Great teacher.
Great teacher. Gives you plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Very helpful and interestings. Highly recommended.
Very humorous and cool. Be ready to take a LOT of notes at 100 MPH. Overall, he is a great teacher.

Notes, Notes and MORE NOTES. But if you attend class you should do well. Most test material comes from the lecture, not the book. He takes, what is a dry subject to most, and makes it interesting by engaging the students to discuss and debate.
DR.YOUNG IS AN AWESOME TEACHER. YOU TAKE A LOT OF NOTES SO BE READY TO WRITE. EVERYTHING ON THE TEST COMES FROM THE NOTES AND DR. YOUNG ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE UP TO 10 EXTRA CREDIT POINTS PER TEST. AWESOME TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!! VERY HELPFUL!
I took Dr. Young at Gordon College several years ago, and I still consider his base POLS class as one of the most interesting classes I ever took.
Great guy. I never took a class with him, but I was a writer for the school paper, which he was a supporter of, so we talked a lot.
He is the greatest teacher! I learned so much from him, he really is great! and hott! I love you Dr. Young!
Likes to talk. Test is from lecture, but read exactly what he tells you. It will be on the test for sure. Lot's of notes.
This guy is the****. really smart, class is interesting, young is fun. just take good notes and youll be right.
What he had to say was interesting but he never really let the students talk...he wouldn't answer questions while he was speaking, if you raise your hand prepare to keep it up for a long time. Over all I learned some interesting facts, but his interaction with students, in class, was very poor.
I would say he is an asset to any faculty. Yes, he is one of those who talk beginning to end every class but frankly, he makes up for it thousand times with what he says. Very proficient, clear, enthusiastic. His classes are a pure enjoyment and grading is very, very fair. Don't wonder, take him now
A HUMAN HISTORY BOOK. His tests are rough but you will learn more than one could imagine.
Lots of notes, but notes are exactly what is on the test. He is an awesome teacher and will keep any student interested until the very end of class. Completely woke me up as far as my life goes. Amazing man and an amazing teacher!!
Very Knowlegable!!
Dr. Yound is an amazing teacher!! He is so smart and can open somebody's eyes up to the world. If you need help and you ask him for help, he will help you in one second. If you follow his study guides you will get an A in his classes. Don't raise your hand in his class, just speak out. It does matte
Amazing Amazing teacher!!!!!Very interesting and i hated history before his class
Conveys incorrect information about the course
Dr. Young is such a good teacher. He conveys such a passion and interest in his subjects and made me want to learn more. His classes are not necessarily easy, but I would say that they have been probably the best I have taken in college.
also took hist 2112---can't get a word in, lectures entire time, lots of notes, just read up, ask him any questions -he loves to talk....human history book......tests are tricky....essays are intense (2 per test)......great teacher though
HE is a hard teacher, but a very funny woman. Very layed back, but gives you work. You can't just fly out of his class with an A or a B. You ahve to work for it. I love this man, though. He is so nice and understanding. Explains everything, and gets to the students level. crazy discussions
Awesome, and definately know's his stuff. I hated history before his class. Tons of info, eye opening perspectives/info that you won't find in the book. You'll never get bored in this class. He is one of the most enthusiastic teachers I've ever had.
He made history more interesting and fun. I would actually show up to his class. His tests are not that hard as long as you take good notes and go over what he has on the syllabus for you to read.
He excels time after time and is one of the best teachers anyone can ever hope to meet anywhere in their academic career. He relays info in a way that is easy to absorb for the long run. If you do not do well in his classes, the fault likely lies within you, not the exams. Do the xtra credit(s) too!
Dr. Young is the best teacher I have ever had in my life! He is an open book and he knows more than an Encyclopedia. I would sugest taking every class you can with him. If you wana have a great converstion about politics, stop by his office, he loves people and I am sure he will fill your head with all kinds of information.
he is the best teacher you could ever have in college.....must take his class
Friendly and energetic teacher. I would not recommend for summer.lots of material to cover and not time was not totally well managed. He lectures for 2 1/2 hours straight (that is alot of note taking). very intelligent and knowledgable. Tests are based on lectures and not too difficult must write long essays. tests are timed so make sure you allow
Dr. Young is a down to earth, dedicated professor. Loves teaching and it shows. Summer class moves very fast and covers alot of info. Some questions on his tests are essays and he asks some extra credit questions to help students with their scores.
Loved the teacher, he was very interesting. Made the lectures go by fast. A lot of note taking. Test come from the notes. Extra Credit comes from the books. Hard Test, Essays in every test.
Dr. Young is AWESOME!!!!!
Very entergetic teacher. He made the material interesting during his lectures, and had several interesting side-stories along with the subjects. Tests come directly from the lectures with extra credit questions from assigned reading. I would recommend him for any class he teaches.
Really upbeat teacher however in some cases kinda odd. alot of note taking is expected but his lectures are interesting. His tests are so hard! 50% essays and the rest are mult, t/f, and extra credit. do take notes and do study! gives extra points for attendance and is willing to give extra help! overall hes a good...but hard...teacher.
Best teacher i've ever had!!!! i took in summer - The whole class had the best time !!
Excellent professor, super nice guy. Very fair on tests, would definetely recommend.
Great Teacher. Very energetic. Test are hard but he does cover everything in detail. Overall a good teacher and I would reccomend to anyone to take any of his calsses.
awsome teacher! very interesting lectures. his test are hard if you dont study. although he does cover alot of information for the test he does tell you what to remember. has amusing stories and stuff he'll share in class
Great professor!! He is always willing to go the extra mile to assist in any possible way. He gives you a study guide with info that will be on the test and he even tells you essay questions. Can easily get a good grade if you pay attention in class and study the material. I would take him again!
i cannot say enough about this professor!!!!!!!!!! he is one you will never forget and you will want to take more classes with him! FAIR! GREAT TESTS! GREAT HELP OUT OF CLASS! MADE EVERYTHING SEEM INTERESTNG AND
EXCELLENT PROFESSOR! He is very clear and you know exactly what to expect on every test. I made an A, and I am currently taking him again for POLS 2301!
This is the best teacher on campus! He keeps your attention and doesn't make his tests too hard.
I've taken Young five times and I'm saying that he is hands down, THE best teacher at GSC. If history or gov't isn't your thing, DON'T take him! But if you love it, like I do, then by all means do! Makes class very interesting! I still don't think that his girlfriend, Xiaoyin, actually exists!
Dr. Young is the best!! I took him for two classes, which I had him five days a week and enjoyed hearing him. If you want to do good and learn you need to come to class. Dr. Young helped me this semester a lot especially when a tradegy came in my life, he helped me with the material during that time.
He was my favorite professor. He is an awesome teacher and is very funny. The class was all lecture but he makes it interesting and he lets you know what will be on the tests. He wants his students to do good. Attendence is not madatory but you should go because he only covers certain points and thats what is on the tests.
Best teacher I have ever had. Makes more of an impact on people's lives than he prob thinks! All lecture. Take notes. He is not afraid to teach the truth that you have been blinded by your whole life. I learned more history in his class than all of the others combined. Bravo,Douglas A+++++++
AMAZING TEACHER!!!! he gives out a study guide the first day of class, and goes exactly word by word. He only gives 3 tests, and i had him in a summer session; and i made an A on all three tests giving me an A in the class. HANDS DOWN THE BEST TEACHER AT GSC!!!!
He made this class fun and lectures were interesting when they really shouldn't have been. He loves what he teaches and that definitely helps. However, you have to be in class to hear lectures to do well on the tests; he doesn't use the book.
Dr. Young is amazing; the best teacher I've had. He makes history come to life in his lectures. His tests are somewhat difficult, but if you pay attention and look over his notes, you'll do fine!
A Legend
Great Great man. Loves what he does. Just come to class and add notes 2 his study guide. And write a practice essay on one of the topics before class and there is no reason u cant get an A. DR. Young is the man
Dr.Young is a great teacher there was not very many questions he didn't have the answers to. He gives out a study guide and he uses the guide to make the tests. You don't really have to read the book if it's on the guide and he talks about it in class it will be on the test. Take good notes and you'll do fine!
he is the best teacher ever! i can not say enough good things about the man. i still use the notes is took in my comparitive politics class for other things. they are a great reference. and by the way, i saw his chinese girlfriend and him at panera breat one time, so she does exist. :)
Professor Young is one of the best professors Ive ever had. He is very comedic and is there to make your experience with history memboral. He knows the answer to every question and has the easiest tests show up to class and you pass A legend and a honor to have as my teacher
DR. YOUNG IS SOOOOO EASY!! HE GIVES YOU THE STUDY GUIDE WITH EVERY SINGLE THING THAT WILL BE ON THE TEST. WHILE HE LECTURES YOU WILL TAKE A LOT OF NOTES, BUT FEAR NOT..HE WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE TEST! JUST A HINT..WRITE DOWN EVERY THING HE SAYS IS IMPORTANT, B/C THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WILL BE ON HIS TEST AND NOTHING MORE!!! ITS SU
I have had Dr. Young for POLS1101, POLS2201, and POLS2301. Incredible, energetic, humorous. The lectures are loooong so take good notes and come to class every day. He will always tell you what is going to be on the tests and even what will be an essay question. Grading is very fair and straight forward. He is always available to clarify any questi
Greatest Professor in the world. Just remember the "10" specific points for the essay portion of the exam, and the scores are guaranteed to be in the passing score. Read the text book if you want the extra credit on the exam. Do extremely well on the outside assignment(s) which are like 30% of the grade. Please take this professor if you can.
Very entertaining lecture. Keeps the subject interesting and makes class enjoyable. Always available to answer questions and clarify subject matter. Make sure you attend class in order to have all the necessary notes for the test. Superb teacher!!!
One of the best teachers I've ever had. Didn't like him at first but realized what a great teacher he was if you actually go to class. Very quarky and nerdy but not bias at all. Teaches facts instead of opinions. Very well prepared with articles to back up his information. GREAT teacher.
Great Teacher. By far one of my favorites at Gainesville. His class is a blast. Because of this class I am minoring in Political Science at the University I am attending in January. Dr. Young is awesome!
Hands down the best teacher I've ever had (this is the third college I've attended). I really love politics so I greatly appreciated his immense breadth of knowledge and his passionate attitude towards teaching. Be ready to laugh a lot and learn even more. Extremely helpful, especially if you seek him out after class. I highly reccomend this class!
Very good teacher. More than just helpful. Really wants students to visit him with questions. Approached me in the hallway just to see if I understood the lesson. Doesn't use the book much, only for extra credit on tests. Take great notes and listen to his hints on what is on the test to make good grade.
This professor is the BEST YOU WILL EVER GET PEOPLE:) His upbeat personality in lecture and outside of class has earned him an A+! I was not interested in Political Science and international affairs until I took his courses. All three of his courses have taught me A LOT! You do have to pay attention and take notes folks, but it is worth it!
Previously graded this professor and this program accidentally put my interest level at a 1, when I gave it a 5! Dr. Young is the most fun and interesting professor I have had yet (127 hours acquired in college so far). He may seem hard, but taking any of his courses is worth it, if you want to actually learn a lot about history and POLS!
Dr. Young is amazing. I went from not enjoying history to loving it. He makes everything come to life and knows so much information it is as if he were best friends with all of the historical figures. He is such a joy to have for a professor!
Dr. Young gives the best lectures and is very entertaining but most of his tests come from his lectures so you better be there and take good notes. His office is always open for guidance, conversation or to just borrow a good book. One of my favorite professors at GSC and a big reason why I returned 5 years after taking his class!
Dr. Young is totally awesome! Sweetest proff ever. Allows for lots of class discussion. 2 easy papers, 3 tests inc. final. Can get by w/o the book. Lots of xtra credit! He really cares about his students. Always available for questions, practice grading, or just chatting. Great guy.
Dr. Young was my favorite professor at Gainesville. He is a great teacher. Take advantage of the Extra Credit! Go to class, take good notes, and read the book and you should get an A, but if not it's an easy B. Take Dr. Young, he is a great teacher!
He's moderately entertaining and reminds me of someone from highschool who never grew up. He occasionally doesn't show up to class without warning, he let's you out 20-45 minutes early in a 75 minute class, and he makes stupid excuses when he messes up blaming the Internet and car problems.
Easy professor - His classes are very structured. Tests have consistent format, the bulk of which are picking two essay questions to write about. Attendance is not mandatory. Book is not required. You'll either love Dr. Young or hate him. I found him biased (conservative Christian slant) and homophobic. If that doesn't bother you, you'll enjoy him.
I love Dr Young! The best professor I have had! He is passionate about the material and makes it so interesting. He is always willing to help or answer questions. I have never had another teacher make history this interesting. If you show up for class and take notes the tests are straight forward. He offers lots of extra credit. Take him!
Greatest professor! He gives you the notes at the beginning in a syllabus which he goes through when he teaches in exact order. When he says "may be important for an essay question" right it down cause that'll be an essay on the test to choose from and he will then give you tons of points to put in your essay
He keeps class very structured and gives you an outline of everything he will go over. He will even point out what is going to be an essay question on the test. Tends to run over on class time though and can be fairly boring. Worth it for his easiness though.
Young is a great teacher who's always available to advise/discuss. His lectures are long but energetic. Whoever said Young was homophobic fell for devil's advocate; he equally represents every side of an issue. He makes it hard for you to guess his affiliations (just look in his office), and he's a funny man w/ great taste (Led Zepp, anyone?)
So easy! But make sure you go to class (everything's in his lectures). Low use of the book, but it's great when you need to answer extra credit ?s on the tests. Knows what he's talking about + makes it interesting; take him!
Great History teacher you will never be board that is for sure. Gives only test but so much extra credit that it is impossiable to fail his class. He tells you what is on the test and what you should remember. Very good lecture class
He is a good teacher... very smart. But I really wished ud use power points or something b/c sometimes if you miss class or miss something that he says its hard to catch up. But he does make class fun and entertaining. Iwish i had studied harder on my own and took better notes.
Very knowledgeable and makes class fun! Definitely makes up for the dry textbook. No actual homework, but expect to do a good amount of studying and note taking if you want to do well in this class.
Hands down the best professor I have ever had. Teacher is very passionate and knowledgable in History. Always willing to help or explain any questions. Take good notes and listen for hints of what will be on the test and you will be just fine.P.S His girlfriend does exist!! Also very strict on grammar and spelling.
One of the best teachers I have had so far! He is very funny and there is never a dull moment. He is passionate about what he teaches and always passes around cool things to look at that relate to the topic. He tells you exactly what to remember for the test and he tells you what the essy topics will be. Takes attendance for extra credi.
Great teacher! Loved the class and learned a ton. His enthusiasm is encouraging and makes you want to do well in the class. He is challenging but if you use his study guide on the syllabus you will do well. Listen in class and take good notes and you will do well. Most important though is to listen to his stories, they make class memorable.
Very nice guy! He's your old fashion kind of prof...no computer work, no essays, no power points. You're grade is based on three tests, and that's it! Test are fairly easy if you attend every day. He doesn't make attendance mandatory, but tests will be hard w/o coming everyday. Over all a very nice person, who'll do anything you need to get an A!
Every test includes essay. Strict on grammar. He is very helpful if you need it. His lectures are very clear and interesting(funny too).
Dr Young is obviously passionate about hearing himself speak. This isn't so bad except that his statistics are consistently questionable, he is condescending at best, and his class is heavy on proselytizing and black and white explanations of a subject that is heavily populated by areas of gray. If you are a serious student do not take his course.
Great guy.Keeps you awake. His class is strictly lecture so you better be there. Speaks extremely fast so you better be good taking notes. Tests are easy but very long. True & false, fill in the blank, multiple choice & 2 essays written in ink, no grammar errors & must be well written. You must be done in 1 hour!I wish I had known before registering.
Dr. Young is very passionate about political science. Come to class because the test comes from his lectures. He does give extra credit that you can only find in the book.Tests also have two essay questions on them.He counts off on grammar but offers help before your test. Great sense of humor! Best professor I have had.
Awesome teacher!! He is always energetic and you can tell he loves what he does. He talked a lot about controversial topics but he always gave the perspective from both sides. Would definitely recommend.
A really great Professor that really cares about what he teaches. He loves the text book but the only use of the book is for extra credit. He has TONS of extra credit opportunity so it's almost impossible to fail his tests. His sense of humor is interesting to say the least but he makes the effort! If the weather is nice he will hold outside class if it's okay with the class so that is always a plus.
I loved this class, it was the highlight of my day when I went. Young is hilarious, but he does lecture (only). He is always willing to help clarify though if you don't understand. He really cares about his students as well as the overall student body of the UNG campus. I totally recommend his class!(he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities)
His class is very easy and he gives good lectures, but a lot of the information he teaches is blatantly biased and he rarely gives both sides of the issue the same attention. Fine if you just need to get the class over with but don't take him if you want to major in polisci.
He was the best professor that I have ever had in college. Yes he lectures a lot and if you miss one you are in trouble, but he is always willing to help if you ask him. I had a situation that would put me missing a test and he worked with me and allowed me to take it early no problem. He is a great professor and just a over all good man.
He is an awesome teacher, I loved his class. He gives a lot of extra credit and they were all fun. you will laugh at least once a class.
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Young. He is well educated in all things concerning Political Science and is very passionate about his work. He only lectures, and it is quite clear what his position on the political spectrum is, but there are plenty of extra credit opportunities. Take him if you're a Poli Sci major.
Dr. Young is THE BEST history professor. His passion is very evident. Great class and I would take it 100 times if I could. Hard grade for me, but I was taught so much in one semester I can't be mad at him.
Lectures from start to end. Even on test days. Besides this, he is a good teacher and quite a character. Tests aren't bad with 2 1-2 page essays but they are timed - 50 mins no matter how long the class is. He gives tons of extra-credit opportunities and if you don't get A or a B, you're doing something wrong. Take notes and listen and you'll be ok
DO not take his class if you cannot learn by lecture. He is big on essays with his tests. He is also a tough grader.
Great Professor overall. Long lectures but they were very informative. Attendance in class is mandatory because if you miss a lecture you will miss a lot of what he says in class. Tests are not that difficult if you take good notes. Strict grading when it comes to writing essays on the tests. Tons of extra credit opportunities in the class
Dr. Young is by far my favorite professor! I wish I could take more of his classes! He gives awesome extra credit! For example, he invited us to go to the state capital and stay for however long we wanted to and gave us 10 points extra credit on a TEST! His only downside is that he talks a lot but he is very interesting to listen to.
LOVED Dr. Young. He gave LOTS of extra credit opportunities. If you don't get an A or B, you're just being lazy. There are only 4 grades so it's important to try and not slack off. Don't miss any classes. Take good notes and you'll be fine. He tells you everything you need for the tests if you just listen. Interesting and kind man. Would take again
Dr. Young's class was amazing. I took him over the 2nd short summer session. Your grade is made up of 3 tests. He ONLY lectures so if you get tired of writing bring a laptop. During lecture he will tell you what is pertinent to the test and will give you your essay questions word for word. Very interesting and fun class. Tons of extra cred offered.
What an amazing professor. Excellent and profound lectures, good with extra credit opportunities, and one of the nicest men I've ever met. Lectures can get slightly lengthy at times, but always interesting. 3 tests, no homework, no quizzes, and no attendance grade (yet highly recommended that you attend). Detailed essays on tests. Great class!
his lectures are long but awesome. Test are easy. TAKE NOTES. he lectures right off the study guide for the whole semester and if you follow along and take notes its a easy A. He does have two essays on every test though, but they are easy to answer if you study.
A brilliant man and enormously passionate about teaching and truly wants to help his students. He also expects a lot from them so its no a class to loaf around in. Particularly in his higher level classes he is a very tough grader but is very clear about his expectations and is always happy to help an student in anyway that he can. A true teacher.
He gives three tests, the last test is the final. All of his tests have the exact same format with two 25 pt essay questions which are given to you during his lecture! you have to actually try to make a bad grade because he offers A LOT of EXTRA CREDIT opportunities!
His lectures are longgg, and will run a class on average 5 min late. He's funny tough and clear cut, and offers extra credit 3. Funny guy, will take his class again. Although he's super flexible about attendance, i would attend because his tests are so simple if you do Beware: GRAMMAR MATTERS!!! on all essays, use proper grammar because he cares
Dr. Young is both funny and intelligent. Long class but not dreadful. Crystal clear on what will be on the exam (3). He gives you all the information that you need to pass the class. Tough grader on spelling and grammar though. Need more professors like him!
Dr. Young is an amazing professor. He gives great feedback. One paper and three tests. As long as you pay attention in class, it's an easy A.
Dr. Young is a passionate and well spoken lecture based professor. If you don't like lecture based classes I would still recommend that you give him a try. His lectures are very informative and the furthest thing from boring in my opinion. Especially if you have any interest in the subject at all. He also offers plenty of extra credit opportunities
Dr. Young is very passionate about what he does. He loves to tell stories and genuinely makes the subject interesting. He always is willing to offer extra help, and offers many extra credit chances. He is tough on grammar and is very lecture heavy (no powerpoint). His class could be hard if you don't pay attention, but grades reflect effort.
3 test and a paper. Wants you to get to point-do not try to impress with big words/metaphors-state facts. He is a genius and if you have questions about test he will tell you exactly what he would accept as an answer. Not impossible class but not kindergarden show up and get an A. Makes you want to be a better student. Highly recommend
Dr. Young is very intelligent and passionate about his job. He lectures over at least 5 mins every class. Don't miss class because he gives a lot of material. He makes himself very accessible to his students, answers emails quickly, and wants his students to succeed. Main thing on his tests are the 2 essays. Do well on those, especially grammar.
Dr. Young is great! He really tries to keep the class upbeat and make it more interesting. His "friday follies" are cheesy but puts the class in a good mood. He gives a LOT of extra credit so there is no excuse for a grade other than an A or a B. You must listen in class and take notes because he tells you what the essays are and important parts.
Loves teaching. Brings all kind of weird stuff to class. Like Cuban cigars or his FBI files. Very energetic. You always know when he is teaching because you can hear him shouting from classrooms nearby. Real great guy all around. Worth taking just for the experience.
I feel as though my head is spinning every time I'm in his class! Too much for just a core class
Dr. Young is very eccentric, but that is just one of many things that make his class a treat. Classes are by no means an easy A (he grades essays very hard). but his enthusiasm for the material percolates to his classes. Brings in all sorts of cool things to aid in his lectures and he is always available in his office. Take him, you won't regret it
Only grades you have are 3 tests, take good notes, write practice essays and meet with him: will only improve your grade, offers extra credit for attending campus events
Professor is caring and funny. His lectures are moderate, he sometimes get off track or rambles on but if you ask, he will clarify. He provides a study guide and pretty much tells us what is on the test. Just take good notes and study. He only had 3 exams for Spring 2017 semester but had plenty of extra credit opportunities.
Lectures are very interesting. He provides a simple study guide at the beginning of the semester. If you come to class and take good notes then you will have all the information you need for his test. He only had three test for the spring 2017 semester but he offers a ton of extra credit! He's a very caring professor!
Dr. Young is a fun, quirky little guy. He is a strictly lecture class, no PPT or anything. So write lots of notes. Gives lots of extra credit on the tests and otherwise too. Test extra credit is the only time you need the book. Show up to class and pay attention and it's a pretty easy class (I think I ended with over a 100 average).
Definitely take Young if you want an easy class. He is very lecture heavy but gives a study guide with everything that will be covered on each test. As long as you take good notes during lecture and following the study guide, you will get an A. Young gives you the essay questions that are on the test and the answers to them. Highly recommend
Dr. Young is such a great professor. He gives 3 tests and a paper. He provides everything you will need on the tests if you show up and take notes because he is strictly oral lecture. He tells you all the essays you will have to write and will practice grade them for you before the test to see how you would have done.
Best teacher!! I loved him! You have to take own notes they aren't posted online at all thats the only bad part. He is caring and funny! Test are 50/50 you have half the test multiple choices and true and false and fill and the blank and then the other half is you have to write two essays. But you will do great in the class if you do the work!
Hands down the BEST professor in my college career. He is very funny and patient and extremely passionate. He also does a very good job staying middle of the road in his American government class, making sure to not side one way or the other but to give us very unbiased information to make our decisions. Key to getting an A is take good notes.
Its a straight forward government course. He gives a study guide and you go down the study guide to prepare for a test. He gets off topic a lot and often is repetitive when lecturing over a simple topic. He also does these weird Friday things that arent related to class such as going over STDs. Hello its government? He gives lots of extra credit
Most greatest, sweetest, funniest professor out there 100% recommend. 4 test but exactly like study guide.
Dr. Young is a lecture-heavy professor. He grades essays very strictly, but he allows students to bring practice essays to him and he will show you what you would make if the essay were on a test. In my class, tests were made up of 2 essays worth 25 points each and 25 questions worth two points. Most tests have up to 25 possible bonus points each.
TANGENTS make notes confusing, talks2fast,tough grammar gradr, sends SEVERAL HEAVY books each class period, weird pronounciations to make himself sound smarter, weird dancing, and I didnt learn anything worth remembering. But I could have looked passed ALL of these annoying things if he just didn't go over class time 8min EVERY class(not exaggerating).
Three essay tests and a ten--page research paper. Grades on grammar. Lectures are interesting and often run a few minutes over class time. Will grade practice essays before tests. Book only used for extra credit.
Easily one of the best professors i've ever had. He is very understanding if you genuinely have a problem with the notes or outside of class. No cumulitive final exam which is great, but the tests have essays so make sure your writing skills are good enough to have minimal gramatical errors. If you do, he offers practice essay help. Goofy guy
Prof. Young is a very fun, and hilarious professor! Would recommend taking his class. He only gave 3 essay tests. He is also very critical of both sides of the political spectrum so he isn't biased! Would take him again.
Mr. Young is an amazing Professor! Wish I could take him again! He is very passionate about teaching and he makes his lectures easily understandable. He gives three tests which are fairly easy as long as you take notes. He made me want to come to class. Great guy, and a great professor. Hope I have more like him in the future! :)
