Prof.Klahr is the best teacher I ever had in my life. The way he teaches, is very effective and students learn a lot. I really like his conceptual questions coz it made me think about the acrhitecture history.He made this history course so interesting and fun.I think all credit goes to Prof.Klahr. Thanks for being such a wonderful teacher!

Professor Klahr's lectures goes straight into my head forever. I hardly study for exams, becuase his lectures are so effective. There should be more professors like him.

Great Professor! Extremely helpful and does what he can to make sure everyone is successful on the test, still gotta study though! I would recommend taking this professor whenever possible.

Prof. Klahr is simply brilliant. I wish I had his skills in communicating knowledge so clearly. As the other guy/gal said: his lectures are easy to follow and they go straight into our heads.I recommend to anyone to take a class with him, you'll never forget his lectures, I guarantee.

Going into this class I wasn't very excited because I hate history;it's boring. But this teacher totally changed my perspective. He made it interesting and fun. I've been able to remember all the information even to this day--which doesn't happen too often. He didn't care if he had to go over info again, as long as we understood. Fantastic teacher!

GREAT PROFESSOR!!! This is the best professor I have had at UTA or any college I have attended thus far. Take him if you have the chance because his classes are interesting and you are always prepared for the test because he does such a good job. He also posts all of his lectures online in case you miss a class.

Very enthusiastic about the material he teaches. One can also appreciate the time and effort he puts into the slideshows. Towards the end of the semester as some student(s) expressed concern over their grades, he adjusted the percentages of the exam scores to help each student; more than fair. Show this man some respect in return and attend class.

Klahr is the best teacher that i've had at uta. He is extemely clear and so clear. His class isn't exactly easy but he makes you understand architecture and if you attend class, pay attention, and try to lear you'll be in good shape. He is awesome.

Prof. Klahr is by far THE BEST I ever had in all these eyears. Not only is he brilliant, but he knows how to teach and get us involved. We have to study hard, but believe me, it's worth it because his enhusiasm for the subject it catching up with us. I would wholeheartedly recommend his classes.

This is by far the best professor I ever had. He is true tu his name, - he is very clear & extremely well prepared. His lectures are so interesting, a joy to attend but for his exams you have to study hard. However, it's worth your time, since he is so brilliant.

In architecture you tend to become a little discouraged, but Klahr helps you fall in love all over again with the field. I have taken two classes from him and would take more if geven the opportunity

Professor Klahr is one of the best professors to walk the UTA campus. His passion for Architecture and for helping us learn Architecture is unbelievable. He makes the buildings and the stories come alive. He makes History and Architecture dance and in the process enlivens his students. I looked forward to class everyday of the week. The best!!

Incredible, enthusiastic and just as hungry to learn from the students as to teach them. He is the one of the finest amongst the faculty, and improves the quality of architectural history courses with his knowledge and dignified presence. Anyone can learn from and appreciate this professor. He's as clear and direct as it gets.

All I can say is that if you are a student of architecture at UTA and you graduate without having taken Prof. Klahr, then you seriously missed something. My girlfriend sat in one of his lectures with me, and she wished that in her school at UTA they had teachers like him. Very very great professor.

Klahr is awesome, I learned a lot while in his class and enjoyed myself while doing so. He's a pretty cool guy, understanding, wears different colored converse which is a plus! Overall I would say he is one of my favorite teachers I've had here at UTA and would definitely take him again if I had the chance. PS: Flash cards make studying easy!

Even though I may fail his class this semester due to an overwhelming studio workload, Klahr is an outstanding professor who loves the subject matter. He is very understanding about studio commitments as well. I regret not being able to attend more lectures purely for how enjoying they can be. Tests are slightly difficult so study hard!

Klahr is nice, fun, passionate about his work, and stylish. We debated what was his shoe of the day daily. Academically, I found the 5 tests to be challenging because of the unorthodox styling. I felt some answers were unclear. On the upside, powerpoints were given online. This is not a reason to skip bc you'll get behind. Final non-comprehensive.

If you can manage to read all the lectures on your own, there is no need to go to class, but it does save you more time to have him read them for you. He?s an interesting professor, tries his best to make exams easier to study for.

He is a great professor if you attend class every time then he basically is doing the reading for you. Its very interesting & not boring. Don?t think twice take him! I would again if I could no doubt. Test r easy if u study and u can always go explain why u think ur answer is correct and gives partial credit back if u make sense. He is awesome! :)

This guy is a straight up G. He's really funny and very good at explaining things. He talks alot and pretty loud so it's really easy to focus on the lecture. I'd definitely take him again.

Extremely interesting and entirely nonbiased which makes the class an incredible experience. He makes everything interesting and isn't afraid to listen to opposite opinions. So long as you show up to class you'll learn the material enough for a B. Read the books and it's an easy A. I loved going to his class and looking at new perspectives.

Go to class and pay attention, course is easy then. Klahr makes material interesting and forces you to think about what you're presented. Do well in his classes, he is a powerful letter of recommendation down the road, and a good friend to have in the building.

Klahr is the best professor ever! Period. Attendance is optional but I went to see Klahr lecture, that's when you know it's a good prof! His tests are not gimmie A's but if you go over the powerpoints and attend his lectures, they are not bad at all, and you should get an A. It just requires some effort on your part to get the grade you desire.

Taking Klahr is mandatory, but don't worry. He is by far the most helpful and understanding professor I've ever had. He does everything in his power to help his students. If you don't attend class and don't study, you'll fail, but it's honestly really hard to not try when you see all the effort he puts in.

Love professor Khlar! He inspired me to start a minor in architecture history. He is more than clear with his grading criteria, and there is no extra credit. Everything is kept fair. All you have to do is study for his tests, which if you study are not hard! His tests do make you think though, which is honestly not a bad thing.

He understands we are busy we are with studio. I'm surprised how much I learned just by showing up and listening to his lectures while working on studio projects on my computer. Class isn't mandatory. He makes it as easy as possible to learn as much as possible. It really helps that he is so passionate about architecture.

Dr. Klahr is so passionate about architecture and overall is a great professor. Tests are online with no lockdown browser. Only 4 writing assignments which are really easy. Attendance is not mandatory. Doesn't make you memorize dates or names of architects. Highly recommend him as the other arch-history professor has heavy workload.

Douglas is fair and once you figure out a method for his tests (which are open notes) it is a pretty straight forward easy class

He is my favorite professor at UTA, he is open-minded to conversations about architecture. His class is pretty straightforward to pass, but the tests can be quite difficult. I would take him while you can, he retires December 2024

A wonderful professor, he posts recordings of all of his lectures, and his tests are open note, I still recommend going over the notes before an exam though as the questions are quite specific. But you can find all of the answers in the given slideshows if you know where to look. Be careful though there are only four grades in the entire class.

Professor Klahr is passionate about architecture. Tests are manageable, and assignments are easy. Attendance is mandatory, but no textbook required. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for exam prep.
