Love em! He's not a pushover teacher, but teaches so you understand. Lots of visual demonstrations and charts/pictures. Great in Lab too, but seemed to help the "early leavers" faster than those that put in the time needed. Got A's in both.

He is a very upbeat professor. The examples he uses will make you never forget what he is teaching. His tests are a little bit difficult. He is very helpful though and will take the time to help you as much as possible. This is one professor I will miss!

I have Dwane for lab and for lecture. His way of teaching is great; I have learned so much, and it seemed pretty easy. If it isn't on the sheet of objecitves he gives you or he doesn't mention it in class he won't test you on it. He is helpful and welcomes you to ask any questions. He is a little harder for lab, but I still highly recommend him!

Don't listen to this people down below and what they are writing. I had him for 223 & 224. Mr. Aulner is one of the best teachers to take for A & P, Labs yes he is not the easiest, but for lecture you will look forward to coming to class. his test are a little hard, but he is one that you will never forget

Very intense teaching and very hard lab quizzes but in the end you will know more about the lab material in comparison to other lab professors

So far, he is awesome. Yes, the material is hard, but he puts it to you in a very logical manner. I am so pleased with him (so far) that I plan on taking his 224 class. He is funny, smart, and upbeat!

Aulner is one of the best teachers at this school. Very interesting lectures. He does a good job of making difficult material understandable. Gives you a good study guide for the tests.

Makes lectures fun and understandable. You need to read the book AND the applications manual. Tests are confusing. Questions are clinical in nature. Wish he would have taught that way. He expects you to read the material, digest it and then make it applicable to the clinical setting. He gives you objectives for each test. study them!

He explains everything so well and keeps you interested in the subject. He's funny and dorky which makes him kinda cute. One of the best instructors I've had!

The best teacher for A%P at CSN. He is hilarious and makes things very easy to understand. There is never a dull moment when he teaches. Gives you objectives to study. Review notes and objectives you will get an A. Definitely going to take him for 224.

I think he's one of the best professors I have ever had!!! I look forward to his class because he makes things so much easier to understand. Do the objectives he hands out and take great notes and you'll do good! And he is sooooo hot!!

I didn't realize that professors like him existed until now. He's AMAZING. His lectures are funny and never uses powerpoint Problem is, he's in high demand... so if you actually get into his class be grateful. I could go on forever about him, so I'll just stop now.. but he's great. :)

He'll always clarify if you ask, keeps great office hours and welcomes visits, and provides his students with wonderful study resources. One of the best at CSN!

The best A&P teacher at CSN. He is easy to understand and only tests you on what he talks about in lecture and what is on his objectives sheet. Get him if you can. He's in very high demand.

He is unbelievably good. One of the best professors I have ever had in my life. He teaches a very difficult subject in a way that allows you to remember and understand. He is very straightforward and tests off of lectures and objectives. Uses the book A LOT. Know the objectives and you will do well.

Awesome teacher. Gives objective sheets and lectures are awesome. Whatever is on the objective sheets and whatever is said in lectures will be on the test. You can pass if you put in the time and effort into this class. Book used mainly for reference, but I highly suggest having it! Take this teacher for both A&P 223 and 224 you wont regret it!

Unbelievable! The BEST TEACHER ever at CSN. He teaches so great. you wont regret to take his class ( He is CUTE!!!) He dosen't writhe on the board so international students might have problem in taking lecture note.

He is a GREAT teacher; explains everything in detail. He is NOT an easy "A" ask anybody in the class. Exams are 50 questions, no print out notes, no extra credit, no curving. Fair game on exams for whatever he discuss in his lectures and on objectives. Highly recommended especially for audio learners NOT for visual learners. Prepare to STUDY!

Wow! Everything is said. He is the best in CSN. But don't have chance to have'em for spring(224) since it's full.I highly reccommend to have a recorder. His exam-5 and one final-all are from what he said in lecture and his objectives-study guide.So don't west ur time on the 10Lb book.I will miss u Dwan!

He is a great teacher. His class is not easy, you will have to study. However he presents the info in a way that makes it easy to learn. Objectives are very helpful and all tests are set up the same so you know what to expect. Great office hours, very helpful. As an added bonus he's funny and a little cute too! Will be taking hime for 224 as well.

The material is not easy, but he makes it crystal clear on what you need to know and is very helpful! Take Aulner, especially if you are worried about labs with little background in bio...

This guy is a genius at teaching this very difficult subject. He uses everyday scenarios to teach. I just love him!! I will take him for sure next semester for 224. If you are able to take him do it, but his class fills up quick to register early. You won't regret it. This is my 2 time taking 223 and so far I am getting a "B". Yea!!

Prof. Aulner is great. Take him for A & P if you can. You WILL need to study, but if you are taking this class it is probably because you HAVE to and in that case, you NEED to KNOW the information. Professor Aulner is one of my favorite professors at CSN. He is very helpful and explains things so they make sense. I took him for both 223 and 224, I only wish he tought Nursing also! You definitely have to put time into your studies. If you read the book and go to lectures you will do well in this class. Highly reccomend Aulner! GOOD LUCK!

Mr. Aulner is super easy. He makes difficult concepts very easy to understand by using daily scenario. As long as you read the textbook, attend every lecture, and go over the objectives he hands out, you will do fine in his class.

I had professor aulner for both AP 1 and 2. He is the best professor by far not to mention real cute :) I highly recommend him for any student. He is most definitely UNFORGETABLE!!

I loved Aulner's A&P classes. He uses real life circumstances to help you understand hard concepts. He gives you objective lists, so if its on the list or in your notes it is fair game for the tests. He is very helpful if you see him during office hours. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! You will have to study your butt off, but that's expected for this class. His lectures are great and you actually want to listen to him. The best lecture teacher I have had in a very long time. The hardest exams I have ever taken. He may be entertaining, but prepare (really prepare) to study. The concepts are tough and all his exam questions are clinical type questions. There is no straight forward question or answer. You HAVE TO KNOW all the specifics about a concept. Have FUN!

THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF AND HE TEACHES IT VERY WELL. IF YOU CAN GET A SEET IN HIS LECTURE THEN YOUR STUPID NOT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT. NEVER HAD SUCH A GREAT TEACHER BEFORE. Fantastic teacher. Tells you what you need to know up front, and his tests aren't full of trickery like other 223 professor's are. He has a wonderful style of teaching and a sense of humor about it all.

this guy is a great teacher but you have to study and do the objectives like it is homework or you will bomb your tests. four test plus one comprehensive final. loved this class couldnt get a seat for 224 but i wish i did.

Good instructor. Record his lectures, do every objective, study, study, STUDY or you won't pass his class. His tests are tricky & there are always a few that he really tries to test your knowledge on. He's very smart & knows his stuff (shows in his lectures/tests). You will NOT pass this class if you are lazy and want an easy A.

He's a great lecture teacher however his tests are difficult. He likes to take that extra step to make you think outside the box to make sure you understand a concept as a whole and not just memorizing key parts. Expect clinical questions and scenarios on his exams. He is very helpful if you need it though.

Everyone knows Bio 224 is a really hard class. Aulner makes it a lot easier, he relates everything to the real world and gives many examples. Definitely suggest him

Best Professor!

Aulner proved to be one of the best teachers I've ever had. Made difficult topics easily relatable through many easy to remember analogies. Was always very helpful when asked for clarification outside of class. I really wish he taught every subject I needed to take.

Great instructor! Record lectures because this is not an easy course but he explains things to make you understand A&P. He is always willing to go over material in office if we didn't understand it in class. Answers emails but not on weekends so beware.

I really liked this class. Prof. Aulner is great at explaining things so they are easily understood. I love how he relates subjects to real life. He is also kinda funny. It is best to come to class, his test do include a lot from his lectures.

Hands down best professor I've ever had. Professor Aulner makes this class understandable. Show up, complete objectives, record lectures, put in study time and you'll pass. I've never had a professor that goes out of his way to help! Exam days, I study in the library and without fail EVERY time hes in there walking around to answer questions!

Best AP Professor I've ever had. He makes learning enjoyable by using personal & relatable experiences. As long as you complete the objectives, take notes, and re-listen to lectures you can pass his class. I will definitely take him for 224.

This professor condenses material for you and makes it very easy to receive a good grade if you put in the study time. There are no surprises on the tests as long as you take good notes and do the objectives. He makes complex concepts easy to understand. You will not regret choosing him as your professor for A and P.

awesome professor. great examples. hits stuff with yard stick. describes hitting, stabbing, slicing, taking out: body parts. great way to visualize what the body is doing during different functions, senses, motor action, etc. funny

He is very clear and helpful! Ask him anything after class and he will make sure you understand all the concept. Do not miss any test, his make up test is extremelly HARD!!! I had to draw diagrams etc. His regular tests are much easier, do not miss them for ANYTHING!!!

Took Aulner for 223 & 224 - He is fun to listen to, & does a GREAT job of explaining concepts - don't miss class, this class in hard in general - His test make you think - try not to over think though - that's my downfall :) I did ok in both 223 & 224. I am glad I took him - he might be harder than other teachers but you will REALLY LEARN SOMETHING

Great professor. Uses book only as a reference. Take notes and use the objective list to study. 5 tests (50 multiple choice questions - 2 points each), and 1 comprehensive final exam (100 multiple choice questions - 1 point each).

this class is really hard, but he helps explain concepts with real life stories, and makes it funny in the process! two things you need to know: one: go over in class notes and make sure you understand those concepts and two: go over+answer his objectives! very very important! it helps on exams! 5-50pt exams + 1-100pt comprehensive exam. recommend!

I have to say i enjoyed his class quite a bit. I love stories and since he relates many concepts with real life stories the hard stuff was easier to remember. Record his lecture, take notes. The people who say his exams were not on his lecture definitely DID NOT study! His exams are based on his lectures AND objectives which you can print out. Do this and study hard, and you'll get a good grade in this class. One of the best biology professors I've ever had!!

Prof Aulner is a great teacher! Even though I didn't get enough points for a C, I'm re-taking his class. He makes a tough subject interesting but you need to understand the concepts, it's not just memorizing. That's what I realized too late. He makes everything crystal-clear! I have just finished my first exam with Prof. Aulner, and to be perfectly honest It wasn't a walk in the park, but was not difficult either. If you pay attention in class and study the objectives anyone should be able to pass his test with a good grade. He is an amazing teacher and seems very honest on his test.

I don't understand why Prof Aulner gets such horrible reviews! I think he is an amazing prof. He doesn't ramble about nonsense, he gives you examples so that it makes it easier for you to remember the materials. I haven't finished his 223 lecture, but I've scored 909498 percent on so far his first three tests. It's a hard subject overall.

I think he is better than a lot of other biol professors. He is helpful, fair, nice,and funny. He tries to help you if you ask. And he has objectives which are guidelines for you to study from. He is a super cool guy, with a very laid back personality. Although, his exams are tough.

This is the 4th different biology professor here are CSN and have to say it has been the best experience to date. I now understand the concepts rather than just memorizing facts to recall for the test. Yes his tests are hard but they are a lot easier than most other professors. Would tell all my friends to take his classes!!

Aluner was AMAZING, I learned a lot for him and it had made my continuing nursing education easier. If you are not going to invest the time into the class then DO NOT take it. He is there in office hours to answer questions, even before a test and was always helpful. I would take his class again. LAB counts, its what lowered my grade

I loved this class, but I did have to work for it. His tests are not all that hard. I don't know why people say its torture and doesn't reflect what he lectured. BUT he did say anything he says in lecture and in the book and his objectives is up for grabs to test on. I got low As and high Bs on tests. My lowest test was an 82. Make time to STUDY

I took him for 223224 (only because I was used to his teaching tactics from the previous semester) Aulner is definitely not the easiest, but he does make class somewhat interesting by all his stories. Test are tough. Use his objectives to study. Record the lectures and take good notes. Attendance is not required but highly recommended! Good Luck!

Great teacher! His lectures are interesting and he is very good at explaining. Biology isn't easy, but he is always willing to help out. His tests are fairly easy if you understand the lectures and do the objectives. I'm glad my friend recommended me. Will be taking again in the fall.

Aulner has been my favorite teacher for the past two semesters. You simply cannot find a better teacher. His teaching abilities exceed most others in that he can teach the most difficult concepts so one can understand. With that said, this is a hard course. His test questions are so difficult. He gives a study guide that is very helpful.

He is the best 224 professor there is. I had an awful 223 professor and was SO happy to upgrade to Dwayne. His exams are fairly easy if you know what to look for. DO THE OBJECTIVES. The book isn't as necessary as with other professors, but still helpful. I would definitely take class with him again.

Dwane has been my favorite professor so far! He is extremely specific as to what you need to know for exams. Follow his objectives while you are in classstudying & you will be golden. I'd highly recommend recording his lectures and redo-ing your notes before each exam to ensure you catch everything he said. The class was tough, but so worth it!

I took him for 223,224 and now at UNLV and i still remember most of his lectures and lessons. They stick! i Got good grades, but not all did. Hard work is a must!

Biology is a tough class no matter who you take, but Professor Aulner helps break down concepts. There were 5 tests and 1 final. We had an objective print out for every test to know what to study for. Yes, it's a lot to study, but if you do, you'll do great on his tests. No trick questions, just lots of application.

Professor Aulner is an amazing instructor/professor he crystal clear about what to expect and what will be asked on exam with the use of his objectives. I don't understand why students who most likely are entering in a medical profession seek an easy A in BIO 223 and 224. What they should be really after is an incredibly smart professor who is in love with the human body from head to toe and KNOWS how to transmit that knowledge in a fascinating and never boring way. That is Prof. Aulner!

Anything on the objectives AND his lectures can be used as questions on the exam. Some of the objectives require you to read the book. There are a total of 5 multiple choice exams consisting of 50 questions and 1 final cumulative exam consisting of 100 question. Record lectures and answer ALL the the objectives and you are sure to pass.

I'm a current nursing student. His class prepared me very well for what nursing cool. Much of the info he emphasizes in class will come back in nursing school. So try to apply and understand as much as you can. If you think his exams are hard, you might want to rethink nursing school. It only gets harder.

Aulner has been one of my fav Proffessors this semester. Hes head of the Bio labs so he tends to merge the 2. If you can take his lecture before lab it will help you out entirely. I didnt get so lucky unfortunately. Tests are rough. I had to study (go figure in college) but he is well worth the work. And that A will look oh so sweet!

Aulner is the best A&P instructor at CSN. He gives you objectives for each chapter so if you put in the time to study and understand these you will pass this class. Use Wiley online its helps! He relates lecture to lab which helps you understand the anatomy and physiology of the subject. Rewriting notes for each chapter was a big help for me.

I haven't finished yet but I'm sadistically hoping I fail so that I can take his class again-THAT'S the mark of a truly great professor. And if I do pass, which might be a miracle because it really is a tough class REGARDLESS WHO TEACHES IT FYI, I will be in his office frequently for help with different courses. I could listen to him talk forever.

I don't understand some of the negative feedback Prof. Aulner is getting. He is very clear in lecture. DO NOT read the book it does not help. He has objectives on Canvas that you SHOULD print out!! They WILL be on test, I answer all the questions and put the definitions on flash cards, don't skip class. Best teacher I've had.

Professor Aulner is a Professional Leader of his profession. An individual that goes out of his way to help his students succeed. He makes a point to stop when he see you studying in lab, library, and in Science Research Center to answer questions and gives short positive recognition. He does not give you an A, he lays a path, you must decide...

Very funny teacher. Explains everything thoroughly but you have to read the book to pass the class. He doesn't go over everything in class so you have to read the book to figure out the rest for the test. Is there for you if you need help. Overall good teacher.

All Bio A&P classes are extremely difficult. Be prepared to dedicate hours of studying. Professor Aulner is an excellent instructor. He is hilarious entertaining but makes learning A&P enjoyable. This teacher is not tricky as i have read in other reviews. Yes it does require you to understand the material as some questions are asked in a "as if" situation. On top of the lectures there are a lot of definitions in his objectives that need to be learned. This class is very hard and demanding but he is very helpful if you go to his office.

Great professor that really makes class fun and interesting. He explains everything very good and he is there to help his students. Would definitely recommend him over any other instructors. I had to take 223 with another professor and I seriously hated that class, but with Aulner in 224 it was the opposite.

Biol 223 is a difficult subject period! Aulner is a good professor and knows he's stuff. You HAVE to read ahead to stay ahead in class, and that still may not be enough. Talk to him if you're struggling and he will give you helpful advice. Good Professor but very tough, and if you have questions email them to him, no time in class for questions.

Professor Aulner's class has got to be THE best lecture I have ever taken. His way of teaching has helped me enjoy learning A&P. He told the most understanding analogies and even taught with easy drawings and demonstrations. I didn't need a book for this class, but I did listen to recordings. Tough, but study and you won't regret taking the class!

I took Bio 223 lecture last semester with Aulner. I have heard soo many horror stories about this subject. I could not have done it without Aulner's lectures. Seriously he really helped me understand things in a way that helped me remember. Take him!! Of course you will have to study alot but he is the best. Taking him for 224

i wish i would have had him for bio223, best biology teacher. he really simplifies this hard subject. these classes are hard as it is lots of work but he really came in the clutch

Aulner is a great 224 professor. He explains concepts very clearly and is a really funny guy. He is down to earth and speaks at a level you can understand. He does not have power point and uses the textbook heavily. Record lectures and carefully listen to everything he says. I really enjoy his class and would highly recommend him.

Great lecturer. Teaches concepts in an understandable manner. Tests are very wordy and confusing. He has been teaching for 32 years. Very tough class, but if you study and seek help when needed you may be able to pass. I did not do well on his exams. Will probably not be taking him for 224. 5 exams and 1 comprehensive final. Professor Aulner is by far the best professor I have taken. He is clear in what he wants, and compares each topic he talks about with an analogy that allows his students to understand it easier. He uses the textbook A LOT, specifically for diagrams and tables. Take notes, record lectures and don't be afraid to ask questions b/c he is there to help.

I took Aulner for lab and hes awesome! He presents his material in a way that helps you understand and helps you remember. His questions are very clear, however, if you have a question he wants you to ask as he says he does not want you to miss something because of his wording. Highly recommend him! Taking him for 224 Lecture next semester!

This guy is the best! Record his lecture, get the book, and do EXACTLY what he says. he says make a chart, make the chart! I would listen to the lecture and rewrite the notes after every class. He will go over very smaller details in 10 min That'll make ur head feel like it's spinning. As long as u record n have ur book ill b A-OK. Go to evry lec.

He is a nice person and will answer questions/concerns. His way of teaching is pretty straight forward. He makes it clear what material he wants you to study for his tests. Many times he will use analogies so his students can better understand certain concepts. Lots of studying involved! He lets you audio record his lectures which is a huge plus!

Dwane is a really great professor; his lectures are fun and knowledgeable but the thing that killed me were his 50 Q Exams which were 2 pts per question. Meaning if you missed 10 questions, that's 20 pts off your grade. Attending class isn't mandatory, but if you miss class, you'll miss the little details that he could possibly put in his exams.

The objectives he gives are very helpful to the test! As long as you study you will do great! His lectures are important and give a lot of information dont skip class!

Personally think he is a great professor. Attendance is necessary to pass because he gives alot of good information during lectures! Pay attention to ALL the lecture, including small details. Those are sometimes the test questions. Because he doesnt go over all objectives in class you will need the book.

learned most of the content in lecture, so had less study time outside of class. teaches in a descriptive, memorable, and mnemonic way. wouldn't have survived the TEAS science portion without this teacher. highly recommend him, A&P is naturally hard so you shouldn't expect much at all; however, this professor is great in simplifying the material.

Professor Aulner is so humorous; I can learn a lot of things but will not feel overwhelmed. He will give you his memory trick and many examples to help you learn the knowledge . I took his Biol 223 and Biol 224 lecture. He is very patient and would like to answer any of your questions. He is one of the best Biology professor I have met at CSN.

I loved Aulner, I took him both for 223 and 224 and passed both classes. Doesn't use Canvas. Attendance is mandatory to pass the class because he goes over a lot of information in class. He does give objective to follow, he does not go over all of them in class so be prepared to put in hours to complete. MUST STUDY, you have to earn your grade.

Come to class, get the book, record his lectures. Listen to the lectures as you do the objectives. He covers most of objectives in his lecture. You get out what you put in. Grade based on exams and lab only. Test questions are conceptional. Loved him.

Not hard. Explains things in similes. I recorded lectures, rewrote notes, studied off the objectives he gives us. Have to really understand what is going on. Cannot base this off memory alone. Will take for 224. Tests are complex and need to understand the content, based on Content Mastery. No extra assignments. Just tests and lab points.

Come to class, record the lectures, do your objectives and you will do good. I spent 15 hours a week on average studying for lecture, not including lab. I was never asked about material he did not cover in lecture or have in his objectives. You have to put in the work.

Thank you Professor Aulner for getting through the struggles of online class as we deal with this virus. He was awesome before this shutdown and still continues to do his best for his students. He is an old school professor and in my opinion thats what makes him so awesome. Study hard and u will pass this class no prob.

I would recommend taking him for 223 and 224 so you can create a routine with the way you study. He was an amazing professor, very upfront and old school. My advice would be to take notes on the book, because the diagrams he recommends help a lot. USE HIS HANDY DANDY HANDOUTS. I studied A LOT for his class so no cutting corners at all.

I really like this professor. Hes head of the science labs and he took over during the switch to online due to covid 19 and I really enjoyed him. From what I could gather he seemed like a good teachers . I appreciated the pnemonics and other helpful hints he provided. He was recommended by the ICU nurse who took care of my grandma <3

Had him for 223 and 224 Lecture. You get what you put in. Make sure to do the Objectives. It will make your life much easier. His way of teaching is great because he makes you understand concepts that are needed for future professions. I would strongly recommend him but make sure to put in the effort because if you don't, don't expect to get an A

Dwane is a great. All his tests questions come from lecture, so really pay attention and take good notes. He is funny and relates A&P to every day things. I enjoyed his class and did well. He gives great feedback and study tips based on missed questions, so utilize him. He just wasn't a good fit my personal learning style, I had to work for my A.

Amazing professor. Explains things very well, which my other friends envy. Pros:hilarious, lectures were never boring even online. Cons:Tests were super hard! you have to note everything he says to ace his exams, doesn't cover everything that's on the objective list, you will have to read a lot. Will take him for 224, I learned a lot from his class

Professor Aulner is a wonderful instructor. You will work hard for your grade but he applies a lot of the information to everyday life scenarios making topics easier to understand. His lectures are very informative, thorough and enjoyable as he has a sense of humor. He takes a great deal of pride in his work and goes the extra mile for his students

All science courses are tough. You get what you put in. 5 exams ,1 final all 100 pts each, study and you will do fine. do all the objectives and take good notes for lecture. I didn't read the book, just notes and objectives. I think lab was harder than his lecture. Don't be afraid to ask him questions, he gets back to you quick.

Professor Dwane Aulner is a Nerd who lives at A& P Nerd Headquarters ! I absolutely loved his class . I had him for 223 & 224 both in person & online . Hes a great teacher who will get that brain working . If you study & listen to his lectures you will pass his class . His tests can be tough but never tricky . If you have questions ask him!

Prof Aulner is amazing. I had no idea what to expect with 224 lab being online. His videos were long, but very thorough and quite funny. I only wish I could've been in his classroom.

I am taking A&P during the pandemic and everything is solely online. Prof. Aulner really makes sure that you understand the material, is extremely thorough, and makes the lectures fun. Would definitely recommend him for any hard biology classes. If you have him and you put in the work, you'll pass with a high grade!

Since we have been online due to COVID-19, all of his lectures and labs are online. He is helpful and responds to emails in a timely manner, his lectures are lengthy, but he makes them fun, very funny guy. He helps you understand the material by giving examples of current things happening. Definitely recommend.

He breaks things down very easily so lectures are very helpful if you are not familiar with any Anatomy/Physiology, you can tell he enjoys teaching and he makes his lectures entertaining. He gives outlines on the material he wants you to focus on and taking notes is recommended.

Dwane is one of the BEST professors I have ever had. I remember reading his reviews and being a little scared to actually have him. But I am SO glad I did. He really goes above and beyond to make sure you know the material. He is always available if you need questions answered and answers quickly. There are 5 exams and a final. TAKE HIM. 10/10!!!

I didnt have him for lecture, but he was the one who taught lab for everyone taking 223/224 this semester. He is AWESOME!! I think hes the best lab prof Ive ever had so far lol. He made concepts understandable which made lab really easy (which i thought was impossible). He made online lab very enjoyable. I will miss A&P nerd headquarters!!

I enjoyed taking this class. He makes it really easy to study for tests, just use the objectives! I can't stress enough how important the objectives are. He's really nerdy but nice and he wants you to succeed. Tests are the entire grade and the final counts as just another test. Keep on top of it, don't wait until the last min to study! It's hard!

Honestly the best teacher, I had him for lab this semester and wow I was blown away! His teaching abilities are amazing he just made it make sense. Also made class fun because it was online. I would recommend him as your lab teacher.

Online Lab. Do not need to be available during specific class times. He teaches everything in details and is so funny to watch. Do not skip a quiz, there is one every week. He is great!!

I loved Prof. Aulner and I will be taking him for 224. He is funny and explains everything so well. I must say that his tests can be tricky, he will pull very random info from lectures so take good notes. Also I really disliked the fact that while taking the exams you cant go back to a question. You have to answer it in order to move on.

Great detailed youtube videos, and great in class one on one instruction. Never hesitates to explain any body part to you and in a great welcoming way, his analogies stick. Beware A & P is a difficult class no matter who you take but his way of assisting makes it approachable and doable. Would recommend for lab 10/10.

I had a different prof for lab but heard about his vids on YT so that's why I wanted to post this. He's awesome for lab and I bet if u watch vids for 223L or 224L you'll do well. I got A's when I found out about them halfway thru 224L & 95% on practical, but it's all about repetition and practicing; time consuming 4 sure. Work hard & study.

This is my second time taking this class here at CSN. Compared to the last professor I had, I feel like I am taking an entirely different course, which CSN definitely needs to look into the topics each prof covers. This prof goes out of his way for students and makes all the material very easy to comprehend given you study/ask questions.

I had Prof Aulner for 223 and I still feel the same way about him, he's funny and makes things very understandable. He uploads all his lectures so attendance isn't necessary. His class is just 6 exams (including the final) no extra credit or homework. His exams are difficult but if you take good notes and use the objectives it's fine.

I love that he knows what he is talking about but makes It so easy to understand by using his English terms which means he takes out the fancy words and just tells you exactly what It is. Easy to understand and honestly wish he taught every subject because he is just that good. He makes anatomy understandable and fun

Took him for both lecture and lab. Amazing professor! He records his lectures and posts it on canvas so if you missed the class you can still have access to the lecture videos. He also posts lecture and practice lab videos on his youtube channel and they are REALLY helpful in lab. I would take him again for 224!

By far one of the best professors I had here at CSN! He explains the materials clearly and also uploads lecture videos if you are not able to make it to class. Going to class, rewatching his lecture videos, and doing the learning objectives will help you a lot. Whatever he talks about in lecture or has on learning objectives are fair game for tests

Great professor and explains the materials clearly! The people that gave bad ratings probably did not put in the time and effort to study for his tests. This is not an easy class, but he gives you the resources to study for what could be on the test. He also makes youtube videos to help you study for lab. They are very helpful.

First off, Biol 223 is a hard class. No matter who you choose, biol223 will still be the same (same heavy load), you just have to find the right prof to teach it. Anyways, best prof hands down. VERY STRAIGHT FOWARD. 2 big tips; watch his lectures online AND* read the objectives. The objectives will come very handy when the final comes around!

Dwayne Aulner is a goofball and I had to speed up his online lectures but I'm so grateful for his labs and lectures online!!! I was able to revisit as many times as needed, take screen shots and study at times that were convenient for me. He doesn't require attendance in his lectures but lab attendance is always required. Will take again!

Prof. Aulner is amazing. It is so obvious that he cares about his students and is passionate about what he does. I wish I could take Prof. Aulner for more classes.

He was simple and straight to the point on what he wanted in lectures. Anything in his online lecture could be on the exam. Other anatomy professors were much harder and so he was the best.

Prof Aulner is amazing! regardless bio 223 is heavy no matter who you take. I just got lucky with him because you can actually understand him and teaches really well. He gives analogies for you toremember. He also has online recordings. I suggest attending the lecture and watching his online recordings to help on the test.

Took for 223 and 224. In person lecture and youtube videos will get you through. Not an easy class but 100% would take again.

Lab with Aulner is great. Aulner lets you study and do your own thing unless there is an experiment that needs to be done. He does not lecture at all for labs, which to be honest I was kind of hoping for, but at least he has a ton of free YouTube videos online that he made that you can study and watch, too. He is very organized. Highly recommend.

Prof. Aulner is awesome! Took him for lecture and he would do everything to help you remember things, including personal stories & analogies. He's hilarious and passionate about his job. Refers a lot to the textbook. His objectives and lectures are everything you need for the test. 4 exams and a final are what determine your grade. Study and GL! :)

Has online videos for you, provides great study tools and real life scenarios. Makes it easy if you need a flexible schedule with his supplementary video lectures. Really cool and enthusiastic about teaching. Use your objectives. Sometimes the questions are difficulty phrased but it's a difficult course regardless. He is one of the best.

I enjoyed coming to class! You can tell he loves science so much . It's really inspiring to see a person living in their purpose.This was definitely a positive learning experience for me. He's also very funny lol. If you watch his lecture videos along with showing up to class you will definitely pass. Looking forward to taking 224 with him.

Professor Aulner is an awesome teacher, I had him for BIOL 223 lab and I could not recommend him enough.

Great professor. He made me excited to come to class. Only missed one lecture all semester. Explains everything so well and his exams directly reflect the information taught in class. The only downside to this professor is how fast his classes fill up and I will not be able to take him for 224. Made me love Bio.
