I thought Piaget was good--but, hoo!, Professor Stalker can pour water from glass to glass quicker than that French guy and still tell you, in three or four languages at once, if things have been conserved. And his sense of humor? How droll!

It is easy to do well in this class. Lecture notes are almost an exact copy of what you can read in the book. Gets side tracked a lot in the middle of lectures.
lectures straight from book, two tests 50% each; curves with z-score so if better than 1/2 the class you're fine otherwise ther goes your GPA. I read and went to class so wasn't too bad.
This teacher is possibly the worst, weirdest, and bizarre man I have ever met! I stopped going to the class b/c this 100 level course is ridiculously impossible! Horrible teacher, avoid this class at all costs.
Interesting class and man. Readings are on the difficult side, but not impossible because he goes over them in class. Take his class if you are interested in art critism and getting beyond what a peice of art looks like, nod to Clemont Greenberg :)
He is the best teacher4 I have ever had. He changed my life. I will never assume anything ever again. Least of all, I am thankful for his expertise and quality pedagogical abilities in the classroom and his willingness to help meet my needs! He's awesome!

If you like professors who can't complete a thought and end sentences randomly with words like "Pow!" and "And there it is!", take this course. If you're sane, avoid this professor AT ALL COSTS.
It's like listening to Ben Stein for an hour every day. Never finished a complete thought the entire semester. Class is optional and the readings are integral to passing. Only problem is actually getting the reading done b/c it's just as boring as Stalker

He is a great teacher. Funny, dry sense of humor. Does a very good job of explaining everything in the readings. 2 tests that can easily be Aced if you read. Going to his class is optional but very helpful if u read in advance.
WARNING: Do NOT take this course with this man. He makes a 100 level seem like a 600 one! Tests are IMPOSSIBLE!

A smart man who has no idea how to teach. Lectures are all over the place, tests are far too detailed for what he teaches. I didn't learn a thing from being in his class.
Very droning voice, bring a pillow. READ the book, or you'll fail. Tests are impossibly detailed, z-points scoring on tests makes it impossible to see how you're doing, only grades two things the ENTIRE semester, so do well on them!
This course is terrible do not take this. Stalker sucks.
Smart man, overall. Lectures are optional, reading is essential to passing the two exams (only grades in class). Not really easy since your grades are only based on 2 exams, but read and you'll be fine.

Worst teacher and class ever, this is not an exaggeration. He lectures from the same notes he had 15 years ago, he never asks any students anything, instead he speaks to himself, which is funny for the first day. Tests are multiple choice and impossible. If you can somehow avoid this class, do it.

One of the easist classes i have had at UD. Its just 2 multiple choice exams, no work, no papers. Kinda boring tho but you can pretty much skip every class if you read.
Terrible, terrible class, get out while you still can, and I mean RUN!!! I had this 8am and it was impossible to stay awake. Attendance is imperative, and there are only 2 exams to decide your entire semester. I really didn't learn a thing
Snooze alert! I stopped going to class after the first exam bc a) it was 8AM 2) it was BORING and 3)I realized I could learn it from his handouts and the book. Mult choice exams are challenging, but doable if you do work. If I had to hear him say "whoops" one more time I was going to strangle him.

Hands down the worst prof I've had at UD. He yelled at a girl for putting her test in the wrong pile! A real jerk. Made fun of people who asked questions, IF he even called on people who HAD questions. Extremely vague, boring, and not a nice person at all. Seems to hate his job. UD should fire him!!
Class is pretty damn boring. I never went to class BUT i READ the entire book (it sucked the life outta me) and made my own notes. If you think your an above average or an excellent student take this course because its based on two exams which are graded on a z-score curve.

This man hurts the soul. He is so boring, and doesn't even make sense half of the time. MY class was dead silent. by the end there were only 9 people out of 46! Just find another professor if you want this class. He was terrible.

Multiple-guess exam format--just 2 a semester (easy in that respect if you can manage to avoid drifting as much as Stalker). He is the worse teacher I have had at UD, although he has written on many interesting and related topics and knows a lot of the people we studied.
I found the discussion of the lottery paradox especially interesting. I'm now a determinist!
The reason no one likes this man is because the majority of his students are idiots. If you ask a worthwile question he will answer, and will be very willing to help. However, if all you want is a better grade than you deserve than of course he will be mean to you, and should be mean to you because you are stupid and dont deserve to be at a college
after the 3rd class I went to Dr. Stalker's office hours with a good question, which he answered and we discussed. I totally understand everything that he says in class and am not suprised when he is mean to stupid people. If you ask a stupid question what do you expect, especially from a guy with severe chronic back pain. Quit whining!!!
He seems like a nice guy, but his lectures are pretty ridiculously boring. His tests are really hard, but he curves them. On the first exam (out of two), I got the second highest grade in the class with an 82. He's knowlegable and friendly.
This class is painfully boring. He seems like a very nice guy, he isn't afraid to use his own odd form of wit, although some people find his wit awkward, I respect his comfort level up there when he is teaching. The class sucks though, it is difficult kind of, and his teaching style/voice/material is obscenely boring.

Gives an old time lecture; uses overhead projector; helps to go to class because each lecture assumes familiarity with previous; average grade just over a C; only one text; many handouts online explaining text and lecture topics; tests multiple choice; results curved; covers main problems of philosophy from analytic view.
Arguably... One of the most intelligent men I know, he'd be set with these upset students that don't want to pay attention and dick around all day long... imagine paying to take a philosophy course only to either not do the work because your unsatisfied. I'd pay Douglas stalker to teach my kid about philosophy personally.
