This professor is the worst and meanest professor I have taken at this school. Do not take him.

Completely awful class. Be prepared to show up every class and listen to him drone on. Not a good speaker mumbles and trails off at the end of his sentence. His teaching style is a PowerPoint with pictures and an overview title & he lectures at you. Not engaging at all. Puts no grades in online and doesn't give only paper back till day of final.

It's clear that those with a review below a 2 did not put in effort expected from college students. To succeed in this class do the readings, do the paper, and study for the 2 tests. Make sure to speak at least once per lecture. This is all that needs to be done to achieve a good grade in the class. Otherwise, Dr. Egerton is nice and understanding.

This professor is not the best teacher. He talks for the whole class and it is so boring. There are two exams, 3 pop quizzes at random and one paper. He expects you to know everything for the exams and if you don't pay attention you will fail the quizzes. Do not take this teacher if you do not want to fail.

Professor Egerton is a great professor. His lectures are very informative and he is a great story teller. You will have two exams and pop quizzes but he does drop your worst score and give you extra credit throughout the semester. You will have a final paper that can boost your grade. I learned a lot from his class.

Very lecture heavy class with three pop quizzes throughout the semester on the daily readings. Each reading is 5-15 pages, along with three books read throughout the course. The midterm and final are difficult unless you spend a lot of time studying. There is also a final research paper but it is easy if you put time into it.
