Awesome, hilarious professor. Class was two hours, but it was always fun. He and the GTFs were quick to answer questions, and were very helpful.

Very funny but seems a little disorganized with the class. When he is not being funny, its really hard to stay awake.

Wilson is a good teacher. People just think he sucks because they tune him out during the 250 person lectures.

I liked the class, and I actually liked Foundations. The lectures can be really long sometimes.

Super cool teacher. Lectures are pretty long. If your gonna be a business major take ACTG 211 first before you take BA 101. You'll get a guarntee 'A'.

He made the class pretty interesting... he is very enthusiastic and tries to make the class fun... he makes a lot of jokes which keeps you awake in a crowded stuffy classroom!

I felt as if half of the concepts on his tests were never explained in the 2 hour lecture periods. The learning was more self-directed more than lecture oriented which made his lectures seem useless, long, and boring. Answer the weekly questions and you'll be semi-prepared for his tests.

Excellent professor. Interesting lectures and great use of I-clicker. Highly organized. Everything expected of you is clearly stated and easily found on blackboard. His midterm was a bit harder than expected, though. Still, if I see this guy on the class schedule I plan to take him again. Highly recommended.

This was probably my favorite class my term. He kept me interesting during the whole entire time of the class. He used personal stories, films, and clips to make the class fun and entertaining. I definitely recommend sitting in front of the class cause you could get pretty distracted since there's so many people in the class.

For me, I really can't say enough good things about Doug Wilson. He's a terrific teacher with a wonderful sense of humor and has a great deal of patience for his students. Doug and I still stay in contact through e-mail even though I haven't taken his class in a year. Truly an exceptional person.

Doug is a great teacher, but the class at times can be long and very boring. It's an hour and fifty minute class, and you shouldn't miss one because attendance is mandatory. Be sure to meet other people in the class who know what they're doing because the business tutors are either very busy or they don't even show up.

Doug is so friendly and funny. he's always willing to help. if you have trouble in the class, ask him for help before it's too late. the material is easy if you actually listen to his (long and extremely detailed) lectures.

Doug Wilson is a fantastic teacher. I made it to his office hours several times and constantly was emailing him throughout the course. His class is extremely reasonable and he teaches the business simulation program very effectively. Hes just the man, I am scheduling my next semester around his marketing class purely because of him. TAKE HIS CLASS.

Doug is simply the best. He gives a decent amount of things to do (online quizes that you can take as many times as you want and journals and stuff) But its not really that HARD of work. He doesnt care about giving hard work, he just wants you to learn the stuff. Seriously take his class. Totally manageable and totally awesome!

Doug was all around very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. However, the pace of this class is way too accelerated for an intro course, and any interest in the major/minor that I personally had was stamped out by week 2. Maybe they do it to weed out students who are noncommittal about the business program, but it made this class hell to attend.

This is my second time having Professor Wilson. He is by far the greatest professor I have ever taken. He is amazing, funny, and great at what he does. He teaches classes sometimes with over 400 kids, yet still will send you a personal email wondering where you were if you missed his class. He is definitely one of the greatest professors ever.

A great teacher, but when there are group projects involved and some members don't care, it can ruin the class. However, Doug is an interesting person.

Doug Wilson is by far my favorite teacher that I have ever had. I had him for two different classes, BA 101, and BA 199, and I have completely changed the course of my life and what I wanted to pursue because of him. Even in huge classrooms he always learns everyone's name, and is FUNNY. I absolutely love him and he is a wonderful teacher.

SUPER Organized and willing to help! He makes sure his students succeed! The business tutors he suggests are very helpful with Foundation & Quizzes, and the in-class clicker points are easy. Difficult material but very easy to succeed with Doug. Take him!

This class was not easy for me but he was always willing to help. Compared to other professors who teach BA 101 his lectures were very thorough and explained things differently so all his students would understand. He also was great with names.

I had to work for my grade but he was very willing to take time and explain things differently. If you attended office hours he spent as much time as needed. His lectures were very interesting, he's genuinly a nice guy

Foundation stuffs are really confusing at first. However, he will help you with those for first 4weeks. After that, you will just need to take a good note on the examples he shows in class and just tweak the numbers little different and will do well on foundation. His lectures are really interesting and entertaining.

Gosh do I love Doug. He's very energetic and continually tries to engage his students. The class overall isn't very useful but it's a necessary prereq for most business classes. Homework load is manageable but beware of three midterms that make up 60% of your grade. No final though so that's a plus! If you need to take biz 101, take it with Doug.

Doug is amazing. Organized and well spoken, he will know your name in a class of 200 students. He is a fair grader and practically hands you the answers to in-class work and tests so long as you pay attention. I can't wait to have him again in upper level classes

Best professor ever. Tests are multiple choice and as long as you show up and actually pay attention (maybe even take notes) theres no reason you should do bad at all. Mikes bikes is a little tricky at first but simple once you get the hang of it. He grades on homework that takes like 30 min every other night, and 3 unit tests. Amazing lectures.

SO SO SO KIND, UNDERSTANDING, CARING, and just a great human being. Fell behind in class even though it is very minimal effort but was incredibly understanding and helpful. Fun and easy to talk to. Humorous and just can't state enough how great of a guy he is.

Lectures always related directly to the homework and the tests. Midterm was open note which is nice because the class has a lot of memorization elements. He is always quick to reply to emails and super easy to understand.

This man is it. He is seriously one of the most passionate and kind professors I have ever had. If you have the chance to take his class, DO IT! I took this class online and he was really thorough and was ALWAYS willing to help his students whatever it took.

I took his class online but still had the opportunity to talk to him multiple times during office hours. He's very willing to help and likes to get to know his students. Wilson's class was likely the most organized class of all my online classes- he formatted it in a way that made it easy and fun to learn.

I would highly suggest his class when in person is available again. I wish I waited to take it in person. His online course was a struggle I wouldnt recommend it. You had to pay full price for the online text book & simulation - it felt very scammy. But Doug is an amazing professor and reached out to me when he noticed I was struggling.

Some of the midterms were challenging, but you get a lot of time to complete them. Doug is very kind and made it easy to learn the material. Average amount of work expected of you, and made business interesting.

This teacher is by most one of the best ones I have for this fall term. He's actually a teacher that repeats himself so students can understand it. I would definitely recommend this teacher if you are taking BA101. Even though this course was online, I think in person would have been so much better.

Doug is an amazing teacher and is so caring. I had him during the fall term so this was an all online term so it was an adjustment for both the teacher and the students. Personally, I think the class was a little difficult but that might just be me. There was on average 7 assignments a week so just make sure you manage your time a little.

Mr. Wilson was one of the best business professors so far. He is caring and gives excellent feedback (and is open to your feedback); furthermore, he did a series of amazing lectures, and overall his lectures are still helping me on my third-year courses! I will definitely take him in BA400s courses.

By far one of the best professors on campus, very helpful, has interesting lectures that are an easy listen and homework is only key stuff that we need to know. He was very caring with me and helped me through some difficulties I was having throughout the term. I would definitely recommend any of his courses.

I took this online and it was a great very organized class. His lectures are easy to follow and most of the three open-note non-cumulative exams are straightforward and taken from the lecture slides. The mikes bikes is a little tricky but only 10% of overall grade so I still got an A despite a 75 on that part.

First the bad: this is one of those classes where you do need to buy the textbook because it includes homework online. But take his advice, buy the bundle. He is truly as caring of a prof as you can get, even in a large Business class. Get to know him outside and he'll give you great advice. Makes class engaging with participation, but anonymous.

I love Doug<3 He really cares about his students and he knows me by name even with a 200 person class. There is a lot of work but it is very doable. He answers emails really quickly and gives good feedback. You do have to buy an iClicker thing that costs like 60 bucks and then 100 bucks to do homework for the term. You will also have 3 midterms.

Doug is one of those professors that is excited to be there everyday. He is accomodating to issues pertaining to assignment due dates and it a joy to see in class.

The homework is helpful and is not difficult, if you complete it you get 100%. There are 3 noncumulative exams, no final. Would 100% take this class again or any class with Doug Wilson.

Professor Doug made his lectures entertaining and easy to follow. It was hard to take notes in his class b/c he flipped through the slides at a fast rate, so don't expect to keep up. There was a required textbook/simulator game as well as an iClicker, which was used during lectures. I highly recommend Doug for your business classes!

His lectures are engaging and relevant, and he likes to make learning fun. Just make sure you pay attention in lecture to do well on the exams. Honestly, the exams are the only hard part of the class and they aren't too bad.

I love Doug. He is the nicest teacher ever. My friend who is not even in the class came to 2 lectures just for the legend himself.

Professor Wilson truly cares about his students, and genuinely wanted them to succeed. The Connect textbook isn't amazing and the homework also is not really fun, but that would be the same for the other BA 101 professors. Where Doug differentiates himself is through his charisma, personal anecdotes, and how he engages with students in class.

Doug Wilson is easily my favorite prof ever. He is very understanding and engaging. He is very smart, and knows his stuff. Midterms (3 of them at 20%) are big, but if you study hard they are not unreasonable. The information he presents is so helpful and great stuff to know for later life. If you ever have a chance to take a class from him, do it.

Doug is so awesome, total dad vibes. Material is fairly basic knowledge and easy to grasp but there is a lot of tedious homework and 3 midterms that are a heavy percent of your grade. I don't know anyone who didn't like Doug! He made lectures as interesting as possible and was really fun. He responds to emails very quickly and is so helpful and caring! Tests aren't too difficult (just a little studying will do it) and its all material from the slides (good notes help!) Class has consistent homework but takes an hour or less.

Doug was an amazing professor this term. One of the rare chances in which you can see a professor truly care about his students and want them to succeed to the best of their abilities. Super accessible outside of class and would email back within the hour.
