Took this as a correspondence course. Very easy maps and a written report on each chapter. A lot of writing but he’s a very fair grader.

He is very supportive and a great teacher. His classes are a lot of fun.

He makes learning fun and enjoyable, he makes you feel like a name instead of just a number in his class and I noticed he did know most of our names, which for his huge classes it is hard. I would take another course from him any day.

Easiest class I've had so far. Online tests, participation points for coming to class, a few papers, and lots of bonus points available. Would definitely recommend any Munksi class as they're fun and easy. You can tell he enjoys teaching and is definitely willing to help you if you need some.

By far one of the best professors ive ever had. He makes learning easy and fun. He gives out tons of bonus points makeing it impossible to fail unless you dont show up. Online: Easy class, if you did your work, and did you assignments you will learn! Easy A! Seemed very helpful if you needed anything. Gave lots of time, and lots of extra credit if you did your assignments well! take him!

Canadian Geography was a joke. You almost never need to attend class because nothing can every be late. You can turn in assignments as you please and feel free to skip class. Very much a slacker class don't take to gain knowledge. Also Dr. Munski always brings snacks to class everyday.

Genuinely a nice guy. Does anything to help students pass. Attendance is definitely optional. No due dates and he brings food every day for everyone. Rambles a lot but he is a great guy. Take him if you need a GPA boost.

This class is awesome. Its great if you have a hard schedule and need a class to relax and chill. Munski is super understanding and tries to make class as entertaining as possible, gets off track a little but he truely cares about success which is rare from a teacher at UND.

This class is amazing. we only had one paper, besides that, no quizzes, and 3 take home tests (includes take home final). We literally got fed snacks and food ever day. I ended with a 135% in the class. class totally optional. Munski is awesome as well. Really funny and cheesy

Munski's class was simple. I learned absolutely nothing but I had a great time and earned somewhere around 130% A. Missed class about 5 times. Dont buy the book. The three tests were easy as well as a take home final exam.

I love him :) He is so nice and tries to make funny jokes. Do not buy the text book- just google the answers. His tests are take home and if you let him know ahead of time that you wont be in class he will give you points for telling him!

Dr. Munski is a great guy. He generally is slow with entering grades but other than that, he's great. He brings food every day and always has a smile on his face! Attendance is not mandatory. Definitely recommend this guy!

Holy guacamole ( as they would say at mexican village). Dr Munski is an awesome professor. He is there to help you learn and get an A . All of the tests are take home open book, open note. Going to class only benefits you (tons of extra credit; I haven't been for 3 weeks & I have 160% in the class). Recommend the book for the tests.

Dr. Munski is bar none the most kind and caring professor that I have had the pleasure of knowing. I can honestly say that if it wasn't for his regular motivation to keep trying my best, I probably would have left school until a later date. I stayed in school though and graduated with my B.S. in Geography. He is both a great professor and person!

Munski is an awesome and fun professor. You can tell he loves what he does. Gives out a ton of extra credit, gives out candy in class, and makes a lot of jokes. He does seem a little unorganized which may be frustrating to some students but he takes care of it. You don't need to go to class but I recommend it just to keep up with what is going on.

Munski is pretty funny and the class is a breeze. It is a slower pace which is nice to mix into a busy schedule... The tests are online and you get more than one try to take them. half way through the semester and I have about 100 pts worth of EC.

His class is super easy to get an A in if you attend. He is easily the nicest professor I have ever met.

He gives out lots of bonus points if you do well on the assignments. I received over 100% in this class. I didn't need the textbook, can find answers on PWPTs or online. It isn't a lot of work that is hard it's more time consuming. I took this class over the summer and no test were given only homework! He is very understanding if you need more time

Professor Munski is a good person and care that you do well in his class. You do not have to show up to class to pass, but you do get extra credit. Very understanding that life happens.

Took Geog 262 with him. Excellent teacher, but very technologically slow. He uses his left hand for the mouse for God's sakes. Overall would recommend any class he teaches

Dr. Munski is the only professor you should take Geog161 with. He gives you bonus points for breathing and his tests are open note/book. VERY easy A. He respects his students and provides a lot of opportunities to succeed. He's also a total dork and makes class fun with free candy and cheesy jokes. Loved him!

Professor Munski is hands down one of the nicest professors I've had. He seems a bit scattered at times, but does care. GEOG151 was an interesting class and none of the assignments were too difficult or time consuming.

Munski is a genius. he can connect anything geographically. he understands students situations. will do anything in his power to help you succeed at UND not just in his class. If you pay attention to his lectures you can tell that he knows what he's talking about and its not just an easy A class. listen to him and I guarantee you learn something

Honestly impossible to fail this class. He gives out bonus points every class for the people that show up, so I just went to the class for a month or so & got up to the amount of bonus points needed for 100%. You get multiple attempts on each test, and its all online, so you can get 100% on each. Assignments are really easy too. DON'T BUY THE BOOK!

Munski is literally the best professor at UND. He cares for all of his students. You only need to go to maybe one class every few weeks. Almost everything can be done online through blackboard. Lots of extra credit is given. It's difficult to NOT get an A in one of his classes.

Munski is the GOAT of all teachers, if you simply show up to class at least once a week and finish the tests you get enough extra credit points to easily pass the course with a over 100%.

Show up like once a week for extra credit points and you will pass with over 100%. Some outside work required but overall an amazing class choice.

Slightly harder class that Munski's GEOG 161 but still an Easy A. Would definitely take any Munski class if you have the option.

Everyday you show up to class, you get extra credit. You dont even have to show up to class to get an A in his class. He is also probably the easiest and funniest prof at UND.

Dr. Mr. Munksi, is incredibly kind hearted and he genuenly cares about how the students do. You dont have to show up for class but if you do, you get a lot of bonus points which makes it very easy to get an A. All of the test are open book take home test. You can literally look up the title of each of his tests and find quizlets for all of them.

Munski is a teacher of a different sort. He rewards students for trying to learn, giving "consumable education supplements" and extra credit "bonus points" to any student WANTING to learn. Not only do I highly respect this man, he respects his students (encouraging participation, understanding unique circumstances, etc). Just go to his classes :)

Munski is the GOAT. His exams were handed out as normal assignments and can be turned in whenever. If you're an Engineer, tell him and you'll still get bonus points, even if you miss class.

Dr. Munski is the absolute best! he genuinely cares about his students and there well being, an because of that he's very lenient and willing to work with you to help you learn. You wouldn't regret taking any class with him.

I would just like to say that Munski and his classes are the only reason i was able to keep my scholarship and not be kicked out of my program. He is probably half of the reason i am graduating.

He is so funny and interactive. You dont have to show up to pass. He doesnt care when you turn things in, as long as they get turned in.

At the end of the semester I had 114% in this class and I didn't even do all the assignments and exams. He gives extra credit points everyday just for showing up, one day we got over 100points extra credit. He is a great and caring professor and can crack some good jokes sometimes. He also brings food for the class almost everyday!

Taking one of Munski's classes should be a requirement at UND. He is the nicest professor I have ever met. I was a scared freshman in taking his class with 220 other students, and his lectures got me through my first semester. He even remembered my name when I saw him again during the next semester. Take his classes if you can!

Munski is a gem. Truly cares about students, and willing to be flexible with due dates. Be honest and don't take advantage of it, but know he'll always understand if things come up. Interesting content-lots of reading and hwk every week, but not bad and sounds like it'll be reduced in the future. Easy to do well (+EC) if you put some thought in.

Such a kind professor and I really enjoy his lectures. I don't know a nicer way to say this but his class is a joke. I wrote half of a sentence in response to two essay questions and received 25/20 on that exam. I finished with over 100% in the class. He is still a great professor, and there's a reason so many people love him & his classes.

Mr, Munski is the best Professor Ive ever met. He knows his courses and more than that. If you want to get entertainment and useful information in life take Munski with any class he do. Do not worry about your grade even though he gives good grades he also offer too much extra credit. Munski is the best

Dr. Munski is a great professor that makes class super entertaining and it shows that he care greatly about the topics discussed. Hes always making sure that students know what is going on. Over the course, we had 2 assignments, 4 exams, and extra credit. Hes definitely a fun professor to have and I would highly recommend him!

Go to his class to see one of the greatest and kind professor for in-class credits (maybe extra credits), and do the homework before the due dates. There will be some extra credit assignments. The tests are easy enough. I did all steps I just said and got around 124% (96% is the last chance of A). One of the greatest class I have taken in my life.

Douglas Munski is the sole professor keeping UND going. He is the best teacher I have ever had. He will not fail to put a smile on your face, and even gives out candy. The homework and exams were light and attendance was not mandatory (but his class was so fun I recommend going). One time he wore a tiger hat and chased a mouse out of class!

Munski is such a good guy and teacher. Hes very nice and accommodating to every student. Hes funny and really knows what hes teaching. Id recommend taking a class with him to anyone.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this man. He taught my father in the 1980s and me in 2021. He blesses each generation of students with his thoughtful attitude and amazing outlook on human geography. I would rate him higher if it was possible.

Munski's classes are great. He's fun, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. Assignments are simple and fun, exams are open book, and class is very engaging. You have to take a course with Munski at least once.

Dr. Mr. Munski is one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people I've ever met. You can do everything the day before finals and get full credit, I completed the bare minimum with some extra points sprinkled in and ended with 131% in the class. He understands what students have to do sometimes and its refreshing to know he's on your side.

HE IS AWESOME! This class is an easy 'A.' He offers extra credit on nearly everything. Be ready for a lot of confusing, yet funny, emails throughout the semester. He is also very lenient and understands when unexpected life event happen. Highly recommend to anyone!

Just FYI, since he is so lenient with assignments, extra credit, exams, and attendance, an A in his class is a very high percentage (pretty sure it's 96%). If you need a class for your humanities credit, definitely take a Munski class.

I love this man with my whole heart. He cares about his students. He is working in your favor. You will learn a lot if you apply yourself, but if you need an easy A take this class. Just take this class anyways and do your work because this man is simply an angel. He puts a lot of time and effort into his work, and he is deeply appreciated. 100/10

Great lecturer, easy to take notes and pay attention to pass. Very funny and makes even the boring topics a little lighter. Tests were not insanely hard and a little studying is needed. Always provided good in-class answers to student questions and went into good detail.

Easy class. Just do the weekly blogs and the assignments and you are literally fine. He's hard to reach over email so if you have a dire question go to class or his office. His lectures were funny but kinda pointless sometimes as we would get off track but still fun. Great professor and fun class!

Dr. Munski is a treasure of UND. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed in his class, so there are a lot of bonus points. For your general studies credits, you can take GEOG 151 which satisfies the D requirement and GEOG 262 which satisfies the W requirement, and then you have 6 social studies credits. Would recommend doing

Easy A class, never one stepped foot in a lecture hall or opened zoom. Only frustrating thing is how disorganized the course is. Munski makes up for it with the absurd amount of bonus points he hands out.

If you are looking to fill out a requirement, this is the class. Backburner class. Material is simple. If you decide to show up to lectures he rewards the students greatly.

This is far from my first course taken with Dr. Munski, and I could not recommend taking a class with anyone more. The class isn't hard and you can essentially put as little or much work as you want into an assignment as he gives extra credit for good answers. He cares deeply about his student and there is a reason he is so widely respected.

Munski is great, an icon of UND. Attendance not required as the class is streamed on zoom, but I always showed up in person (usually only 10 people in the 100+ person hall). Bonus of being there in person: his "consumable educational supplements" (he brings snacks). Great guy, lots of jokes, most don't land, we love him for it. 100% reccomend.

Dr. Munski is one of my favorite UND professors. Kind, approachable, flexible, and tons of extra credit opportunities. Geography isn't my thing but I liked this class because of Dr. Munski; he truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. 10/10 recommend, easy ES class and great professor! I'd take more classes with him if I could.

Munski is fantastic. Didn't go to more than 5 classes and have an A. His assignments are easy to follow and clear directions. He is funny if you go to class, but cares about your feedback. So if something doesn't seem right, email him. No strict due dates, can wait till the last second to turn things in.
