Take any class you can with Professor Hoehn, especially speech. He makes public speaking comfortable. You will actually learn something in his class that you can use later in life. If English is a second language for you, he will go the extra mile to make you feel at ease. DO NOT MISS AN OPPORTUNITY, TAKE HIS CLASS.

Professor Hoehn was a wonderful professor. I took his class online and struggled with speeches (fear of public speaking), but he helped me make it through. His class was clear and effective and I would absolutely take a class with him again. A+

TAKE THIS GUY! My freind recommended this class, and am I glad he did. I had taken speech 3 times before and failed or dropped it, but from day 1 he gave me confidence and made me feel like I could succeed. As good a professor as you can get. If you have to take speach for your degree take this guy's on-line class. There are like 4 easy 10 question tests and to webcam speeches. The only other things to do all semester are 1 paragraph posts every week.

I had Dr. Hoehn in an online class as I heard he was great from a freind who had him in class. i was not disappointed. I had some problems and he was my only professor to give me a break and let me complete the class. Very, very, good teacher and take him if you can get in as his classes fill up real fast!

He is really cool and easy. If you show up and do the online work you should def. pass with an A or B. He chooses favorites though and talks about snowboarding and skating ALL DAY! The tests are confusing and not clear but other than that I would take him again. I would recommend him to everyone!

Best professor I've had at Bergen, smart, caring and cool in everyway. I had to wait a semester to get him as his classes are the first to fill up and its no wonder. take Dr. Hoehn if you can, you wont regret it. Simply the best there is.

Best online professor there is, not easy, but work is reasonable and if you get your assignments in can get a real good grade and learn alot. Take him if you can.

Everyone I asked said he was the best, and I agree. I learned so much, but he is not easy but very reasonable. I got sick and worked with me to get work in. Must meet deadlines but that kept me focused. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN.

Took online, really well designed easy to follow menu and the Professor was excellent. I had to wait a full semester to get in his class and it was worth the wait.

My sister had this professor for speech and really liked him, so I took him for online writing 101. I cant say enough how much I enjoyed his class and style. He is very laid back and always helpful and checks back within hours. As long as you do your work you will learn alot and get alot out of this class. I recommend him to everyone.

Had online writing 201 and he was excellent. Was really helpful and fair and made the course shell very easy to follow. Highly recommend.

I took his course online expecting great things because people rave about him so much. Maybe he is better in person because he is basically non-existant on line. I wish he would participate in discussions more. However, he was helpful, replied to e-mails quickly, and the course was generally easy. 5 quizzes, 2 recorded speeches, and 2 outlines.

Heard great things about this professor and took him online and was not disappointed. Is fair, gives really helpful feedback and made the material interesting. I tell all my freinds to take him, he's awesome.

I was really nervous about speaking and he helped me alot. He encourages students to just be themselves and lets students help each other with comments. I was so scared at first, but this is now my favorite class.

Had this professor in class and enjoyed his teaching so took him for writing online. I was not disappointed, there was about an essay every 3 weeks, an exercise and a discussion every week. Class was well organized, clear and I learned alot. I would highly recommend him inclass or online, one of the best.

He's a really cool guy, he made everyone feel very comfortable in the first couple of classes. He was a little unclear in some of the assignments, and I wasn't afraid to call him out on it, but somehow I was one of his favorites. If you work hard and care about your grade, he respects you and you'll probably get an A, his class is easy

Took class online, was well organized and helpful. Best think about this professor is he lets you work on one writing issue at a time with each paper rather than making you improve evetying all at once. So at the end I was able to write a good paper. I hight recommend.

Young with lots of energy. I had some medical problems and he gave me an extention when my other teacher wouldnt so I was able to pass the class. I really like him and the class and my sister is taking him now.

Really learned alot and he is easy to follow. Every 3 weeks a paper was due which made the work easy to keep up with. Would definitely recommend.

This professor's classes are the 1st to fill up for a reason: they are amazing. I took him for 2 classes, wrt 101 & comm 100. In wrt a paper is due every 3 weeks, the guy below should have failed if he waited until the last Sunday to send his paper in. In speech there are 2 to do, pretty easy grader but very fair. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Really liked his class. He gave us plenty of time to prepare our 2 speeches and we had a few video's to review and 5 open book quizzes. Was real fair and helpful with feedback. All my friends are taking his class as everyone says his classes are the best.

He's cool, a little mean at first but then he warms up to the class later in the semester. You will actually learn something because he gives critical feedback on speeches along with the rest of the class

What a pleasure this professor was. Though the assignments were super easy, I think the idea here is to make everyone feel comfortable speaking in public and he achieved that. What a wonderfully supportive group the whole class was, and he was responsible for creating that atmosphere.

I am an Honor's student about to graduate, and he is by far the best professor I have had. You need to get work in on time, but he allows 3 weeks for each learning unit and always answers emails right away. Really a great teacher that's why his classes fill up so fast.

I took his class online. He was a decent teacher. The only annoying part of the class was making the videos and sending them and some of the videos are kinda cheesy. But overall, it was a good class but it would probably be more interesting to take it on campus.

Took online in Moodle, and nicely organized into 5 modules each consisting of 3 weeks. Two speeches to give uploaded to a website. Work was reasonable and 3 weeks to get each assignment in was more than fair. Best online course I have taken by far.

Best professor I have ever had, excellent class and made it really interesting. Only people who wouldnt like the class are people who had lots of absences, as the professor told us we need to support each other by attending. As long as we did that we did just fine.

I took his online class. He's not easy and isn't lenient with his grading and will absolutely not take late assignments even if just hours late. I was not a happy camper to say the least. I am a honor student and I will probably have to retake the class. I advise to take Speech on campus. Don't expect his online course to be an easy A.

He is well organized and is a good professor but he's not very understanding. He'd give you 1/5 if you complete more than half the requirements for an assignment. That's abit unfair to a student. But otherwise, his class online is a walk in the ark if you keep on top.

I think this class taught me a lot about public speaking, and has made me less nervous to speak in front of people. With that being said, he is a good teacher if you participate in class. He appreciates and values opinions in the class and new ideas. If you put the work in, he will give you the right grade.
