Very interesting prof. he wanted to convert all students to geology majors, and almost did. He was funny and cute sometimes, but his wardrobe needed work, especially Star Trek shirt and shorts in the winter. Nicest Canadian you will ever meet!
He is a Great teacher, and He cares about the success of his students.

He is not easy, but very motivated and motivating. I learned a lot. Truly a great educator.
This guy is intelligent, witty, humorous, down-to-earth, EXTREMELY HELPFUL, and best of all: He truly seems to be a fabulous person at heart. It is a shame these types of people--- much less professors---are few and far between.
Very smart guy. Enjoys what he does and does it extremely well.
this dude is crazy!...in a good way i mean...i found geology to be very frustrating, but he freaking loves it, and it's kind of contagious...possibly the best wardrobe of any teacher on campus!
A total nut. We were talking about tropical climates and he says, "hot and wet, the way I like my women" I kid you not. Seems a little full of himself, but nice enough.
This man expects you to know and remember everything from the notes you take and from the book. GY 111 from him is absolute hell. Takes attendance EVERY day. Tests are insane, especially considering it's a 111 class. DO NOT TAKE HIM (OR THE CLASS UNLESS YOU ARE JUST CRAVING USELESS INFO ON ROCKS!)
You must be prepared to take extensive notes with wild drawings of geological features. He enjoys watching student freak out over his lengthy study guides. His test are difficult but can be passed if you STUDY! He also takes attendence and it counts as part of your final grade. You will learn about geology , death, and destruction.
Tests can be kinda hard so you have to study!! Can be funny at times. Sometimes he would make coffee or bring in candy for class during lab tests. Will help if you ask for it. Very quick responses to emails. Good teacher I think.
This man expects his students to remember everything for the tests. And he the man takes attendance as if this was highschool! Seeing as this is a 100 level course and not everyone is a geology major he makes it difficult. Be prepared be graded harshly as there is no perfect answer no matter how good your answer is.
This man can be very biased. Thinks everyone should know every single thing about geology in a 100 level class, and laughs when you don't when his tests come around. His word lists for exams have over 70 words, but only a few will actually be pulled from it...Guess it's out of the question to narrow stuff down.
If you're looking for an easy A, don't bother, but this is an interesting, funny, intelligent guy who loves what he does, and is a genuinely good person. I can't imagine how anyone couldn't enjoy a class taught by Dr. Haywick. Downloadable web-lectures are extremely helpful, and show just how much more time and effort he'll put into his class.
Dr. Doug is one of the best teachers I've had here at USA. He will definitely get you interested in Geology!
Test are hard, but gives you a chance to make a good grade even if you don't do well on the test. Great personality, easy to talk to, and will help a student every way he can. If you care he will care.
I am not generally interested in science, but this class was awesome. Its not a breeze but I definantly leared some awesome stuff. The guy is hilarious and very passionate about geology. He will definantly keep anyone's interest. If you show up to class and download his web lectures (which he seems to spend alot of time on). You will do well.
AWESOME teacher!!! I hated the subject, but he at least made it very interesting! You have to study really hard and his tests are far from easy, but he provides plenty of lecture notes online and is always willing to help you out in every way he can. He has a fantastic personality and is very fun to talk to! Not an easy A, but you'll learn a lot!
Great Teacher
Find a buddy to hang with in the lab and the class becomes twice as easy. Great teacher; he almost convinced me to change my major.
His tests can be somewhat difficult but what you learn from his teaching is very much worth it, you can actually apply it later. He knows his stuff & loves teaching it. He's not mean or arrogant, he's a pretty cool dude. Even if you do bad on tests, he works it out w/the labs so you can make a good grade, if you try. He'll bake scones for you! Yum.
He is very interesting! Tests are a little difficult, but fair. Labs really help your grade- do the bonus labs!!!! Really good teacher!
Great class. I hate that it is over.
Provides the 5 necessities of life in class, so you won't die.He used his own thorough notes, and rhetoric, which made big concepts easier to break down in class, and provided plenty of visuals to help. There's a lot of work, but not unbearable, whelming, or unusual. So, pretty much the easiest teacher EVER(kidding),but definately an afternoon class.
Very fun, quirky, gives you food---nice teacher to have if you have to take freshman seminar.
Very good teacher! Passionate about material.
He is a great teacher! He really knows what he is talking about. However, he tends to teach over your head sometimes. Summer GY112 is too fast paced. Be ready to study your butt off!
Please take him!I took the summer 4 week class that is fast paced, but I like to get it done and over with.He brought snacks everyday! He is really a great professor. If I could do it in 4 weeks and get an A.I know that you could do it in the Spring or Fall and do great!Study the webnotes, and take notes from lecture. No book for this class!!
Haywick has been the best professor I have had at South Alabama, out of all of my courses!
he makes getting up for class in the morning worth it. the material is interesting, and so is dr. haywick teaches it. you have to come to class and study, but as long as you're willing to put forth the effort, you'll get a good grade. plus, dr. haywick pretty much rocks the casbah.
Great teacher. Great character and interesting to talk and listen to. He will spark an interest in you for geology.
Very involved teacher. Study guides available on his website so you don't have to buy the book. Really enjoyed his class. Taking GY112 with him next semester and considering a major shift to Geology.
Dr. Haywick is a fantastic teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable on all topics that he teaches on and very easy to get along with if you come to class. His tests are a little demanding however, he gives all the answers in his lectures if you take good notes or print out his lectures. Oh yeah did I mention, he is an absolute HOTTIE...woo hoo!!!
Great teacher, interesting. Makes class fun, is definitly a HOTTIE!!!
Probably the coolest teacher I've had. really enthusiastic and interesting about the subject, which I hadn't anticipated being at all interested in. His tests are scary but if you take good notes, and be sure to utilize his webnotes. They're often entertaining and contain information he might not have covered in lectures.
Great class, a little disorganized. The discussion sections were great except that I mostly absorbed the information that others volunteered instead of coming up with my own. Dr. Haywick's easy going attitude was perfect for this class.
Great teacher. Made a hard class fun and exciting at times. Sometimes its over my head but he made it easy to understand! Great on field trips to Moscow Landing!
This was one of the classes I looked forward to attending. Teaches from powerpoint and provides 'textbook' online so you don't have to buy a book. All the information you need for his course is on his web page so you know exactly what to expect prior to taking the class.
Dr. Haywick is a really fun professor. He doesn't use a textbook but instead uses webnotes he has created based on different textbooks. When it comes to the tests, he gives you what you need to know to study ahead of time, plus one of the essay questions. He helps you out with the grades from your tests if he sees that you're trying.
Haywick is awesome. He is clear and precise on all material that is presented. You will not earn a A unless you work for it. Haywick uses online notes instead of a textbook. These notes are a collection of textbooks, and his experiences. Only weak individuals will obtain a D or less in his classes.
I took his lab only, but I liked it a lot. He's very clear and up front & you know exactly what to expect each class. I love that I didn't have to buy a lab manual. The material wasn't easy by any means, but he taught it well. Plus he brought snacks for us to every week, awww.
Throughly knowledgable in the subject and pretty good at clarifying terms and whatnot. Hard to get up with out of class but if you can he is willing to help. Tests aren't too hard, but you do have to know the material. Gives plenty of bonus opprotunities.
Dr. Haywick is a good teacher who tries to help you whenever he can. He does not GIVE you grades but will do his best to help you understand the material, and he will admit when he doesn't understand something himself. The tests are not easy so be prepared to study. There is a lot of material covered so you will spend extra time at school.
Awesome professor. Very helpful yet challenging
Dr. Haywick is a really great teacher, he makes Geology interesting and prevents it from being tedious. I'm very glad to have learned so much from him!
Haywick is a great professor. He might be a little different, but his stories are always entertaining.
Haywick is a very straight forward professor he gives you practice test and clear hints of what will be on the test.
He is a pretty cool teacher. Will attempt to crack some jokes(some funny some retarded)but overall the class is not that bad. You do have to come so if you want to skip, take a different teacher. You DO have to study thought to make an A. He does give you everything you need to make that A though. Wasn't to fond of the lab but take him for class.
Really great professor who really inspired me to be interested in geology. You will have to be prepared to go to class and study, but he does make lectures entertaining and interesting, and not having to buy a textbook was a huge plus. I definitely recommend him!
Haywick wasn't too bad of a teacher. I was not interested in the material before I took the class, and still am not after taking the class. I didn't like how we had quizzes every Friday, and had to do a geology map. Though he was a decent teacher, I would rather not take him again.
Make sure to take very detailed notes and drawings - you will need them by the end of the course as well as later in life!
Although Dr. Haywick dresses like an 80's homeless person, he is a professor worth taking. Definitely an eccentric character. If you're going to take his class, be prepared to come to class, study and to pay attention. If not, then steer clear, but if you're willing to put forth the effort, you will learn something. All in all, a good professor
This class was never boring, one of the few classes I actually learned something in. Must take good notes, and go back and study the powerpoints and notes online. He gives about half of the essential terms needed for the test, the rest are givin at the bottom of the online notes. Study those and you'll be in the clear. Overall I enjoyed this class.
I took the 4wk summer course and honestly think south shouldnt offer it anymore. Full term summer is one thing, but not the 4wk. Way too time consuming. Haywick is great though. Im a biology major with zero interest in geology but I made a high A on every test. It was do-able, but I wouldn't want to do it again. Haywick is very helpful and fair.
I took Haywick for the 4 week summer course. It is a lot of work! If you stay focused and like to study, then it is for you. If you enjoy the summer... do not take this class!!! There is an incredible amount of information you must KNOW and UNDERSTAND. You can't memorize your way through this class. Overall, good class though
haywick is a good teacher in that he wants you to actually learn the material, not memorize it. it is time consuming but if you put in the time you can't get less than a B. very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and helpful. i recommend him to anyone.
I took GY112 & GY112L for a summer semester so it was accelerated. Dr. Haywick is nice and helpful. Tests are hard...mostly essay and fill in the blanks. Lab exercises to turn in for each lab. No book needed because he provides study material. Do not miss class and be prepared to study study study! Fun class, but effort is needed...not an easy A.:)
I had the accelerated summer course of Geology 112 with Dr. Haywick. It was very intense and a lot of studying is required. We didn't use the book he gives you the labs at the beginning of the semester and has his slides online. He always wants to help if you need it. Make use of his online test and study guides. He TELLS you what his tests are like!
Great class - no text req, but lots to study. Haywick is an entertaining teacher - keeps you interested. You have to study and earn your grade - this is not a gimme class. Also had him for lab, and compared to the other profs, his lab is WAY harder - so much so that it really should be an honors class.
Haywick is horrible. he acts like he knows everything and you know nothing. then, when you need help, he makes you feel worse by saying you should already know it and you are not prepared for anything in life. he is a very degrading person and I don't recomend this class unless you are a masochist. He truly makes you feel like schist.
Dr. Haywick is not what I would call an EASY teacher, but he is a really great teacher. he is a really cool guy, he makes it really fun, his classes are great. I would definitely recommend taking him if you need geology classes but expect to have to do a lot of work! if you work hard though, you will make a good grade. he is fair just make an effor
Be prepared to work and study hard! Great teacher, very enthusiastic, good stories, very helpful. DO NOT GET BEHIND! You will come out of his class knowing everything he knows about the subject. I had fun and really enjoyed his classes.
I took Dr. Haywick for Geology 302. Mineralogy on the other hand is a HARD course if you like a social life. You MUST study be ready to be in the lab until midnight or later. It was a fun class. Haywick is a good teacher but his tests are very hard. A lot of essay questions and "short" answer. He is there when you ask for him ALWAYS.
Hard class, but he helped in any way he could. He was always in his office when he says he would be too. I wasn't interested in the class at all but while eating at the T-rex restaurant I saw a fake trilobite and actually knew what it was and I thank Haywick for that... Learned a lot.
This is a demanding class and you should be prepared to spend every minute in lab plus an additional 4-6 hours per week. There are several projects that can be quite fun if your not a lazy arse. Haywick is a busy professor that can be hard to track down for help, but is very helpful by requiring you to think with his responses.
Great teacher! Fair grading. Very hard work must be put into studying.. all nighters are a must! He is an great cook and will bring cookies for class. Stay on top of doing your mineral sheets and be as descriptive as possible. He his a genius just a social function level. He is very willing to help outside of class!
This isn't normally his class so it seemed like he needed to make it harder than the normal class to compensate. The tests were hard and definitely know contouring and stream flow. Overall the class wasn't bad. He is a great instructor and will go out of his way to help with whatever if you are willing to put in the work necessary for the grade.
He is an ok teacher a year or two he was way better. Now he is full of himself and if your not a descent looking female or willing to suck up to him he doesn't have to much time for you. He will talk about you behind your back so be careful what you say and do around him. The student he gets to T/a his classes are choosen based on favoritism
I confirm the last person that the TA's are based on favoritism, NOT on smarts. So are the awards he selects at semester's end - so obvious when a p/t, mean-spirited, unworthy student gets an award - not even in the top 5 of class grades. EXTREMELY favors females, unprofessional and talks behind students backs. AVOID if possible!
Great
From all of the people I have seen working under this guy doing research or ta'ing for him, they all say that he is fair...but he is tough and challenging which are good qualities for a professor. From my experience if you are interested in getting involved and doing things to set yourself above the rest of the class he will give you an opportunit
Dr. Haywick is a great teacher. He is certainly interested in his subject and has a good way of explaining the material so that it's easily understood by his students. The class can be hard but it is definitely worth it if you're even the slightest bit interested in geology
I enjoyed his class very much. He is passionate about his subject and his work. He is willing to help clarify any areas that you may find difficult. I took his class in the summer. I loved geology before his class, after, I love it even more. If you want a professor who loves what they do and who wants to instill that in their students, he's it.
While Haywick is a good guy and a good teacher, he is sort of jaded. He is very much from his generation and feels very confident about what he knows. However, if you want to learn about any aspect of science, he will learn it, teach it, and go above and beyond for his classes. He also makes awesome soup and brings coffee. I'd take him again.
He's a very well informed, but very biased individual. He's the type of teacher that will give you nothing to work with, and expect you to create a masterpiece. If you are a geology major, then sadly, you will have to put up with Dr. Haywick. He expects you to think that his class is the most important one you are taking, so the work load is huge.
Take geophysics to understand the concept of sea level as it relates to unconformities and cyclical changes....period.
Understanding the concept of eustacy as it relates unconformity, and cyclical changes that take place, is reaon enough to take the class. Angels are singing.
Great professor! He is enthusiastic and approachable. Very knowledgeable. Very reasonable workload, but he expects a lot out of your responses, so be prepared to turn in college level work. If you are concerned about anything, just go talk to him. He will work with you.
Very tough teacher, but you will learn from him. Prepare yourself for a lot of person experience stories.
This professor is hard. Expect to do a lot of work, some of which feels like busy work. However, by the end of the class you will have learned something. How much that is is entirely up to you. However, I cannot stress enough that you must prepare to give up lots of your free time to preparing for his classes.
An excellent professor. Attend class, pay attention, and take plenty of time to do the work, and you will come out fine. I have learned alot from Haywick and I'm sure you will too. Even if you don't want to admit it.
Loved this class! I would definitely recommend taking a class from Haywick. You will learn a lot, do a lot of work, and have a great time doing it.
This class was very informative and laid-back. Participation, as well as homework in the form of essays are required. If you pay attention, watch the movies, do the homework essays (most about one page in length), and take notes, then the class will be a fun/different/enjoyable experience!
Expects a lot from his students. However, if you survive you will learn a great deal about geology.
Dr. Haywick is a good instructor. His teaching method is clear and is relatively easy to learn. Sometimes he can drag on and on, but it is rare. If you are a Junior or Senior taking his GY 111 class, some of the academic advice he gives is rather useless for you; it is mostly catered to Freshmen.
Yes, this class requires work, but this is to be expected in an upper level class. In an upper level class you should expect to have to put time and effort into your work. He is more than willing to answer all your questions, you just have to ask. Overall I enjoyed the class. Take it! :)
Keep up on all the assignments and there should be no issues. The class requires a lot of your time but you get out what you put into it.
An amazing teacher. He's able to teach you and keep you entertained throughout the entire lecture. Also, he's CANADIAN woo!!
Before entering this class, I was not interesting in geology much, however Dr. Haywick made this subject so interesting I wish I would have minored in geology! The material is not hard, but does require studying. The weekely quizes are easy and the exams just require effort being put towards learning the material.
Enjoyed the class very much. A field trip to a planetarium or night of planet/moon viewing via telescope would have added more value to class IMO.
I loved Dr. Haywick. He is one of the best professors at South. Even if you are not a Geology major you will enjoy this class. You do have to study for the tests but it is not that bad since the material is actually intereting. :)
Dr.Haywick is probably one of the best if not THE best professors at South. Before taking Geology 112 Earth History I hated science and just wanted my credits so I could graduate. Now, after taking his class I wish I would of majored in Geology. I loved his class and I thought more, learned more, and worked more than in any other class. Doug Rules!!
Make sure to keep your notebook up to date at all times and you will be fine. Great teacher, you will leave understanding the material.
Amazing professor! Knows his craft like the back of his hand, and will help you in any way possible. He gives legitimate work assignments that have purpose and fiber. Very personal guy and loves to converse in class crack jokes on a whim. Get prepared if your taking 302 because it requires time and patience!
Dr. Haywick is a great professor he is very helpful and listen when he preaches on studying and all in all he rocks.
This teacher is extremely helpful. You need to go to class to get a good grade but if you miss he gives you some leeway. He explains everything in great detail and he LOVES his subject. I had no interest in geology before this class and now I'm seriously considering changing my major. It is the most amazing class you could take. Take Haywick.
Dr. Haywick has a cool way of teaching, but if you take him for an introductory class he makes it about as hard as a 300 or 400 level course. VERY strict attendance policy! All test are few MC and a lot of essay, fill in the blank, etc. He also gives a lot of assignments. Other teachers in the GEO dept give all MC test and no assignments.
Passionate about his subject. You must attend class!! His assignments are easy and if your having trouble he is willing to take the time to help you. His 3 lecture test are consist of MC, Fill in Blank, Diagram labeling, and one essay. He throughly prepares you for each lecture test. No textbook required. Online webnotes are available.
Proffesor haywick is a good teacher. I just think that the attendance policy is ridiculos. I would have recieved a B in this class but recieved a C instead bc of attendance. I feel that if I can make high Bs on all my exams and turn in my work on time then I should get the grade I deserve. Attendance should not be worth a letter grade end of story.
VERY interesting instructor. His lectures are clear and easy to understand, if there parts you don't know, he is willing to help. The tests arent really that hard, but will be intimidating. My only complaints is that he is attendance policy is a bit overboard, other than that, he is easy. I HIGHLY recommend taking this guy
Dr. Haywick is one of my favorite professors in the geology department. Prior to taking his class I heard a lot of negative things, but they are not true. The students that complained are just lazy and expect and easy A in ALL of their classes. Dr. Haywick really cares and wants his students to succeed. He is a wonderful teacher.
Students should quit belly-aching about coming to class. Get used to it. DH loves his subject and wants to give you as much knowledge as he can while he has you. Go to class, study, and be "present" and you will do fine. If you don't come to class and don't try and always have some lame excuse he will and should take the appropriate measures.ROCKS!
Dr. Haywick is an amazing teacher that is extremely passionate about his subject. He was a joy to learn from.
He is a very good teacher who is eager to help students as long as they are willing to meet him half way. Class is not to hard as long as you show up, pay attention and take notes. He is pretty humorus and keeps class exciting.
By FAR the best professor in the geology department! I am grateful that we have a teacher as talented as him at USA. I really learned a lot in his class. He is such a helpful and nice person who has really dedicated himself to teaching.
Good professor!! Made class fun and entertaining!! As long as students come to class and do the required work , they will do fine!! Certain assignments could use more clarity, but overall, i Really enjoyed the class!!!!
good man. good class. interesting lectures. rockin' a Duran Duran kind of vibe.
I had no idea how cool geology could be until I stepped foot into this class. Dr. Haywick is amazing and beyond! I don't have an attendance problem because his lectures are fun and interesting; how can you NOT attend class? I personally love his test format, which concentrates on the essay. There's no textbook, so read the webnotes! Love this class
Great teacher and a really nice guy. The hardest thing about this class was the weekly quizzes. They only cover what he went over in class that week, I just always forgot to study for them. You also have to do a time chart project, which is basically him giving you and A. I love his test layout also, not your average science test. And no textbook!
Great teacher! Very entertaining. I left the class with a pretty extensive knowledge about Earth History. Dr. Haywick knows so much stuff!
My absolute favorite teacher. SO incredibly hilarious & always in such a good mood. Quizzes usually once a week (5 minutes, but not hard at all). Attendance is mandatory. Tests aren't too hard. Extremely helpful in lecture as well as the lab. Definitely recommend taking him.
GY 111 with Lab. - Greatest. Instructor. Ever. Attendance is a must, and quizzes are weekly. The class is really interesting, mostly because he is so entertaining. I would suggest taking him for the lab component, as well. He gives you all of the things that you need to pass, but it is up to you to use them. I would suggest this class to everyone!
Attendance is 10% of your grade. He makes geology interesting. Definitely clear on what you need to know. Tests consist of multiple choice, fill in the blank, short essay, and choose 1 out of 3 essays. He gives you one essay to prep for prior to the test. Great teacher, fun class. Lab is only identifying rocks.
This is a difficult course and is taught by a very difficult professor.
I had no interest in Geology, but Dr. Haywick made class very interesting. He is a funny, caring, and sarcastic person. I almost failed his class along with the lab, but he was extremely helpful. He came to me with solutions on how to study and do better. When I improved he patted me on the back.
Great teacher! One of two teachers who have really inspiring lectures.
He's very passionate about his work. However, his tests are a bit on the hard side, you have to regurgitate all related info to the question. Always attend his class, too many add-ons/hints necessary for a test occur in class. Tests comprised of Multiple Choice, Fill in a Diagram, Fill in the Blank, Compare/Contrast, Definitions, and Essay.
Interesting lectures, good teacher, he answers all of your questions and makes geology fun. Come to every class and take notes and it will be an easy class.
Attendance is mandatory, unless you select his infamous "option 2" which i suggest doing, sinceI have done higher on all of the tests than the other assignments in that class. It's a lot of work, so don't think just because its a 100 level class you're going to cruise through it. Cause you won't, and you will fail miserably.
Out of all the teachers I had this semester, Dr. Haywick is by far my favorite! You can tell he loves Geology, and he explains everything so well. He has weekly quizzes and three exams. The exams are multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, short answer, compare and contrast, and essay (and he gives you the essay question ahead of time).
Dr. Haywick has been one of my favorite professors in my 3 years at South. He is a little hard when it comes to tests and grading, but as long as you come to class, take notes (which are online as well), and study you will do fine. He is very passionate about Geology and you can tell he loves teaching about it. Taking him again next semester.
Amazing professor, his teaching really helps you retain information.
Geology is semi- interesting, but with Professor Haywick, lectures are bearable and pretty cool. The labs for geology are not easy, you will have to memorizerecognize rocks, But if you pay attention and attend classes, you can easily make a good grade.
Dr. Haywick is a great teacher but this is not the class for an easy A. He will help you as much as he can but he expects you to be in his class and to listen to him. I recommend him for anything you can take him for.
No textbook! All his notes are online if you want them. Tests are multiple choice, definitions, comparecontrast, and one essay question. Very funny and loves geology
An amazing instructor and would not recommend taking anyone else for this class. Do not expect to do well in this course if you do not regularly attend class or lab sessions. He does notice who is and isn't coming. Very knowledgable about this subject and will gladly answer any questions that are not course specific.
Great teacher, but quite tough. If you are not a major I wouldn't recommend him. Tests are a variety of MC, short answer, and essay, ranging from mildly tough to outright hard. The labs require several hours a week (3-5), the lecture is a bit easier though. If you can find him, he is a great help, and is easy to get in touch with via email.
He's really an amazing guy, the type you thank later in life for preparing you for University. You will succeed in the course if you work hard for it. Don't be afraid of taking option B! You can tell he loves Geology and he can answer any question. No book, he shares all his own notes. I wish more Professors were like him.
A great intro college course to learn how to be a college student. Prepare to study the online notes and notes you take in class to prepare for weekly quizzes and test that encompasses: multiple choice, short answer, fill in the blank, definitions, diagrams. And the long essay question for each major test. No text book required. Take option 1.
Professor Haywick is an amazing person and is guaranteed to make you laugh. His lab is alright, but if you don't really try to understand the material, you won't pass. Do your work and be a decent student and he's always willing to help you out.
Passionate about geology, interesting and engaging lectures. This is a class you want to go to.
He's retired now, but just in case he changes his mind. He is a very cool professor the subject of geology is just difficult. I think he goes into depth too much which makes the class boring and leaves you unsure of what you need to know for test. Also, it annoyed me that he doesn't use Sakai so you really never know what your grade is til the end.
I know Doug Hay Haywick for his videos in youtube and vimeo, and I found his lectures extremely informative, excellent didatic methods, funny from time to time (which is good to keep students awake, and is proven to improve learning). In summary, and excellent lecturer as far as I can judge from the videos.
