges for Fall Quarter (Hybrid Math 097). I would recommend this professor. When you are confused, hes finds a different way to explain the problem and he relates them to real life application. Very kind and willing to go the extra mile. Disclaimer: I took a hybrid math class. I haven't been in school for years so relearning everything was a challenge and overwhelming, but Mr. Bridges was supportive and understanding the entire way through. He always offered to help and gives you multiple ways to increase your grade to ensure you pass. I would highly recommend him!

He is very accessible and knows how to teach each student according to their level of math. This instructor makes math fun and makes you want to learn.

Douglas Bridges is one of the nicest teachers in the green river until now I have met. The way he teaches is very helpful for those who are struggling with math or those who haven't taken math for a long time. He goes into every little detail to make a student understood. I completely forgets how to solve for square roots and he showed an easy way.
