Very hard and makes no since because he invented his own math that only he can understand. Get out of that class and get a new professor. Or be prepared to have a confusing class that you have to teach to yourself.
He knows a lot about math, but the subject material is confusing. ALso he grades like it is the SAT test. In this class you either do well or really bad. If you go to him for help, he will definitely help you figure it out.

The only reason I learned anything is b/c one of my friends tutored me...I ended up just not going to class b/c I didn't learn anything and I wrote bad poetry to pass the time! He gives a killer curve but it's not worth it!
Worst professor at SFA. He doesn't teach the material. He only writes it down for u to copy then figure it out on ur own. Do not take this guy unless u like torturing yourself.
Do not what ever you do, do not take this teacher. He is the hardest teacher on campus and you have to teach all the proofs by yourself because it is so hard that even people in the arcc can not even help you if you have this man.

Oh my gosh, this class is the hardest one I have ever taken. To get a better grade I suggest a community college, cause with this teacher and course there is no way to pass.
My lord this guy is a stoner. If you like imaginary math take this guy. He is hard, and cant explain crap. Basically you have to study all the notes on your own because he cannot help you.

He is a very hard teacher. Do not take him if you want to pass stats. He is also not a good teacher at all. He talks to the board the entire time and doesn't stop until it is time to go. DO NOT take him. This is a warning!!!!
Do not take this professor unless you enjoy staring at the board for the whole class wondering what is going on. His tests are so random and don't cover what we did in class. With his system of grading, a wrong question counts more than a right question!
Statistics is hard enough without Dr.Cunningham. He's the ONLY stat professor w/o an SI. Class lectures are unclear and tests seem to be unrelated to book & lecture materials.
Never take this man. He has multiple choice exams in math, but he takes way points for wrong answers. That means that you can make a -12 on an exam. Never take this man!
He is hard, but pretty much all the math teachers at SFA are. The walk in table in the library helps alot! He isnt as bad as everyone says.

All he does in class is go over a few deffinition and then he works on one problem in class. If I were you I would spend the money to drive to Angelina. Also you will learn more from going to SI or the Help Desk in the library then you will in class

I suggest you pick another teacher. read on your own don't expect to come to class and understand because 90% of the class time you are wondering what the hell he is talking about. As for Clarity this prof. gets an F squared --ACE
Do not take him!!!! He is the worst professor here because he does not teach; instead, you spend the entire time looking at the board and wondering what in the world his he talking about. Our class started out with 30 and we ended up with 10 so stay away!
I had to drop because he was hard to see where he was going. It seems like he never uses the book and it's like he makes up his own curriculum. "If p represents going to a movie, and q represents going to dinner...WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH MATH? STUPID!!!!!
He is very difficult to follow; its like he's trying to reteach the way you were brought up learning math, only without a purpose. It doesn't get better after the first couple weeks so find someone better.
HE is the WORST teacher I have. He makes no sense at all! I just want to know, why do we need to know why 2+2=4? He is trying to change the way we have learned math, and all he talks about are p's and q's. My knowledgable advice is to not take him if you want to maintain a good GPA.

This was the worst math class I have ever taken.He lost me on the first day of class.Don't take him for anything. He is very confusing and he talks to you like we should already understand what he is talking about.

He expects you to understand the material but his grades are based on if you make 55 on everything you get a B if you make above you get an A which is what I made he is not that bad!!!! These other people don't know what they are talking about. Take him during SUMMER AND YOU WILL MAKE AN A OR B!!!!
I couldnt understand a word he said half of the time. I reccomend sitting in the front of the class. dont worry if the front row is taken the seats will open up after a week or two once everybody drops the class, you can have a whole row to yourself.

Unless you're a wiz at math don't take him. He doesn't know how to teach and just kinda works examples expecting you to know what's going on. There's no SI for him because no one understands him enough to lead it.
I enjoyed the class. Learned a lot about statistics. His teaching method forces you to think outside the box. I would take him for another math class without hesitation, beleive me there are numerous "Dr's" that are much less knowlegable about math and how to teach than Dr. Cunningham.
I HATED HIM and I dropped the class as soon as possible. Do not take him or you will regret it every day for the rest of your life!

Take the class during the summer so you don't have as much to do... It's definitely EASIER during the summer! I got a B, and didn't take the FINAL

Omigoodness!! It's all true! He's the hardest teacher for stats even though he grades the easiest. He's into the material, but very very confusing. He started doing a problem from the day before straight out of the book, talked for 30 minutes, and goes, "and that's my little advertisement for calculus." OMIGOODNESS!! Save yourself!
I was so lost in this class that I didn't even know what questions to ask to clarify it.
the absolute worst professor i have ever had. he doesn't not teach you anything. no test reviews, no homework, no extra help at all, & of course no curves. majority of the class failed. will not let you use a graphing calculator, how are can someone divide the square root of variance without a graphing calculator. do not take this professor!!!!!!!!
oh my god...I was completely lost. I did ok at first, but then once we got past chapter 2 everything went down the crapper. Nothing he says makes sense. ridiculously confusing. Came in everyday and just started writing on the bored talking to himself. Doesn't teach at all.
More concerned with the THEORY behind the math than the actual BUSINESS APPLICATION of it. LEARN THE THEORY BULL HE JOTS ON THE BOARD; it's on both tests and the final. Doesn't really follow the book, and lecture is uneventful. Do your best to take good notes, they follow the test closely. The final counts 50% and can help pull up a low grade.

Not a bad prof. just go to class take notes but when he says you need to read the chapters before coming to class do it. Went through 6 chapters at least we did so not to bad. Grade system really helps bases grades like you get 60% right you get an A and 50% a B gives quizes alot study material they are just bonus points and will help alot.
He is a very nice man, but isn't an excellent teacher. I had already taken Statistics prior college and I am so thankful! He doesn't know how to explain things and after all, it was an Intro. class. Word to the wise: Read the book, take good notes, go to class, and STUDY!!! Best of luck!
He is extremely hard. All of his tests are focused mainly on one topic and it is very hard to study for. If you want to do well get a tutor from the aarc and do all of the practice problems in the book. Go by and talk to him that may help. If u have the chance to take another teacher DO IT

Terrible terrible terrible professor. I love math and I hated this class.no matter how good you take notes, they won't help. Grades are calculated weird and I didn't like the way his tests were formatted. I dreaded it every day. There's always that one smart guy in the class but nobody else knows what's going on. Ended up with a B somehow.
This instructor was very nice but the material is hard. What he teaches in class really isn't on the exam. Book isn't helpful unless you understand the lecture.
You should never miss class if you decide to miss you will become lost. There is no SI, and he doesn't follow his office hours well. Only 3 test, no homework, chances for extra credit...

I took this class as my first class at the University level...Hes pretty tough, doesnt always explain topics clearly, the material is honestly pretty hard. Do not, I repeat DO NOT miss class or you will be completely lost. He doesnt give out any extra credit there are only two exams and the final.I dont know how I managed a B. If taken, good luck.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!! I honestly don't know how I got an A. If you ask him to explain anything over again because you don't understand, he'll say the exact samething he did before and wonder why you still don't get it. Extremely confusing. Only 2 tests and the final, and the textbook is just as hard to understand as he is.
I have no idea what this guy is doing teaching. No people skills. You're lucky if he answers your questions. Avoids his office during hours. Didn't know there was a tutor available for the class until after the semester (he didn't tell us). Terrible, just terrible.
I wouldn't recommend him. He's not a bad professor but he doesn't believe in outside help and he doesn't give homework so if you don't get in class your only option is to go to his office. Your test is the only way to pass so if your not a good test taker DO NOT take him.
Avoid this professor at all costs. 3 tests. No homework. Teach yourself the content. I was actually looking forward to this class before taking it because i like math, numbers, and situational probability that i could use, but ended up dropping because i couldn't learn from this guy. Old School. Cannot engage students to learn.
Horrible teacher!
Does not explain math problems. One of those teachers that's "too smart to teach." I was an all A's student in advanced math classes through high school, and I failed his College Algebra class. We ended up learning some word problems that had the same concept and formulas as my Physics 1. Rambles on about scientific theories. Awful.
Nice, smart man but horrible teacher.. All he does is show up to class and starts teaching and writing on the board from were he left off the class before. Dr. Cunningham has been my Thesis professor at NCCU. He is an inspiring professor, genuinely interested in the success of his students. He constantly sends out inspirational messages & lets students know that he is ALWAYS there for us and to reach out if we need his assistance. His kind words encourage me to become a better, more diligent student.
