Jabbour is awsome! great prof, hard projects but your portfolio will look amazing afterwards and you learn alot. Highly Recomended
very informative...
well informed
Learned a lot!
His class can be difficult if you don't pay attention, but he is a good prof. You will learn alot from him and he will help you anyway he can.
Jabbour is an extrememly amazing professor. Him and Campbell are my favorite in the program. He really knows what he's talking about. He has a lot of knowledge and will share it with you in class or out. He is extremely helpful. He expects a lot and you will learn and your portfolio will be amazing.
Really outstanding teacher. He has a way of invigorating his students about what he's teaching. He will push you far beyond what you, as a student, ever believed you were able to accomplish. Penn College should be proud to have a teacher as fine as Naim. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be his student. Very tough, but I've never learned more.
Jabbour is a good professor and does care. Do not fall behind or you will fail. He is a hard professor but I learned many amazing things. He respects his students. Make sure you get good people in the group projects.
Awesome teacher, he's funny and gives you a lot of time in class to work on assignments.
Overall very good professor
he is a really good professor and would take him again.
Professor Jabbour definitely cares about each student's success and is always there if you need help. He is very clear, focused, and work-oriented. He is very kind and makes sure that everyone can do their best in and out of the classroom. I 10/10 recommend to people who want to take classes with him to do it!
Naim is a very inspirational , respectful , and a great professor. I would highly recommend him. Very helpful and used very real situations, gave very good points and taught good habits and informed us of very useful things in life.
This professor is very knowledgeable and helpful. He makes you work hard to get a good grade and does not give anyone a free pass. If you use his feedback to improve upon the next project, you will succeed in the class.
He is a well educated, inspiring professor. He is dedicated to make you a better person whether you want to or not. 10/10 would recommend.
Tough grader, participation matters, amazing lectures, and is very respected. Smartest prof. I've had here and deserves more of a voice when it comes to how thinks are run around here. You will learn more in his classes then probably all the others combined and I'm not kidding. You will learn and earn the grade but your better because of it.
Is a great resource in and out of class. Helps you with anything.
Very enthusiastic about Architecture. Gives weekly open-note quizzes for an easy grade. Will tell you to read the textbook, but you can do a quick internet search instead. There are two projects worth 45% of your grade. Just keep up with them and you'll be fine.
Communication is key. He gives great feedback and is very willing to accommodate special circumstances or rework class schedules if needed. He pushes his students very hard but the results are worth it.
It is really cool to be able to see architecture from different areas in the world.
Jabbour will be one of the best professors you will have in architecture. He makes you work until you think you can't anymore, and then some more, but in 1 semester, I feel like my design and presentation capabilities have skyrocketed more than in the past 2 years. He keeps class fun and keeps lectures to a minimum. You won't regret taking him.
I honestly wish I could select more tags to describe Professor NJ. Really a great educator and guy in general. The big thing for this course is making sure you stay on top of attendance as well as the two projects. I know I could do better if I didn't procrastinate as much on the projects, but luckily attendance and quizzes have kept me afloat.
Jabbour is an extremely difficult professor, but it is well worth the struggle. His critics alone are so beneficial to furthering your design ability. The biggest problem with his design class is the amount of work and time. Make sure you are passionate about this field, or you will hate this class and won't succeed with him as a prof.
Great guy but, for having him for the first time is a slight culture shock to your workload. He gives you a lot of work but not enough to make a person fail, some students will definitely have to work harder than others. His class really helped me create an actual work ethic for my classes.
very heavy work load given to students.
Would definitely take any of his classes again. I have learned more in his design class than any other design class I have had. This is also the most difficult design class that I have taken. The amount of work and the quality that is expected is very high, but makes you a better student. He cares more about student growth than giving good grades.
Mr. Jabbour runs makes his classes enjoyable and very informative. His passion for architecture makes learning in his classes a fantastic experience. Hes definitely not the easiest instructor to take but you will learn alot, and he isnt afraid to push you to do your best work. He is also great with getting everyone involved in class.
While he may be seem like a tough grader, it is all for a purpose. He pushes you to do your best work. The projects that you do in the class are really interesting and like no other professors. It may seem like the deadlines and work are ridiculous, but you learn and improve your skills at a much higher level then most of other professors all you.
Its a great class and a great professor. Yes the work is heavy and so is the grading but you will learn a lot of good information from this class and professor. The schedule his gives for each project helps a good amount. He gives great feedback with every check-in. Highly recommend for anyone exploring and architectural degree.
He gives amazing feedback and very respected
He is very descriptive during lectures and is clear and concise when answering questions. He is also very accommodating when submitting projects late and overall just an amazing professor that I look forward to taking more classes with.

I tool Jabbour for FYE, it was so easy to pass just show up and do the assignments. He's a great person as well and very funny!
This professor is AMAZING and I definitely recommend taking him. Very kind and funny and makes course work very clear.
This class, GLB270, is open to all majors and Prof. Jabbour made this class fun and easy for people who aren't in an architecture major. He grades quickly and always gives you feedback. He answers his emails very quickly and is willing to work with you on whatever you need. Just get your assignments done on time and you should be set!
Dont take Mr. Jabbour for granted, as well as being an intelligent respectable professor he is a caring person as well.
very good professor. very nice and helpful
Mr. Jabbour made this course enjoyable to be in. Instead of me dreading sitting through boring lectures, I was excited to hear what wisdom this man would bestow upon our heads.
Very kind, supportive, and caring teacher. You’ll love his classes
100% a great teacher, helped you when needed. Great course/helps you gain knowledge of the trip we are going on!
Had him for the Spain trip class, 10/10 recommend I had 21 credits w his class and it doesn't even feel like it.
For this course we had mandatory meetings and regular emails sent out to us to tell us about the assignments and expected work. It was very clear what he wanted us to complete and if we weren't sure we could email him or go to him during hours that he was in the building and he would inform us.
Great guy I have had the chance to have in multiple classes. He definitely wants the best for every student he has in classes.
Class work is not difficult. Very willing to help out.
He is very understanding and grades very fairly. This class was online but was very clearly set up on PLATO so there was absolutely no confusion on where to find things.
Gave about 1-2 weeks for easy assignments so you had enough time to complete them at the same time learning material from them. Very easy class you literally have to try to fail. Jabbour did a fantastic job with how he planned the assignments.
Jabbour laid out all of the assignments and made them accessible the first day of class. You could work ahead and get all of the assignments done before the due date. He sent weekly reminders to help you stay on track of your course work. If you have any questions just send an email out and you will receive an answer back very soon.
This was a crash course in building performance modeling softwares, a little bit of everything. He’s very engaging and tries to make sure everyone gets it. Wants you to do your best.
Professor Jabbour's Building Performance Modeling class helped me learn a ton of energy modeling software. The class was pretty easy, just do your work and you should not get below a B. He lays out exactly what he wants and expects, if you follow his outline and directions you will be just fine!
This class was so easy. Professor Jabbour gives all of the assignments at the beginning of the semester, so you can work ahead on them. The assignments are also very easy. He is more than willing to help you out if you ask.
Jabbour is a great teacher, who really helps his students and works with them not against them. He has a good sense of humor, but is serious about architecture and sustainability so don't screw around. Overall highly recommend!
He is very knowledgeable and helpful but he can also be hard on grading. Usually the grading is fair though.
Dr.Jabbour is a phenomenal professor and I am truly grateful to have learned from him.. Yes he is a tough grader and does not sugarcoat how he feels about something however that is what makes him so great. He honestly pushes students beyond what they thought possible and we become much better architects because of it.
Take Jabbour if you plan on doing a Global class he makes it such an enjoyable experience and it's a great time.
If you want to become a better designer and get a good understanding of how renewable energy works this professor is the best for the job. He is a tough grader but is fair if you put in the work and do your best.
If you ever have a question on professor Jabbours class do not hesitate to ask as he is more than welcome to answer anything. His projects are very intense but they are worth putting the time and effort into as they make you a better designer.
This class helps you gain a better understanding of energy analysis and how things work. The professor is very reasonable with time and assignments. Professor takes you step by step on introducing new software and teaching these programs. Overall this course is fairly laid back and the workload is very light.
Prof Jabbour absolutely knows his stuff about building performance modeling and sustainability. In this course you will be expected to show up, follow hands-on lectures with various performance modeling tools. Two major projects that show teach you in depth simulations of energy runs on what is most effective for a building in its specific climate.
Overall a really good class. Helped establish the fundamentals of energy modeling and the importance of it in regards to sustainability in architecture. His lectures are very important to attend, otherwise you might get a little lost. Very respectful and considerate of student's already-busy course load, don't ever be afraid to ask for help!
Classes are usually very clear in what is expected of you as a student. Teacher offers adequate help during class and out of class. I would recommend taking class.
Fairly easy course, as long as you pay attention and put in the work you won't have any issues in this class. Does a very good job at teaching the material and makes sure that we all know how to use the software's that we are taught in class.
This professor is extremely helpful and will be there whenever you have a question or problem in class or outside of class.
In this course you will be taught daily lectures along with projects due after ever class. There are 2 larger projects assigned through the semester that you will have to use the information in class to analyze both studio projects. The first larger project description was very general in which the professor assumed that we knew what he wanted.
Professor Jabbour is overall a great teacher. I am not an architecture student and his classes are definitely geared towards that major. Took me a little time to navigate expectations, but overall, the class isn't difficult. Probably one of the easiest classes I took, but still learned a lot of applicable information.
Awesome professor! The criteria for assignments are super clear and easy to follow. As a general rule for pretty much all his classes, just pay attention, seek help when you need it (he's easily reachable!) and listen to directions, and you'll get by fine
He really pushes you to be the best student you can be. Be prepared regardless what class he is teaching that it is a lot of work but what he is teaching is important and useful. The more design studio classes you can take with him the better, your life might suck but in the long run it has definitely made me a better student and design
Very knowledgeable in architecture and design. Extremely overwhelming workload at times, but the assigned work is definitely relevant and will help you evolve your design skills if you manage to get all the work completed. He strongly encourages asking questions, is always available to answer emails, and provides great feedback in person.
Sustainable Rating Systems (BSD450) is a lot of studying in the first half of the semester for prepping for you LEED Green Assoc. exam. Jabbour gives plenty of feedback to help you keep on track and gives suggestions on what to study to shore up your weakpoints. the rest of the semester is a breeze doing continuing education projects
Dr. Jabbour is a tough professor with difficult grading criteria, but he provides extremely useful feedback, and you can tell that his harshness is for the best of his students. He just wants to see them succeed to their fullest potentials. He is always available for help outside of class, and gives great responses.
Dr. Jabbour's online classes are less stringent than his classes in person, but he still makes sure that everyone participates, and that everyone is getting their work done on time. He's always available for help outside of class, and provides very useful feedback.
The class made me feel prepared for the study abroad aspect and the coursework was relevant. Always answers emails and questions in a timely manner
The LEED Exam is the main part of the class and the other projects after that was just groups case studies with other classmates and it was pretty easy but just time comsuming.
Dr. Jabbour is both the most difficult and best teacher I've had. He is tough on his students in order to push them to succeed. He is always available outside of class to help if needed.
This course is designed to help you succeed on the LEED GA exam. If you complete all the assignments and put in the time to study, you will easily pass the exam. Dr. Jabbour is always available if you have questions, and he really does want his students to pass the exam.
He allows us to be creative and think about the processes and the phases of the project to the methods of design.
As a student taking an architecture class but being enrolled in a construction major, I had difficulty with a handful of the assignments. Naim was very helpful and always willing to work with me and guide me through things. He is extremely knowledgeable and presents in depth information in an easy to digest way.
He is very down to earth and shows interest in you as a person. He will work with you if you need extensions or help on assignments.
This professor is a tough grader. He makes you put in the work for a good grade. Which is respectable because it brings out the best in you but he also doesn't always give the best feedback. Sometimes you'll ask him a for a simple explanation and he'll hit you with, "look at the PowerPoints." Overall tough professor that makes you learn a lot.
This professor sets the guidelines and expectations clearly for the class and wants to help you pass the test it is designed to help you study for. Put in the work to study and he will make sure your grade reflects it.
Mr. Jabbour is dedicated to education and teaching his students. He is a true professional and if you are willing to learn, you will learn a lot from him. He truly cares about his students.
Understands that the class is worth 1 credit. Always willing to work with you outside of class.
He is a really good teacher and will do whatever it takes to see you succeed.
Amazing, relatable professor that easily and enjoyably keeps the class engaged and motivated.
I really enjoy the building performance class. If you show up, pay attention to his lectures and demonstrations about the software, you will succeed in the class. The two reports are a little challenging, but he is more than willing to help you. This class has taught me so much, and we aren't even done yet. I anticipate to get an A.
This is an amazing class, and I can't wait to go to Spain. The class has really helped me learn about the history of Spain and I can't wait to go. I would highly recommend this class as it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Jabbour was very helping in showing us interactive activities, such as tours and meetings.
Inspirational, Sensational, Motivational.
Loved his class so much. He always asks us how we are and actually cares about the students he teaches. Can give harsh but very good critics and learned a lot.
Dr. Jabbour is a very good professor in the terms of both teaching the subject matter and having the class participate. He will tell you the issues you may have with your project, and how it can be improved. Note that the assignments in class aren't online quizzes or multiple choice HW, so be prepared to do an assignment every weekend.
One of my easiest lade back professors you can have. Always willing to help and very timley on getting back to you. Lets you hand in late work and constantly has extra credit.
You'll have many projects, but they're all enjoyable. After you finish a project, you'll have to present it. I never liked presenting, but I felt comfortable presenting in this class.
Always willing to help and adapt projects according to feedback of students. Very supportive during the learning process but does push students to submit their best work.
Amazing professor, definitely one of my favorite classes to attend. Yes, the workload can feel heavy but he makes you want to do well on your projects.
Nj is an amazing professor! He cares a lot about all of his students and keeps class exciting! He cares about your future and is their to help you every step of the way, even if its not about school he is someone you know you can always talk too!
Dr. Jabbour is an amazing professor. I have learned so much from him in what feels like a short time. He is a harder professor but it's all for a purpose. He wants to see his students learn and grow as much as we can. He is also very inspiring. Also, do not be afraid to tell him what's going on in your life. He is very understanding.
Easiest class you could take. He tries to make each topic fun and more interesting. He is very laid back on work and will understand and help out on work. Additionally, he is always there if you ever wanted to talk to someone or needed help with anything. Overall, if you have him in your schedule, be prepared for a fun class and chill professor.
This course was definitely a challenge, but for a good reason. I feel that the difficulty of the assignments and the amount of studying you recommended is the reason I passed the LEED GA exam. I studied over 200 hours in the eight weeks that we had. I would highly recommend following the recommended structure of how you do the assignments/studying
Online class was generally easy to handle overall. Weekly readings were rather long but overall class structure was great and ability to manage assignments withing given time frames was also well structured. Final project was actually somewhat entertaining to complete.
Dr. Jabbour is very caring for his students and their education. He helped me work to get my grade up when i was failing a class. Definitely recommend taking a class with him
Hes a jit
He is very helpful and wants you succeed!
Great class and I learned a lot, wish I was able to take more of his classes.
Dr. Jabbour is the best professor we have in our program. For design classes he is unmatched in his constructive feedback and he really cares about what your thoughts and ideas are. His design classes are much harder than I have experienced in the past with other professors, but I feel like I have learned much more because of that difficulty.
He is definitely the best professor in the program. His lectures and grading policies are very clear. He gives timely feedback and great constructive criticism. He's the only design professor that truly encourages creative exploration. Definitely would take again.
Professor Jabbour makes this class super chill and fun. The lectures are engaging, and he's always willing to help. Unstuck ai was a great study tool too. Definitely take this class if you can!
awesome dude
