He's not a bad teacher and an ok person, but I got all A- in his class and for some strange reason ended up with a B. He did not grade me fairly. Also, he's a little bit into himself if you know what I mean.
Great guy, interesting and insightful. Very smart and will explain books and movies with a perspective unknown to most. Take him for all ENG and LIT classes if possible!!!
VERY GOOD PROFESSOR!! HE ALLOWS YOU TO ENJOY THE CLASS, NOT BORING AND FUNNY (EVEN THOUGH HE CAN BE A WISE a**). TAKE HIM AND YOU WILL HAVE NO REGRETS.

Make sure he likes you, and rare but insightful participation in class will help. Does not give out grades lower than B! You tell him when you want the paper due and then extend it even more. Jokes alot, young guy, knows whats goin on! Definetly take him!

Amazing class. For almost every book or story we read, we watched a movie. His tests are all essays and he is an easy grader as long as you read and know what you are talking about. He also reviews and prepares you. Take him!

Ok, first off he's not cute, he has a paint on tan and wears shorts to class. Second of all, he's not helpful at all, and just makes you watch movies. He also graded very unfalrly, and if you're not hot, you're not getting over a B+ :)

I had him 4 years ago. He is not the best professor or the fairest. He did give me a lower grade that I deserve and did not show much emotions in caring. But when it comes to comparing him to other professors, he's an angel. He's easy and smart and he knows his English. No need to say BS about him.

Professor Limsky is not bad at all. Do what you are required to do in his class and you will definitely get the grade you deserve.
I think he's okay with females, but there are other people he doesn't like. Had hard time, but did my best and still got C. He's trying to "prepare" us for the real world.......bs

Possibly gay? No, he's very gay, and writes proudly on his sexuality for MetroSource (a gay rag). Limsky's awesome, and he is not an obnoxious teacher. I am now a PhD student in English, and I remember his class fondly. Recommended!

he's a very awesome teacher! worth taking and very enlightening! really makes you think and express yourself. i enjoyed his class so much that i wish he taught more english classes.
If you dont like Movies and Articles than this is not the class for you, but if you want a Professor who will make you actually interested in English than this is who you take, U WONT REGRET IT!
Best Prof at pace. All we did was watch movies and episodes of curb your enthusiam. Final grade is based on 3 essays with no strict deadlines. Easy A.

Great professor. I have never liked English, nor have I really done very well in it. He made me want to write good quality papers and he said something in class that I will never forget. He gave me the opportunity to get a good grade in English for the first time (last was an F - and I'm an Honors student). Would love to take him again.
He's disorganized and doesn't know how to manage his time. Also, be prepared to hear him talk about his writing and success A LOT. He knows a lot about the industry and the rules of professional writing, but he's not the deepest thinker. If you're taking a basic English class then he'd prob be ok, but DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR CREATIVE WRITING!
I'm an A student so I expected to do well in his class. Even after trips to the writing center (5 times) and countless hours writing for the class I still got a B on a paper. You MUST agree with his point of view, something I refused to do which made my grade suffer tremendously. He would rudely call students out during class on their opinions.

The class theme was movies so we pretty much watched movies each class and discussed them. Interesting class and he doesn't give much work. His discussion are eye opening, though he likes talking about himself..a lot. Easy on the eyes too.
worst professor I have EVER had. he was vague with all of his directions and never once responded to an email. harsh grader without any explanations for your grade. extremely unorganized.
Vague, disorganized, unprofessional. He takes his time responding to inquiries, doesn't follow his own syllabus, won't return papers, and is never satisfied. Don't take him unless you want to be constantly worrying what you receive.
Unprofessional, does not follow syllabus, lack of communication. Tells students to not use writing center. CONSIDERS A "B" a GOOD grade. Many people get b-. Avoid him if you want an A as a grade. Has many excuses as a professor. He does not conduct the course properly.
If you want your GPA to miserably decrease, Limsky is the ideal guy for this. I don't think he knows what he wants in a paper. I followed his advice and comments for all 3 papers and still received a horrible grade. He doesn't have any sympathy for students who actually put effort into their work. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR!
It's been over a year and I'm still recovering from the horrible grade I received. He's extremely vague with his papers, even when I followed every piece of advice he gave. After taking his class, I'm not confident that I can write even an average paper. I have read his articles and frankly, I've seen better. He's not worth a last resort.
