He's a real good professor~ if u need help he's willing~ yes he does turn class into a political battle... but that doesnt reflect on his teach capabilities... he's a real good prof... ez to get along with.. madd chill.. get him for ENG 101/102 :)

his a great guy. he helps u out a ton. but if ur late on papers or forget ur book(even for a day) u get points off like crazy and he makes u write about boring subjects and makes u read hard material (above ur grade level) to chall u. u have to work hard

I had him for 101 102 & 313. Students tend to drop 101 & 102 because they dont want to work hard, but Espo is a great prof and person. He will make you think critically about society and your role in it. If you dont want to think, dont take this class.

He was ok. He asked for a lot from a freshman and he always confused you because he kept mixing up topics.

he is not a failed poet. his book is coming out soon, and his poetry is great. only students who don't take accountability for their own lives do bad in his class.

Pretty easy... Books for class aren't boring. Thought he was cool, but shafted me on my grade due to absences.

He is the man! I have always been interested in writing but he opened up my mind to new thoughts and ways to expand my writing. I would take ten classes with him if i had the chance. He really isn't that bad when it comes to homework but attendence def.is important to him. If you express to him that you don't understand he will be glad to help you.

I had him for English 101 and left knowing how to write a college level paper and that helped me in every class I took afterwards. He uses English as a gateway to his true focus, getting students to think about and re-evaluate themselves and the world around them. This kind of intensity is not for everyone. If you're looking to slide by with an easy A, don't sign up for his classes.

I thought he was an excellent prof. the best english prof i have ever had since hs! i had him for creative writing. he is tough with the grading, so dont think you can bs around, but he helps you when you need it. i think i ended up with a Bor something...for his class but that was cuz i messed up on the final exam. but i got an A on his chapbook.

I think he is an excellent professor , who loves to teach. Hes a professor who makes writing and going to his class fun. If i had to grade him i would give you an A-. Keep it UP!!!

I absolutly love this class. Greatest teacher ive had in nassau. Very interesting and keeps the class involved! Does not punish people for being absent b/c ive missed 3. do the work and you'll be all set.

Not only the best professor I've ever had, or will have, but the most beautiful human being I have ever met. I was at Nassau 2 years ago but not a week goes by that I don't think of how he changed my life.He genuinely cares about his students and their future. Didn’t know people like that existed.

Very Very Very good teacher!!!.....i hated english my entire life, but he made class fun and changed my views on writing....he really teachers you how to write a college level paper, as long as you do the writing and he sees you put effort in, the grade will come.very fun classroom debates, we even listend to Biggie in class one day.take his class!

he's a professor you only get once in a lifetime he is willing to help you if your willing to help yourself,he's very fair with his assignments and grading(what ever grade you deserve you are definetly getting)

this is one of the best teachers i've ever had. and im definatly not a great student, but his work is fair, and not alot at all. he is really is like one of those inspirational teachers that you always hear about,but never think your going to acctually expirence. not to mention a total hotttie =)

I took a couple classes with Prof. Esposito and he was the best teacher i've had. He is extremely helpful and is very passionate about literature. He chooses interesting works to use for class. Definately one of the best.

Best prof I've ever had!Very passionate,understanding prof who teaches u literature as well as life.Asks u to rewrite ur paper many times but realize my writing improved a lot at the end of the class.As long as u work hard&show him ur effort,u'll be fine.Not a class for ESL student, but if u do want to achieve college writing level, it's the one.

He's a really cool person. Makes class fun while still teaching you about literature and writing. I actually learned a lot in this class and didn't mind showing up every day. You will have to actually try, but if you plan out your time it's not that much work. HAND IN EVERYTHING ON TIME!!!

He's a pretty good teacher, but he's a little much for a 101 class. At first I was really overwhelmed by him, he brings up the most controversial issues, but semesters end I understood where he was coming from. Good professor, decent guy.

Great professor, but expects a lot out of your papers. Ive always considered myself a strong writer and he gave me a C on my first paper. Don't take him if your not comitted to writing in an intense environment. But as a person he is wonderful, he has lived a lot of life and passes on his wisdom to the classroom

Professor Esposito is an intelligent, caring, & honest human being. I learned a lot from him about careful reading, writing, & critical analysis. His courses are demanding not because he asks his students to do a lot of work but because he maintains high standards for the small amount of work he assigns.

I never had any ability to write a paper before i took his 101 class. he is extremley help full and knowledgeable and hysterical. all though he demands quality work he truley is extremley good at teaching. i can easily say my entire class has grown as writers due to him unlike any other english teacher i ever have had.

Professor Esposito is a great person. He's so funny and very energetic. He's extremely helpful, but he demands a lot from your papers. If you're a slacker who does everything at the last minute, then you'll definitely fail. My advice is to go to his office during his available times and always have him revise your essays and you'll be fine.

Prof Esposito is really great. He requires reading but you dont really have to because you go over everything in class. If you go to his office hours for help on papers you will def get a good grade. On my first 2 papers I got A's. Hes really funny and down to earth. Take his class!!

Let me start off by saying I hate school. I'm never motivated to go to class, but having Professor Esposito changed that. He's hysterical and an amazing teacher. He goes into everything in great detail, but makes it interesting at the same time. I've grown as a writer and highly recommend him.

Best professor ever! Hes very liberal in his political views. comes to class wearing "I love weed california" shirts. Can be tough sometimes but makes you think and wants you to do better. You always come out learning something or thinking in a diff way. Extremely helpful. 3 papers and one of them is a rewrite. final is somewhat hard but open notes

He is an excellent professor!! If you have a opportunity to take one of his classes, I recommend it highly!! You will not be disappointed. His genuine love for literature will rub off on you whether you like reading or not. He's also very funny and enjoys having a good time with the class.

Great class, very laid back professor. Works with connecting to current society so it is always interesting. Very clear and helpful with the major assignments given. His office hours are very helpful. Attendance is a must and homework readings (of stories) are a must as well.

Best English Prof. Show up for class and hand your work in on time. The course consisted of writing one essay and developing it throughout the semester three times for three separate grades. Go to his office during office hours prior to handing in your essay and he will read it and make suggestions and corrections.. He is the best.

Such a helpful professor. He really did all he could to help me this semester. We only had to do one paper because a week or two from hurricane sandy.He isnt the easiest professor but he does it because he wants to make you work had and actually learn something. One of the best professors I have had at ncc. Extremly helpful!

I can say hands down Professor Esposito is one of the few most intelligent men I have ever met. For the serious student, he will open your eyes to a whole different view of life. I have never wanted to go to a class as much as when I had him. He is a brilliant and caring man all around. 3 very easy papers. Take him and you will not regret it, ever.

Took him for 2 semesters, was an absolute huge help. After Sandy he fixed the whole semester for those who were effected (like myself). You work on one essay all semester, he improves your grade, always there to help, must take.

Great teacher, really helpful and nice. Must bring textbook ,1 paper all semester that you have to keep revising. Only lets 2 absences though which sucks. Overall so awesome.

Esposito was the most interesting teacher you can find, he will not only teach u about english and how to write but he will teach you about reality in life. he tells the most interesting stories and loves to always hear yours. he doesn't believe in tests or quiz so you'll get none and he'll only want to see you improve ur writing.

Professor Esposito is not only a great professor but a great guy, his lessons often can be related to real life situations and his class changed my perspective on some important life lessons, take his class if you wanna have mature discussions about real stuff

Professor Duane is the best there is. Im so glad I took his class. I think every student in ncc should take aleast one of his classes. He is so inspiring as he opens your mind to different sides of a situation. He is amazing. I wish I could take his class over and over again. Be prepared to work and read but he helps you through all the way.

I enjoyed taking his class. He kept it interesting even though not every story we read was great. The paper you write is throughout the entire semester with multiple drafts. It is not too difficult but he is very helpful. He does not believe in tests or quizzes which is great. The only homework is to read a few pages a night.

Esposito is the best English professor Nassau has to offer. He will go out of his way to teach and clarify any questions you have. I took him for 102 & 204 and would become an English major if he taught out of Nassau. You work on 1 paper all semester and get to learn from your mistakes, unlike many other classes. You get graded on what you put in.

Professor Esposito is exceptional. He is very passionate in his lecture. This class is far from boring. Attendance is important and bring your textbook every class. Clear grading criteria. He offers extra help. If your looking for greatness.. he's a definite. Professor Esposito is respected by students and really engages his class!

Esposito is a cool guy. Only 1 Long paper but no tests, which can be pretty amazing. Reading is essential but he goes over the stories in class. I was on the wait list for his up-coming 102 class but unfortunately, it was already too full. Read the stories he gives you cause some of them are actually inspirational.

Prof. Esposito was one of the best profs I've ever had at NCC! He's extremely helpful and truly inspirational. You're given only one paper to write the whole semester. You write up to 3 drafts - going through the whole writing process. If you work hard enough, you will see your writing improve. In-class discussions have many lessons. Take him! :)

Professor Esposito is an excellent educator. His lectures are very inspiring because he teaches from his own personal experience. He's probably one of the best if not the best teacher I've ever had. Take him for ENG102 if you need the credit, you will not be disappointed.

Prof esposito is one of the best professors at NCC. no tests just homework, every class you have to read and answer a question based off of it for hw but it is not hard or a lot. he knows how to connect with the students which is why he is so great. 3 papers based off of what you are doing (poems,play,stories). very simple though. def take him!!

Professor Esposito makes class interesting and enjoyable. He discusses and makes you debate relevant topics. If you do the work and listen to what he says, you will pass with no problem. He also gives you the opportunity to rewrite essays for a higher grade.

Very genuine person, he goes very in depth into the discussions. If you pay attention in class (which its very hard not to) you will definitely understand the reading. I am in his English 101 class and he only assigns 2 essays, he also makes a lot of time in class to help you with them. 10/10 recommend.

Very cool and funny person. At first his essays might seem a bit confusing. However, if you have any questions he's always there for help. He gives very good feedback and always responds to emails. YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO WORK IF YOU WANT HELP.

He's a very good professor who gives very good feedback on your papers. He is willing to work with you to improve your papers and gives ample time to write them in class as well as offers office and seminar hours to help you with any questions you have about how to improve your paper. He helps you improve your writing a lot and is very hilarious!

Prof Esposito is cool. Gives two text readings every week that you have to write notes for, some of them can be long but he is pretty clear on what he wants. The class is just discussion on the text and he gives 2 papers for the semester. If you make the corrections he wants for the paper, and say a few words in class it's an A.

Best professor I've has so far at NCC. Do your text responses for every story you read and participate he actually listens to what you have to say and will give good feedback. Take him you won't regret it, you will actually learn something from him.

A professor that truly cares is a prime example of him. He always offers his office hours to anyone who needs help whether its school related or not. He truly cares about his students and will go the extra mile for them. He's very real, he doesn't hold back his thoughts; in a good way. Professors like him is what we need more of.

Honestly this professor is very fair. If you show up to class and do what he asks its easy. He doesnt give any tests, your grade is solely based on two papers and participation. I really enjoyed his lectures hes very funny. Definitely not a boring guy.

One of the best professors I ever had. Professor Esposito is nice, funny and caring. He actually makes class interesting and I learned a lot from him. His classroom policies are very fair. He is a tough grader but its beneficial because you will actually learn from your mistakes and become a much better writer. I am so glad I took his class.

He teaches because he cares, his lectures are very moving, he makes older pieces of literature relatable and cares strongly about effort. The first essay he gives out, he'll be very critical upon, but as long as you fix the mistakes that essay grade won't count. Got more than a B in the class, I've gain so much knowledge on English.

I wouldn't say you need the textbook, a lot of the stories are found online. I would make sure at least one classmate has the textbooks though because you will need it for referencing to essays. Grading policy a little difficult to understand, but overall great prof!!

Prof. Esposito is an outstanding professor. His coursework consists of weekly writings and discussions, as well as a couple of papers. He is a very tough grader, but for all the good reasons. He wants to see your writing improve and does not care if you aren't the best writer. His grading criteria is strict but fair.

He also ask questions to the class about things in life and he correlates our answers with the stories and what we can write in our essays based on how we think. I totally recommend this class don't be dubious to pick this class.

Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the greatest professors Ive ever had. I never found him boring, I always looked forward to his class. He cares about his students and that is a quality I admire in a professor.

I took this guy I think 2-3 maybe even 4 years ago I still remember the work I did there. Hills like White elephants, he broke it down so well I reference it conversation like it was natural. Theres a story about a woman who was suffering from Post Partum Depression, and I remembered his lecture and sent it to someone. Hes informative, take him.

YOU MUST TAKE PROF. ESPOSITO! I've never met another professor that cares as much as he does. He proudly expresses his opinions and ideas but is equally grateful and accepting when it comes to your opinion and ideas. I had the best time in his class! Just take into consideration that any English prof. you have after him will probably disappoint.

Esposito is one of the Professor at Nassau community college. He cares about students and is very inspirational. His readings have a good message if you put attention. I personally enjoyed all of them. I recommend him

I got away with not talking much but I had him online only and with a class that talked enough to make up for me thankfully. Every class we had to come prepared with an analysis on a writing from the book we buy, this is what every class was based on. The papers were simple enough, he got easier as the semester went on and hes pretty understanding

I took this class online. Hes a very fair teacher and hes funny. He does prefer when you participate and engage in the conversation. I was comfortable with him and his class got easier as the semester went on. I would recommend him

listen if you want to do well in the class, you better make sure you PARTICIPATE , because he even told me grade would have been higher I have done so. and if you get the chance go to his office hours ,the man is more the willing to help you. He does make literature very interesting

I did enjoy his class as he was respectful toward his students, and treated everyone like adults. However, he did grade our papers very strictly so make sure you take your time on them and avoid using run-on sentences throughout. Although the class was difficult at times, it is worth having him as a professor. Also he allows a rewrite for Paper 1.

I have said this before and I will say this again he is a great professor!

Amazing professor, but equally as critical. Strives to make YOU a better student in your writing, which can lead to much criticism. Because of this, his class is not for the faint of heart, but if you're up for a challenge, he's willing to be there for you. A caring and empathetic professor, and most importantly, always being as real as possible.

Prof. Esposito seemed really imposing at first, but he's actually a fun professor with a lot of passion for literature. He has strict regulations, but the bare minimum is easy to achieve (per meeting, read 1 reading, pick 1 standout quote). Very understanding and just wants to see his students and modern literature flourish. Participation matters!
