Dr. Hyde is a great teacher! He is very smart and experienced. Human Anatomy is not an easy class though,no matter who teaches it.Lots of memorization and very time consuming.I recommend Hyde,be prepared to put alot in to the class no matter who you take.
Fabulous. The labs are simple, the lectures enchanting. The lab tests are difficult (a lot of memorization) but the lecture tests are a breeze. Take this prof.

YOU MUST study almost every day in order to pass. His tests are 8 chapters at a time and so much information. Lab isn't too bad. He's very nice and fun, but the class is hard if you don't dedicate all your time to it.
Dr. Hyde is great instructor!I loved his class.Lab tests are easy as well as lecture ones. You have to study a lot no matter who you have as a teacher for this class, but Dr. Hyde is very clear, very educated and experienced, although,I wish, he would be more specific on what he wants for the tests. Ta
Great teacher. Really nice guy. Material is pretty straight-forward. Repetition is the key!
He is awesome! Zoology is a hard class, but he is clear as a bell (and wrote the textbook). If I needed another Bio class, it would definately be with him. The most fun I ever had in one class. And a very nice, funny man.
Great instructor. Very educated and experienced. He knows his stuff. Has a great sense of humor to keep you from getting bored. You still have to study a lot and repetition is the key. He's one of the best teachers you could get for this class. I hear he's way better than Andresen.
Great teacher, highly recommended. Bio 160 is not an easy class but Dr. Hyde makes it as easy as he can without babysitting or spoon feeding the material to you.
I am a glad I took Mr. Hyde's as teacher, who is very intelligent and nice man. After each chapter there's a next day, 25 point quis.No exams except the final which is based on quiz questions. It takes time to get the material but u have a list of questions that gonna be on a quis! I think it's a different, pleasant, effective way of teaching!
he is the best teacher i ever had my whole life. he is very smart and can relay the information well. the class is tough, but its more because anatomy is a tough, not him. if u dont pass his class, u will never pass anatomy because there is no better teacher than him, he is very helpful and clear. he tries very hard to make his students understand.
In order to pass You need to study hard. There was a quiz after every single lecture, but he give us the review questions for each of theme. It makes you study for all quizes. It is a good teacher.
Excellent Teacher, Makes class interesting and is very knowledgeable.
Fabulous teacher, He really knows his stuff. he's very calm and relaxed.
THIS CLASS IS FUN
Great teacher, lecture exams are very tough
He's a know it all and quite snippy at students. Horrible lab teacher, he just walks out while he should be in there explaining the info. he just gave us
He knows his stuff, but he is NOT helpful at all.He dosn't explain (says -don't have time!), but he dissmis us 30 min. earlyer. I liked his power point presentation, and chapter review Q's. He is not bad, but definitly not my favorite!
Found him to be quite arrogant and unapproachable. Seemed annoyed at class when he would ask a question aloud and no one could answer like, "Oh come on!" I put off Human Anatomy for one semester because he taught it. Took Andresen's class. Now there's a good teacher, extremely knowledgable yet didn't lord it over us like Hyde did.
An incredible teacher. Probably the best i have ever had. He cares whether you learn and his lectures are just awesome.
I did like him. If you work very hard he will love you. He appreciates students who cares. I will recomend him if you're selfdisciplined. He is great in my opinion.
Awesome teacher....one of the best at HArper!! The best lectures I have ever seen. Very knowledgeable...and gives great lectures..study your notes well and you will get an A!!
LET ME JUST SAY THAT DR. HYDE IS THE BEST TEACHER AT HARPER!! I am not going to lie though it is a very hard class, probably the hardest class I have ever taken in my life but it was worth it. He wrote the textbook, and his presentations are fantastic. He is extremely helpful but you need to show him that you care otherwise he will blow you off.
TOO MUCH INFORMATION AND NOT CLEAR IN TEACHING, HATED THIS CLASS AND DROPPED IT. DID NOT HIS STYLE OF TEACHING
I loved his calss. Just read the book and you will get an A. His lectures are intersting. Lab exams might be a little bit challenging but if you put some effort you will do fine. Take him if you want to learn biology. He is a very smart guy who wrote his zoology book.
Bio160 is hard & demanding class, but Dr.Hyde is a extremely knowledgeable and approachable teacher. He wants his students to suceed, gives extra credit, and appreciates students that work hard. So if you keep up with the syaballus, go to class regularly, and come to class prepared. You will have a positive experience, not to metion a good grade.
One of the best teachers I've had. It is a hard class but if you study you can get an A (if I did it anyone can). He does offer extra credit. If you make an effort to learn he is very helpful but if he knows you're a slacker he won't take much time with you. He loves anatomy and it shows!
he was very nice and helpfull teacher
Hyde is a very smart and knows what he is talking about but sometimes it seems as though he wants you to not do so well. He gives you study guides but its only about 25% of the test so if you memorize the study guide it doesnt really help that much. The lab exams are pretty easy. And you get to disect a shark.
He's a great teahcher. Very relaxed. His powerpoint presentations are interesting and doesnt put anyone on the spot. You can tell he loves what he is teaching. Not a very hard class if you take/study your notes and do the study guides. A good thing is once you finish one test that information is not going to be repeated on a later test.
Great professor. He hates when people show up late by even a minute. Interesting course work. There is a lot of detail oriented information presented in class and on tests.
Wonderful teacher!!! take him you will never regret. you have to study a lot but if you di it pays off. dr. hyde has a great sense of humour and his lectures are very interesting. labs and lab exams are very difficult but if you study hard you will get an A. no matter with who you take this class you have to study. good luck everyone!
Dr. Hyde is great! He loves to teach & is so knowledgable. He likes organization, preparedness & honesty.
Great teacher. His tests and quizzes are exactly what he lectures. If you study the material he lectures about, you will get an A in the class. Overall very great teacher!
Great Professor!!! His lectures are incredible. He loves teaching and keeps everyones attention. Recommend him for any biology or science class! Two Thumbs UP!
He is a wonderful teacher and person in general. The class required a lot of studying, but he was clear about what to study. I do not regret taking his class for one moment, even though it was a little tough.
Take this man for any science class especially human anatomy!
Very passionate teacher. His intelligence can be intimidating and he may not seem very approachable, but over all a really great professor. His powerpoints are really helpful, but you have to go to class if you don't want to fail
To sum it up, any of his students and Harper College in general is lucky to have Dr. Hyde.
Proffessor Hyde is the most amazing teacher i've had in my college career. He is not only helpful but very friendly, and he is very easy to talk to. You have to study hard, but I dont think there is an anatomy class anywere that doesent require a lot of studying. His lectures are amazing and he is very clear about what is on tests.
amazing teacher!! He is one of the best I have ever had. Anatomy is a difficult class, but he is very helpful and easy to talk to when you have questions or problems! I strongly suggest taking him as a professor especially for anatomy!!
I was very lucky that I had him for zoology and human anatomy. He knows what he's talking about, and I learned a lot from both of the classes. He makes the material very interesting, and tests are fair yet hard. Go to the lecture, and pay attention, and study. Then you should be fine.
He is a good teacher, and explains material very well, but his exams are very hard. He tries to trick you during lab exams, and not a very approachable guy. He is extremely nice to you if you are a genious and gets straight A's on his exams, if not good luck! he has mood swings at time!!!not very nice, worse teacher i had!
The other anatomy professors are much tougher than him. His tests can be tricky though. Do all of the quizzes until you get a 10- they're easy points you will need by the end of the semester. Power point lectures keep you interested and labs are not graded; they are for your own benefit. He can be a little moody, but overall approachable.
Took his class a couple of years ago. I didn't realize what a great teacher he was until I took Physiology this past spring. I retained alot of material which helped me get through Bio 161. He was tough but fair. One of the best
Dr. Hyde is by far one of the greatest teachers out there. He teaches in a way that is very easy to pay attention too and learn from. He is very approachable, and easy to talk to. His tests are slightly on the difficult side, but if you read the material and study even a little bit, it's not hard to do well. He is without a doubt a wonderful man.
This is definitely a rough course and I wasn't really helped by most of his examples. His lecture notes are good. Overall this class is just memorization and it sucks - I didn't think he was great, but he wasn't bad either.
Great Teacher, he made this class extermely interesting...his tests were not bad at all you definitley need to study to know the material...plus his labs are really easy
the class itself is veryyyy hard. its a lot of memorizing. the tests are really hard too. but hes an awesome teacher! he makes class so fun and hes funny. the dissections are really cool too, and the dissection quizzes are wayyy easy! take him! hes fun!
I've been attending Harper for a LONG time & Dr. Hyde is one of the best instructors at Harper. Do the work, go to class & TAKE ALL the quizes (easy pts). The subject is hard but he makes it very fun & easy to understand. I could have gotten an A but I slacked a bit. I would take it again just for FUN. Wished he taught BIO 161
I took Dr. Hyde's Biology class over this past summer in a four-week session, and it was great! This class was easy and interesting even to those who do not have interest in science. There is a lot of note taking but if you study them and pay attention in class, it was definetely possible to get a great grade!

This teacher is very hard.Attend all lectures & Labs! Harper dosnt have a good rep for Bio teachers which is sad but if you are looking for someone you can ask questions too this teacher is not it!People feel uncomfortable with him.Sad a class so important isnt taught by teachers that help you understand. Good luck & just study hard!
This is my second time in anatomy. What a difference. Dr. Hyde not only explains things good but he is easy to talk to and always willing to help. Simply the best teacher I have ever had.
I though Dr. Hyde was a great professor. The class was tough, but if you study hard, attend class and do the on-line quiz (easy points) you should do good. I would definitely recommend this professor.
Dr. Hyde is a great anatomy professor. He explains things very well and if you go to all the lectures and labs and do the weekly online quiz, you should be fine.
Had Dr. Hyde for Zoology (Bio 140) & took him the succeeding semester for Anatomy. Best teacher @ Harper, hands down. Very clear, helpful (responds to emails quickly, answers ?s after class often)& is a breathing Biology encyclopedia. Is also very understanding & always willing to chat with his students. Fair & straightforward w/ grading. TAKE HIM.
Take him!!!!! He made a hard and intimidating class fun to be in and easy to learn. Answers questions and e-mails. He wants you to succeed and does what he can to help achieve that. Plus he's funny, which is nice.
You will never find a more engaged professor!!!! BY FAR the best and most influential instructor I have ever experienced. I highly recommend this instructor if you plan on pursuing a career in healthcare. His methods are incredible and you will retain more information simply because of his flawless program!!!!
Professor Hyde is, by far, the best professor I've had since coming back to school over two years ago. His fascination with biology, his enthusiasm and his extraordinary manner of getting this information across to his students is remarkable! He sincerely cares about his students, encourages them and helps whenever asked. AWESOME!!
Read the book and study notes and you should do fine. Only thing I disliked were his situational questions which I found difficult to understand.
An excellent professor and so intelligent. He is very organized, structured and clear. His lectures are interesting and educational. I honestly learned a lot from him. Take him if you want to learn. It's a weed out class and almost half dropped. But the ones left at the end, worked our asses off to get our A or B.
Amazing professor! He truly cares about his students, and you can tell that he loves and knows what he is doing. Recommend 100%! He is a very knowledgeable guy!
4 Lecture exm, 3 Lab exm, nd quizzes online -no time limit, with 10 points extra credit. Love and read the book bcoz thats whats going to help you succeed in this class. Lab and quizzes are easy for sure. Im never comfortable asking him anything but who cares jus do wat u need to do to pass. Attendance is mandatory so u know what to study for exams.
I thought he was a really good teacher. Keep in mind, this CLASS is really hard at times. His lectures are key. Do all of the study guides and study your butt off and you will do good! Although he's not the most approachable guy, the material is pretty straight forward, its just a lot of memorization. He's the best bio teacher @ Harper. Take him!
I respect & admire him greatly. He shared invaluable knowledge w/us. He IS approachable- teddy bear under tough exterior. Made us laugh. Read book correlating w/ PP notes to really absorb info. DO ALL ONLINE QUIZZES to get a cushion of points. Study hard, avoid costly mistakes by knowing info inside & out b4 tests. Dr. Hyde is truly the best!
Wonderful professor! He really cares about his students. He loves and knows what he is doing. His sence of humor makes studing such as hard material easer and with interesing aspect.I recommend this teacher.I miss him...
He is hands down the best Anatomy teacher in Harper College. He gives online quizzes that you have one week to do and the questions are straight from the book. Does not give tests based on the book but instead based on his lecture. Funny guy and would do anything for you to learn the parts and lectures than memorizing them.
Dr..Hyde is a wonderful professor. He is funny and willing to talk to students to help them achieve their goals. Of course the class covers a lot of material, which is what makes it so hard. Study hard and you will succeed. Don't forget the online quizzes, they will help boost your grade.
This class covers a lot of material, but is not hard. It is very possible to get an "A" if you do all online quizzes, take notes in class, and study maybe once/twice a week. The exams are straight from his lecture and he usually hints at what the extra credit will be. He is helpful and wants you to do well.
Dr. Hyde is one of the most intelligent I have ever had. He truly cares for his students' academic performances and does a thorough and engaging way of explaining the material. A lot of time to study is needed. Repetition is key for lab exams. Know the lecture notes well. Take advantage of every extra credit available, and you'll be fine!
Dr. Hyde is honestly THE BEST professor I had @ Harper. He truly cares about Anatomy and loves teaching it. Class is very interesting. There is ALOT of memorization and self studying. Do all of his online quizzes because it's easy 100 points for the class. I definitely recommend to take him!
This is a very challenging class with ALOT of memorization. Definitely use the book & study! Professor Hyde is straightforward & FANTASTIC! A true Medical School professor. Expectations are clear & not overbearing. Definitely a professor for adults, not high school mentality infantiles or students who are lazy. Gave opportunities for extra credit
Dont have enough good things to say about this class, by far my favorite Ive taken. Obviously its a TON of work... but stay on top of things and stick it through. completing anatomy is such an accomplishment and DEFS doable.TAKE HYDE, he rocks! Read the book and memorize everything! Be prepared to fall in love with the amazing bodies God created us
The BEST! THE-BEST!!! WONDERFUL! LUCKY STUDENTS TO HAVE PROFESSORS LIKE HIM! He has a great spirit of teaching. It is enough for those who want to succeed and those who like challenges!!!Ok?:)
Lecture and lab exams were difficult for me. Unfortunately I had a hard time attending class but I would advise to do so. He is very helpful and wants you to succeed so don't be afraid to ask questions or talk to him after class. I over heard him talking with other faculty that he might be retiring. He is a great professor
Dr. Hyde is a great teacher. He really knows what he's talking about and he's so willing to help students do the best they can. The way he explains the material really helps you understand. Anatomy is a hard class and you have to work hard to get a good grade but he's an incredible teacher and I highly recommend him.
Very challenging class,TONS of material, Tests were difficult. Professor Hyde was very helpful. Extremely nice and understanding teacher, VERY knowledgeable. He understands that life happens. I had a family emergency and had to leave the country, ended up missing a lab exam, he let me retake it. Highly recommended if willing to study HARD.
this semester was different from what other people have told me about anatomy... Hyde did not give out the lab quizzes so there were hardly any extra points to get... It was completely based off of exams only. He doesn't put the grades up on blackboard throughout the whole semester so I had to guess what my grade would be...
I took Dr. Hyde for Anatomy, he is very to the point with his lectures. It is really important you make it to his class. He is not strict with attendance, but it's really important you go. I received an A in the course, but I went to 2 labs a week and recorded the lectures and made flashcards. Overall he is fantastic.
Extremely knowledgeable and willing to share it. I was surprised at how simple he explained the content. Most PhD professors are hard to understand, but he "dumbs it down" for us. Highly recommend his study guides! Tests are lecture-based with extra credit. Labs require A LOT of memorisation and DEFINITELY writing it all out multiple times.
Dr. Hyde is a wonderful teacher. Anyone who has anything bad to say has probably not put in the effort. IT'S ANATOMY! It's supposed to be tough. Dr. Hyde answers all questions, and is very fair in his grading. There is a lot to remember but if you put in the time, you will do fine. Only downside is no homework less grading opportunities.
I had to take anatomy twice because the first time was impossible with another teacher. Professor Hyde is the best professor for this class.I had him the second time around and passed because he gives 3 additional quizzes which really helps boost up your points . Lecture exams are extremely tough, but Lab exams are easier, he helps if you ask
Dr. Hyde makes it obvious from the first day of class, lecture exam questions will be pulled directly from info given in class. You will need to take diligent notes of his power point slides. He is more than willing to slow his lecture pace and always answers questions. Lab success is a product of your willingness to focus and put in the time.
Dr. Hyde is awesome! His lecture tests are pulled straight from the power points and he gives you clues on certain things that he will have on there. Anatomy is not an easy class, so you will have to study a lot. I am glad I took him because in my opinion, he made it easier for me to understand.
Loved this professor! Wished he taught bio161!! Would take him again! Gives 3 quizzes that help your grade a lot! Makes lectures interesting and is funny :). Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you want to pass this class you need to study and go to class! Take Dr. Hyde and you'll enjoy anatomy! He's open to questions. Study notes from lecture!
Professor Hyde is by far the the best professor that I have ever had. He takes his time when it comes to lectures and if you need him to repeat something he is more than happy to do that for you. Any anatomy course you will need to study a ton, but his lectures will help you a lot when you go to labs as well as on tests. Work hard and get the A.
He's honestly a great professor! His tests and quizzes stays true to his lectures. Try not to miss his lectures, especially if you take his summer course! His lectures are long, but he makes them interesting. Overall, his biology 101 class was an easy B for me.
Professor Hyde is AMAZING! He gives 3 quizzes, 3 lecture exams, and 3 lab exams. His lecture exams are HARD but they come straight from his lectures, so attendance is a MUST to pass. He makes anatomy enjoyable and easy to understand, he's helpful and clear. I wish he taught physiology. TAKE HIM, you'll have to work hard but it's worth it!
Dr. Hyde is the best professor I have ever had, there is a lot of material and tons of studying but doing your work will give you an easy A. MULTIPLE choice exams that can get a bit tricky but doable, memory recall on lab exams, pay attention to what he says, he gives really good clues, more than likely you will find that on the test.
You should take Sandy Kreiling for that easy A.
I really liked this class & I don't really like Bio. Hyde knows what he's talking about & was always happy when the class participated or joked back w/him. The summer course is straight up power points and quizzes which I enjoyed because it was straight forward and simple to follow. He's a cool prof & even brought a snake out during his lecture!
