Hands down as good a professor as there is. I don't know anyone who couldn't benefit from taking his class.

You can pass his class just by his lectures. I took him in the spring of 2002 and I still remember everything he taught. He is young and makes learning about psychology fun and exciting. Don't miss his class.

In a class with as much material as Abnormal Psych, you come out of it so informed because of Sanders. He's real smart and knows what he's talking about. Awesome class, 5 or so quizzes, 3 semi-difficult tests, OPTIONAL term paper, lots of videos. Take it!

Sanders is one of the clearest prof's i've had. getting an a requires that you do well on the quizes, which is pretty easy. he's a good speaker and makes it very clear and easy to learn.

Sanders is an awesome teacher. He makes sure everyone understands what is being taught. Not afraid to make a fool of himself to make his lesson clearer. Like doing the electric buddy in front of the class.(Cerebellum). I recomend him to anyone taking Psych courses. Keep up the good work Sanders.

i thought this class was goin to be so hard then i got in ther and sanders just calmed all my worrys. hes one of the coolest teachers i have and on top of that hes funny so i give him a A+

he lectures a lot but he tells u what to take notes on. if u have him for gen pysch..dont get the text..just take really good notes. u never use the text unless u want to read.

Amazing teacher. Never thought I could learn so much from just listening to someone witout even reading the book. Hes pretty fun 2.

A fantastic teacher! Extremley knowledgeable and very funny. Not an easy teacher (some of the material can be challenging), but a teacher well worth having. His quizes are deceptivley easy compared to his tests, but the test are not hard if prepared for. Not a class where you can get a good grade just from listening unless you are a psych major.

I liked his class a lot. He keeps you very interested in the topics. He tells you lots of stories to help you relate to the topics. His test were a lot of work. They were hard tests that took a lot of preperation for. Overall I would say he is an amazing teacher. I would recomend his class just be prepared to study a lot.

Prof. Sanders ROCKS!!! This guy is great...But, study for his final for about 4 weeks. He'll tell you himself. Gives lots of quizzes, but, if you take good notes and pay attention you'll be fine. GREATEST LECTURES EVER!!!!!!

The best psych teach everr! He was really easy to undrstand and he gave you the questions to each quiz so you could study them. Gave lots of quizzes, but only a midterm and a final. Also very funny and approachable for any questions asked.

Seriously, the sexxiest teacher I've ever had at OCCC ... as if general psychology isnt interesting enough .. Dr. Sanders makes it that much more interesting with anecdotes and stories as well as funny ways to help you remember the information .. gave us our midterm and final question on the first day of classes .. Bravo, Dr.!

He is an excellent teacher. He teaches in a broad fashion. Doesn't give yo answer directly. Makes you think and want to learn. He requires you study. Gives lots of quizzes but give you the quiz question in advance. Every class that he teaches and I need I will take.

Totally awesome! Best professor! There are like 5 quiz's and two tests! He gives you the EXACT questions on every quiz and lets you know whats on the two exams! Take notes and read the text! You will get an 100! Quiz's are multiple choice!

Professor Sanders is by far one of the best professors at OCCC! There are 5 quizes and two tests (1 if you don't have to take the final). The quizes are soo easy, he tells you whats going to be on them. He also gives you the essay questions for the midterm and the final. I suggest reading the book-- c'mon it's college!

Great professor.... Makes class very interesting and goes over the info that you need to know for the quizzes. Do well on the quizzes, they count for a large % !! Won't ever be bored in his class.

Sanders is AWESOME! 5 Quizzes and 2 exams unless exempt from the final! He always uses mulitple ways to explain things, whether using real life experiences from his career or videos. Always available to help students. Definitely gotta read the book, info can be used in the essays

He's seriously one of the best Professors I've had. Very clear with his discussions, fair with tests and grading and really brings great conversation out of classtime.

Took so many notes in his class! Text book less important, definitely, compared to paying attention and taking notes. He is a very fun and funny man with a lot of experience and knowledge to share. At points I was confused about class structure but as the class went on I got the hang of his expectations. High quality class!

He will not be easy but if you take good notes, read the chapters, and show up to class you will pass. The midterm was difficult and I recommend starting essays early. I didn't and my grade suffered for it.

Very fair and easy teacher. Do the work and study the notes he gives you in class and it's an easy A. Textbook use is minimal but read the chapters as a supplement and you won't need to study as much for the quizzes and midterm. Very helpful with any questions you may have. Highly recommend him!

Amazing teacher! He is very helpful and will explain anything. He will set you up for success if you actually are willing to do the work. All the five quizzes are from your notes he gives you. The midterm is challenging but as long as you study you will do great! If you need to take psychology, take it with this teacher! Highly recommend him!

Long lectures and a lot of work. Need to study at least 12 hours to pass the midterm and final. Quizzes are easy if you study. Have to read book to do well. Great teacher though, makes a hard class a fun class. His attitude helped me pass.

I looked forward to class, very interesting. I wish I knew about Dr. Sanders when I took Psy 101. Abnormal Psych was not easy but he gives you great quiztest reviews. Do the research paper early!!!!!! With that paper turned in and the extra credit done you can be exempt from the final! I was and it was an enormous relief. Favorite prof ever!

Professor Sanders is one of the most amazing professors at the school. He is so helpful and caring. I have recommended him to everyone I know who still needs a psychology class since he's just that good. If you get good grades on everything you will definitely pass this course with flying colors.

Best psych professor at this school. If you need to fill a psych elective, he's your guy. I ended up taking two more psych electives just to have him again. Great professor and also a great guy. Makes the class interesting and funny.

Any psychology class at OCCC is going to be hard. However, I felt Sanders was an overall great teacher and this class was not hard for me. He gives out 5 multiple choice quizzes in the semester that he tells you exactly what it is going to be on it. Overstudy and your set! I suggest you take him.

One of the best professors I have had so far. Really great guy who shows compassion for his courses and answers any questions you may have. Just make sure you ask questions at the end of class and he will go over with you to make sure you understand it. His exams are based off the notes and as long as you keep with the lectures, you should get an A

He's really funny and that helps you to learn the material. He gets in your head and really will make you say "wow!" a lot of the time. The class is all lecture, but he gives great notes and make jokes through the whole thing. You definitely need the textbook for extra help and reading.

Prof. Sanders is an AMAZING psych teacher! I had him for PSY 111 and I would take him again without hesitation. He will give you all of his expectations and tell you EXACTLY how to succeed!! There is no homework for this course, so you must have some self discipline to study all on your own but other than that it is an easy A!

I love him, he's very funny and basically gives you the answers to his quizzes beforehand. he also gives you the test questions beforehand to study. his tests are hard but he gives credit where he can. you'll need to study hard. he never gives HW and well always make class interesting. he doesn't do handouts so geta notebook ready.

Professor Sanders is great! Took an intro to psychology course with him. There are 5 quizzes and he gives a review a week before each one so you know exactly what to expect. You will have to study hard for the midterm and final but they are doable. Also, if by the end you have a 95+ average, you can skip the final and still get an A!

Funny and genuinely caring! From day one, he lays out the entire class for you. His lectures are extremely thorough, and he'll repeat all the important points. The only issue was that he spent so long explaining some things that we were left to learn some material on our own for the midterm. I was exempt from the final for having a 100 average.

Loved this class & learned sooo much. The quizzes are a lot, but if you study and write up the paper before it's easier than if you do not. Plus all the quizzes can be used as study guides for the final and for the project. I learned about myself and about counseling methods & techniques. I recommend him if you truly want to leave with knowledge.

Solid professor. Funny, intelligent, and gets everyone involved in the disscusions. Any of his classes make you work for your grade but it pays off because you retain the info. Make sure you work on your binder as the semester progress so you wont have to work under pressure during the final month between this binder and the research paper!!

Everyone should take a class by Dr. Sanders. But If youre a Psych, sociology, or human services student TAKE HIM! You will learn things well beyond any textbook can teach. I took more than 1 class with him because he was that good. You will be challenged but SO THANKFUL IN THE END I promise.

Dr. Sanders was amazing this semester! I took Intro to Psych in Fall 2020 completely virtual, due to Covid. All I have to say is: Be prepared to write papers! My final paper was literally 53 pages long. Overall, lectures were super interesting, and he gave great feedback on our papers. He was such a great teacher. 10/10 would recommend to others.

Professor Sanders was amazing!! would highly recommend this teacher! His class has no quizzes, no tests, not midterms or final. you do have a final project that you have to keep up on every week! that final project is the total sum of your grade, so make sure you are working on it and not falling behind!

Funny professor, easy class to pass. Just show up and you're good. He talks A LOT, and definitely goes over class time by like 20-35 minutes.

Prof Sanders is the best prof I've ever had! I had him for Abnormal Psych. We had 5 papers for the semester and nothing else. The papers were about ten pages double spaced, but you could finish them in a day and he gives you two to three weeks. There's no final either. He works with you on deadlines and you can talk to him about personal issues!!

Sanders is quite actually the best professor I have ever had. His lectures are very in depth and he makes sure that you understand. He is such a caring person who is always willing to help you out even with things that aren't school related. I took him as a professor twice and I only wish I could do it again. He is the reason I graduated. Love him.

I really enjoy having him for my field placement class. He is so great and super understanding. Really he is always there and walks you through everything . The logs that need to be made, he gives you a format already. His class is fun, especially at night.

My favorite professor that semester! Lectures were engaging and work best with class participation. Lots of writing, but the material is interesting and reflective. Would def recommend this professor!
