Test format 1 min per question is fine, but often cadaver sections are poorly pinned/labeled for questions so it's difficult to answer correctly. In open lab, there are 2-5 lab aides and 100s of students at times. To get your question answered you have to wait for a lab aide. Other students frequently try to "teach" but mostly don't know what they're doing and spread wrong information/misidentify structures, guess -not reliable. Poor resources for students to study well but still hard tests.

Difficult class but Dr Gross is incredible, a great lecturer, and is very fair with exams. You need to put in a ton of work, but he plus the teaching team are passionate and will help you succeed. Even tho this was my hardest class at Davis, it was also one of my favorites. This class becomes your life for the quarter but youre not even mad ab it!

Legit worse class I've taken, these reviews are mostly fake, I didn't know until after I finished the class that the LA's and TA's put up fake reviews, hence the numerous dislikes on them. The course is unbearable, far to time confusing for a 3 unit lab, or a 4 unit lecture.

1) only records lecture audio. if you dont attend class you will suffer severely. 2) lectures out of the in class workbook/syllabus, however, the syllabus does not contain all of the information. 3) memorizatio heavy. 3) personally did not enjoy the course or the students in the course. was an overall terrible experience if I am being honest.

Be prepared to memorize everything! If I am being honest, this professor didn't meet my expectations. Only records audio, no access to slides but reads off a 250 page syllabus, fast-paced, goes off topic to show pictures of his family, and midterms are worth your entire grade. Please avoid taking this class with this professor.

I missed class a bunch and I barely paid attention in lecture, but still did fine on the tests. His tests are still kinda hard tho, he tests on very niche stuff. He's very nice tho and tells fun stories. Take the lab with lecture, because it makes it so much easier. This class will become your life bc of how demanding it is

This is definitely not an easy class. Plan on it being your only class (along with the lab - this is a must!) that quarter. It's anatomy - it will be hard regardless of the professor. Dr. Gross, though, is an incredibly nice and FAIR professor. Averages were all >80%, and he will drop questions that the majority of students don't do well on.

TAKE THE LAB WITH THE CLASS. Gross is an amazing lecturer, exams are fair with avg's around 80% and bad questions dropped. THIS CLASS WILL CONSUME YOUR LIFE. If you are taking the lab be prepared to spend every weekend in open lab. Tips for success are going to every open lab and making quizlets for every lab/lecture. One of my favorite classes tho

Don't get me wrong this is probably the hardest class I've taken at UCD but the entire instructional team is 10/10s. TAKING LECTURE WITHOUT LAB IS A MISTAKE. Attend OH/TA lecture reviews if you want a good grade, also a very interesting guy to talk to outside of classwork. Lecture is fine but the lab section is where everyone STRUGGLES,memorization

Dr. Gross is a great prof. The class is super content heavy but manageable if you stay on top of it. Take the lab with the lecture and you will do well in lecture. It is a lot of work but totally worth it in the end.
