can't explain very well
if he stopped thinking about the end of the day, it might have helped us
Extremely Brilliant genius and teacher
BORING, very bad prof... very unclear... if you think about it ... bleh!
Very passionate about teaching. Very smart, but needs to learn public speaking
Very Smart, goes through material quickly, attend MT and Fin. review sess.
Conducts his own exam review sessions on his time. Learn Public Speaking
Well... I mean... I mean... U know by Prof. Park
Good explanations, very smart, really helpful review sessions
very good professor!

Nice prof. Although he comes off as somewhat shy. Does not control the class well. Have to resort to "Please be quiet" (a la Elementary school style) quite often. Quite clear on the actual materials.
Great prof - don't listen to what others say, he's a genius. Though his verbal presentation isn't the best, his mathematical methods are ALWAYS clear. Uses his own notes, DOES NOT use the book, which is good because then u can see which ones u understand.
WTG DOUGGIE!!! KOREAN PRIDE MY K-BROTHA!
Explains proofs well. Could stand to put a joke or two in his lectures. Tends to repeat trivial things a lot.
sucks to be in his class
He explains well and has a nice steady pace in his lectures.
I brought my lunch to a tutorial one time (i had 4 classes in a row with no break), and Prof. Park took it a little too personally for some reason..
Park comes out shy at first and doesn't have good control over the class. Has A LOT of wierd moves/jestures during class lol. However, very clear explainations and gives the MOST amazing review sessions before the exam.
best prof ever
He got his Ph.D at Princeton, what more could you ask for?
Great teaching methods , good personality, keeps the class interesting, i love chinese ppl :)
Awesome prof. makes algebra tolerable. Very clear and understandable notes. Funny guy, likes to crack jokes about math ;) Makes wierd (funny) gestures with his head, and says hilarious stuff in an accent like dot dot dot (...)
This prof somehow manages to teach a dumbed down course in a unclear manner. The general ineptitude he displays inside the classroom is matched only by his lack of helpfulness outside it.
he's okaY!!
he is the nicest prof in UW.
amazing prof!
Good guy. Easy and clear notes. VERY Funny face expressions/gestures.
if you are planning to take MATH 137, my advice to you is...get into this guy's class. let's see...teaches well, enthusiastic, friendly, returns emails in no time, emails students on changes, and returns your exams the second day. need i say more?
PR! (Park Rawks!). He is so friendly and devoted, even giving a review session on weekend. Waterloo must hire more profs like him.
clear explaination..good exampels..very helpful
He was a really great teacher.
Clear
wow, what a useless prof. you're better off reading the text. it's smarter and nicer, and he copies off the textbook anyways. if you have him, run before it's too late.
A very talented and thorough professor. Lectures are very well presented and informative. Definitely one of the best professors in Waterloo.
Handsome!
Park's lectures are boring, and mostly incomprehensible. He relies on his powerpoints way too much.
Very dull lectures. No point to going to class...he literally just reads through his powerpoints (he posts them online).
the best prof
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TEACH, HOW TO TREAT STUDENTS. HE ALWAYS READS HIS POWERPOINT. HE IS NOT A PROFESSOR! :(
A fairly average prof in my experience. Not the worst prof I've had, but far from the best too. I thought he spent too much time on grunt work and not enough on the more complicated concepts, but that could just be because it was mostly review for me.
Is that ok???? Oh gosh it's ok Dr. Park. Really funny guy teaching a really simple course. Loved it.
Not really that great.. Reads off from his 'AWESOME' powerpoints and really there ain't much explanation what so ever. I didn't get a thing till I started going to Mike Eden's class. Seriously if very unfortunate you are forced to enroll in his class just attend another prof's lecture other than this prof
Awesome prof, has legible handwriting and makes cute nerdy jokes. He's changed his teaching style and is very informative and helpful. HE DOESN'T USE POWERPOINTS ANYMORE.
He makes some cute, nerdy jokes, which is probably the main reason why he's popular. His lecture notes are organized pretty well, and it's a lot easier reading his writing off the projector than the blackboard that most other professors use. He adds in his own tips too.
he is just great!
He's nice Prof.
he's awesome. Always give tips and hints here and there.
Such a funny prof. makes everything so easy and keeps class interesting
Great prof. very funny
Probably one the best profs I had in university so far. He made calc awesome. Super clear and explains tiny details that aren't obvious to everyone. Does exam reviews before every exam, which are practically the exams themselves! Replies to emails and actually remembered my name when giving out assignments (this usually won't ever happen in uni).
He is the most amazing professor I ever had!!! I hope I can have all my 4 years calculus classes with him!!! If you are in his class, no regert!!!! And if not, U NEED TO GET IN HIM CLASS!!!!
He is great Pro. He gives many examples and teach slowly. He is really nice.
He is AMAZING. He makes everything so clear and understandable. I switched to him after listening to one of his lectures! He is truly amazing!!!!!!!
Very nice prof. Clear and coherent voice, explains proof well. Writes very nice notes. Strongly recommended for 1st years!
His overhead notes are amazingly clear and he explains concepts thoroughly and slowly (so you can actually absorb it). Makes attempts at jokes (which are surprisingly funny). He's not, just hot, he's spicy!
I LOVE HIM !!!
Honestly I have a crush on him, lol. He's cute!!! Very helpful professor, explains everything, pretty and helpful notes. His notes are TREASURE! I went to his office hours, he wrote down pages of steps like in class and just gave me! Such a pity that I cannot have him next term. He makes nerdy and cute jokes in class, not boring at all!!!
You can't have a better prof. Perfect.
One of the best professors:)
I had him for both math 137 and math 138. I found that his speed in 137 was nice and slow but in 138, I got lost during lectures because there was so much material covered very quickly. Still, he had very clear notes and tried to give hints on what would be on exams. Great prof :)
He is great!!!
THE BEST PROF EVER
Park is the man. I had him for calc 1 and 2 (honours), and he is definitely the most effective and consistent lecturer - his notes alone are worth attending the lecture for (he doesn't post them online unfortunately). He's good spirited, precise, and teaches at a comfortable pace.
Best Pro ever
He illustrates concepts clear and his handwriting is also easy to clarify.
Legend
He is a great prof for Calc courses. Always really clear in his explanations and notes and has great midterm and final review sessions in class. Really helped make Math 137 and 138 easy for me.
Super clear notes and lectures, and gives concise email replies. Also tries very hard to help us prepare for midterms/finals. Definitely take courses with this professor!
I's all about the notes for this prof. Read his notes and read the textbook. Everything should become clear.
great explanations in class, easy to read handwriting .. not always great with questions during lecture, but if you go to see him after class he can clear up anything
He is such a nice and helpful guy and made a difficult course not as bad. Really good professor, definitely recommend him!
I love his notes! clear and helpful
tests are tough
Very detailed notes!
If you want clear notes, choose him; if you want help, never choose him. "beg for help"
This is a really good prof, his hand-writing course note is prefect!!!
Best professor ever!
Notes are very clear. I like his jokes in classes. Will definitely take his class again!
The best professor in waterloo. Will definitely take his other courses. Hope he will teach year 2 math couses! His class notes are so helpful. The BEST!
Good notes, helpful guy. His midterm and final review sessions are very helpful.
I like his notes very much. His notes are very very good and you will find them helpful when you prepare for the tests.
Frankly, I dont like the way he teach. Just keep talking and noting. But he is a nice guy!
Really nice guy with solid notes. Lectures can get a bit confusing at times but overall they are clear and he's always happy to help.
This guy's a boss. Note's prep you very well for assignments and midterms. Go to his exam review sessions because he blesses you with practice questions of which are a lot of similar ones are on the final and midterm.
Don't like this guy very much, just noting and talking. but he's notes are okay. Not very good at explaining proofs either
Great notes and incredibly chill guy
Great professor!! His lecture are very helpful, and notes are very detailed. Makes the most random but funny jokes during class. He sure helped make the course easier.
being rude in his office hour
While his lectures might be somewhat dry, his notes are amazing. His review lectures before the midterm and final are very important -- the questions he gives are helpful to prepare for the exams.
Rude during office hour. He is definitely overrated. There are a lot of profs that are simply better.
Even though he relies heavily on his PPT slides during lectures, he is very clear and always easy to understand. His extra review sessions before exams are very important. The questions he goes through in those sessions can help you a lot for preparing the exam.
He was rude during his office hours. He was being like he doesn't want students to come to his office. Bad prof
Very good lecturer, terrible at answering students questions.
Brought bread and circular cookie cutters from his kitchen to class to demonstrate cylindrical volumes
Best notes ever!
Prof Park's notes are amazing. Seriously, you can study from his notes without using the book at all. Unfortunately you have to attend the lectures as he doesn't post his notes online. He explains things very well and also gives hints and tips for quizzes and exams.
Great notes but hard to understand at times. Also is not the best at noticing questions and/or answering them. Definitely harder than math137. the final this semester really boned us... ik a lot of people that failed and/or had huge mark decreases (myself included)
Amazing lecturer!!! Very clear with his explanation of proofs and mixes them in with examples. There are 9 assignments (10% of the grade) which were very reasonable in difficulty, one midterm, and the final exam. The tests can be very difficult if you are not experienced with proofs.
Linear algebra is quite an abstract course with very little time to cover all the content. As a result, without going through the course notes after each lecture and before the next will leave you lost and will make you fail. He however does a great job at clarifying what is covered in the course notes though quite condensed in lecture.
