Once you get used to his teaching style, it's not so bad. He often brings up amusing analogies, but for 8 o'clock in the morning, it's still hard to stay focused on his lectures. The tests were hard at times, but I think alot of it is because of all the material.

I guess I'm one of the many that despise this professor. He's just really rude to his students and doesn't really care that much in general. He's extremely disorganized. His notes are terrible, and his jokes are bad as well. The format of his tests are not great either. It's just hard to understand what he expects out of us. *sigh*

Disorganized. Prides himself on hard tests/not revealing any practice. always late. Needs to be demoted a step to find his professionalism. I actually hear hes being looked at for associate prof. Bad Decision for OSU. I just have an undergrad degree and I could do better. just lack of caring. OSU needs another prof for this class. its missing alot

Warrick is one of my favorite teachers at OSU. Yes, his tests are hard, but it's supposed to be - it's a 400 level class. Anything that he covers in class is fair game on a test, but he keeps you engaged in the material. He doesn't answer his emails as often as he should, but in all fairness he only has one hand.

Dr. Warrick is kind of a butt hole at times. He giggles when he hands out exams, and giggles even more once he looks at ones students turn in. But the good thing is, he is pretty entertaining and obviously really knows his stuff. I am pissed he wont be teaching my final term in physiology to be honest.

I really don't know why everyone seems to think he's rude and arrogant- I ask him questions after class and in emails and his answers are always thoughtful. His tests are difficult because they are all long answer and his style is different, but I think he does a good job of forcing his students to learn and sythesize information.

His tests are difficult, but if you study the slides you can manage to get fairly decent grades on the tests. IF he gives you a study sheet for a test you should pay attention to it (esp. if it is a story about a cave woman). Overall... ok. Very funny teacher! HE LOVES REPRODUCTION!

Ten weeks of ominous power-points coated in blunt (comical?) mystery of which are actually required course material. Each lecture begins at least 5 minutes late and is mostly anecdotal. Each exam is a useless, cryptic regurgitation from years past. Your advisor will wonder what happened to your gpa soon enough. You should get out while you can.

I have utmost hatred for this professor. All the positive reviews below were written by associates and friends of his. Everyone that I have spoken to share the same passion of disgust we have for this teacher. He is not courteous, nice, nor polite. He never answers his e-mail nor questions regarding his tests. What a joke for OSU and its staff.

not interested in students' learning.... very laid back approach to teaching, and it hurts the class a lot. his tests consists of random pictures and diagrams that don't fully reveal the learning outcomes of the class. unclear expectations of what to do and how to learn. lectures are useless along with the textbook. he just rambles most of the time

This professor was amazing. I never understood some of the physiology concepts until I took his class. He was funny, made the subject interesting and applicable, and I always laughed during his test even though they were difficult. If you're going to professional school it is really helpful in med/vet physio courses. He makes you learn the material

Dr. Warrick is a very funny teacher, but very disorganized. I found his classes very effective, because that teaching style appeals to me; I will pay attention if the professor is funny. Go to class, or you will fail. The textbook is no use when Warrick is teaching, it's all lecture based material. Also, prompt him if he's forgotten to do something

*NEED to record lectures to do well. Don't need book which saves money (aka wikipedia). KNOW the vocab, graphs and the processes thourghly. Don't leave anything out that might be involved in a process when answering the exam questions. Everything he puts on the test is off his slides/lecture. Has alot of slides, most are pictures which are helpful.

Slides are awful, if you don't take good notes at all times you will be lost. Often skips over concepts/slide components with no explanation. Rambles during lectures. Always 10-15 minutes late (even for the final exam!) I get the impression he is either lazy or just does not care. You will learn a lot, but that might not correspond to a good grade.

super awesome teacher. Very easily sidetracked however. Out of a lecture about 10% will be tested material. However you will learn a HUGE amount of cool stuff. Sometimes the sidetracking can be a bit confusing. Most test questions are on HUMAN systems, so focus on those for studying. Great guy too, easy to talk to if you need help.

Had him in Comparative Anatomy. Tough exams, confusing material, but honestly, what do you expect in a 400 level class? I loved having him as a prof he is entertaining in lectures and gives great examples but you gotta put in some long hours. Exams are purely application of class concepts to new scenarios, very little straight memorization.

I've really enjoyed Dr. Warrick's classes. He's a great lecturer and I think he's tough, but he isn't over the top! For a lot of us, we're pre-med or pre-pharm so he knows this is an important class to get down the basics before we graduate. He slips in funny jokes every once in a while and takes the time to address questions during and after class

Lectures are almost as useless as his slides. What he lacks in organization he doubles down on with his inability to clearly articulate the full scope of what is being covered or what students are responsible for knowing. Best bet is try to find online learning tools to teach you the material, because he is unlikely to do so.

Dr Warrick is the worst professor Ive had. The whole grade is made of of your 3 exams, final is 40% or something. He is disrespectful to disabled students.
