Really good teacher. He is very clear and makes math really easy. He is very approachable and a very good communicator. He gives out a study guide for his tests that tell you everything thats going to be on them.
Wilberscheid is a really good teacher. He makes math really easy to understand.
one of the BEST math teacher's i have ever had, really helpful, take him, u won't regret it!!
He is the most awesome math teacher. He makes it so easy to understand and learn. He is also very laid-back and easy-going. He was awesome!
very rude if he doesn't like you
He was a really good teacher. He explains the material very clearly. He doesnt require attendance, but you won't learn the material if you don't go to class and do the homework. He was a rather easy teacher.
He is one of the greatest math teachers I ever had. Always williang to help when needed. You can tell math is his passion. He is very attractive so if ypu dont mind the distraction of his looks then this is a class I highly recommend. He tries his best to make you pass all you need is the effort. A++ teacher
By far one of the best - if not THE best - teacher at IRCC. As a physics undergrad at UCF, I can honestly say that everything I learned in the 3 classes I took (calc I & II, Diff. Eq.) was extremely well taught and being used now in my current classes. If you plan to transfer to a university and want to be well prepped, take his classes.
He was a great teacher. Made classes very interesting and made things very clear.
Don't get on his bad side, otherwise your semester will be horrible.
i had the hardest time learing at the fast pace he teaches at!
Avoid this guy he will ruin your GPA.!He rushes thru chapters ,weights tests at 85%-the highest alllowable weight!Doesn't care if you are failing and doesn't curve.Half the class had to withdraw. The Only class I have ever withdrawn from , What a waste of time and money.
He is a great teacher. I love that he gave so many tests, so often; it really helps you to stay on track. Calc II is a difficult class (especially those sequences and series!) but he is very clear in his explanations and is willing to help if you're lost.
Goes a little fast, but get's the point across.
He is a great teacher. He really cares about his students success. Even after I took his class, I would come to him with questions from my other math class. He does go a little fast, however I still understood everything. If you don't he is more than willing to stay after class and work with you! He's a GREAT professor!!!
He is a good teacher, but you have to really be there and make sure you understand becasue if not, ULL GET LosT! He goes really fast and can catch a cheater, so dont get caught. If there is another choice of a teacher that is easier take them, if not work and and do ALL of the work!
He doesn't give good notes.
Mr Wilberscheid has to be the world's best math teacher. He is VERY organized. Very helpful! Sets aside tons of office time so you can meet with him whenever you have time. Just an all around amazing teacher. Wish there were more teachers like him
I WOULD RECCOMEND HIM FOR ANYONE, VERY VERY GOOD TEACHER. VERY CLEAR ON MATERIAL.
Very smart, clarity is crystal, just a hard subject. He doesnt give extra credit, he only expects hard work. Which is expected in college.
He goes WAYYYY to fast. He always lets you out early, quizzes every thursday n they r from ur hw. The midterm is not m/c and u really have to study. final was m/c but it wasnt like anything we did in the textbook. Dont really recommend him unless ur good at math.
Excellent teacher, would recommend to anyone!! Very thorough and willing to help you to understand!!! The key is to attend class, take notes, and do your homework!~you will do well!
He's a good teacher and makes himself accessible to his students. If you have trouble with math he's helpful. He does teach quickly though & there's a weekly quiz. DO WELL ON THE QUIZZES! The midterm is short answer and the final is mc and both are difficult. If you're bad at algebra like I am take it online. If you're good at it then take him.
He is strictly business. Teaches extremely fast. Finds ways to take points off your test. Not personable. Writes very small on board. Has a low pass rate. But does allow you to use 1 index card of notes on every test. Attendance is not mandatory but will help a lot. If you take him: sit up front, never bring your phone,& pay very close attention
Good teacher, gives a quiz every week, off of the home work.teaches really fast, really never slows down so if your not Great at math and cant retain information quickly dont take his class
Great teacher. I heard from many other students how hard statistics was with their professors but Prof. Wilbersheid was great. Always willing to help and makes sure everyone understands. You can not get a beeter math teacher!
He is a great guy, I don't think I have ever had a more helpful teacher. His tests are straight from the homework and no surprises, if you can't get an A in his class its because you didn't study/ do homework
he is a very strict teacher. do as he says and you should pass stats. do the homework daily and you should pass. he lets you use one index card on the test and a graphing calculator. its not an easy class if your not a "math student". he will help you in anyway to but do not go in thinking thier extra credit on anything or he will curve ur grade.
If you are able to spend a large quantity of your time studying, go for it. If you are also trying to work 25+ hours a week, I caution you. He expects you to take his class very seriously, an A is impossible unless you do the homework. Not very personable; and don't expect extra credit- I think it would violate his sense of fairness.
Mr. Wilbersheid always came to a lesson plan and was very meticulous with his work. I always left class happy.
If you plan on taking him for a simple math course then you might be ok. I took him for Calc 2 and he goes so fast, it's tough to understand a new subject. He answers questions but it's hard to come up with a question when you don't understand the material at all. Tests are given every week so if you're up for that take him, if not take another
He is a great teacher. Textbook is a must, homework every class. He is very helpful if you need it. His directions are clear but quick. I had 5 classes and an A in this, it is possible.
great teacher, very clear. 4 tests, 4 online assinments. reviews Homework before starting the next section to answer questions. lets you use note card on test!
I took his class in fall and ended up dropping it because I could not keep up with him. He goes so fast!!! and when we ask hw questions he would only answer a few then told us that he didn't have time to see him during his office hrs. Please ck his reviews first before taking him. I learn my lesson the hard way never again!
I took Mr. wilbersheid in the fall and I was able to keep up with because I spent a lot of time working at the ASC lab. He knows math pretty good and doesn't make mistake like some teachers. His office hours are free and painless if you want to pass his college algebra course(MAC1105). Do your homework before you come to class because that's where
Mr. Wilberscheid is such a bad teacher. We have quizzes every wensday and it's horrible. He goes way to fast and we only get 15 minutes on 5 quiz questions. But in reality its only about 10, he gives hard problems on the quiz and expects us to write it exactly as he wants. I have a C at the moment, and im normally good at maths. Dont take.
I've got my BS in EE from UF now, and looking back taking Calc and Diff EQ from this guy was the right choice! Best higher level math teacher at IRSC from my experience (and I tutored for the dept as a student)
I LOVE THIS TEACHER! He is excellent! He explains things very nicely. And Mr. W takes the time to explain things to you and tutor you in whatever you don't understand. I've spent hours every week with him getting help on my math homework. He does assign a lot of homework, he does go fast, BUT he also DOES care about you and your grade.
Professor W. is a great instructo, very to the point No suprises Homework is helpful because all his test are from the homework. He is passionate about teaching and very knowledgeable. He cares about your grades. He is the best teacher to take sta with in IRSC. Run away from Strale Jr. he makes his class harder than what it really is Intro to Sta.
He is GREAT. Rarely makes any mistakes and is absolutely crystal clear with his teachings. He makes it as simple as possible, eve nthough the subject can surprisingly be difficult for some. Tests for statistics are short answer but he throws no curveballs as he says it. Tests are straight forward and if you do hw you'll be fine!
Great teacher. You definitely have to do the homework and stay on top of it because the class moves fast and it just keeps on compiling! Mr. W. is great at making it easy to understand... trying to get an explanation from the book is like reading chinese. Take really good notes and review your homework before the quizzes.. tests are challenging
I fail the class, English is my second language, but Professor Wilberscheid is the best professor in IRSC for statistics ,crystal clear, do your homework, computer modules. He also go over home work and if you don't understand something he will explain it to you. He is the man for this class!!!
Awesome teacher, but moves fast. He will help you during his office hours if you need it though. He motivated me to keep going. Very important to do all of the homework and practice it if possible, quizzes and exams will be pulled directly from it.
I took Pre-Calc with Schramm in the Fall of 2011 but I couldnt understand Maple. Took this class with Mr. W and LOVED IT! I've learned the material SO MUCH better! He actually TEACHES in his classes and he took the time in his office hours to help me out. He has PLENTY of hours set aside for helping his students. He is BEST math teacher at IRSC!
His class is pretty fair, he goes a little fast, but he puts in extra time to help if you need it. Copy everything he writes on the board, quizzes every week. I absolutely hate math, but Mr. Wilberscheid made me hate it less a little less =).
One of the better professors I've had. The class was challenging, but he clearly explained what we were trying to do, and how to go about doing it, so it wasn't too bad. He was incredibly helpful both in class and during office hours. Not only did I get a good grade, I still understand what I learned and could use it again. Brilliant.
I did horrible in my Calc I class at a university. After taking Wilbershield's calculus II class, I feel so much better about everything I learned! He was so easy to understand and follow. If you do the homework, you'll do very well on the tests. He gives weekly tests and some chances to improve your grade. DO NOT TAKE THE ONE NIGHT A WEEK CLASS!
If math is not your strong suite don't take him. I even went to class early to get some extra help. Instead he humiliated me, never had that experience before! Although I with drew before the deadline he still gave me an F??
this is not an easy class he is a good teacher, knows what he is talking about. but sometimes tends to go to fast and erases stuff before u get it all down. his test are hard and doesnt give any extra credit. so go tp class and pay attention and always do yur homework.
Talks extremely fast, I would only suggest taking him if you're already strong in the subject. Nice guy but not a great teacher.
I struggle with math, statistics was a scary class to go into. Professor W. is a wonderful teacher though, he goes over the material an adequate amount of times and will answer any of your questions. You can tell he really enjoys his job and that made his class pleasant to be in. If I was good at math I would take all his courses!
Great teacher. All tests are straight from the homework. His classes arent boring and he uses real life examples. As long as you do the homework, go to class, and do the four online assignments you will do great!
This was my 2nd time taking stats, and he explained everything perfectly. Just do the homework and the online modules, and you'll be fine. He'll help you with whatever you need no matter what. I cant say this enough - PLEASE save yourself from taking it twice. Take him! He's awesome!
Never had gotten anything less than an A+ in math before his class and i struggled to pass. His tests are only 10 questions and at least 3 questions are extremely hard. Doesn't drop any tests. i would avoid him at all costs. never curves any grades and will give no credit on a question if you dont "explain your answer right."
Professor Wilberscheid is always there you ! Very helpful and as long as you use Gordon Rule Book you will get credit. I would take him for college algebra if he was teaching it.
Professor Wilberscheid is a passionate, knowledgeable professor when it comes to Statistics. He is always staying after class to help his students, and is thorough with his lectures. He has a review lecture before every exam, and will help you with any homeworkonline module problems. His exams (4) are 80% of your grade, so learning is key here.
He assigns question from the sections, but doesn't grade them, so don't count on any credit for it!Tests/quizzes are every Thursday and he'll assign questions from, let's say section 3.1 and 3.2 for a combined total of 26 questions, but only 5 will be on the the test/quiz and they are not multiple choice .
He teaches at a very quick pace and does not give you much time to take things in and ask questions. He has a quiz every week that are based on the two sections you leaned and the homework. To pass, you must spend A LOT of at home time on the class. No extra credit. Unless you have plenty of time and patience I definitely would not recommend him.
Professor Wilberscheid provides lots of extra points on tests, practice tests are provided in a timely manner, and the student is rewarded for taking them. All in all, as long as you keep up with homework and reading, you'll do fine.
Mr. Wilberscheid was a great teacher in my eyes. He was very supportive and it was super easy to get an A in his class. I was able to even go ahead of the other students if I wanted to and he fully supported it. He always gives really positive feedback and delivers PLENTY of extra credit, so if you fail then why are you even in college?
I had Wilbershied for Calc 2 and 3 and he is honestly the perfect professor. If all professors in the world were like him the world would be a better place. Truly cares about students; excellent at conveying information; always willing to help in office hours that are free and painless; highly highly recommend to all.
This guy cares a lot about his work as a teacher at IRSC. If you do the homework you will be "in good shape" as he says. His tests are very straight forward and are exactly like the homework. If you go see him during his office hours, he will stop everything to help you and will be very patient as he helps you understand the work. Love this man.
College Algebra is something that a lot of my friends have struggled with at IRSC. This professor, unlike the other professors, does not do online homework. Trust me this is amazing. Instead, he assigns homework in the book, and then the test is the same problems as the homework. He does quizzes once a week which keeps you ahead of the work. TakeDW
DE Student: The only thing he grades in this class is tests and online quizzes. There are only 4 tests in his class and they are very hard and long. The homework is not a grade however it's your practice for the test. I procrastinated on the homework so I did bad on the tests. His lectures are also very long but he explains things clearly.
While I took College Algebra online, his resources were very helpful and he was always willing to help when needed. The schedule of activities he provided was extremely useful for keeping me on track and he did a great job at reminded students to take tests and complete the extra credit activities.
one of the best math professors at IRSC, come to class, take notes and do the homework or will not pass.
Five (90 mins) proctored tests, I ran out of time. Not multiple choice so if you don't know how to do one you can't even take an educated guess. Take this class only if you know Math really well. Otherwise, you are setting yourself up for failure.
The best Professor at IRSC! The only class I enjoyed learning in. I appreciated his hard work and constant dedication to making sure I not only understood the material but he gave constant compliments on the work I did and the progress I made.
I took his class at the college the course is ran through my mayhlab. He provides examples on each assignment and always willing to help you. If you need help dont hesitate to ask. Before Test day he gives you 3 sets of practice tests to complete and if you do well you can recieve 10pts towards the test itself! Best professor ever!
Wilbersheid was an excellent math professor. He made statistics look so easy. His exams are NOT multiple but he lets you use an index card for every exam. The homework for this class was not bad at all. The most problems he gave out was about 5-10 on wileyplus. He gives you textbook problems but they are on your own practice, they are not graded.
I had him for Differential Equations and Calc 3 At first I was overwhelmed by how fast he was, but I got used to it. He is an incredibly smart man, and I learned so much in his classes, he could answer almost anything. If you're poor in math, may seem hard. If you want to firmly understand concepts, then take him. Best professor I ever had.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER. i love this guy his class is my best class. hw is done in class & quizzes can be done at home or in class. if you dont understand he will help you right away and is very caring & understanding. tests are a lil hard but if u understand the material theyre easy. extra credit for showing ur work and doing the practice problems
Calc 2 is a hard class, but he makes it unnecessarily harder. Assigns roughly 10 hours of HW a week (ungraded). Entire grade is overly difficult tests and a couple of pointless, but easy projects. Attendance HIGHLY encouraged. He can be a bit unclear at times, but is always willing to help.
This professor is very warm, but lecture heavy. There are only four tests and the online homework. You are allowed to have on index card during the test, and the final test in non cumulative. Would recommend
I loved this class! I had him for calculus 2 and I didn't start out too great. It had been almost 2 years since I had taken a math class and he made it as easy as possible to understand not only what was expected but the concepts themselves. I am taking him again for CALC 3 for sure!! Complete and understand the homework and you will do well here!
Professor Wilberscheid is an amazing math teacher. His lectures are very clear and he is always there to help. I had him for pre calc and it was one of my favorite classes Ive had at the college thus far. He gives a quiz every week, which is basically some of the homework questions, also there is a midterm and final. Totally recommend, great guy.
Really awesome professor, loved his classes. Grades only tests and if you do the homeworks, no surprises there. Very fun lectures, keeps the information interesting, he can move fast though. Only con is that history classes may seem boring after you see all the stuff you can't do in it.
Great professor! He gave quizzes once a week based on homework. Homework isn't graded but If you do it, you'll pass. Only tests he gave were the midterm and final. He gives a study guide for the midterm and final that's exactly like the test. He always gives help if you need it and has long office hours.
I LOVE HIM. He is one of the best professors I have had. Makes the lectures interesting and easy to understand. Lets you use a index card on the test and final is not cumulative!! He really wants to help you and see you succeed. Homework isnt graded and wileyplus projects are very easy!!
Mr. Wilberscheid allows you to take the class at your own pace, watching videos on lessons, and completing the homework. Every few weeks, there is a test (4 total) which are averaged for your grade. There are also interviews after each test to ensure you understand the material. The material is difficult, but you can always contact him for help!
Great professor! Had him for MAC2312 and MAC2313 both of which were online. He provides thorough videos for each section which contain the material and example problems identical to the homework. Tests consisted of a written/problem portion and a verbal interview to ensure you understand the concepts. Generous partial credit, responsive, helpful!
By far the best professor I have had. I took STA2023 with him online and his lectures were very helpful. Every chapter he has guided notes, and he records himself working through the notes with you and explains every chapter step by step. I 100% recommend him. I was very scared taking statistics but, he made it very simple and easy for me.
I took his statistics class online. He's very specific with his lectures, goes through everything step by step and is very willing to help you through his office hours and questions through emails. I was struggling at one point and he reached out to me. There's four tests, multiple choice. You MUST put in the work and watch the lectures to pass!!
I took calc 2,3 and diff egn's with him and wish he could offer more. He's a fair professor and is always approachable, "office hours are free and painless". Do the assigned homework problems, take notes in class and you should at least pass his courses. There are no surprises on the tests and partial credit is given where minor mistakes are made.
Prof. Wilberscheid is a great professor and if you are taking him for stats it is super easy. If you do your assignments after the lectures it is super helpful in passing the class. Also the tests are exactly the same as the homework/quizzes, so if you easily passed those then the tests are super easy.
He is a very good explainer and if any help is needed he is happy to help. And at the end of class he tells us that we did a great job in his class and encourages us to learn.
Very nice teacher, and like to help students who do not understand the material. Give great encouragement.
Overall my favorite class from this semester. Great teacher and explains things clearly and to the point.
One of the worst professors I've ever had. Had lots of questions on homework assignments because I couldn't understand some of them. He literally told to look back at the notes we did in class even though they weren't much help to begin with. Probably the only person I've ever met that truly made me feel stupid whenever I asked a question to him.
One of the few professors that truly cares about his students academic standing. Offers help when you need it.
Hands down best professor I've had. Calc 2 is no easy subject but his course is really organized and easy if you put in the effort. Only 4 test grades and 2 other assignments go into the gradebook, homework isn't graded. He assigns homework after every lecture and Test questions come straight from the homework, so if you do them you will pass.
This is the best math professor in this school. He truly wants you to pass and he gives you great feedback. He gives homework every week but it is super easy and there are also quizzes but they are not too hard. He gives you lots of extra credit as well if you focus and come to class every day.
Professor Wilberscheid is an amazing professor. I had him as a professor for intermediate algebra and statistics. I am not the best at math, but Professor Wilberscheid helped me so much. If you put in the effort to reach out during office hours or even if you need more help like one on one, he will be there and help you.
Favorite math professor ever. I took Professor Wilberscheid for Calc 2 and 3 and passed both with an A. In calc 3, it was only 5 tests that were just homework questions, and homework wasn't graded. If you do the homework, you'll pass with an A. He had one take home test and all had extra credit opportunities. I would hands down take him again.
Really great professor, you will not regret taking him he works through math problems with you if your stuck and and is always ready to help if needed.
I took him for three classes, and that's not without reason. He's funny, he's enthusiastic, he's clear and concise with all he teaches, and with no homework required for turn in you can work at your own pace. If you can, absolutely take him for both Calc 2 & 3, as well as DiffEQ. Don't snooze on the homework, though!
He genuinely cared and let me come in for extra lectures and work on the day of the test and final. I was an online student but no matter that, he treated me like any ordinary student that attended lectures daily. He is extremely accessible and its clear he wants all his student to pass. I highly reccomend him.
Homework Load: 3.5 of 5 (9 to 14 Hours a Week). Exam Difficulty: 3.7 to 4 of 5. No graded homework, more meaning than "a number in a box"; a sentiment I agree with. Great opportunity to grow responsibility & ownership of ones work. Group projects (20% of Grade) were fun! Free & Painless office hours during hours through the week, always helpful.
Professor D is the kindest and most caring prof. I expected Stats to be impossible but thanks to his incredible teaching, this class was the easiest math course ever. I have only kind words to say and I wish I could take every math class with him. His tests are easier than the homework and there are never any surprises. 100% recommend.
Ive taken this course 3 times. I was scared to take this course. As hard as I tried I just didn't test well. But the professor was kind, encouraging, and motivated me til the end. As such I never have to take a course of Math again!!! Thank you Sir. Happy Tears were shed on this day.
Excellent professor! I was nervous about taking Statistics, expecting it to be difficult, but it wasn't so bad. He is always willing to help his students, no matter what. All his exams are somewhat similar to the homework, so don't slack off from doing the homework. Do the assignments, study, and ask questions, and you will do fine in this course.
He was very clear in his lectures and takes time to go over homework questions. I definitely would take his class again. It can be a lot of homework and quiz questions. But it's less overwhelming if you do a little at a time and I really liked that you can repeat each question on the homework or quiz to receive a better grade.
Great professor. I would recommend him for any math you're taking. He makes difficult concepts very easy in lecture, and provides an opportunity to go over homework problems at the beginning of lecture if you were confused on something. Overall, a great professor. Definitely take him!
Professor Wilberscheid is incredibly caring and wants all students to succeed. While stats can be tough, his step-by-step lectures and willingness to help make this class manageable. Unstuck AI is a great study resource alongside the free textbook.
Professor W was passionate during his lectures. You'll be in good standing if you take enough notes and pay attention to the homework and quizzes. My only issue was his test. While yea he does say that the quizzes are exactly like the tests, they're almost the opposite. On the bright side, at least you get your needed formulas during the tests.
Awesome teacher. Had him for statistics and overall he made the course very easy with his lectures. Never felt overwhelmed. I'm not very math savvy but I always felt confident with the material being taught. He's a great teacher.
