i think that this professor is very good. He is very knowledgeable and funny. He gives his true honest opinion and relates stories regarding the topic. i really learned a lot in this course and was very happy. The worst is the tests, they suck.

TALK ABOUT BIOLOGY IMPAIRED! THAT WAS ME BEFORE TAKING THIS HIS CLASS! I actually UNDERSTOOD what he was teaching! I never had an interest in bio which made things alot harder for me. He's a great teacher and uses the simplest of terms to make you learn.

This class was a lot of fun and i learned a lot too. Prof. Grembowicz is a funny guy and makes the class very interesting. The tests are straight forward multiple choice and there are 2 lab tests. Easy if you go to class and just study notes.

Amazing guy! He's the reason I'm a vegetarian. Very charismatic and a very nice guy. I was in the hospital for a while and he made arrangements to let me finish the class and I got an A. Totally recommended.

He gives you everything you need to know in your notes and is very clear about what is on each test. He also always tells you when you'll have a quiz and what to study for it. AND If you take him for Bio I and then again for Bio II he gives you extra points at the end of the semester.

Very interesting guy and not a hypocrite about what he teaches, which he does well. Good teacher and the tests aren't that bad. Ample opportunity to boost your grades and you will learn very useful information from him.

I really liked his teaching style. Environmental Science labs were the best and I learned a lot. I could still tell you the differnet plants and trees from the that we learned from the lab.

"Grem" is awesome. He cares about his students and the work they do. He is very helpful, his work isn't easy so you can't slack off, but he is a great teacher. Outdoor labs (because he hates the classroom) and gives you a true sense of the environment. **WARNING** Rain, shine, or snow. You will be going out, out midterm was in the snow!

Don't let other people scare you about Prof. Grembowitz, he is one of the best professors I've ever had. If you apply yourself, you'll do great in his class, I know I did! And I never even bought the book.

I had Grembowicz for every class he taught. I would take him again in a heart beat. He is fun and informative. Do take advantage of him or he will be tough on you. He's really understanding if you are having trouble as long as you let him know. I recommend taking him if you get a chance even if you don't need the class.

Teacher uses classical lecture style. If you show up, pay attention and take notes, you'll do well. I never even opened the book and got a B+. He was excellent :)

Don't even bother buying the book...tests come from notes...wish I had realized that before I shelled out all the money :( Tests/quizzes are pretty challenging, but once the semester ends he's very generous with grades...I got a B and I am really bad at science!

I had Grembowicz for both Bio I & Bio II...he taught lecture and Antontelli did the lab. I am not very good in the sciences, and ended up getting an B the first time around, and an A the second time. Don't buy the book...it's a waste of money. Take good notes and you'll be fine. Gives a "signing bonus" for those students who take more than once!A+

His notes are very helpful, so I highly suggest showing up for all of his classes if you want to do well on the tests and quizes. I wish I could take him for all of my science courses.

Hearing as many positive things as I did about Grembo, I was eager to take his class. He is one of the most intelligent people I've ever met. He is never boring and his witty humor is an extra. Labs were amazing. I am sad this class is over. I learned so much in so little time. He is awesome. DO NOT slack though, this is not that kind of class!

I had Grembo for AP2, Marine Biology, and Ecology. Every lecture this professor gave was filled with entertainment and information that you will remember. Any person who has any interest in Science should take Grembo without any hesitation! He really is the man! GL Grembo keep up the ?good finds? in lab and don?t eat random mustard plants!

Even as a Biology Major, this was hands down my favorite class. It was one of those classes that everyday you went home with something new and interesting to talk about. Not only interesting, his sense of "Science Humor" is more than amusing. And the exploratory labs are out of this world! MUST TAKE THIS CLASS!!! "Save the World, Kill yourself."

Prof. Grembowitz reversed the eduction that I got in A&P I a made A&P II a great learning experience. If I had a better A&P I teacher I would of got a better grade in this class.

Take this professor! His course will open your eyes and change your life! The quizzes are easy, but the test are challenging and you have to pay attention in class or you will not do very well. Expect to get wet, muddy, dirty, and bug bitten...maybe a blister or 2... but it is worth it. and the class is exciting. every day you learn something new!

Truly a great teacher! He is very, very knowledgeable and experienced about biology, and so can give clear and personal examples of things. Understanding and easy to work with. You definitely have to do your work to do well, though. He's funny and makes lectures interesting and easy to follow, even at 9am.

Grembowicz is an excellent teacher, and one of the finest human beings I have ever met. He brings you into the field and shows you real life examples that physically exist. not just some textbook picture. ENV should be a required course at occ. Its been the most eye opening experience for me. I am a vegetarian because of him!

I picked Professor and discovered that I had picked a winner. Definitely his "strong suit" is clinical applications and disorders. You will actually learn how to reason problems out, a plus for someone who couldn't think theoretically. Classic lecture style & no surprises. Highly recommended A+++!

Prof Grembowicz has a very dry sense of humor. He is very intelligent and true to his students. He makes you work very hard. Regardless of what grade you got in the class A or C, you come out of that class knowing something. He does not spoon feed anyone. He is fair. He prepared me for the nursing program.

Pine Barrens Biology 101 Highly recommended, extremely interesting class and Professor. Great field trips. Not an ?easy? class but worth it. Take notes and do reading, the tests are taken from both. Do a journal. Don?t fall behind. Great topic. Unforgettable class. A+!

Grembo is the BEST! I am not into science one bit, but after taking his environmental class I LOVED IT! He made it SO much fun, especially the filed trips you take! I would HIGHLY recommend him, but his tests are tricky, not easy. Just listen to him, he has lots of interesting lectures!

The first three tests I read the notes before the test and I didn't do too well. For the last test I spent 3 weeks studying and I had an 81 (C+) in the class. I needed a B. I must have gotten an A on the test. All you need to do is read the notes and everything on the tests will be in your notes. Best teacher ever!

Best class to ever take in the summer time! The lectures were amazing, and the labs were out of this world! So much fun, and you end up learning a LOT. It's a lot of material to learn in 5 weeks, but Prof. Grembowicz makes it managable. Tip: Review your notes every night. Otherwise, this was an A++ class! Highly recommended!

Great professor! Biology is a tough subject, so it's kinda a given that you need to study or you're gonna fail. He is a great teacher, but he usually just does lectures. Make sure you get a decent lab teacher, that was my mistake with this class.

I took environmental science w/ him and it was by far the best class I took at OCC. Not only is he super smart, but he's also hilarious. He also has a facebook group dedicated to him, which only confirms how awesome he is as a professor.

He is the best professor I have taken (a&p II). He takes the time to explain things until you understand them and will answer all questions. He grades very fairly and leads an excellent lab. He makes sure everyone is seeing the right thing in lab and the practicals are very well organized. He has a good attitude and personality too.

Very good professor. Only negatives is he makes nasty comments about the spouse of the politcal leaders he opposes and tries to make his students become vegans with scare tactics. He also makes fat jokes about people. I find him a good teacher but personally repulsive and condescending.

I'm taking him now for bio and Environmental and I'm taking him for everything else I can. I love this man. He's hilarious and so smart. He does push his opinions on you, but everything he says is all fact. Not an easy A, but I actually look forward to going to his classes. Take him for whatever you can. He TRIES to trick you Read every question on the test 3x &look at it from every perspective Do not be fooled he DOES NOT give straightforward tests! The essay part wasn't too bad that was pretty simple MAKE SURE YOU STUDY. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. IF YOU DON'T STUDY, YOU'RE D E A D!!! Amazing teacher! The best at OCC by far in the science department (or any department for that matter.) He speaks clearly, easy to understand, will answer any and all questions (even if they're irrelevant) tests were difficult but he gives many extra credit opportunities (all worth 10pts on exam/practicals) and even drops your lowest quiz grade.

My favorite college professor ever! NEVER used the book! Tests are given solely on his lecture material. YOU MUST show up and take good notes. Labs are fantastic. All off-site at local beaches, parks, etc. Good sense of humor. Should keep political thoughts to himself though, so watch out for subtle indoctrination. Regardless, he's a great teacher!

I learned more in one semester from Professor Grembowicz than any other prof I have ever had. He is such an excellent teacher that if you skip lectures, it really is YOUR loss. Nobody ever said AP2 is easy but you will learn this material with this prof if you work hard. I also enjoyed his dark sense of humor.

Best professor I ever had for this subject, had to retake it due to my credits not transferring from a previous school and he just explains everything in a well manner and if you stick to his power points especially focus on diagrams and pictures you are set. he explains thuroughly and tests on only what he goes over in class.

Pay attention in class and review his powerpoints before exams. He hands you all information on a silver platter. Labs are a joke; simply show up to his Practical review session (Grem shows you the test). Display interest by attending extra credit opportunities he offers. Your reward will be far greater than the points awarded if you get my drift

By the end of next semester I will have taken him for 6 classes, because he is the absolute best at teaching! He is professional and serious but funny and very helpful. Tests are straight from his powerpoint, he offers 3 extra credits, each 10 points, and his labs are off campus. I like to compare him to Mr. Feeny from "Boy Meets World".

Makes sure to explain things in a way youll understand. He loves joking around in a sarcastic kind of way. ALWAYS be on time to class, he hates being interrupted by late people. The first science professor that didn't put me to sleep through their powerpoint. He is direct and funny. He does give up to 30pts extra credit. If I had more time to study for tests would have gotten an A for sure. Gives weekly quizzes from last weeks lecture at beginning of class, if you miss it you get a 30%. 4 tests.

I've taken this professor for two different biology courses. He is so great! I would take him again if he taught more course that I need. I almost took a random course for no reason, just because he was teaching it. He is fair and wants you to learn. I never used the book. I got an A in Bio I and an A in Envi Sci. Take him!

Professor Grembowitz is one of my favorite teachers. His lectures are clear, concise, and to the point. As long as you study his power points tests should be no problem. He can be a little condescending but his teaching ability makes up for it.

Amazing guy. only grades were tests/quizzes and final project. But he's super insightful, intelligent, and a little cynical but in a humorous and respectful way. You get 3 extra credit options a semester. all are +10 on your lowest tests. notes every class, never out early, but so worth it. especially if you're interested in environmental harmony.

This guy is hands down the best professor at OCC. If you have a crummy sense of humor, don't take him. He is very passionate about his job and gets his students very intrigued and interested in his lectures. Funny dude too! His class is pretty hard which consisted of 4-5 tests and a paper. Lab is easy too.

I'm very good at science, but I loved and did well in his class. Quizzes and tests are pretty easy if you read over the powerpoints (he posts them online). You can get up to 30 points extra credit. He is hilarious and I would cry laughing in his class. He will make you care about the environment

I've taken him for 3 classes and am going for another next semester. By far the most involved and passionate professor I've ever had. He has a dark sense of humor, so if that's not your thing I wouldn't recommend him. He lectures for the entire class and always tells you when you have a quiz. Extra credit is basically 30 free points on exams.

Grembowicz is an amazing professor, and I have taken him for several classes now. I will admit his tests are quite hard and you need to put time into studying for them. I consistently get 95-100s in my other classes tests and consistently get 80-88s on his tests. Do the extra credit and be prepared for his tests and youll do fine. Hes worth it!

Grembowicz is an awesome professor. He's going to hold you to a certain expectation, so be prepared to study a lot but there is no reason you shouldn't be able to get an A if you have a good handle on the material. He's funny and provides you with a lot of material but nothing particularly daunting or difficult. Don't bother getting the textbook.

He is a really funny, science loving guy. He takes pride in what he does, and you will learn a lot, while enjoying it. As a business major, I was surprised to find my favorite class of the week being this class with prof. Grembowicz! He cares about the material and kept me interested during his lectures! You learn a lot of really valuable information in his class that sticks with you and yeah, there's a lot to study but it's worth it! This man is a legend. I've taken all of the classes Grembowicz teaches, and now that I'm no longer at OCC, I long for the days of his classes. If you're looking to learn (not memorize) then any of his classes are for you. Labs are all outside, and you identify different plants/birds. Absolute amazing, I wish he taught upper level classes!

Professor Grembowicz is very knowledgeable and passionate about environmental science. With that being said, you definitely need to study to do well. Every class is a lecture. He brings up politics often but in relation to environmental policies. He's very blunt and quite funny, so lectures are often somewhat entertaining.

Professor Grembowicz for lab is a good choice. We walk through parks and he points out the trees and plants we need to know. There are two practicals, and they get averaged together and go into your lecture grade as 25% of your overall grade. You have to study, but if you study and pay attention it's not too bad.

Prof Grembowicz's lectures are at a fast pace so be prepared to take notes fast. He has 4 exams and 5 quizzes throughout the semester, so definitely do extra credit when given the opportunity. His labs are not stationed in a classroom, they are at state parks throughout Ocean County. I would take him again for a science course if I had too.
