Her exams are word-for-word what her study guides consist of. If you do the study guide you are guaranteed an A. Her midterm and final was done in groups and open notes/book. The class is easy and worth taking.

Ms. D really cares about her students. IDK why I see nothing it's specific, on first day she goes through the sillabus and explains how the class will go. Extra credit and group assignment was explained also on day one, on blackboard she will post everything and give the study guides, power points and yes you have to read the book it's up to you.

I really enjoyed Professor Dawson. she was fair and didn't try to make her class too hard because she knew we had other classes and worked outside of school. I appreciated her for this, but we did learn about Texas Government. She was a fair grader. Take her classes!!!

Professor Dawson was amazing! Her class is super easy but fun. Her group projects are fun and I hate group projects with a passion. She will tell you exactly what is on her test and even where to find the answers. You just have to study. She is very compassionate but also doesn't put up with crap. The class is easy but you learn what you need to.

An amazing person that goes above and beyond for her students. She does give group projects, but they are very interactive. There is no way to fall behind in the class because she allows the opportunity to take advantage of class time to work with groups. it was a very rewarding being a part of this learning experience, and meeting others in class

This class was crazy amazing. There was a great group project and oportunity to be engaged in as maock trial, which personally I think was very handsome on. I live it very much. You are expected to read but it won't hurt you if you don't . It is a very easy and fun class and the professor is very creative with test and quizzes.

Dr. Dawson is such a fun professor. Her lectures are really fun and her exams vary from the usual paper exams. Shes also very forgiving and understanding of personal matters with class. Make sure you read your books because it will help you with the tests, but as long as you study you will do good.

Professor Dawsons class was so easy. Attendance is important for projects and exams, but other than that all of the PowerPoints are on blackboard. I couldnt afford the textbook, but I still managed to get an A in the class using the PowerPoints and google.

Doesnt only teach the test. We get the required material but she also engages class in real life issues and encourages critical thinking. Group projects are challenging but fun at the same time. Not the typical lecture class. I would definitely recommend to others who want more than the typical boring lecture class.

This is the best professor Ive ever had! She holds discussions in the class that relates the material to current events. If you want to pass, show up, participate in discussions, and participate in the group activities. If you need help with anything, shes always there.

I overall enjoyed the class. Dr. Dawson is very big on class discussion, and many assignments are group projects. She emphasizes trying to relate the material to the real world. Some negatives for me were I felt even though it was a Texas government class, the relation to current events were on more federal levels.

This was an easy and fun class. Lectures were mostly videos and she gives a study guide that's exactly what's on the test. The final was a little mini Jeopardy since I took her for a summer course.

Amazing teacher! I wish I had the opportunity to take another class taught by her. Class was pretty easy and not a lot of homework which was great because my other classes has tons of homework. She stays on top on all work and communicates very well.

She takes the time to clearly explain each topic for you and breaks it down a bit further if you still have a hard time understanding. She is very patient and does what she can to make sure you pass, she even gives you study guides to let you know what is on the test so you are not stressing trying to figure out what to study.

Due to the Covid-19 pandmeic this course had to be taken online. I was super nervous to take online classes, and she made the transition incredibly stress free! I am so thankful that she was as understanding, and resourceful as she was!

Due to COVID-19, I was unable to take the course in person. Even with this new online format, she is an amazing professor. I had no problems whatsoever. She often asked for student's opinions on things which I appreciated because other professors tend not to care. She is also very understanding and caring. I would definitely recommend taking her!

She is one of the best professors I have had so far in my Central Texas College experience for many reasons. One reason is that she was clear with her teacher, two she gives opportunities to improve your grade, and three if you pay attention and do the work you should be good. Great teaching techniques

Loved to be interactive with students. Specifically when we did the simulation of what a court procedure would look like.

Had class meetings on Monday and recorded lecture videos on Wednesday. I liked the study guide's she made, they were very useful. Would select this professor again if I see the name available.

She really allowed us to ask questions and the group project was fun. She also put out the study guides early for us and 3 of our tests were legit on Kahoot. Solid class.

I loved this class. She gives you so many opportunities. There is no way you can not pass her class without an A or B. I would recommend her 100%.

Group project nearer to the middle/end of the course that you absolutely need to participate in to pass the project. It was an easy project if you stay on top of the work, easy quizzes as long as you use the textbook and study guides. The best thing I did with the textbook is that I used the glossary and index, much easier to find what you need.

Honestly, I was not going to pass this class. I was unmotivated, stressed, and tired. She helped me get through the class even though she didnt have to and I am forever grateful for that.

Most of her lectures are mandatory, as at least for me, she gave a group assignment to work on during the beginning of the course during class. As long as you are doing the study guides and participating a good amount in the group projects, you'll ace this class with no sweat.

had Professor Dawson for Texas Government online due to the pandemic. class was very fun despite being online. if you do not read your chapter materials you will be confused during lecture. there are few grades in this class but there are exams, quizzes and group projects.

She is a awesome teacher that no one will regret taking.I wish I could take her for another course .she records her lectures,little assignment and doesn't grade hard.I work two jobs and also was enrolled in 5 other classes and honesty if I wasn't in her class I probably would've failed someone else course.
