I like Dr. Angeles's class. She tried to make things interesting, but didn't always succeed. Her tests aren't too hard and she usually gives a "study guide" which is really where she pulled the test questions from.
She's very confusing and, at the end of the class, you don't really know what she talked about for 50 minutes. Don't take her if you're interested in the subject and want to learn something.
Expects a lot from her students. Passionate about her work. Good at drawing info from students. Choose wonderful text book. Actually teaches rather than lectures. Give a wrong answer & she'll let you know. Needs to offer more positive reinforcement.

I took her for Dynamics of Religion as a freshman. She's very boring and comes of as very pretensious.
She just goes on and on and on and on and on and on..... and on and on and on. By the end of the class you try to thin kabout what she just go done talking about. Her readings are plentiful and she give surprise quizes. Be Prepared
You can barely understand what she says. And you dont learn a thing in her class. It is unclear what she is talking about during class, and what the class is about. I reccommend that if you want to learn something do not take her classes.
Dr. Angeles is a very sweet woman. She knows her subject and is very receptive to student's opinions and ideas. Anyone can do well in her class if they keep up with the readings and lectures.
Dr. Angeles knows all about religion. Her classes are very hard though. Dont ever take her, unless u a religion major.

a 3 and 10 page paper plus all exams are essays, matching, fill in a blank map of the middle east plus pop quizes! Forget about it, unless you like a ton of work for a class thats required and should be a breeze.
Do not take her if you are not religion major. Never ever.
If you understand her lectures and do EXCELLENT in her tests and understand her handwriting u deserve a friggin medal...she has to be one of the worst teachers ever
vERY HARD GIVES A MILLION POP QUIZZES BUT IF YOU DO THE READINGS EVERY NIGHT YOU'LL BE OK. i GOT A 95 ON A TEST BUT i HAD TO DROP HER CLASS B/C OF THE QUIZZES
Dr. Angeles is a great prof. she is a good amount of work, but it isn't difficult. she is always willing to help and just wants you to read and participate in class. if your lazy, don't take her...but if you want to take something interesting, take her class
Anyone that thinks she is a good teacher is crazy, her class was horrible, anything she said went in one ear and out the other... DONT TAKE HER... U WILL REGRET IT!!
She is the worst teacher I ever had. She is so scattered and she can't focus on one thing. Her grading policy is just as confusing as she is. She gives out bad grades like their candy and doesn't bother explaining anything including her grading criteria. She is awful.
good ol' dr. angeles.. good ol. def. wouldnt take the class again, its def designed for rel majors. shes sweet, but can barely understand her. a lot of reading in a short amount of time, and ull have a "lil exercize" to do like the next day.
you are all obviously a bunch of slackers. she's not bad at all, and besides, she is always willing to help. she does care about the students that care enough to come to class.
If you can fake a good essay, you'll be fine. I probably read a total of 10 pages of our religion book, and I did well in the class. Don't expect her to help you with questions, she'll probably just confuse you. Her grading policy is strict and strange, but overall she's not too bad. Easy class.
First off, don't leave your dorm without a translator. You'll find out soon enough what I mean. I have to admit that she is a pretty easy grader. I NEVER bought the book... The book is what you MUST have in order to learn... or fake the essays like me.
This prof is the biggest ****. Don't ever take her class. It's a pure waste of money and you'll never understand what she says. Her exams are very hard and if she does not like you she will give u a hard time. She needs to be fired!

Awful, she also pronounced focus, ****us, which made me laugh....She is trash, Do not take her.
She talks too fast and when asked to explain i get a confused answer. her test are the worst and her avaliability after classes is not there.
Her classes aren't just aimed for Rel majors. Don't be lazy, just listen to her lectures -- You can understand her! There were a lot of ppl in my class that were frustrated...try doing the work, read the book...even part of it! She gives you outlines for the tests. You don't need to read just make a study sheet, know the answers. Seems like everyone is picking on her but all you have to do is a little work to get an A. She has an accent but you can still understand her clearly.

I must agree with the other posts about her. Firstly, this class is a giant waste of money because every time you ask her a question you get an answer that does not even correlate with the question. I would recommend you not to take her if you want a good grade. Definitely for religion majors and a horrible teacher.

She is a bad professor. She is not too organized, and it is hard to understand what comes out of her mouth. Warning for everyone, try not to take her class!!
I think she's great. She's hard if you don't do the work. I've learn alot in her class. By the way, get the facts right - she is from the Phillipines, thus she is filipino, not Chinese; so no "ching-list" learn.

If you like your eyeballs and do want to inadvertantly fork them out of your skull because of the boredom, avoid her. Sorry, I try to be fair, and she was a nice woman. But that subject plus her teaching style... whoa.
Extremely knowledgeable about religion. Tests are essay and you have to read the book along with her notes to understand everything, but I'd take her class again. Also, she's not hard to understand at all in my opinion, so don't let that throw you off.
She want everybody to religion professor. Her test are too hard, Dumb quizzes, boring ass book thst she force to read. The book is like read beowolf in high school. If you are religion major take her she know her stuff but, i do mean but a big one; RUN RUN
If you want someone who speaks broken English and answers questions completely unrelated to the one you asked, Dr. A's the one for you. If you want your eardrums to explode from incessant yapping about how "THERE IS NO GOD IN BUDDHISM!", take her class. If the words ITCHETARA, TWO-OHOH-ATE, or FUCHUS mean anything to you, HAVE AT IT.
WOW! IT IS BY FAR THE LONGEST HOUR AND 15 MINUTES OF MY LIFE! The textbook sucks and she makes you read it, then she'll go around the room asking us questions and she NEVER likes the answers you give her... that is after you repeat it 50 times because she doesn't ENGLISH! Oh and if you get caught texting she'll reprimand you like a child. RETIRE!!!
Thought this would be an interesting class, but I dread going to her class now. Her requirements on assignments are unclear. I turned in a paper late because she never said when it was due, in class or in the syllabus. Got my grade marked down because I missed more than three times, all which were absolutely unavoidable!
stay away, stay far far away..by far the worst teacher i have ever had in my entire life! you cant understand a word she says & answers questions completely unrelated to what you ask. if you dont want to put a bullet to your head, i would advise you not to take her!
hard but if you study everything from the review sheet, the exam will not be hard and you just have to pick 3/5 or 5/8 questions to answer n therewill b 2 or 3 essay question in every exam,you just have to choose one n write.there wil b @least one same question from the previous exam. but hav to do a long paper 12 pages.shes helpful if u go to see
Dr. A is by no means a hard teacher.When she tells you to read, she means it.. but its not hard. Shes a little difficult to understand sometimes but repeats everything if you ask her too. Her tests are easy and she gives you a study guide with everything thats going to be on the exam. I would def take her again.

I did not like her at all she was probably one of the worst teachers I have had all through my learning years.She barely speaks english & if she asks you a question & you dont answer it with enough "support" she thinks its totally wrong. Her readings & assignments make no sense & I completly dread going to this class
Dr. Angeles is literally the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Attendance is mandatory, however, not one thing she "teaches" in the class is on the Exams she makes you take. Her papers are completely pointless. She WILL NOT help you if you have a probelm. She is a disgrace to the $42k a year I and my family spend to go to La Salle.
The ppl that say she is hard and cruel are complete idiots. Saying that she can't speak English is a total crock. Shame on you. Dr. A is great and helpful. She TELLS you what is on the tests and quizes. Papers are easy. Attendance I would say is needed but you wont fail if you miss one or two classes. I would take her again. I learned alot.
Wow,I'm laughing at how nasty some of these people are. Dr. V is so nice. She helped me out alot. Her test and quizes are crystal plus she gives you an outline. You would use the book alot and the class was interesting. People who say she is horrible must be idiotic and disrepectful.

Dr. Angeles is the best. I had the pleasure of taking her several semesters ago and neglected to give her a rating. If you did not do well in her class that is on you. She gives you every opportunity to shine either in class or on your reflection papers. You are not being fair!
Nice lady but i couldnt stand her class. Thick accent. Gets mad when no1 participates but when you do answer she is all over you if it's not right. I honestly believe that she doesnt know her class is required to take by the school. I think she thinks that people want to take this class., because they are interested.
Dr. Angeles was a great teacher! she gives handouts on EVERYTHING that will be on the tests and exams! she is very easy just pay attention.
Accent is funny "etchettera" class is super boring and reading sucks but she gives you a checklist with EVERYTHING for the test so study hard on that and you will be fine
Definitely not the best, but I've had worse. Likes to give pop quizzes on lectures just given to prove that you were listening to her. Tests are easy, just study the test map. Grades unnecessarily hard in my opinion for an entry level course (and I'm saying that as a student in the nursing program). Fine if you don't care about getting a B or C.

Dr. Angeles was a great teacher. Although her class is boring, and the hour and fifteen minutes she teaches goes by extremely slowly, she provides study guides that include every question that will be asked on the test, and if you study and take notes, it is easy to get an A in the class.
Great professor! She does a good job explaining material. Must read the text she gives. Everything she talks about in class is on the test . Her tests are short answer, essay, and some true or false. Which is good for those who know how to explain a topic. Easy to pass the class if you show up and pay attention because she will call on you.
Worst class ever. The textbook is required to read and you need to read it in order to learn. She does not go over readings and her lectures are based off of her PowerPoints, which do not consis of much information. Her test are hard and she puts information on them that she has not gone over in class. Class is boring and not motivational.
Class can be a bit boring because she goes off of power points. Must read prior to class sessions because she calls on everyone randomly. Tests are not hard, she gives a study guide and as long as you review it a few times you are fine. Not hard to get an A but must pay attention or study at least.

You have to read the assigned textbooks to pass the class. Tests were very hard, but if you read the textbooks it wasn't too bad. She's very nice, but a hard grader.
Hours worth of reading assigned. Also, a group project worth 25% of your grade. If you don't work well in groups or struggle with reading assignments, don't take.
Take my word for it, Angeles is a very easy teacher, as long as you look at the study guide that she gives you and go back in the book to look for the answers for them you will do well. Those who say that she's difficult clearly don't put the effort in.
Terrible class! I advised many to not take this class. Angeles is not a bad teacher but is very boring and repetitive. This makes you not want to attend class but has a strict attendance policy. Hard grader & takes forever to update grades. Advice is to look at the rating of a professor before enrolling! Skip Angeles will never take her class over!

She is a really nice lady. She has a group project that is all you really focus on all semester. yes you can only miss 2 classes but it is really not that bad if you have a friend with you. Power points only got me an B with minimum work. Dont buy book unless u feel like reading obv things
Have to do work to get a good grade. You get out of the class what you put in to it. I am not a religion class fan but since we have to take them, if you put the work in you will get a good grade.
She is a nice person. She is helpful, so when students have questions they should ask her. If you put effort then you will be fine in class. It's college so you have to some time with the work. If students do not take it seriously that is up to them. She is a very smart individual. She smiles a lot. It is a good thing.
So going into the course I had positive feedback from a friend of mine who said she was not difficult and was an easy going teacher. I had a terrible experience with her because she was arbitrary with grading and sometimes completing ignored students who had questions. On papers she does not give explanations as why students got a a certain.
Dr. Angeles is a good professor who knows her stuff. Although, I found the subject matter (religion) uninteresting, the class was engaging as she always encouraged us to give our opinions on different topics. I would take her again, but be warned, Angeles isn't a pushover. Do your work. Always be prepared for pop quizzes. And write good papers.
If you can, don't take this class. She is the worst grader I've ever had. When I went to speak to her about why my grade was the way it was for one of my papers, she couldn't give me a concrete, reasonable explanation. One minor mistake will bring you from a 100 to 65. She's horrible at grading. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!
IS absolutely insane. goodluck with this class, when you get bad grades on papers she refuses to explain how it is wrong and simply says, "uhhhh, okay". Not only can she not be understood but she will ruin your grades and simply tell you that, "I have faith in you". Avoid her!!!
She had accent, which made it a bit challenging to understand her. She did not care to give any feedbacks on assignments. Her study guides help but you must work hard to earn a good grade.
Terrible teacher. Worst I've ever had honestly. She literally explains nothing in class, but when someone asks about a slide she says that you can look at them online. There is no substance to her slides. Just headings and subject titles. She also takes off points for misspelled words. I must have forgot I'm a taking grade school English class.
Very hard class. Would not take her again. She was a tough grader and not clear at all. She would ask students to respond in class, but not acknowledge that you talked. PowerPoints were literally just subject titles. It was your responsibility to go back and look up everything needed to learn anything. Test outline was accurate but difficult.

I have taken religion classes my entire life and this is by far the WORST one. The book she gives us for homework is not to read by first time religion learners and usually has no correlation to what she talks about in class. She doesnt stay consistent when teaching about different religions, shell talk about a religion for 5 mins and move on.
This professor is awful and so is the class. Such a boring class I never understand what we're even talking about! She jumps from one religion and topic to another in a matter of minutes. Textbook reading are hardly discussed in class. Very hard grader. Horrible PowerPoints! I feel like i need to teach myself literally everything before a test.

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS! I REPEAT DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!!! She gives out the hardest exams & the study guides are difficult to understand. Shes a very tough grader, so if you're up for a challenge take her, but I won't recommend it.
She is way overhated. Her class is not that hard if you put effort into it. I got an 'A' in almost every essay and test and I didn't even read. Pay attention in class and know the key vocab words in the textbook and you should be fine. Her class is boring, and she is occasionally irritating, but she isn't that bad compared to some other professors.
She is a literal god among teachers. A lot of students are jealous of her god-like presence, which is why she has a low score on here. Her lectures are MLG and she loves her students. She raises the bar when it comes to professors. If you take her class, you will never be the same. I still am shook from how good her powerpoints are. Fantastic prof.
The most Boring Class you could take. Shes all over the place and moves from topic to topic. You never even know what Topic your currently learning when she lectures. Sucks to have to take this class because its a Religious School. Avoid if possible
Dr. Angeles is wonderful. Her class is far from hard, it does require some reading, but shes pretty straightforward. She encourages class discussion, offers extra credit and drops your lowest quiz grade. There is a quiz approx every 2-3 weeks, midterm, final, group project and 2-3 major papers. & She offers study guides that are clear
This teacher is very understanding of her students, and she was real informative and you can tell she enjoys teaching. I would recommend taking Dr. Angeles, she is the best!
