Dustin is probably one of the best teachers at unr. Each class was fun and upbeat with endless jokes. Another thing about the class was that it was that he was fair in grading and handling peoples problems. Reason to take his class is that you will actually learn something.

So much can be said about this class but one thing comes to mind is great. His lectures are well done and he gives out his powerpoints afterwards. I was honestly scared to take this class at first, but glad it happened. Two points of advice in taking this class, study and do the homework, the test are hard.

Let's it be said I passed his class but it was very hard but he helped me understand chemistry better than anyone ever has. Can't really tell how many hours spent in his office hours but it was worth it. Kick the tutors to the side he explain things way better.

Homework is important in this class do it, it will help on tests. Organization and Work will only do in this class to survive, it was tough. Determination is also needed to finish up the final with a good grade, though his Original spin on chemistry is what keeps the class awake at 8 am. You will not fall asleep no matter how tired you are.

On the plus side the class was entertaining to go to. Usually there should be less emphasis on book work, but otherwise the class was fine. Late work is not accepted which I was surprised about half way during the year. Knowing this in advance would be nice, but he does not go over the syllabus at all, part my fault, but wish he would explain that.

Every class after the first week we had homework due. This was quite a lot of work, but it did help out with tests. His office hours are worth going to, I was there quite a bit, lots of help. Simply do the homework, his tests questions are very similar.

Simple way to pass this class is to do the homework. Other than that you will need to read a lot. Math matters if you are terrible at math then you may want a tutor. Everyday in class you will have a mountain of information, but overall it is pretty good class.

Days of reading in this class it is non stop. Almost every weekend of mine was reading the book. You may want to put some time aside to go to his office hours. You will not regret taking this class.

One thing you need to in this class is study the homework. Under ten hours a week and you will not do well. Work was a lot but once you get help from him its not that bad. I was able to pass the class by going to office hours and studying the homework.

Long class and Lots of work. Get studying soon as possible. Every problem is important. Two thing to know for this class. One do the homework it will help and No slacking. Most of his tests are just like the homework. You will like his lectures which is something to look forward to.

Lots of work. Every class there was homework. Volume of work was really the only issue. Everyday a little done will work for you. Lectures and office hours were a big help.

The class was tough but it was better than most. The test questions are just like his example problems that he explains in class. Good professor.

The class was very easy. Mostly because the professor has great power points and lectures are clear. He gives you the power points it could not be easier good class overall.

The class was great. Tough but the lectures were long but not boring at all. Well worth taking, but make sure to do the homework the tests are very similar just how he said in the class.

He wants you to know the concepts rather than just the answer. The class becomes so much easier when you go to his office hours and ask questions, since he drops hints of what will show up on the test and what will not if you listen carefully. Good teacher, would definitely take again.

His class is pretty easy if you do the homework the test questions are the same. His lectures are very detailed but he gives the power points of his slides which is awesome helps out with studying.

Wish he taught Chem 122, his lectures are very good and at the same time I understand almost everything he is presenting. There is a lot of information coming out, so at times its hard to keep up, but he gives the powerpoint slides, which makes it easier to study. Good professor, would recommend to anyone.

Had to retake chemistry, but this professor made the material easy to understand. Great class.

All the extra credit really made the class easier, but to be honest his lectures were funny and entertaining, that alone is enough to want to take the class.

The tests were insane. I just want to say I failed the first test, but you can make it back up later on with lots of help. I wish he would add some more tests for the course because the first test I did not know that all the questions would be just from the homework. I did not have the book for the first test and that really made a difference.

This class is not bad at all. If you do the extra credit he gives after each test, by redoing the test itself, by the end of the year its about 10% of your grade, if you get all the points. He really wants you to learn the material, the class was not that tough if you study for it and do the work.

The class lecture is really important to go to. He generally tells you what is on the test if you listen closely. Going to his study sessions too helps out a ton. Very good professor.

The class and the book are the two most important things to have in the class. The professor does not trick you at all, but tries to clear things up as best as possible. Good lectures and he knows what he is talking about.

The tests were just crazy. Yes they're straight from the homework, but he does not go easy on the grading of them. You need to really do everything correct for full points, however, this is not too big of a deal since he gives you a chance to redo the test.

Easy class if you do all the extra credit for the questions you miss on the test. He is really nice and he explains everything you miss on the test. It makes it easier when he gives you an answer sheet for the test afterwards which you can see how it is really suppose to be done.

Lots of reading but if you do that you pretty much passed. Do the extra credit and boom you will be on your way to an A. Good teacher too its a win win all around.

Good class, but just tons of homework. He does not grade the homework at all, so don't let that be a down point of the class. He just assigns all the homework for tests, which is great. His lectures take up the entire time, so don't expect to leave early. On the bright side his lectures are entertaining.

He is a great professor, just wish he was a little easier. The amount of homework he gives is huge, even if the test is based off the homework there is no way to really do it all unless you start right when he assigns it. The class overall is worth taking if you have to take chemistry, but just warn you it is tough.

The class is a lot better than I expect. Most people been scaring me that chemistry is the toughest thing in school, but this professor seems to be like any other class. The main difference is that he seems like he cares about all the students, and wants to help people out, and tries to get people involved too.

The class was pretty good. The main problem with the class is that there is hundreds of students and trying to get help from him is really tough mostly because there are too many people. Once you get help, he definitely is the best help you can ever get, main problem is getting it. But don't let that stop you from taking him, he is really good.

The class was pretty good he gave out tons of examples all the PowerPoint slides and he answers his emails the same day. That alone is enough to take his class plus you can understand him.

The grading of test is really tough. He wants you to get the correct answer which he offers extra credit for correcting wrong answers on a test. Best part he will help you out with the correction this is a good class if you're unsure about chemistry.

Honestly after taking his first test it felt like you did not know a thing. However, he does give extra credit and the answers to all his problems, which helped explain how to really do the tough problems. When the second test came around we all sort of knew how to work the problems. This class is well worth taking if you have to do chemistry.

The main thing about this class there is a ton of homework. To do it all you need to do at least 5-10 hours a week outside of class to finish it. But he nice enough to make them test questions too which allows you to study while doin homework. The class is good overall well worth taking.

I would take him for another class if he taught something else. His lectures are good and the class is not that bad if you study. Really its all the side information that he gives you that makes the class way better.

The class is long, he takes up the full time, so do not plan to leave early. However, the class is put together pretty well, that the time usually flies by with him lecturing. Not a bad class to take.

Go to class he drops hints in class for the test. If you can study the homework you can do the tests. Really his lectures are good he puts a lot of time into his talks.

Its a great class, he does a really good job. Main issue is that he has a ton of students and never has enough time to help everyone out. His lectures are great and everything else, but I just wish he had more time to get some more help or either less students

He really knows what he is talking about and is well prepared for the class. I love that he gives out handout to all of us for example problems for us to do along with him in class. His lectures are fun and he tries to get everyone involved. Great class, would not have him change a thing.

Great teacher! The class is going by quickly I never feel bored in there, really it is just a good class. Not too hard when you study.

He is a great teacher but he will not pick you on details on the test. However this is not bad since he gives you extra credit to correct them. Really it seems that he wants you to get the problems not just be filed through like other classes.

Well worth taking this class, if you have to go and do Chem 121. I had another professor before and the class was not nearly as good as this one. In this class I can understand what he is saying and he actually has an interest in the class.

Tough class, it's probably one of the toughest ones I have ever taken. Mostly because of the work load but on the bright side all the work is like the test so he dies not waste your time.

The class itself was interesting and fun for the most part. He tries to show you the usefulness of what you're doing and tries to explain why the class is not a waste of your time. I think that part itself is worth taking the class since he puts in a lot of effort and does it pretty well. Its a good class for certain.

this class is easy do the homework it is just like the test. Bad part is that there are way too many people asking for his help to even get his help but that is because he is really good.

This is a very hard class if you're not good with science, but if this is your first science class, then its best you take it with this teacher. He helps out so much, I do not think I couldve passed without him!

OMG this teacher is awesome, way better than any other I have ever had. He cares about all the students and tries his best to explain something. For every topic he has three different ways to explain it, he just so smart in everything, take this guy if you have the chance! Best teacher ever!

Great. Class I can't complain about the work load because it was not for points but rather just for studying. This guy knows what he is talking about and is really helpful. If you can take him for chemistry the do it!

Very tough class. The tests are crazy if you don't study. I made that mistake on the first test and got destroyed. One word of advice is to study because there is no way to finish the test on time without doing the homework and studying. But he a great teacher so that is a plus.

This is a great teacher to take chem121 from he is smart speaks real english and loves teaching. The class is real tough but you will want to take this class with him rather than other professor.

The class is really good he tells us everything we need to know but his syllabus needs to be a little more clear. But he helps out a ton go to his office hours he basically head over heels to help you.

This is one the best teacher I ever had. Not only does he explain everything clearly he does it with humor and style. Best part about his teaching style is that he is down to earth, he is a very humble man and its a good change of pace from other professors. The extra credit saved my life, he is the man to take chemistry from.

It's to bad that he does not teach another class like Chem 122 because he is amazing at teaching. Every thing about the class is great!

Normal class for the most part, the lectures were good and the tests were not too bad. Really it was a lot of work but it was useful. I would recommend this teacher I can't think of anything that he can do better.

The class was not too hard, he gives out all his power points and the homework is a lot like the test so there is no need to go to class all the time. However he does drop hints of what will be on the test each class which is nice, plus he is entertaining to watch during class he teaches very good.
